Booked through Booking.com a month ago (12/24), received a confirmation email and everything. Just got to the hotel today (1/25) and it’s fully closed… A security guard came out to tell us the hotel is closed down so we’re scrambling. Don’t make the same mistake as us!

I stayed here for a week while I was in Makati. The location is great. It's walking distance from anything you'd like to do. The rooms are a cool, rustic design. Which I liked. The only problem I had was the different occasions I saw roaches. Now I understand I'm in Philippines, and sometimes you may see ants or a roach every now and then. But I killed a roach in my room almost everyday I was there. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay.

Pros - The staff was great, very friendly and helpful - The breakfast was tasty - The bed was comfortable - The room was cleaned and water replaced daily - Robes were a nice addition - Room 303 and 403 were good size - The location is good for nightlife and central so easy to explore the area by foot - Plenty of places to eat and drink in the area Cons - No soundproofing to the rooms, the rooms facing the street had balcony windows broken (we tried room 303 and 403) so we could hear the noisy street 24/7. The owner should really invest in replacing the broken windows as they are not sealed and we could not close them properly. There was no break from the noise and we could not sleep after 30h journey. Recovering from jet lag took us over 3-4 days with practically no sleep, we were irritated and desperate to leave this hotel - Hotel is located next to a few night clubs which blast loud music every day until 3-4am, it’s like a torture, the hotel is shaking from it and you can not sleep at all (I’m normally a heavy sleeper) - The hotel describes a hairdryer in a room but we didn’t get one (however the staff provided it upon request) - The hotel describes coffee in the room, but there was none - The room would benefit from some additional hooks to hang stuff, a full length mirror and some extra storage/cupboard - The breakfast included in price was a bit limited, only 3-4 options to choose from the menu, and 1 drink (either coffee/tea or juice) and the 2nd drink is charged - we felt it was a bit small for the price Overall, if you’re looking for a party and don’t mind sleepless nights on your holiday, you may enjoy this hotel. But if you want to catch up on sleep after a long journey and enjoy Manila with some peace and quiet in your room and a good night sleep, AVOID.

I love this place! it's all perfect. simple, functional and cozy. i felt so comfortable that i didn't leave the hotel for a day. which is also because the cuisine and service is excellent. For example, i had a slight cold and immediately a hot lemon on the table - just like that. That is service! As it is run by french expect french guests, too. Which is nice as well.

Penthouse is really spacious and has a huge bathtub! The bed was very comfortable. The room is clean and cozy. The only problem was the WiFi, didn't work in the room, only downstairs. The food is really top notch!! Best around. The chef is just amazing, anything we ordered was incredible (try that cheese spinach dip OMG!!). They make their own bread, and croissants that are totally worth the price (I had one loaded with cheese and a plain one, fantastic!). Drinks are pricey, but food definitely worth it.

Lovely hotel, great location, friendly helpful staff and very delicious food. But - the room we stayed in had no soundproofing so we slept very badly (and I am a strong sleeper). Cockerels, dogs, music from the reception and a strange beeping noise from outside kept us awake in room 202. When we inspected it looked like the window didn’t close properly hence making the noise worse. Make sure you ask for a different room and bring your ear plugs. Despite the noise and lack of sleep we did enjoy our stay here.

The breakfast was perfect and delicious. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Everything seemed to be relatively new which was great. I don't know if they were in the room when I got there or if they were in my luggage but I found a few ant-like, bed bugs. In addition to this, the hotel staff seemed annoyed in general, but not with me when I arrived. The hotel owner and his friends got a little tipsy/drunk which I found rather unusual but they seemed friendly.

I booked twice in this hotel since I really love the interior design, very unique and spacious. Staffs are accommodating, professional and very nice. Just had small issue with the noise, because there are times you can hear the people(cleaners) from outside chatting loudly. Nevertheless, it was still a great experience and would still book in the near future.

Yelp
I haven't spent a night there since I live a few minutes away, but I got the chance to view their rooms thanks to the owner. They each have their own unique design and look cozy with all the basic amenities needed to have an enjoyable and comfortable stay. I always recommend friends visiting to stay there (also because of the great location in Makati) and they all enjoyed it very much. As for their restaurant, i've eaten there several times and their food is just amazing. Everything is prepared with fresh ingredients and their menu will make you want to taste everything they offer. I know I do and always order something new and have never been disappointed. A must try for all the foodies of the City! And they have a great wine selection too :-)

Yelp
Beautiful small hotel in the up and coming Poblaćion of Makati City. Although it's my first time in this huge country, I feel very comfortable and relaxed at a place like Element Boutique Hotel. Front desk staff like Angel and Danny are so helpful and go above and beyond to assist. My first day here they were on the street hailing down taxis for me. Danny also looked around and purchased a converter for my power cord. Angel helps with everything. Another front desk staff booked my dentist appointment. I mean, exactly. Aside from that, I honestly love my room. The hotel is very modern/minimalistic, with the bare, polished cement and beautiful art hanging and also painted directly on the walls. There are flowers everywhere. The cafe downstairs has a beautiful bar and I can't express how good the food is here. I keep wanting to try restaurants around the neighborhood but at the same time I want to try all the items on the menu and I end up eating in! I'm not complaining though, the food is . I'll actually be back quite soon and I hope to book here again as well. I think I'll opt for one of the suites though, as my current room is comfy but small. Plus I've seen photos of the suites and they look like I wanna live there forever. Definitely inspo for my future home.
