Great experience overall, friendly staff, good portions and decent price. Will def be back ! Accommodated my 1 year old with a booster chair and the server was super friendly with him. Very tasty dessert we got the heart shaped cheesecake with chocolate covered strawberries

I’ve been coming to Gigi’s Capri for years and have always loved the food and service. We came here for dinner last week. The vibe is very Italian, dimly lit and Sinatra playing. My only criticism is the tables are too close in the main dining room. This time we had Mo as our server and absolutely loved him. He was personable, friendly and provided attentive service. My husband and I each had a glass of Chianti and then shared the eggplant rolls. They were so light and creamy. Hubby had a salad and I had soup. I like that you get one or the other with an entree. My husband and I each had the homemade rigatoni for dinner. That is my absolute favorite pasta at Capri. Homemade deliciousness. The portion is generous, too. I think Capri always serves good food any time I visit. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Food taste and quality was excellent, Gloria was our server and she was phenomenal. Gina, the Front of House Manager, was also amazing and went out of her way to offer to take a picture of us in front of the pretty tree on the patio. The atmosphere at Capri is unbeatable... lively, romantic, and timeless all rolled into one. They really know how to make you feel like a million bucks! Below is what we ordered: Chicken Saltimbocca - delicious Skirt Steak Special - delicious Fried Calamari - Cooked to perfection (leftovers reheat nicely the next day in an air fryer for 2 minutes on 400 too 😉) Espresso and Cappuccino - super fresh and high quality flavor Chocolate lava cake - A+ Finally... Drum roll please for the pièce de résistance 🥁 COCONUT CHEESECAKE! (*It's only available on the weekends as a special*) - If you like coconut and dessert, this dessert will be THE BEST dessert you've ever tasted. Each bite is a masterclass in balance—comforting yet refined, hearty yet delicate. It’s easily one of the best renditions I’ve ever had, and a dish I would return for again and again. Beyond that, the menu offers a wide array of traditional Italian favorites, each prepared with genuine authenticity and attention to detail. The pastas are fresh, the sauces bold and flavorful, and the portions generous enough to satisfy while still leaving room for their irresistible desserts. Service is polished but personable—staff take the time to recommend favorites, top off glasses, and make you feel like family. The Burr Ridge location itself is beautifully appointed, making it equally suited for a romantic night out, a celebratory dinner, or simply indulging in a weeknight craving for exceptional Italian cuisine. Final word: Capri delivers on every level, but the Eggplant Parmigiana alone is worth the trip. A must-visit if you’re anywhere near Burr Ridge.

Lunch and holiday crowd was very loud by our table. We just stopped for a sandwich and gift cards. We were lax in not having a reservation apparently. They kindly let us in if we promised to be gone in two hours. Our panini sandwiches were wonderful and steak fries were good. Staff and bus boys were quick. Christmas party crowd urged on by holiday music created a loud party atmosphere. Capri is an authentic Italian spot for good food and lots of it.

We had an outstanding experience dining here. The food was phenomenal, the service attentive, and the modern atmosphere created the perfect setting. We were celebrating our anniversary and, despite a mix-up with our reservation, the team was gracious and accommodating. After a short wait at the bar, we were seated at an incredible table, which made the evening even more special. Everything from start to finish exceeded expectations, and we left very happy. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this restaurant.

Always my favorite. As a daily diner,this place just doesn't miss. The food is Always on point, service is old school Italian. Prompt, but not pushy. The place was decorated to 10plus for Christmas. I've been coming back for 15 years and it has never changed.

Great service. Hands down. Alton and Mario served us and both of them have worked at this restaurant for 20 years. That tells you everything you need to know about how you'll be treated at this restaurant - like family. The reviews about the calamari being amazing are true. Get it. The vodka sauce rigatoni and the 'forget about it' chicken were what we ordered and we were blown away. Great food great service. We'll be back.

First time trying the restaurant for a family's birthday dinner. For a Friday night it was extremely busy but thankfully we had a reservation and were sat quickly. Service was great and attentive, drinks were good and definitely pack a punch. Food came out in a timely matter, steaming hot which is always great! Ambiance is dim lighting dinner but not a quiet place, I would also say watch where you sit. I would've gave it 5 stars but being our table was next to the server station and the kitchen I continued to get bumped into throughout my dinner which was not pleasant. Wish tables weren't so close to one another to give people more room to walk rather the small aisle. Would visit again but would ask to sit along the booth.

As always we opted to sit at the bar, where the service was attentive and the energy laid-back yet sophisticated. Our drink of choice? A slightly dirty martini with Belvedere vodka--smooth, chilled to perfection, and an ideal start to the evening. For an appetizer, I went with the calamari drizzled in olive oil and pepper. Kiss my teeth, it was heavenly--lightly crispy, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with flavor. This time we decided to order entrées to go. We chose the eggplant lasagna and chicken Vesuvio, both of which traveled well. Once home, I warmed them up and was greeted by rich, authentic flavors that reminded me why Capri is such a gem. The eggplant lasagna was layered with perfection, and the chicken Vesuvio was tender and aromatic with those classic Italian herbs. Capri also boasts a lounge next door for those looking to continue the evening. Be prepared, though--this isn't a spot for the young and trendy crowd. Amazing food and fantastic service every time! I've been coming to Capri and Gazi regularly, and it never disappoints. From their Coach Q to their Pork chop oreganato. Always fresh and flavorful, and their wine selections are the best! Aquinas Cab or a glass of The Walking Fool. The staff are always super friendly and attentive, making every visit a great experience. Whether you're stopping in for a quick meal or celebrating a special occasion, this place hits the mark 100%. Highly recommend to anyone who loves quality Italian food. 5 stars all the way!

This will be my last visit here. The food is good. However you are crammed in like a sardine, they keep raising their prices. We went on a Monday night and service was unusually slow for this place. Typically they rush you in and out but this past Monday it too forever to order, to get salads, etc. The tables are so close together that if you're on the "inside" everyone has to get up for you to get out since you're right up against the table next to you. Food is good, but it's not worth the price and the place is way too loud since they cram it past capacity.

My husband and I had an amazing dinner at Capri Ristorante during our recent (and first) trip to the Chicago area. This was a must-stop destination during our trip for my husband and it did not disappoint. We came in on a Friday night and they were super busy. We were helped promptly by one of the hostesses and seated within a few minutes. A highlight for my husband was actually being greeted by Gigi during our short wait for a table and having him check in on us a few times during dinner. He was very welcoming and personable. Once we sat down, everything during our meal was exceptional: service, food, and ambiance. Our server was friendly, attentive, and efficient with requests. The meal was the best we had on our trip and consisted of: - Calamari Capri - Grilled Octopus - Lobster Diavolo - Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp and Scallop - Cannoli - Key Lime Pie The taste and quality of the food was phenomenal. The Calamari Capri was one of the best calamari dishes we've had...ever. The pasta was fresh and generous with protein portions. We left with full tummies, smiles, and a ton of leftovers, but it was all worth it. We would highly recommend Capri Ristorante without any hesitation and plan to visit again if and when we find ourselves back in the Chicago area again.

Capri always hits! We love coming here for family birthdays or after a visit to nearby Kohler spa. Service is so friendly and attentive. The food is always good, some favorites are the bruschetta, meatballs, bankers chicken, and pasta Alla mama. Good wine list and friendly bar service.

Time for an update. Capri continues to be the standard I use to compare Italian restaurants. My suggestion ~ make a reservation. We finished our early dinner by 4:45 (on a Saturday ) and the place was packed, including the bar area, with people waiting. Everything is extremely organized so there is no lag in service. Food is served hot, consistently delicious and you will not leave hungry. They have enclosed the front, outdoor eating section and put heaters out there. Wouldn't be my choice in winter, but all the tables were filled.

Capri is a lively Italian Restaurant in a strip mall, but large enough to make you think it's standing alone and on its own. Let's start with the location. When you go, you can valet or park. Because of the strip mall situation, you may have to walk to find a spot, it's all good. I suggest you reserve when you come in. I've been in a couple times and they never had the tables ready on my reservation time. It seems that I'm always waiting for some time. If you're the first one in the party, they also won't seat you, unless you tell them. Food is fantastic. I have gone where I ordered a bunch of appetizers and mains to split, and I've ordered meals. Both options are great options because there is a such a selection! These portions aren't small. They're a great size for you to eat and share. Their mussels are beautifully cooked and pastas are always made perfectly. When I ordered my chicken parmesan, they gave me a chefs selection of pasta. My selection was rigatoni, which felt a bit weird because I was expecting a long pasta. Just be sure you chose what you want if you care. The pasta was still delicious and I got over the shape really quick! :) If you order any appetizer, get the baked clams. The lobster ravioli is also an A+ dish! They have a full bar, and you can get any drink you would like. I prefer their wines. You can also finish off your meal with a selection of desserts. Their tiramisu is light and very tasty. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the liveliness of the place, the service was fantastic, and the quality of food. For a special occasion restaurant, this is very reasonable in pricing, the quality is top notch.

Your price increase is insane! $14 increase on "forget about it" chicken! Other locations will now have our business. NO increase as of this past weekend

Food was excellent; service was good, but far from exceptional; but their seating area is simply too crowded...I felt like I was part of the group next to me as the tables were much too close to provide a comfortable dining atmosphere. The noise level was very high and my BF and I who were celebrating our anniversary could barely hear each other yet could hear the party at the next table clearly. It could be a lovely restaurant if they didn't stack the tables on top of each other. We were disappointed and will not return.

This is the place for you if you like: 1. Really good Italian food 2. Inattentive service, except for the person pouring water...he was great! 3. Sitting on top of the table next to you and getting bumped repeatedly by people walking to / servicing tables. One lady couldn't get by without putting her hands on every chair and on our table on her way out. 4. Paying $30+ dollars for pasta dishes. They do make some of their own pasta and the food is excellent but I've never seen every pasta dish this high ever. 5. Not being able to hear what is being said at your table because the restaurant is so loud. 6. Paying a 4.5% credit card fee. Excluding tax, our credit card fee was about 4.5%. I understand restaurants have to pay the credit card companies for every transaction, but this is clearly a money maker for the restaurant. This is on top of the crazy high menu prices. The food is great but I don't think I'll be coming back.

My wife and I both love this place perhaps the only improvement is time to expand the dining area a little bit

this restaurant is not just a restaurant. It is the perfect representation of Italy. nothing you order here could go wrong, but I especially love the ravioli and vodka pasta. along with this, they also have a delicious chocolate cake tots with vanilla ice cream. if you are anywhere near this area for any reason you have to go to this restaurant or you will regret it for the rest of your life. capri i love you!

Based on recommendations from new friends, we tried Capri last weekend. Reservations are a must as this place is always busy. We got there a bit before our 5:30 reservation and it was packed. The inside of the restaurant is really pretty with all the decorative lights around and I like the touch of the individual light on each table - just know that you can press it to get it brighter! No cocktail menu but a wide variety of different wines. With each entree comes complimentary salad/soup, but we also opted for the grilled calamari to start. Lovely large calamari's in a balsamic dressing with salad. I loved how grilled they were. I would recommend this dish. For entrees - we got the veal pepperonta and Denis Savard (chicken parm with spicy sauce). We enjoyed both dishes. I love veal and loved the selection of options on the menu. My husband brought the spaghetti home and actually thought it was better the next day. Would we be back - yes - once we run out of new restaurants to try in the area!

I went to Capri with a few friends for a night out in suburbs and it did not disappoint. I wish I snapped a few pictures of the scenery because it was lively! Looked like an upscale Italian restaurant that was shifted to be more fun than fancy. The restaurant was playing some music that would get you pumped for the rest of the night! Don't get it twisted though, Capri still had a fancy feel to it. The food was incredible. We started off with Fried Calamari and the Bruschetta , both would highly recommend. Little flavor explosions in each. For the main, we split the Rigatoni Vodka and the Scampi di Cosenza. The vodka sauce was incredible and the rigatoni were thick and cooked to perfection. The in the shrimp in the scampi were juicy, meaty, and had some pops of flavor. But I would personally order another noodle than the linguini it came with. BIG portions! The servers treated us like family and didn't rush us out. Overall, really great experience here. Definitely will make it out again for a special occasion.

Absolutely delightful restaurant that we found on recommendation of a bartender. Atmosphere is romantic, although a bit dark for reading the menu. The service was wonderful. The waitress was knowledgeable and very helpful in sorting out the vast menu. Much of the food was Italian, of course but the variety and the way it was prepared was great. I had the best calamari I have ever had! And I've had calamari all over the world! I also recommend the lemon cello flute for dessert! Good wine selection also. We totally enjoyed the experience.

I have always been to capri during the day. It was hard to read the menu the rooms were so dark had to use my iPhone light. The food was terrific and the four of us really enjoyed our meal.

Ambiance is good, food is meh. We waited 45 minutes for a 7:30 reservation. Ribeye special was a fatty cut with A1 smothered all over it. Drinks are way overpriced. I paid $23 for an old fashioned with ice chips (not single large ice cube) and not even a luxardo cherry. If you're going to spend Chicago prices, go downtown.

I highly recommend that you review the menu before attending. The prices on this place are borderline criminal.

Love this place. Love the food, service, atmosphere etc. Came here recently on a date. We had mussels and a nice bottle of wine. Both were fantastic. Was later on in the evening on a Thursday night and already had ate dinner. Was pretty busy for a Thursday but we were lucky to get a high top by the bar. I really liked the ambiance and lighting. I follow their Instagram page so had been wanting to come here for awhile. And wasn't disappointed. Need to come next time though earlier for an atual full on meal.

Stopped by after house shopping in the area. The realtor referred us to Capri, a charming eatery that captures the true essence of Italian dining. The warm and inviting ambiance, coupled with the aroma immediately sets the tone for an authentic experience. We enjoyed the classic spaghetti Bolognese and a made to order Pasta Primavera - both great. The attentive staff and cozy setting make it a perfect spot for a romantic evening or a gathering with friends.

The menu prices listed are woefully out of date. We have eaten at Capri twice within the lastyear. Disappointed in the food and service both times. 2 stars from me.

I took some time because I was still savoring my meal which started with baked clams, followed by oysters rockerfeller, salad and our main entree, rigatoni with a creamy tomato sausage sauce and topped with fresh mozarella cheese, linguini with white clam sauce. And for dessert creme bruelle cheesecake so delicious.The atmosphere is very nice dim lighting very romantic and lovely setting for a couples night. Yet food is amazing that I would love to share with family. Oh my pomegranate spritzer was the perfect drink to accompany my meal so light and refreshing. Yelp asked what went well.....EVERYTHING! Capri is always numbero uno! Nothing on the menu is bad, the atmosphere, the staff, the vibe from a-z perfect. Never ever have a complaint!

Love the food here! All the servers we have had were great: friendly, efficient and helpful. Main dining area is small but the "patio" is more spacious.

This place is excellent! It lived up to the hype and then some. I had the "fish of the sea" over pasta and switched to the Diablo sauce. Excellent! The giambada app, bruschetta, along with this other app that had mushrooms in it. Really good! I was very impressed.

What an absolute hot mess of a restaurant. The place was packed and so loud we couldn't even talk! The food was average and our martini's weren't cold. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I won't be back anytime soon if ever!

Made reservations on open table for 5pm on a Saturday evening and upon arrival we were greeted and sat right away. The were extremely busy but had a lot of staff to cover the crowds. I specifically came here because I wanted to try their calamari. They have 3 different kinds but we tried the one fried and then served with olive oil, lemon juice and chili flakes. Whew those chilly flakes will get ya, but it was so good. Chicken parm was good. Large portions. The rigatoni noodles were undercooked so I didn't care for those much. They weren't soft and still had a crunch to them. My mom really enjoyed her veal parm. She said she used to eat veal as a kid and it's not something you see commonly on a menu anymore. Her noodles were way better so I just ate some of those. The ice cream was my favorite part of the night. Very flavorful and refreshing. I don't think the special lemon dessert was priced fair at $11 but it was so delicious I'd buckle and order it again. Overall we really enjoyed our dining experience. Things that can use improvement are.. 1. Water stations. They put uncovered water vases on the window sills but it caused the servers to constantly walk past my chair (often bumping into me) as he walked back and forth to grab the vase. The couple seated after us also had a mild cough and it bothered me that the vases weren't covered. 2. The credit card fee. It was only $5 for us but still. It's 2022 at a well established and clearly profitable business. Why are we punishing customers for using a credit card for payment? Not many people carry cash, especially not enough to cover a $100+ bill.

Went for my birthday prime time 7pm they honored my reservation. We had fish appetizer the best fresh fish you can ask for as for in Midwest . Then I went veal parm and in Chicagoland you can get a variety I would say the best in my tenure and I'm 45 year olds next to Sabatino on iriving rip GIGI CAPRI HAVE THE BVEAL PARM GAME TIED UP :) @Gigi Capri have the best staff and the best restaurant and lounge on the south side . Very nice staff. Nice atmosphere. Luckily the Godfather movie had just started on the bar TV when we arrived. Had stuffed artichoke, pasta e fagioli, and meatball, all bland with a processed garlic after taste (I'm Italian, therfore, picky). Chicken cutlet breading was super dry and no flavor, did not taste authentic. Husband had papardelle bolognese, which he enjoyed, but a bit dry. They might water down their spirits bc I've never had such a headache from a martini during dinner as I had here. ​Seems like a good weekend spot for dancing and socializing though. Had to go to the bar space next door because the restaurant was packed, although they assured us the kitchen was the same, vibes were totally different, one is traditional Italian and the other more a night club vibe.

Great Great food! Calamari Ala Capri was the best. Everyone in our party was more than pleased with their meal. Only con is that it's a little loud.

Amazing food! A great place to fine dine with authentic Italian cuisine. Also their catering is great, with a large selection of entrees . Not the ordinary catering hum drum food. Very impressive filet with mushrooms, salads chicken Franciase, etc, I can't remember all by name, but I do remember it all looked so good did not know which to choose. Even after I can say it was very tasty! Would definitely cater also. The staff very attentive

I use to come here frequently until an incident that happened 4 years ago with Gigi the owner. I made reservations in October for Christmas Eve. The person that took my reservation was Gigi. When we arrived on time for our reservation, the hostess said there wasn't a reservation. I insisted there should be. I told her Gigi took it over the phone a couple of months previously. She ended up going to the kitchen to get Gigi to speak with me. A few minutes passed and he ends up storming out of the kitchen, clearly very upset, and approaches me. Gigi should have recognized me since he's seen me in his establishment plenty of times before. I didn't even get a hello from him. I proceeded to explain that he took my reservation and now there isn't one. He proceeded to argue with me telling me that it wasn't him and that I made a mistake. He insisted I must have made a reservation elsewhere. Long story short, he looked at his watch and, clearly still upset, agreed we can have a table but told us to hurry because it was a busy night. After dinner we were eating dessert and Gigi kept walking past our table looking at us. Clearly he wanted us to leave. We didn't. To retaliate, he ended up having the busboys and wait staff continue to walk by us and kick our chairs until we had enough. I've never experienced anything like this. I use to love Capri. The ambience and food were always great. Gigi ruined it for me. I won't be back. My family members I was with on Christmas Eve said that will never patronize Capri again.

Terrible service. My family and I won't be back. Even though I made a reservation and specifically told them I didn't want a high table, they still tried to sit us at a high table. They finally gave us a table right by the kitchen and it was so unpleasant sitting there. There was such a commotion with the staff going in and out of the kitchen, yelling at each other and at one point, someone splashed water on the top of my head! The worst part was waiting a whole hour for our main entree. When I complained to the manager she apologized and said our waitress was so busy taking care of a table with 20 people! What lousy reason was that?? They tried to make us feel better by giving us a few free, bad tasting cookies. The food alone is not worth going back. Lousy experience!

Very nice dimly lit restaurant. Friendly service. Food was delicious. Rigatoni was home made with real unique texture. Definitely not dried pasta.

Met up with friends Saturday night for dinner. Food is good, mostly old-school Italian American style. The menu could use updating to offer lighter options. Hubby asked for a steak salad (it's on the lunch menu) and was suggested he order veal(?) I'm not sure why he couldn't get the steak salad when they have all the components on hand. We ended up splitting eggplant parmeaean, which was excellent. Service was top-notch. The restaurant was packed and unfortunately had a 2-hour limit on the table and was asked to go to the bar to continue the evening.

BEAUTIFUL restaurant. Dimmed light, very romantic but yet sophisticated , the owner Gigi did an incredible job with this place. Date night, business meeting, girl night, you call it! Gina, the manager, is the most unaccommodating and unprofessional restaurant manager I've ever met in the business. I made a reservation for my parents 50th anniversary in Feb'24 for April. No problem! Called to confirm. "Reservation was canceled" Never canceled on my end. Didn't provide solutions. Basically saying "too bad" Eventually went there with a space. She goes to my father during his celebration and says everyone needs to leave by a certain time. We had a large party frivolously spending for the night. Gina single-handedly ruin my folks 50th.

First time at this Capri, it's the best of all of them, I know they're owned by different family members. Ambiance is out of the park, server was excellent & the food was incredible. Constant service of water refills, taking away dishes, so many things that lack at other restaurants.

They don't wear masks here. God bless them. If you want your life to be controlled by sniveling politicians then stay home. If you want great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere then come here. I am unsure if this Capri is related to the Palos Capri. I've heard conflicting claims. Eat here. It's great.

Although we had reservations, we still waited 30 minutes for our table which was annoying with that many people squeezed in the bar area to wait. When we were finally seated, the ceiling was dripping water as it was raining that night. Again annoying. That asked if we wanted to wait for other tables to become available but at that point everyone was very hungry and patience wore thin. But I want to give Elton (our waiter) a great review! In spite of everything, he alone made our dinner worth it. He was so pleasant, accommodating, patient, and very knowledgeable with the menu. In spite of the way things started out, I can honestly say the food was delicious everyone was pleased with their dinner. For that reason and because of Elton (he is an asset to this business) we would return. Best Italian food I've had in a long time.

Excellent service, good vibe and tasty food. Our server was very tentative, kept checking on us, and replaced utensils and refilled water quickly. Generous size dishes. The grilled seafood platter is an appetizer but it's big enough for the main course. We had a fantastic dinner here and I will absolutely recommend it for the service and the food!
