I visited this farmers market while in Canberra with a friend, and it was such a great experience! She stocked up on a whole week’s worth of fresh vegetables, while I enjoyed a delicious breakfast and coffee. The market is huge, with an amazing variety of fresh produce, baked goods, fruit, and veggies. It’s also pet-friendly, which is a lovely bonus. The place was very busy, but it was wonderful to see so much community support and energy. There’s seating both inside the market and outside by the green grass, making it perfect to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. A fantastic spot with something for everyone – highly recommend!

With over 100 stalls, it offers everything from seasonal fruits and vegetables to gourmet cheeses, baked goods, and handcrafted products. The market’s lively atmosphere and friendly vendors make shopping a delightful experience. Ample parking and well-organized layouts ensure convenience for all visitors. A must-visit for anyone seeking quality produce and a taste of Canberra’s local flavors.

Wide variety of high quality local goods such as handmade pasta, fish, vegetables, eggs, meats, processed meats, food stalls, coffee and mead stands among many others! Highlights from our first visit include the (exceptionally) succulent carrot cake pictured below from Rosa’s Home Bake, hearty and warming goulash with bread from the Hungarian stand, and an epic variety of mead from Stone Dog Meadery (highly recommend the Odin’s Reserve burnt honey mead). Will definitely be coming back to explore more of the market! Everything so far has been high quality and the experience is great overall!

However, the prices can be a bit on the higher side compared to regular supermarkets, which may be something to keep in mind. That said, the quality and freshness you get often justify the cost. Keep in mind, the market is only open on Saturdays, so planning your visit in advance is essential. It's definitely worth a trip if you're in Canberra and looking for high-quality, locally-sourced produce.

Nice little market to stroll around on a Saturday morning. We grabbed a breakfast bagel and a coffee which was fresh and tasty. The market is mainly food and has plenty to eat now or take home for later. Friendly stall holders and patrons all enjoying the fun vibe and atmosphere.

Hands down the best market in the area! Great selections of products, some you won't find in other smaller markets. In terms of hot food, bagels from Love Street is always my favorite!

Great market with a fantastic variety of fresh produce, local specialties, and handmade goods. Loved the vibrant atmosphere and friendly stallholders — it’s always a great way to spend a Saturday morning. Only reason for 4 stars is that parking can be tricky during peak hours, so come early if you can. Still, one of the best markets in Canberra — definitely worth visiting!

As an Adelaidian visiting Canberra briefly, I found the farmers markets to be the most brilliant way to check out local produce, get some delicious food for the week and chat to locals. All the stall holders were friendly and talkative! I got plenty of chocolates to take home to family and friends, and lots of delicious cakes and bagels for myself!
