Capital View Motor Inn Motel

Fantastic wee motel! Nestled just at the end of Cuba Street it is quick walking distance to a ton of eateries & shops. It's also close to the motorway, but has no traffic noise. Great views over Wellington. Clean & modern and with free parking. The owners are so friendly & accommodating. Highly recommend & would definitely stay again.

This was an incredible find in Wellington!! Free parking onsite, walkable to Cuba street and really clean and comfortable, friendly and accommodating staff. We stayed here for 3 nights first of all, then I ended up getting really sick a day after I left Wellington, we had to circle back to Wellington hospital, I wasn't ready to get back on the road yet, so we stayed another few days - the whole time the staff were so helpful. This was a great place to rest and recover - it felt like a safe home base and Hugo (the cutest check in dog) lifted my spirits <3 When I was well enough to leave, the staff wished me well. It was so lovely to be able to sleep so well and have everything we could need at the doorstep.|I can vouch for this place for just a very comfortable restful break or a convenient accommodation to see the sites of Wellington. It was perfect!|If you're driving North and South Islands, it's well worth spending 2 or 3 nights here. Great laundry facilities and the best sleep we had out of anywhere in NZ.

We had a wonderful stay here. The room was clean and comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. We didn't cook but nice to know that we could. The hotel is close to Cuba St but has free parking which is a real bonus. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful . We loved everything about this hotel!

Honestly can't beat the location, close enough to be in town while still away from the hub and noise, with good views across town. Good amenities - lovely refurbished bathroom, great beds and pillows, warm! Warm welcome from Dean and Karyn ... plus a charming little dog, with his his own emotional support dog, hiding in the background, making sure all went smoothly (and posing for a selfie).

Fantastic place to stay close to the city. Very affordable, super clean room, warm, very comfortable bed, spotless bathroom. Great views. Quiet considering how close you are to motorway. Very welcoming and helpful reception. Free off street parking, bit tight for large vehicles though but an added bonus nonetheless. Only negative is the tv wifi kept dropping when watching Netflix or TV on Demand so we just watched Freeview instead.

This hotel has affordable rooms, free parking, and is fairly close to the city center. And on top of that, the room was perfect and the folks at the front desk were lovely. We had no problems whatsoever and very much enjoyed our stay.

Couldn’t recommend Capital View enough. From the second we entered, we were welcomed and well looked after by the owners (sadly, did not get their names). We were kindly given lots of tips for the rest of our travels, and even typed up and printed it out for us! It was clear that they were both very kind and generous people. Our room was tidy and clean, bed very comfy and handy having a kitchen too. We loved being able to use the TV in bed and relax and the views from the window of Wellington were cool too! I felt very at home and comfortable staying at Capital View. We would without a doubt stay here again!

I've visited Capital View twice now, and each time I've received outstanding and friendly service. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, and the motel's fantastic location made it easy to explore Wellington's city centre on foot. Sheila was especially welcoming and incredibly kind. I highly recommend this motel.
