I usually spend a lot of time looking at reviews and doing my research before booking accommodation, however this time I didn’t have the chance to do so as we had a mixup with our original booking at another place, and it was salone del mobile week and everything was fully booked. ||||We arrive to this hotel, which is in a lovely area with beautiful surroundings. It is an old monastery and the interior is kind of made to fit the building, which is a plus. ||||The rooms are fine, nothing special. And if this was the experience we would have simply said to ourselves we had an ok stay. Sadly that was not the case. ||||Firstly the hotel has breakfast from 9-11. I have never in my life experienced a 4 star hotel where they don’t offer breakfast for people who have to go to work or start earlier than 9. The breakfast itself is a normal, typical Italian breakfast with cakes and coffee. ||||Then the worst part of the experience, which actually made me feel bad for others who might come after me, not knowing what they are in for. And therefore I found it important to write this review. The prices for dinner and lunch at this place is absolutely disgusting. If this was a Michelin star restaurant, I would understand. But €40 euro for a simple Tuna salad, which by the way was awful. For dinner we had tiny plates of pasta, which was not very good, and the tiramisu is the worst I’ve ever had in my life. I live in Italy and I have to say most Italian restaurants and hotels are overall very good, and Italians take great pride in their hospitality industry. But this place is an absolute disgrace. The fact that they justify their insane prices and on top of that have a horrible attitude and zero sense of what actually descent customer service means makes it even worse. ||||I shocked, and I will never make the mistake of not reading the reviews again. I sincerely hope the owners read this review and take it seriously, because you cannot treat your customers like this.

Settled above a hill in the very heart of the Franciacorta wine region, this is an old friar’s convent converted into top level resort.|At the entrance there is a spa which we did’t use but from the photographs it should worth the visit.|There is a good and quite big outdoor swimmimg pool in the botanic garden.|The rooms are obtained from the old friar’s cellar, all wood on the cealing and modern resin on the floor: the bedroom is in the mezzanine of each room. Absolutely amazing!!|Beautiful and charming place to stay!

Such a beautiful hotel, it was an old monastery, they have kept the simplicity but the rooms are spacious, cosy and stylish. The staff were very helpful, Marco Pellizzari - general manager - was great at explaining all the food and wine, the food was almost Michelin star, especially the cod with chickpeas and franciacorta froth - you must try this. The spa looked great, but we didn't have time to indulge in this as it was a business trip. ||||This place would be ideal for guests to stay in after a wedding.||||So close to the Bergamo airport and near to lots of vineyards and restaurants. ||||I will definitely book to stay here again!

The food is delicious! A real gastronomic treat. From the starters to the dessert. Plenty of choices for no meat/fish eaters. Location and interior really beautiful. We stumbled upon the place by chance but it is now a definite stop every time we pass through the area. If you have a day or two, book some time in their spa or even better a room at their hotel. Gorgeous, just gorgeous!

Very nice setting, it’s an old monastery converted into a resort. All common spaces are really well finished. It’s clear that whoever designed it has good taste.|We havent tried the spa because we had no time, but from outside it looked very beautiful.|We stayed for 2 nights in what they refer to as Junior Suite. It is a very standard room, quite small and far from the pictures shown on the site and booking.com.|The room is not very new any more and might need a little “refreshment”, especially in the bathroom.|The level of cleannes is sufficient, but not enough to make me feel completey at ease (found a piece of old food in the floor).|But what the place misses is making the customer feel at the center. The customer is just a user of a nice place, so forget any experience where the place is there to make you happy. It’s rather that you are there to let this place exist.|Small details: we found the toilet paper already started, water boiler missing even if requested, no chance to make coffee or tea on your own, no welcome drink.|Overall, it is extremlly overpriced for what is offered. For 190 per night I’d definitely go somewhere else.|A final and different comment is the restaurant for both the dinner and the breakfast. The quality of the food is very high and the service is also quite good.

At the top of a long winding driveway is this gorgeous hotel with sweeping views of the vineyards Franciacorta wine region. The hotel is surrounded by lovely gardens -- make sure you walk up the hill and wander all the paths around and above the pool. The wineries and the restaurants in the area are mostly a 15 minute drive away, so if you’re going for the wine this is not the most central location, but still close enough to be convenient. The hotel is much larger than it first appears — there was a large wedding taking place but all the reception rooms are on a large lower level and we never were bothered by noise or crowds of wedding guests.||||The owner Rosalba was very helpful before my arrival, quickly answering my emails, suggesting restaurants and making a restaurant reservation. She answered my emails in English so I was surprised when I met her that she did not speak much English at all. The other staff we encountered spoke very little English as well, and the reception desk was often closed with no staff to be found. So it was challenging to communicate in person or to find someone to ask for help (like finding an iron to iron a dress.) My suggestion to English speaking guests is to make as many arrangements as possible via email before the trip.||||We booked a suite and we were given the suite that is featured in the photos (with the pink walls) on the website. It is Room 15 Cella S. Francesco. I know they have more than one suite, but be aware that this suite has only a jacuzzi tub, and no shower. I haven’t taken a bath in years, but thankfully the tub has a hand sprayer, so I sat in the tub and my husband washed my hair for me with the sprayer. Another odd thing was the hairdryer attached to the wall was covered with rust (it still worked fine.) The room was quite rustic and the furniture was not comfortable. The plus side of this room is it’s on a corner with windows on two sides, so lots of light and amazing views down over the valley. The mattress was extremely comfortable and we slept very well. My friends had a non-suite room and it was actually much nicer and had a normal shower.||||Breakfast was simple but good quality. The cakes and pastries were very good as was the homemade jam. If you want eggs you need to ask — one morning we ordered fried eggs sunny side up and a side of proscuitto and it was all delicious. I was told it would be extra, but our final bill did not include a charge, which was nice. The design of the restaurant is beautiful. There is no bar or public area to hang out and order a drink (unless you're at the restaurant for dinner.) So bring your own wine and corkscrew and enjoy it in the lovely courtyard or garden.

A very nice location in the middle of Franciacorta. The resort stands on the top of a hill and many rooms are carved into the rocks. This makes the ambience very suggestive. In particularly, the room where I attended the working event was carved into rocks but also has a balcony (because it was located on the side of the mountain). Because of this, from there, I could also have a view of the campaign below. At Cappuccini Resort I also had lunch which was very good. The dishes were refined with a good balance of flavors. Definitely a nice place to spend the day!

Loved the atmosphere, interior and presentation of the meals. Just wonderful. Comfortable, cozy and elegant at the same time and the service was the most fluent I have ever seen. Great job guys! Hope to be back some day
