Capra

We had a truly wonderful evening at Capra in Koper. The starters – carpaccio and scallops – were outstanding in both quality and preparation. Our main courses, tagliatelle with prawns and fuši with truffles, were perfectly balanced, beautifully presented and full of authentic flavor. A special compliment to our waiter Robert. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and extremely helpful. His wine recommendation matched our dishes perfectly and made the experience complete. Simply a perfect evening. Thank you – we will definitely be back!

Our first restaurant stop in Koper during our holidays — and it set the bar high! Even with 30°C outside, I couldn’t resist trying the soup of the day, and it was amazing. For the main course, we enjoyed crispy calamari fritti and a delicious seafood dish with tomato and polenta. We paired everything with an incredible Slovenian wine. We’re coming back here one more time before we leave — and we highly recommend booking in advance.

An excellnt fish restaurant! Very reasonable prices for a restaurant of that quality. I had the seafood mix with polenta, the branzino, and an shrimp entree, all fresh and delicious, paired with local vine.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Capra Restaurant! This fine-dining establishment, part of the Grand Koper Hotel where we were staying, is also open to the public. The staff, consistent with the excellent service throughout the hotel, were incredibly nice and friendly. The menu offers a delightful variety of dishes, ranging from meat and fish to pasta and decadent desserts. For starters, we savored the prawn tartare and beef carpaccio. Our main courses were both homemade pasta dishes – one with clams and the other with shrimp. For dessert, they offered a "dessert of the day," which was a delightful surprise. Every plate was beautifully presented, and the food was absolutely bursting with flavor. We highly recommend Capra Restaurant for a wonderful dining experience!

This place is magic. The newly renovated indoor is stunning, all details show care and class. The food was absolutely incredible, it tasted good and fresh, with combination of flavors that were a party for the mouth. The wine that have been suggested was gorgeous and easy to drink. But the best was the true gentleman waiter. He cared for us, listen to us carefully and was never too much. My mom is following a strict diet and he changed her appetizer (on the house) to match her needs - she was highly impressed. I just loved it.

Such a wonderful restaurant with a great location and very attentive wait staff. We started with fresh pasta very liberally dressed with black truffles. Perfectly cooked and the truffles had that umami flavor. Next we went with a whole sea bass cooked in local salt. Fish was deboned table side and was moist and juicy. The salt gave it a smokey flavor without being overly salty. The sunset at the end of the meal was the perfect dessert.

If you like fish and you are a couple, stop looking! The fresh, local fish in a salt crust was absolutely amazing! The waiter was super attentive, with loads of good tips for wine and food. You also have a nice ocean view. What else can you ask for? 🤩
