Capitolo Riviera, an SLH Hotel

My stay at Capitolo Riviera was absolutely magnificent from start to finish. The hotel itself is stunning, a true hidden gem in Genoa that feels both luxurious and welcoming. The customer service was beyond exceptional, especially from Simone on the concierge team. I have never experienced such personal, curated, and thoughtful service in all my travels. Simone went above and beyond, helping me book train tickets, offering brilliant suggestions for exploring the Italian Riviera, and anticipating every need before I even asked. His attention to detail and genuine care made my stay unforgettable. The breakfast was fresh and amazing and the waitstaff is top notch. Loved the dinner at Botanico too. Major bonus points for being just five minutes from the train station as well. Every interaction at this hotel felt first class. From the beautifully designed spaces to the warm hospitality, Capitolo Riviera sets a new standard for excellence. I was truly sad to leave and cannot wait for the day I can return. Simply outstanding in every way!

The whole staff is well trained, friendly and helpful. The structure is modern, recently opened, and the spa and pool area and Gim are just state of the art. The public spaces are perfectly cared for, and quiet. The rooms are modern, with the bathroom with all possible amenities. Lighting is ok and suitable for the morning make up session of a lady! Our room 206 was nice and sufficiently spacious but other rooms were small.

Our stay at the Capitolo Riviera Hotel was nothing short of exceptional, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! The location is fantastic—conveniently close to the train station, making it a breeze to explore the stunning Riviera. The hotel itself is a modern gem, with sleek, beautifully designed architecture and impeccable landscaping that create a welcoming and luxurious atmosphere. Everything was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. What truly set this hotel apart was the staff. They were incredibly helpful, warm, and went above and beyond to make our stay feel like home. A special shoutout to Simone, who was an absolute star! He organized a boat charter for us, which turned out to be the highlight of our trip—swimming in the crystal waters of Portofino and visiting the sunken statue of Jesus of the Abyss was an unforgettable experience. The hotel also impressed us with their attention to detail, even ensuring our electric car was fully charged and ready to go. In an area where finding a high-quality hotel with exceptional service can be challenging, Capitolo Riviera is a true standout. We’re already looking forward to our next visit! Highly, highly recommend this hidden gem.

Beautiful modern hotel in Nervi, near Genova, striking architecture in the lobby and pool. We spent 4 days here, walking distance to many restaurants and the train station is 300 metres away. Strategically located near St Margarita and Porto Fino. Tip, if driving to Porto Fino, go early as the parking fills up and the police close access by car. ||Access to the sea boardwalk is a 5 minute walk and is perfect for a sunset view and a 15 minute walk to the seaside village with many restaurants. ||Excellent service, from the restaurant and reception. Special thanks to the manager, concierge, Simon who was very helpful with suggestions and bookings. ||If you are adventurous, access to swim in the sea is possible, from the boardwalk, down steep stairs and rocks. We did not attempt, but saw others swimming.

A true 5 star hotel. The name truly says it all. It’s a small modern and luxurious hotel! Not sure where they get their mattresses, pillows, and blankets from but we definitely need more of them in this world! Probably the comfiest bed I’ve slept in. Also just a 5 minute walk to the gorgeous coast and boardwalk of Genova!

Peaceful, Beautiful, and Absolutely Exceptional||Capitolo Riviera was everything we hoped for and more. Nestled in a peaceful, treehouse-like setting, it’s just a quick train ride to the city center—so you get the best of both worlds. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, spotless, and perfect for unwinding.||||The staff were truly amazing—so warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. We were blown away by the hospitality. The food was absolutely delicious, with creative cocktails that made every meal feel special. The spa was clean, calming, and the perfect way to end each day.||||If you’re looking for a serene escape with easy access to the city, you won’t find a better place. Already dreaming of our return!

We originally chose the Capitolo Riviera because we throught Portofinio and Santa Margherita Ligure would be limiting. The Capitolo, a block from the train station, offers easy access to Genoa, Santa Margherita Ligure, and Cinque Terre. We found a hotel that was lovely and exceeded our expectations. Genoa-Nervi, a former fishing village, is a suburb that offers a range of restaurants and stores with a boardwalk that is accessible to the old harbor. The Capitolo Riviera is a modern in a 1950's contempory style located in a park. The Hotel restaurant, il Botanico, was so good that we dined their twice. The best part was the warm and professional service from all the staff. I would especially highlight CR's two concierges, Simone and Simona, who provided insightful recommendations from restaurants to the best times to visit various sights. They really added to the success of our visit.

After staying at the Capitolo Riviera with my wife for a week,I can't fault it! We both enjoyed our stay with ALL staff being as helpful whilst we were there. A great place that was situated ideally for us to reach places like Portofino,Genoa,Monterosso & Santa Margherita. Meals were top notch (Breakfast and Evening). Our thanks to both Simona and Simone who made our stay as pleasurable as it could be!
