Capriccio

When I think of my childhood I think about the original Capriccio’s with the orange booths, then their second location as a teen. Decades later from their original spot, I came to their current location. Right away you get that same nostalgic Capriccio’s Italian food smell with that same small town feel. We shared a Caesar salad and we all had pasta dishes, and as always, delicious! Service was excellent, friendly and attentive. Came here on a weeknight around 6pm, no wait. Cannot wait to come back for more when I’m in town again!

Where do I start? I absolutely love this place! My family and I were in town for a week and discovered this family owned gem. The original owner, Sabina, greeted us with a smile and welcomed us like family. The food was absolutely fantastic! We visited the location multiple times during our stay and enjoyed ourselves every time. The fresh baked pizza and cookies were amazing, among the many other treasures on the menu! Special shout out to our server Kenan! He was great at his job. We can't wait to return to our new favorite place in Croton!

I don't know if they changed chef, but lately I didn't like the pizza I ordered, these days it has arrived with burnt crusts and some parts of the pizza too, I always give it the opportunity but lately they have disappointed me and previously they have been the best but not now, I hope they can improve that, it is not possible that they send burnt pizzas

Incredible food! Tried them for the first time two weeks ago and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about their pepperoni pie… it was the only thing I wanted for dinner tonight. Tried a few new things and all was delicious. Also, the best chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had! They do get very busy so keep that in mind, but the staff is great and attentive. Highly, highly recommend.

My family and I love ordering from this restaurant! And the pizza! They make amazingly tasty pizza! (I'm partial to their pepperoni and BBQ chicken slices and their garlic knots.) They have a big menu and all of the food they make is second-to-none. If you're in the Croton-on-Hudson and are looking for great food? Look no further than Capricco's.

Been here plenty with family, friends, or dates. Like the food, pretty much always order something different and it's always good. Stands out amoung other local spots for non pizza Italian dishes. Pizza is about on par with others nearby. Good servings, bit expensive, but not crazy.

Very nice and clean modern pizza and restaurant. Good selections of drinks. Pizza is very good. We also have linguine with clams, very flavorful not too salty. Margarita pizza sauce just right, kids approved. Calamari and broccoli rabe is good choices too as appetizer and a side.

Took the family of four (two young kids) for Italian night, and it was a total win. The pizza was crispy, cheesy perfection, and the pasta dishes were rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Portions were generous--plenty for everyone, with a little left to take home. Service was quick, friendly, and super efficient--our food arrived fast, and the staff was great with the kids. No long waits, no fuss. A relaxed, delicious meal that kept everyone happy. Highly recommend for families! We'll be back.

We were meeting my daughter and son-in-law for dinner before heading to the Great Jack 'O Lantern Blaze. Hubby and I arrived on time but because our guests were coming from Queens, they got stuck in heavy traffic. However, we were welcomed in and told they were happy to seat us. They brought us our drinks and mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. We decided to order for everyone as my daughter said they were about 20 minutes away. The food arrived just as they did! My burger was delicious! Hubby had the sausage and pepper wedge and raved about it! My daughter ordered the baked ravioli with a side of meatballs. She loved them! I wish I wasn't so full from my appetizer and burger because the meatballs are definitely house made! Son in law also enjoyed his burger as well. The prices are very amazing! Two burgers and fries, baked ravioli, side of meatballs, sausage and pepper wedge, mozzarella sticks, cheesy garlic bread pizza, iced tea, 2 soft drinks and 2 beers was only $138!! The staff is amazing- very friendly and accommodating!! The restaurant is bright, very clean with comfortable seating!! Thank you all for a very enjoyable meal!!

I visited Capriccio with a group of 6 people total on a Sunday at around 6pm. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is clean and has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a decently-sized parking lot. The pizza at the front looked delicious when we walked in! I ordered the mushroom tagliatelle. It is made with fresh pasta and several different types of mushrooms. The portion was huge, which was nice! Unfortunately, the pasta was pretty bland. I was really excited about it because of the fresh noodles and all the mushrooms, but the lack of flavor was sad. Everyone else in my party said their food was great, so maybe it was just my dish! The waitstaff was very polite and helpful. The pizza smelled absolutely incredible, so I wouldn't mind returning to try it!

Had enough nonsense from the could care less owners of Pronto which I supported for many years and told them I was no longer going to give them any more business and was going to Capriccio. Well, first order and bingo I tasted a shrimp parm pizza that had the freshest shrimp done perfectly! Delivery was fast and easy! What a difference! I found my new pizza home! Thank you Capriccio!

New to the area, we went out on New Year's Eve, just for a pizza and some drinks. This was the first time we tried Capriccio. The restaurant was extremely crowded with patrons waiting for take out orders, but we were seated immediately. The waitress was extremely prompt, courteous and brought our drinks quickly. The pizza came out in about 10 minutes, surprisingly due to the amount of New Year's Eve take out patrons waiting. The overall experience was great. The pizza was delicious too. Ordered from Capriccio's twice during our stay for Thanksgiving weekend. Garlic, cheese, and pepperoni pizzas are delicious. Quick service from ordering via phone call to pick up. Staff is efficient and accurate. Outside is kept clean. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. When asking about allergens contamination, they were very understanding and conscious of cross contamination concerns.

I spent an afternoon at Capriccio, the food was very authentic. For an Italian restaurant it very much exceeded my expectations. The place itself is very decorated and very spacious. The service was great and swift, I really enjoyed and appreciated the service that Leyla provided me and my cousins with. She went above and beyond!

We order here a few times a week, usually for take out but occasional to sit down. We always have a good experience. Our favorites are the chicken bacon ranch pizza, eggplant parm, turkey BLT, and mozzarella sticks. Recently I learned they have chocolate chip cookies, and they are the best cookies. Perfect balance of salty and sweet, perfect amount of chips to cookie ratio, perfect texture. I know it's a pizza spot, but get the cookies. Trust me.

We stopped here before the blaze. A very cute family run place. The inside is very cozy and bright, great ambiance. Our service was also very good. Our food was tasty (particularly the Greek style salad). The garlic knots were a little disappointing and could use more garlic and flavor. Would definitely come back!

I've been coming here since they opened and have 'simply' dined (salad and a pie) as well as ordered many dinner specialties, all good (great!)! Everything always looks as if it were attentively prepared even if you just order a side of meatballs! Pizza toppings are overpriced, but everything else is fair and equitable, good size portions and usually enough to take home. Never had bad service despite a lot of kids working here! I always look for Owen who treats us very well (thanks Owen!)! Getting a table inside can be a problem, especially when the outside area is closed. A lot of too cool for school kids and urban hipsters but that aside, again great thin crust (boutique) pizza 'if' I can call it that, and a very good Italian 'restaurant' -- not just your typical 'slice' in a bag place.

We came here for dinner after a day at nearby Croton Gorge park and this restaurant was so cute! From the ambiance and decor to the food, everything was really solid. We were so full from a day of eating so only ordered two entrees, a diavolo pizza and seafood linguine. The pizza was amazing even though it was slightly sweet for my taste with the hot honey and the seafood linguine was delicious as well. Had enough leftovers to take a few slices of pizza home too, would definitely revisit if we're in the area and try some other entrees and apps. The staff was also pretty young, assuming a lot of summer jobs for kids in the neighborhood... service was decent, the only thing I would say is it did take awhile for our water glasses to be refilled once it was empty. Other than that, would highly recommend this cute little gem!

There's a lot to like here! Great customer service, perfect wheelchair accessibility (including bathroom), and a nice outdoor patio. The pizza is ok, I'm used to NYC pizza though :)

Do yourself a favor and get their BBQ chicken pizza. I started getting that over 20 years ago and it was an instant favorite. Their chicken parm pizza is a close second and their white slice and Sicilian tie for third. Another must try is their penne vodka. It's the best around. Get a few garlic knots to soak up the extra sauce and you'll be very happy!

They delivered way sooner than they expected it to be. The pizza was delicious. It wasn't too crunchy, wasn't too soft. Great salad too

I had to chance to try this place prior to going to the Great Jack-O Lantern Blaze. I got the spaghetti and meat balls and had the garlic pizza as an app. I had plenty of food to take home for a second meal. Spaghetti was a little salty, but overall good. Garlic pizza bread was amazing with lots of cheese on it. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant is pretty straight forward in terms of decor. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and tables are spaced well. Check it out if you are in the area.

The pizza is pretty good. There's as good or better around, but this place is very reliable and easy and end up eating here pretty often. Delivery is fast and never had an issue. They have a nice bustling space to eat in or out on the patio when it's nice.

This was a complete accident for the place is very warm and friendly. I love the aesthetic and cleanliness. All the pizza was delicious. We try a little bit of everything and so are all the pastas.

We were lucky. In addition to the great food and atmosphere, we got Dina as our server. We think that if Dina had no voice, she would still be a wonderful waitress. We can see that she is loved by customers. We saw another customer come in and immediately say, "hi, Dina!!" She has a million dollar smile and she is so nice!!!

I've been going to this place at least once whenever I am back in town visiting g. I have loved the chicken parm sub for thirty plus years. Pizza is great. Casual sit down place. Affordable. Friendly staff.

They are incapable of delivering on time. I schedule ahead whether on Halloween when I scheduled two days in advance or whether I schedule and hour and a half ahead tonight. They consistently miss the delivery time by at least a half hour. Such poor management. So simple to schedule when they have the order, yet each time they say "well it got busy" no sh!+ That's why I order in advance. And as expected the pizzas arrived soggy and luke warm

We went to Capriccio's for dinner tonight with our daughter who is home from college and had wanted good Italian food. The steamed clams, fried calamari, pasta fagioli and ravioli were all delicious. Most impressive of all was the friendly and attentive service. We didn't even have to ask, and were offered fresh bread. At one point, we had three different servers taking care of us. We knew the original owner, Mike, and he would have been proud of how we were taken cared of tonight.

Great pizza and pasta dishes, especially the broccoli rabe and sausage cavatelli. Pork sandwich with broccoli rabe is another fave, and also love the garlic knots and the side order bread which is basically the pizza dough baked into warm, fluffy triangles. Staff always friendly and among the few places that can actually handle being busy while keeping diners happy!

Awesome place near Croton on Harmon park, right off the parkway. Inviting space and excellent options. Pizzas are well made and generously sized. Had the Spicy Mediterranean which was very unique and delicious. The garlic pizza bread app is huge and filling (you've been warned haha!).

Ordered and 1.3 hours later the food never came, we asked to talk to the manager twice and the manager never came. We asked for the outdoor heater to be turned on twice and it never got turned on. I understand that it gets busy during dinner time but for actions that are not affected by food such as talking to the manager or asking for the outside heater to be turned on is unacceptable. Unfortunately our time got wasted and we got two free slices of pizza to compensate. Never talked to the manager, would advise to just order pizza if you don't want to wait long. I've never had to walk away from a restaurant so do hope it improves.

Capriccio in Croton on Hudson is always a success story, whether it be picking up a fantastic pizza or salad or dining in with fabulous entre's (also also available for pick-up or delivery) Both their standards and specials use wonderful fresh incredible ingredients and are beautifully served. Their staff is pleasant and polite and service is always timely. These are the reasons I return to Capriccio so much when I am in Croton-on-Hudson!

Def a top 5 pizza in the world and I would know I've had them all. Nice staff and awesome restaurant too

The food is delicious and the service is always outstanding!!! Love everything in there ! We eat the pasta, the salads and we live their bread so much that we bring extras home for our breakfast... we really enjoy it !

While passing through town decided to stop in this small-town pizzeria. This place has a pizzeria in the front (already made pies for slices) and their order/pick-up area. There is a nicely decorated full restaurant in the back, with plenty of space for groups. The staff was friendly, service was quick and the spacious sitting area was clean. They also have outside tables as well. I got a slice of their sausage with broccoli as I waited for a buffalo chicken pie for takeout. Both were great, made with fresh ingredients and tasty. Looking forward to going back to try something else from their menu.

I'm going to be the one guy who doesn't absolutely rave about this place. Townies all love it and some say it's the best pizza in the area. It's not. It's definitely top three, but doesn't come close to another pizzeria in Montrose I won't name. The truffle mushroom signature pie was beautifully made with high-quality ingredients, I just didn't enjoy the flavor profile. Chalk that up to personal taste. The classic cheese pie is above average/better than most, but won't cause you to drop a jaw. I'm a total meatball snob raised on meatballs lovingly crafted by a Sicilian grandma in slow Sunday gravy and wasn't overly impressed- their tomato sauce is average pizzeria stuff, the meatballs are tender, but not flavorful. Bottom line, I really enjoyed the classic pie and wouldn't hesitate to return if I couldn't secure my favorite pizza. Capriccio shines in this dismally average Westchester pizza scene. But it isn't five stars. Let's rein that in a bit...

Happened on this restaurant and could not have been more pleased. My husband and I each ordered personal pizzas. They were both delicious. The crust was perfect on both. He had the salad one and I had eggplant and ricotta. Both were truly outstanding. The restaurant itself was warm and welcoming. Great decor. It was super clean. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend!

What an upgrade! Have to say, while their prices are still on the pricier side the food now lives up to it. Sooooo delicious. Had the wings (very good, not quite up to par with another local establishment but still very good), Brooklyn Sicilians, pepperoni rolls-thank goodness not everything has changed. There would be some sort of uprising in my home if they had changed the pepperoni rolls.....and the mushroom Tagliatelle. Wow oh wow. It kicked ass. Will definitely be going back. Hoping to try the bucatini/clams.

OMG the pizza some of the best pizza I ever had and the mozzarella also really good with a nice cheese pull and the stuff super nice and I can tell that the love there job and the inside was really clean and the drinks and food come out really quick I go ever teusday

This review is based solely on the rudeness of the person at the cash register between 2 and 3pm, Saturday, December 17. He needs to learn some manners. Say THANK YOU when dealing with a paying customer. Don't act like you really do not want to be bothered and couldn't care less about any kind of polite service. I have no complaints about the food but I wouldn't rave about it. The chicken with penne pasta is ok, chicken portion is generous, sauce is ok. Eye contact and a thank you go a long way, especially a thank you. This was my first time at Capriccio's and it will be the last. There are other places in this area where I can get 'just ok' Italian food. Next time I'll take my business to one of them.

Had a great family dinner here. The garlic pizza bread was fantastic. The baked ziti was delicious and was a huge portion. I'd definitely recommend this place for a nice pizza/Italian meal.

Great vibes and service. Outdoor patio area super nice when it's warm. A lot of menu options and very spacious inside. Good for large groups. The risotto balls sucked though. Buffalo chicken and hot honey pepperoni pizza were average.

Stopped here literally for a pepperoni roll on the go. Well worth the stop! These are simple and plain looking but crispy and delicious!

Food is always excellent. Love their selections of pizza. Nice menu and always delicious. Sit outside if the weather permits, if not they have comfortable seating indoors too.

I like Italian food a lot. There are some really great Italian restaurants in the area. This is a great place just to stop in and get some pizza. I have had some of their other dishes and I think it's not bad, but it's not the best I've had. It is definitely a place I could sit and have a great beer and a pizza. The outside looks fancy, but the inside is fairly simple. Stop in here and get a pizza.
