A stunning heritage theatre in the heart of Singapore. I attended a TEDx event here and the experience was unforgettable. Comfortable seats, great atmosphere, and beautiful architecture. A true gem.

Whee In fan con [OWHEECE] in Singapore on 1 Nov 2025 (Sat) Experience: 4/5 - wish the VIP is seated though 🥲 me can't stand for long, so is sitting at level 2. - started at 6pm, ended around 8:20pm. Love this arrangement, we don't have to rush for last train/bus! Hope more concerts follow this trend. - staff and security guards are friendly. There's food & drinks to buy before entering the venue after the security check. water (own bottle/ice mountain) are allowed to bring for level 2, not sure about 1st floor, should be same 🤔 - sound system was bad, speaker almost burst from I've heard, music blasting our ears. I guess the sound engineer failed to control the music level, it's too loud and covering the vocal of the artist (not sure if they had soundcheck beforehand because it wasn't listed in the benefits this round)🥲 The sound was okay for Moon Byul, Solar & Lee Youngji's concerts in the same theatre. Whee In vocal is really good when there isn't music. Translator's pitch is too low, can't hear him clearly sometimes 😂 - lighting effects on stage is great but it keeps shinning the eyes of audience at level 2 ✨️😎

We went to The Capitol Theatre for Harshdeep Kaur’s concert. Fantastic venue. Centrally located. Easily acceptable via MRT (City Hall MRT). Plenty of food options. Seating is nice and comfortable.

This was the first time I was attending concerts at this theatre and ironically it's for a marathon, 3 concerts over this weekend. As part of the SG60 celebrations, the National School of Drama, India had organized 3 of it's special theatre performances here: Abuigyan Shakuntalam; Babuji; and, Taj Mahal ka Tender! Each performance was a masterclass in storytelling—blending powerful scripts, rich emotions, and the timeless artistry of Indian theatre. The passion and precision of the actors left me deeply moved, a reminder of how the stage continues to bridge cultures and connect hearts across borders. Finally the Capitol Theatre is a stately building within the Capitol Kempinski complex and has a large theatre stage and facilities which while historical, are exceptionally well maintained. Kudos to the management, to the India High Commission, to the SG60 team; and to NSD for a great weekend of fun and entertainment! Thank you!

Beautiful old theater I used to go to 40+yrs backwith comfortable chairs. Was here on a church service. Good clean toilets just outside the theater and many different eateries on different levels of the building.

Built in 1930, Capitol Theatre is coming to a Century of existence. An iconic landmark up to this day. Most things around this theatre have changed but the building remains. Such nostalgic memories. I remembered clearly coming here for movies, buying kacang putih & the short break halfway thru movies. Stall seats (lower floor) costs $2.50 & Circle seats (upper floor) was $4. I'm sure it was cheaper before my time.

The theatre was built in with an retro, noble & elegant design. We enjoyed performing at the theatre with others community centres.

The mall has excellent restaurants and a pleasant atmosphere. I particularly enjoy the Dim sum in the Chao Yue Xuan and Hong Kong foods in So Good Char Chan Tang.
