Came here on a Sunday late lunch (~1pm) and there was a wait for big parties (6 people). There were more booths that fit 4 or less and there were a handful of bigger tables.
Waited about 20 minutes or so, which is not too bad. However, the service was slow. It looks like there were only two workers running around, cleaning up, taking orders, serving food and etc. Our tables were empty for a while but it took them a bit of time to be able to clean up and set us up. Once seated, it also took them a while to come back to us for our order. The waiter didn't even acknowledge us or anything, just stood there waiting for our order. We noticed that the same waiter also checked on other people but throughout our meal, they barely checked on us.
Food wise--
We got the 4lb deal with 2lb shrimps, clams, and mussels. We get three free sides, so we got the garlic noodles, fries, and sausages. Each bag comes with potato and corn already. We got this bag with the Capt Loui sauce and medium spice level.
We got another 2lb bag with all shrimp, Capt Loui and extra hot spice level.
We all thought that everything was rather on the sweeter side. The garlic noodles had a sweet ending taste, as well as the fries. It's like they added a coating of sugar or something similar. The sauces for Capt Loui also tasted sweeter than normal cajun flavoring. The spice level between the medium and the extra hot were almost on par, except that the extra hot had more oil compared to the medium. There was also a bitter after taste for the extra hot.
Overall, I'm not sure if it was an off day for them, since they have great reviews otherwise, but we were not a fan. Each person may have a different taste preference, but 5/6 of us thought the flavoring of the food was sweet and preferred a saltier flavor.
