Perfect for a romantic getaway! Stunning historic building! The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet and walkable. We saw a show at the Fillmore and felt safe walking there and back. Carl, the owner, was gracious and served an amazing breakfast! The egg souffle was just perfect & the coffee was excellent! We loved the whole experience and would definitely stay here again! ❤️

Having never stayed in a bed and breakfast I was a little apprehensive but based on the reviews I decided to stay at Capital Hills for our two day stay in Denver. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience. Our room was clean and spacious with all kinds of special touches that made us feel like we were at home. Breakfast each day was delicious and freshly made and different from the previous day. I enjoyed relaxing on the front porch in my rocker after a walking tour of the capital area which was easily accessible from the mansion. Our hosts, Carl and his daughter, Bailey were friendly and gracious, making us feel we were part of the family. Do yourself a favor and skip the big, impersonal hotels and treat yourself to a special experience at Capital Hills Bed and Breakfast.

The building was easy to find being on a corner plot and having seen the photos online. |The owner had popped out and left a taped instruction for entrance which worked fine. He arrived shortly after we did and he gave us a great welcome, as did the fire in the turn of the century fireplace!|We booked the Bluebell Suite as this looked to be the biggest room and also had an attached sunroom. We had been travelling through the USA so had tons of luggage. |The bedroom was huge and comfortable. It was furnished with antiques so was not modern. But this was one of the reasons we booked it. Bed was quite springy and bouncy but lovely nights sleep. |Decent sized bathroom and super shower. Miniature bathroom products included. |Small kitchenette area with fridge and kettle. Very excited to see kettle after 2 weeks travelling in coffee machine only rooms! Cuppa tea in bed- just what we needed! |Sunroom was also large and included comfy chairs. This room has its own entrance so we could come and go without going through the main house. |Breakfast was served in the dining room sat with the other guests at the dining table. Very formal but a lovely way to have a chat with other travellers. Cafetiere coffee and juices, fresh fruit and yogurt every day. Then chef prepared a hot breakfast alternating between sweet and savoury. We ate blueberry pancakes, shakshuka. Delicious! |Next to the dining room is the parlour where guests can relax. |Great spot one block from cathedral, and Molly Brown House. Around 15 minute walk to State Capitol. Felt safe walking around the area. |All in all a very pleasant experience.

It was fabulous. The accommodations were beyond expectations and so tastefully done. The morning breakfasts were incredible, well presented, and the French Press coffee endless. It was also such a warm atmosphere where we were able to share experiences and tales with very interesting guests.

I first chose the bed-and-breakfast for its location, close to a concert venue and the Catholic cathedral, but also because of its beauty. Breakfast was over-the-top and absolutely delicious! The private secluded back patio garden was relaxing and inviting. The owner, Carl. Has private tables For two set up, but also larger seating so that you can have conversation with other visitors, which I highly recommend. It was by far the most relaxing place we have ever stayed. In the evenings, we would sit on the front patio in the quaint neighborhood. Carl is a down to earth, cowboy, chef and professional business owner all wrapped up together. He respects your privacy, but is also willing to have delightful conversation if that is what you prefer. The establishment is clean and comfortable. We had nice walks through the historic neighborhood. We will definitely be returning if we are in the area again!

Wow. I don't know where to begin with my review. I have not written a Trip Advisor review in years but my stay at CHM was so memorable I just had to spread the word. I love this place for couples, families, domestic and international travelers. The owners, Carl and Bailey, really know how to make their guests feel at home. They are accommodating by every definition of the word. The rooms were immaculate. Their breakfast is thoughtfully prepared with quality ingredient by their rock star chef, Cory. |The vibe defies explanation as CHM has the warmth of your grandparents house but there is also a precise and artful way these people do things. |I'm just looking for a reason to go back to Denver someday so I can stay at CHM again. |Many thanks to Carl, Bailey, and staff for making our stay so pleasant.

The hosts' warmth and hospitality made the stay exceptional, creating a truly cozy atmosphere that felt like home. The delicious, fresh breakfasts were a standout highlight. We were so impressed by every aspect that we're already planning our return visit.

What a delight of a b&b. I was only staying there one night to cover a gap in my conference hotel, but I wish I'd booked the whole stay here. Huge, adorable rooms with beautiful, solid wood furniture. The staff were so kind. When my flight got in early, I called to ask if I could access my room early for a shower and they bent over backwards to make it happen, and were so sweet about it along the way. Well worth any stay.

Yelp
We really loved the whole experience at Capital Hill Mansion. The owner/host Karl is so welcoming. Breakfasts were AMAZING and we really enjoyed getting to chat with the other guests. We were fortunate that the Christmas decor was still up, which really added to the whole weekend. It is stunning. We highly recommend this B&B.

Yelp
Had a wonderful 3-night stay at the gorgeous Capitol Hill Mansion Bed & Breakfast. When we were initially looking for a bed and breakfast for our upcoming trip to Denver, the owner Carl was tremendously helpful in accommodating our slightly difficult booking request. During our stay, my father was in Elk Thistle all 3-nights, 2-nights for myself in Gold Banner and spent the last night (husband joined) in Pasque Flower. All three rooms were amazing; Elk thistle is like an apartment suite: private bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. Loved the sumptuous rich colors of Gold Banner and Pasque Flower had a terrific jacuzzi. The beds mattresses were truly superb along with the pillows. I have high end luxury mattresses at home and these rivaled ours. The rooms were charmingly decorated, spacious, and clean. The water pressure was robust, and stayed nice and hot for a luxurious shower experience. Ample amenities in the room. The ambiance was warm and inviting. Arriving late the first night in a snowstorm, upon entering, how lovely it was to be greeted by a warmly lit fireplace. Breakfast was terrific, as was the fresh coffee served in an individual french press. Would definitely stay again if making another trip to Denver.

Yelp
We stayed for only one night while stopping through but we loved the quaintness of the Capitol Hill Mansion. Located in a cool neighborhood with many restaurants in a walkable distance (bonus- you will meet so many cute doggos out and about)! Carl, the owner and host is very hospitable and friendly. We loved the breakfast which was delicious and again, so quaint! If we're ever back in the area we will make sure to stop in again.

Yelp
This place is great! It is an older house, so the furnishings and ambiance are not modern, but it is unkept really well! The manager was really nice and showed us all we needed to access the house. The best part though was the breakfast. The owner is an awesome chef, and the food is so good! It is also right next to the convention center, so not far from anything!
google avatar

Yelp
What a wonderful experience! The staff were so friendly, and the architecture makes for a unique stay in the heart of Denver. It was quiet, romantic, and the perfect anniversary overnight. Took Uber to and from restaurant with ease and the morning breakfast surrounded by trumpet flowers made for a perfect end to a perfect evening. The very large tub in the Pasque Flower room sits inside the tower with incredible nighttime sky views. Best room in the whole B&B!

Yelp
Gorgeous house located in a very desirable neighborhood. Hosts are fantastic and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Owner Carl has been helpful with restaurant suggestions and things to do. I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast!

Yelp
One-of-a-king stay. If you want to surrounded by charm, history, warmth, and hospitality, this is your joint. Carl is a professional chef who will win you over with a prized breakfast each morning. His charming and personable daughter, Bailey, is the hostess with the mostest. They are great people who will do whatever they can to accommodate you and your loved ones. We visited in spring and in the winter. We try to stay there when we can. This mansion is a historic building a block away from Molly Brown's home. This mansion is located in the heart of Denver. It's close to everything it seems. You have the option of private or street parking. The garden and court yard are amazing in itself. My son visited and was treated like family while we were there. Trust me, stay here- you won't regret it.

Yelp
Had the most amazing stay at this historic beauty. Me and my partner stayed in the Shooting Star room and were treated with the most lovely experience for a birthday Stay-cation (as we live just a few blocks away). Staff was so kind and helpful, breakfast was great, the room was beautiful. Would highly recommend ,and plan on sometime going again for another special occasion!

Yelp
Great family-owned and operated homey bed and breakfast. Comfortable with modern bath and other conveniences but also with lovely old historic architecture and Victorian vibe. Breakfast in the morning is excellent and made fresh when you arrive, fresh fruit and coffee and juices. Wonderful, friendly owners. Free parking out back... an added bonus. Secured entry is on lovely covered front wrap-around porch.
google avatar

Yelp
Had a lovely stay here, would 100% return. Bailey was so welcoming and hospitable. The rest of the staff was also great - specifically the cleaning staff returned items left in the room after check out and the chefs made delicious breakfast each morning. The property was charming. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and eating in the garden. The Gold Banner suite was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. Very homey ambiance.

Yelp
Had a great time staying for a quick getaway. The rooms are all beautiful and the decor is to die for. Carl and his daughter were both incredibly welcoming. Plus they serve a delicious breakfast.

Yelp
Really nice bed and breakfast. The staff is friendly and the breakfast excellent. The area is nice and you can walk to parks from there
google avatar

Yelp
We can't say enough good things about this place. Beautiful, immaculately clean room with a breakfast to die for. Carl, the host, is so nice and is quick to respond to your needs, as well as being very knowledgeable about restaurants nearby. We stayed in the Elk Thistle suite, which has a kitchen. Wish it could've been longer! Do be aware that this particular room is on the third floor if you cannot do stairs ( not a problem for us.) Highly recommended.

Yelp
Had a fabulous night in the Paintbrush room. The house is stunning and very lovingly decorated and cared for. It's old so of course the floors creak so don't expect a perfectly silent stay. But the amenities are fabulous, the location is great, the breakfast is AMAZING and the innkeepers are so friendly. Will be going back often!
google avatar

Yelp
Outstanding place to stay in Denver. Carl and Bailey will make sure your stay will be enjoyable. I highly recommend this B&B.

Yelp
We loved our stay here. The building was so quaint. The hot breakfast was amazing. Just a short walk from Logan street for dinner.

Yelp
This is one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in. The owners are a wonderful family, and very personable. The breakfast was amazing. The rooms are beautiful. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
It was a magical experience for my partner and I this weekend, however, there were some extremely concerning things as well. I'll start with the magical moments. The location is amazing and very walkable to many things. This was great as my partner and I don't drive. The mansion itself is absolutely beautiful! It's charming and has Little House on the Praire vibes. We stayed in the Gold Banner room which was lovely. Chef Cory is amazing and we loved your waffles this morning! My partner surprised me with their Honeymoon package which made me cry. The cupcakes were delicious and the sparkling alcohol free wine was a great touch, especially for those who don't consume alcohol. , , Now, for the aspects of our staycation that we both thought were truly concerning and harmful. Bailey, I hope you read all of this too. You are wonderful and were so helpful and kind. Carl, we were both horrified and saddened to hear you talk to your daughter in the deeply disrespectful manner. Saying you proudly call your daughter your bitch and sometimes want to choke her is neither funny nor appropriate in front of guests or behind closed doors. It's cruel and shamefully misogynistic. It worries us how you behave with her when people aren't around. I wish I would have said something in the moment, especially because Bailey was right there and am sorry I didn't. We were both horrified and it shut us down. I hope you know, Bailey, that that wasn't okay nor amusing. , , So long as Carl is running things, we deeply regret we will not be coming back. It's truly a shame because we had a magical weekend. There was a lot of uncomfortable tension in the dining room during breakfast yesterday too because of this and the tone he used with his daughter. , , Be advised of these concerns but also know there are good things about the house itself.

Yelp
Carl and his daughter Bailey have been incredible all these years... So amazing for our family's regular visits, and we always add a few for breakfast even though they're staying elsewhere. Every breakfast is a culinary master piece, and today was potato, chorizo, shallot, and garlic hash with kale and two eggs over easy. Highly recommended and well regarded by many all over the world!
google avatar

Cathye S.

Yelp
This place is so fantastic! Staff are very friendly and the breakfast was very good. Coffee was excellent too. We stayed in the Bluebell room. Very quiet part of the house and it even has its own separate entrance. Easy check-in/check-out. Great location within walking distance of a lot of places.

Yelp
The best bed and breakfast I've stayed at in a long time. Comfortable and well-maintained historic home with beautiful architectural features, hand-painted murals, stained glass windows and all the modern amenities a traveler needs. Guests treated with respect and attention to detail by thoughtful caretakers. Highly recommended!

Cheryl J.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, the breakfast was melt-in-your-mouth delicious!!! The creme brûlée French toast, the egg and pepper jack cheese soufflé, the charming breakfast room, it was all so lovely. Thank you Carl for our beautiful morning!

Craig M.

Yelp
The proprietors (Carl and Bailey) are very nice and interesting to talk to. They do extra to make it a great stay - including setting out complimentary wine in the evening. The whole vibe was conducive to meeting other guests, and we had some great chats over wine. The breakfast was by far the best I have had in a b&b. Everything was delicious. Rooms are nice. I totally recommend this b&b
google avatar

Beth M.

Yelp
Enjoyed a beautiful stay at this bed and breakfast. I finally got my husband to agree to a b&b and he loved It! It feels like you are visiting old friends who just want to make sure you have a great time. Carl and Bailey are warm and friendly. They make you feel welcome. We had a great time people watching from our balcony. If you are on the fence about staying here...jump off and do it. You won't regret it. By the way....breakfast is DELICIOUS!

Julie K.

Yelp
"Warm & Relaxing Denver Hub" Easy to find, central location, and beautifully appointed. You'll love Carl, the mansion's owner and chef whose vast local concierge skills are rivaled only by his culinary creativity! The breakfast is always amazing and evolving. And while the human touch gives warmth, the impressive architectural details amaze- you'll find everything you need in your room with extra care and forethought at every turn. The lengths to which Carl will go to make your stay wonderful are unmatched; this part-time rodeo hand even sent me home with the cowboy hat off his head!! Who does that? Only Carl. Stay at the Capitol Hill Mansion- you'll be glad you did.
google avatar

Pam G.

Yelp
I adore this place! Very quaint and the owners are fabulous! Two men after my own heart! Love love loved them! Some of the room themes are a bit kitschy, but very clean and comfortable. Our bed in the "snowcap" room (I think that was the name) was soooooo comfy!! We even had a little balcony overlooking the street. Gorgeous when it snows! Every morning was a wonderful breakfast spread. Totally homemade! Seriously, these men work their asses off! Every evening there is a wine and appetizer spread. We met two of our now, best friends at one of these. So of course, Capitol Hill holds a special place in our hearts.

Yelp
A nice B&B located about 10 min. walk away from the 16th St Mall. Fresh breakfast every morning was a little heavy on syrup, but the pastries were delightful. We didn't like the country living decor that seems to pervade most B&Bs. But, we did enjoy the feeling like we were staying at someone's house. We stayed in the Gold Banner room, which has a tub in the corner of the bedroom. Yes, that's right, a tub. From shower to bed in less than 3 feet. You can either think that this is poor architectural planning, or the most rockstaringest thing for a guest room ever.
google avatar

Alissa N.

Yelp
What a great first B&B experience for us. Carl and Bailey were so sweet, accommodating, and are such great people. The daily breakfast in the mornings was 5 star quality. I loved it. There's juice and fresh fruit laying out. It was divine. We stayed in the Snowlover room. The mural was really nice and made us feel like we were in the mountains. The patio had a nice mountain peak view and the breeze at night sitting out there was really romantic. The shower was right in your room, which was weird but didn't bother us. You can hear people walking and talking in the halls FYI. Once they're in their rooms though you don't hear anything. For those who care, they had a memory foam mattress in the room. Those really hurt my back for some reason, just a consideration. I loved this place. It was in a great location with great people. Would definitely recommend to others.

Yelp
I went here for the first few days of my honeymoon with my new husband and it was WONDERFUL! My mom bought the romance package for us, so they set up a carriage ride through Denver from our dinner, and left champagne and a delicious cheesecake for us in our room, as well as gave us breakfast in our room on our final morning there. The room was gorgeous--we stayed in the Pasque Flower room, so we had a great view, a REALLY comfortable bed and a whirlpool tub right in the third floor turret. The tub was so awesome we took a bath twice in our two night stay and came close to trying to squeeze in another bath before we checked out that morning. But the best of all is the staff--we were in and our frequently that weekend so I didn't get to see much of them, but every time I interacted with them they were friendly, helpful and really enjoyable to talk to. Not to mention that they make some of the best breakfast and coffee I've ever had. My husband and I love Capitol Hill Mansion so much that even as we were checking out we were discussing trying to save up to stay again on our anniversary next year. If you're looking for a BnB near Denver, I can't recommend this place enough!
google avatar

Courtney C.

Yelp
We stayed in the Slowlovers suite at Capitol Hill Mansion B&B. The bed was comfortable and they provided a nice selection of pillows which was awesome! Our balcony had an excellent view, including the rocky mountains and it's also perfect for people watching. The entire B&B was clean, comfortable, and cozy. I love that the antique decor throughout suits this beautiful, historic home. The breakfast spread was seriously amazing! Carl is one heck of a chef and his vanilla bean brûlée French toast is to die for. Fresh fruit, coffee, juice and black pepper bacon rounded out the breakfast spread. A girl who was also staying there is gluten intolerant and Carl was quick to whip up something special for her. The owner is extremely accommodating and I appreciated that he emailed us the day we were scheduled to arrive to check on any dietary restrictions as well as our arrive time so he'd be there to greet us. The grounds are beautifully manicured, a couple of water fountains adorn the back deck making it a fantastic place to relax. We absolutely look forward to staying here again soon!

Yelp
Wow!!!! I love this b&b... my room was perfect... The hospitality was Great!! My breakfast was delicious! I will definitely be back!

Yelp
The location is great, quite and conveniently located close to downtown. The staff was wonderful, very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are charming and the included breakfast was wonderful. We look forward to staying here again and would not hesitate to recommend.

Lynn C.

Yelp
This place is wonderful. Carl is the perfect host, and Bailey was a delight! The mansion is beautiful and the rooms comfortable and lovely. I felt very much at home in this turn-of-the-century house, as if we were back in time, but with modern amenities! A word about the breakfast.....FANTASTIC! Carl created a peach crime brûlée French toast that was indescribable. Amazing food. We will definitely stay here again.

Donald W.

Yelp
Just can't rate it more than 2 stars, but. Other than the entry hall, you will not find any gilded age glory at this place. The sandstone exterior is eroding all around. The building perimeter is mounds of sand and chips of stone that have fallen from the building. There is an abundance of peeling paint inside. Our third floor room had rotting wood window frames. There may have been mountain views 20 years ago, but today all you get is a peek at some peaks between high-rises. Happy hour is an unattended bottle of wine on a counter in the dining room. Outdoor patio dining requires a treacherous walk over uneven stones and steps. The patio is lined with dead plants and unkempt shrubbery. Sadly degraded, not a handsome place at all. The proprietor adopts a demeanor best described as 'cowboy loud'. We were rudely accosted as to why we did not go to his suggested restaurant and why we chose to sit where we did on the patio. As for the gourmet breakfast - well, its breakfast - eggs, bacon, toast, waffles, coffee. In the eye of the beholder I guess... You can do a lot better.

Jo-Ann R.

Yelp
Bailey was a sweetheart. She made us coffee for our room the first day almost knowing we had a rough night. The breakfasts were amazing and you felt like you were sitting back in time. Everything was so beautiful and elegant. The room was just lovely. The shower was incredible. Great water pressure! And on the morning of our early departure.. too early for her wonderful breakfast... she gave us homemade cinnamon bread to take on the road with us. LOVE her and this home!
google avatar

Julie I.

Yelp
Don't like the place...We LOVE this place!!! We live in the neighborhood & had Sunday brunch. OMG! French Press coffee, two types of juice in carafes on the table waiting for us when we sat down. Free refills, although they give you plenty. We sat in their LOVELY garden. Hate to write a great review because I don't want the word to get out. So relaxing...beautiful setting, nice private tables for 4 ( I hate feeling cramped) with lovely white table cloths & the place settings were over the top. The attention to detail was designer level. A little cream pitcher with matching sugar bowl. You never see that anymore. Food designed by the chef. No menu. I told him I didn't like sweets or eggs ( I felt guilty) he made me THE BEST brunch I have ever had with yummy fresh items. My friends had egg souffles that they cannot stop talking about. Best bread pudding EVER!!!! Both Baily & Carl (Owner) stopped by several times to check on us & visit a bit. The nicest people you will ever meet. Friendly yet not intrusive. BEG for the bacon. There is bacon & then there is bacon you actually want to marry. I want to get married to Carl's bacon! I don't know what he did to it, but I have never tasted something so good. Everything is homemade. It is creative. I am a food snob & this is the best brunch of my life!

Yelp
Having lived a couple blocks from this beautiful bed and breakfast for a four years, I always thought if I ever needed a hotel in Denver, I'd stay here. So when I came back to visit, we did. The hotel is beautiful and lovingly restored. The rooms are clean and unique. The breakfast is superb- created with skill and pride by the owner. Lastly, the staff is friendly and easy going. Terrific stay, I think we will stay there again next year.

Anna J.

Yelp
we gathered as a house-full group for a weekend. the peaceful vibe of the massive stone house, sound absorbing aka restful, with its comfortably furnished rooms (i take issue with an earlier bad review as regards "gilded glory" - i don't want to tiptoe amidst relics and antiques. give me big comfy bed, chairs and bath amenities any day) made for a super and cost comparable alternative to a hotel stay. delicious breakfast was indulgent but carried me for the day, wine on the side board in the evening inspired cozy hangout time with friends as pre-dinner hour and next night, as the place to hang! thanks to our hosts, cooks and their B&B colleagues for making this a memorable and welcoming endeavor!
google avatar

Richard B.

Yelp
A historic building in the heart of the city. A beautiful mansion with great unique rooms for every occasion. Within walking distance of a ton of great restaurants and entertainment. Of course one meal you won't want to miss is brunch which rivals any in the city! Thank you Carl for a lovely time!

Steph D.

Yelp
We came to the Cap Hill B&B as a surprise from my fiancé to celebrate our engagement! The staff was very accommodating and allowed for our room to be decorated ahead of time with rose petals, campaign and the like. They even pitched in some rose petals of their own and offered to refrigerate some chocolate covered strawberries until we checked in to keep them fresh. Location in Cap Hill is awesome, one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Denver. Walking distance to parks, food, and downtown (about half a mile) Carl, Bailey, and Maria were so kind and hospitable! Carls breakfast was incredible and Bailey kept us very entertained while we ate. Breakfast gets 5 stars all on its own! It is important to note that this is an OLD building, so it has all the charm and character that comes with that. If you are looking for a modern sleek hotel, this will not be it. But if you are checking out a place with tons of character and people who genuinely care about you having a wonderful experience-look no further!

Haley L.

Yelp
We had an amazing weekend at this B&B. Cozy accommodations with historic charm, and the best breakfasts I have ever had in my life. The next time I visit Denver, this will be my first and only choice.
google avatar

T-Bone L.

Yelp
I thought the staff was nice when we checked in and I liked the room - nice and big. The next day, I met the owner who is an over-the-top-super-host. He wants you to love it there. Worked for me.

Scott M.

Yelp
I write this as I sit up in bed in the Elk Thistle Room, enjoying the free Wi-Fi in our wonderfully quiet and restful room! It is an easy walk to 16th Street, downtown and many attractions in Denver. In addition, a city bus stops regularly just outside. For us, we have had no trouble finding a parking space in the B&B's lot for our rental car. In other words, this is an ideal and convenient location. You will not want to rush out the door each morning due to the fabulous gourmet breakfast served - on the lovely patio if weather permits. Fresh fruit, juices, home baked treats, unique egg dishes -- every morning has been a wonder! One other aspect of this lovely property worth mentioning is that there is great attention paid to each guest's needs. I am the sort who needs less attention, so I have been very pleased with the privacy afforded for us to come and go as we pleased. At the same time, I have observed our hosts providing restaurant recommendations and following up on advice provided to other guests. The folks here at Capitol Hill are thoughtful, capable and attentive. If you are seeking an enjoyable Denver experience, you cannot do better! Prepare to be wowed from the moment you first view this beautiful home.

Yelp
I was in town for a family wedding and cousins stayed here. I came to visit and Bailey was so kind and funny and brought me coffee long after their breakfast hours had ended. The next day they let my cousins invite 5 people to breakfast and it was terrific. I know my cousins liked staying there and, from what I saw and experienced, I would considerate it for my next visit to Denver.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The food, location, room, owners, and business philosophy here are superb. I first visited this place when they hosted a charitable event (free of charge) and were so welcoming and hospitable the entire time. They left rooms open for us to tour. The rooms are all set up differently, while it isn't my decorating style, very true to B&B decor. The food is great and you feel instantly welcomed and relaxed upon entering. Definitely recommend it to visitors looking for a non-commercialized stay in Denver. It's in walking distance of downtown and also the quaint cap hill neighborhood.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stayed here the day before Valentines day. I live in Capitol Hill but this was a great getaway! It's just a $6 taxi ride to downtown, Denver. The bathroom was bigger than my apartment. It was plenty warm and the giant whirlpool tub was awesome. Comfy, firm bed and great views of the area from the balcony outside our room. I just wish we could have stayed for breakfast! So charming and awesome, accommodating owners.

Yelp
The room was charming and cozy, and the breakfasts were amazing each day. Bailey and Carl were so warm and hospitable!

Yelp
Just spent 2 days there and much enjoyed it. Lovely room and unbelievably fabulous breakfasts. One small complaint: The AC in my room was too cold and the room had no thermostat, so I had to ask the staff to adjust the temp, which never was quite right. Thiat said, if I come back to Denver, I will definitely stay here.

Yelp
The Capitol Hill Mansion Bed + Breakfast is a true gem in Cap Hill, both for its lodging and cuisine. The brunch, cooked + crafted by Carl, is delicious (order the soufflé if it's on the menu) and the rooms are clean, cozy and full of charm + character. I can't wait to take a staycation here and have tasty brunch in the morning! Call to reserve your spot for brunch in advance as it is reservation-only.
