Our absolute favorite stay during our April vacation. Hosts were lovely, breakfast was amazing, comfortable rooms and gorgeous location. Host gave us information on the Burren during check-in; sincerely wished we had time to stay longer! Do not hesitate to book here! We will be back!

From the moment Lind and I enterd Cappabhaile House we were greated by a deep "warmth". We immediately felt comfortable and cared for. Naturally, it all began with owners Connor & Margaret greated us like old friends and they were so much fun to talk to and be with! The details of the home they built were filled with such artistis flair. The rich color schemes in the very large rooms were luxurious. The photographs adorning the hallways showcased the Burren landscape, flowers, birds and animals. Cappabhaile House is central to so many wonderful things to see & do in Ballyvaughan. The morning breakfast sets you up well with the energy needed to enjoy the area! Don't miss out on Margaret's most delcious Irish Oatmeal! Town is within walking distance as is the Burren College of Art & Newtown Castle. We don't remember our room #, but it was towards the back of the house, with a view of the cows in the meadow and Newtown Castle. Two beds, a couch and a wonderful tea service. Our tub was large enough to get pleasantly lost in. While inside and out this is a beautiful place, make sure you go out in the night to enjoy the starscape!

We have just returned from an 8 day Staycation travelling the Wild Atlantic Way. We enjoyed our holiday travelling as a family together enjoying the Wondering sights from Kerry to Clare....Without a doubt the most memorable part of the holiday was our stay in Cappabhaile House in Ballyvaughan. Cappabhaile House and the proprietors Conor and Margaret and their Staff epitomise what Hospitality is about. The bad weather didn't dampen our spirits while staying in such a welcoming and wonderful place. A genuine welcome is received here and attention to detail is paramount. Breakfast is the best we have ever enjoyed on our travels over the years through Ireland Scotland England and other Countries.Margaret your Porridge is "Delicious" and your fruit bowl is truly Magnificent. The Games Room and Tourist Information are huge assets. Thank You for a truly enjoyable and memorable stay....If we return to Clare we know where to call.... Regards, Marie Mick Lorraine Cuong Mai Ly and Kai Travelling the Wild Atlantic Way.....

Cappabhaile House is a MUST stay when visiting Ballyvaughan. Conor & Margaret are the kindest & most generous hosts. Our room was so clean and absolutely gorgeous, with a stunning view of the Burren. The house is a 2 min drive away or 15-20 min walk away from the main part of town, and they gave us “high vis” vests like the locals have so we’d be safe walking at night. The breakfast was by far the best part- you fill out your order card the day before and it’s ready when you come down, and everything they make in house is absolutely delicious. Conor was even kind enough to drive us into town to catch our bus to Galway so we didn’t have to walk with our bags!! Truly could not reccomend this beautiful house and their generous hospitality enough.

The owners are very sweet and friendly. However, many issues: the room was dusty, and we found dirty towels from previous guests, which was unhygienic. The mirror on the floor served no clear purpose and only showed us our feet. There was a frustrating lack of outlets. The Wi-Fi in the room (#9) was consistently HORRIBLE, and breakfast offered no fruit. Overall, the price was way too high when compared to the other far superior B&Bs we've stayed at in Ireland.

I often say that Cappabhaile House is the best B and B in Ireland, and my most recent visit in October confirms this. Owners Conor and Margaret welcome guests, provide a wealth of information on the area, and create a comfortable atmosphere, often going above and beyond. The rooms are large, charmingly decorated with classic/timeless features, and have great views. Clean, comfortable, and well equipped, I've slept well every night I've stayed there. The breakfast is outstandingly tasty, and always exceeded expectations :). It's a wonderful place to use to explore the Burren and the richness of this part of Ireland. I'm so glad I discovered Cappabhaile House 23 years ago so I could keep going back to visit every year!

Huge room, lovely big bed, more like a suite than a bedroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was the best we had on the Wild Atlantic Way. I really liked all the photographs in the hall and rooms of Irish wildlife and plants which Conor took the time to explain who had captured for him. |Lovely views out of our room to cows in the fields.|It was very quiet, it is only when you go for breakfast do you see how many people were staying. |Location was excellent for visiting the Cliffs of Moher.

Yelp
Amazing B&B we discovered when hiking along the west coast. The room was large and very comfortable, breakfast both mornings was amazing.

Yelp
An unexpected gem! We stayed here ate a last minute decision and are so glad we did. The rooms are huge, clean, and come with amazing views of cows, fields, and the mountains of the Burren. Breakfast is delicious and huge! We didn't have to eat lunch because we were still stuffed. Cooked to order you have plenty of choices on the menu. The location is very convenient to the Cliffs of Moher, Burren National Park, and a scenic easy drive to Galway or Shannon. We will be back.
