"Why we love it: A boutique-style stay in the heart of Aqaba with a great restaurant and knowledgeable staff The Highlights: - A superb seafood restaurant on-site - Cozy, carefully decorated rooms - Friendly staff who can help you navigate the surrounding area The Review: One of Aqaba’s most charming hotels, Captain’s began as a celebrated seafood restaurant (which still exists at the front of the house), then evolved into something a bit more ambitious. Today, the clutch of rooms and suites in dark wood and marble are cozy and finished with a nice eye for detail. Though small in size, the hotel is well run, and the management is a font of local knowledge, helping guests arrange tours to Wadi Rum and beyond. If you’d rather stay in, there’s a small pool, a gym, and a sauna for relaxing after a long day on the road. Be sure to also grab dinner at the on-site Captain’s Restaurant, where you can indulge in local seafood along with Asian and traditional Jordanian fare."

Not Worth the Price, Not a good time. On first site, the room was dirty, the fridge was grimy, the floor had broken chips, (under the bed). The Air Conditioner wouldn't even work, and it was boiling inside the room. I called reception four times they only came twice. The first guy smacked it and said it'd work, the second guy walked in and told us to wait for it to work. Both did absolutely nothing. The reception was extremely lazy even not answering most of the time. The bathroom was honestly a travesty, NO LOCK? the shower head was swinging. The pool was enjoyable, and decently big. Overall do not come here, it's 100% not worth the time or money and you should just go somewhere else. Nothing you need over here.

We stayed at this 3-star hotel in downtown Aqaba, very close to the public beach, on November 30. Since it wasn’t a busy time, the hotel allowed us an early check-in, which was a nice start. We stayed for one night. The staff was very friendly, and the room was clean, tidy, and had a partial sea view. We were supposed to have a breakfast buffet, but since there were no other guests at the time, the hotel prepared breakfast just for us. There were plenty of options, and everything was good ,no complaints at all. For the price we paid, it was a very good experience overall , clean, well-located, and welcoming.

Great views of the Red Sea. Easy to walk to sites around the area. Breakfast and suppers were excellent. Easy access the beach. Very clean. Staff was great and very accommodating. We didn’t use the nail or foot spa or the car rental but they are on site.

On Eid al adha the first of April 2025, the hotel was crowded and very expensive. They were making maintenance, but it was not comfortable. Also, some floors were not finished renewal, and they did not deserve the height price. For 5 days, the breakfast was the same every day. (2* breakfast) I hope they consider the price and make a maintenance for the old rooms.

The hotel is very well located, the rooms are clean, very well equipped and comfy.||It's a bit noizy at night if you are one of the guys who like to sleep while windows are open (like myself), but you can't expect a hotel to be quite if it's located in a busy street (full of nice resturants and coffee shops).||In general, it's good value for money.||I recommend it for those travellers not interested in water activities.||Note: they have a very nice resturant that offers great seafood dishes.

Mr. Ala’a and Miss Dua’a from the reception disk were amazing! Very gentle, helpful. Dua’a even upgraded my room after I outlined a leakage in the restroom, and after my family came they even showed a professional handling and while it was an Eid period, Mr. Ala’a even helped to service during the breakfast.

From my experience, it is a bad hotel and is not worth visiting at all. The treatment there is inappropriate.
