Pros
- The staff was great, very friendly and helpful
- The breakfast was tasty
- The bed was comfortable
- The room was cleaned and water replaced daily
- Robes were a nice addition
- Room 303 and 403 were good size
- The location is good for nightlife and central so easy to explore the area by foot
- Plenty of places to eat and drink in the area
Cons
- No soundproofing to the rooms, the rooms facing the street had balcony windows broken (we tried room 303 and 403) so we could hear the noisy street 24/7. The owner should really invest in replacing the broken windows as they are not sealed and we could not close them properly. There was no break from the noise and we could not sleep after 30h journey. Recovering from jet lag took us over 3-4 days with practically no sleep, we were irritated and desperate to leave this hotel
- Hotel is located next to a few night clubs which blast loud music every day until 3-4am, it’s like a torture, the hotel is shaking from it and you can not sleep at all (I’m normally a heavy sleeper)
- The hotel describes a hairdryer in a room but we didn’t get one (however the staff provided it upon request)
- The hotel describes coffee in the room, but there was none
- The room would benefit from some additional hooks to hang stuff, a full length mirror and some extra storage/cupboard
- The breakfast included in price was a bit limited, only 3-4 options to choose from the menu, and 1 drink (either coffee/tea or juice) and the 2nd drink is charged - we felt it was a bit small for the price
Overall, if you’re looking for a party and don’t mind sleepless nights on your holiday, you may enjoy this hotel. But if you want to catch up on sleep after a long journey and enjoy Manila with some peace and quiet in your room and a good night sleep, AVOID.
