Excellent location and nice rooms. Unfortunately the organisation lacks leadership. Like on of the comments that have been posted for dinner the suggestion was Tagliatelle all' Aragosta (Noodles with lobster). Nobody told us the price which was around €250 for two persons, and besides it arrived luke warm. Most evenings loud techno music accompanied dinner. Breakfast organisation was also below a four star resort. Calling the reception from the room was often not answered. |We had a good stay though because of the nice room and the great beach. We ordered breakfast to the room after the first days which was, albeit sometimes 45 minutes late ok. For not having to listen to the Techno sound we had dinner in a small restaurant nearby and hired a taxi to come and go. This was well organized by the hotel. With these measures we really enjoyed our stay at a bit of an extra cost.

I would like to point out that the only reason why I don't give this resort four bullets is because of the poor quality of food. Breakfast not really up to the expectations and lunch to forget. Acceptable dinner but you cannot starve until evening! The sea is magnificent, the pool and the spa are nice and enjoyable. The service is good and the kindness of the people working in this resort is a total plus.

My review after one week at Capovaticano Resort The hotel itself is truly stunning. The rooms are spotless, the gardens are filled with colorful flowers, and the views of the sea are absolutely breathtaking. The atmosphere is peaceful and luxurious, with a beautifully equipped spa and a gym that exceeded my expectations. The pool area is immaculate, with plenty of space to relax. However, the services leave much to be desired. Let me start with the beach: only guests staying in the most expensive suites or presidential rooms have access to the front row sunbeds with mattresses. All other guests are placed in the second row, without any padding, and if you want a comfortable sunbed, it will cost you €50 per day — yes, €50 just for a mattress. 😅 And if you want an extra towel, be prepared to pay €2.50 for it. They provide only one towel, so if you need one for the beach and another to dry off — that’s extra. Now, let’s talk about the breakfast. I must say — and I rarely complain — it was one of the worst hotel breakfasts I’ve ever seen. Very poor in quality and variety. If you have a gluten intolerance like I do, forget it — except for a small dry gluten-free bun, there’s nothing suitable. Bring your own snacks from home. The beach restaurant was a big disappointment — overpriced and very mediocre food. Honestly, for a hotel of this level, the chef should be urgently replaced. Luckily, just outside the resort, you can find lovely local restaurants with authentic Italian food and a much better vibe. It was my first time in Italy, and sadly, I regret booking a full week here. The beauty of the place makes up for some of the frustration, but I will not be returning. I can afford a good holiday, but I also expect quality service — and this resort did not deliver. That being said, the location is magical, the sea views are unforgettable, and the environment is postcard-perfect. It’s truly a shame that the management doesn’t match the elegance of the surroundings. I sincerely hope they improve the service, because this place has so much potential.

I stayed in this great resort for the second time with wife and daughter. It's a magic place, right on the sea on a lovely beach overlooking Stromboli vulcano and sicilian coast. All very much at hand, two very nice restaurants, beach, pool, thalasso spa, located not far from Tropea. The staff were kind and always ready to help, from the housekeeper to the beach guys. Worth mentioning, we had an issue with our room during our stay that was immediately addressed by the hotel manager Danilo. He was been outstanding and very professional all along, making our stay pleasant regardless of the inconvenient. We will be back soon!

The location and the facilities are absolutely great. The beach is clean so is the pool , the rooms, the restaurants in the spa facilities. ||What is absolutely below any standard even if a two star hotel is the quality services offered. It seems that staff have been literally hired from the street to serve the guests here. ||For example we were notified of a cancellation of our reservation two hours before that dinner happened. At breakfast you wait at least 3/4 of an hour for any server to attend and pick up your orders. ||Rooms were not cleaned by 15.00! ||For the price that’s being paid in that place I can absolutely not recommend coming here. There is other places around here That are cheaper and a lot better quality.

Hotel is immaculate. Rooms are great with double sinks in the bathroom comfy beds. Great views from the beach pool area and your room. ||The hotel restaurant is lovely however the service needs to improve. We stopped eating there as it was like being in a fast food restaurant and not at all relaxing. The last meal we had there we felt stressed so left and took our wine to the pool bar instead . Wrong food and the waiter was running around like he was under pressure. ||No idea why they don’t provide comfy beds for all guests and charge €50 euros per day for beach beds with cushions on. ||Spa was nice. Massage was €120. You can use the spa free of charge if you are staying at the hotel. ||Overall I would recommend staying here however you cannot walk to any restaurants. cabs will be needed it’s at the bottom of a very steep hill. €60 into tropea return cab.

What a truly wonderful stay!! Everything was wonderful: - the location, amazing service, outstanding breakfast, and the breeze from the ocean - wow!! heaven! The hotel is best (5 ⭐️) of the region! The quality all top notch (room, view volcano stromboli, restaurant, beach spa and pool) 👍👍 To mention the restaurant…excellent…if you like fish…perfectly local style 😋😋 Also the local wine 🍷 🥂 very affordable and very good quality. The service very friendly and cleaners very good your room 💐||The location half hour taxi near Trompea…worth to visit…if you boat trip…or shopping….or dinner or lunch….lots cafe and restaurants hinden “vicolo“ (small alleys).||My wife and I return the future this hotel again 😊
