I see why there was hardly anybody in there on a Friday night at dinner time. I always wanted to try this place. I'm glad I did, but I wish I didn't. For what they charge for this food, it should be way better than it was. The shrimp platter was flat out under seasoned. It just didn't have any flavor. The gumbo was OK, but not very good compared to others I've had. It was better than the shrimp platter. 30 bucks for a shrimp platter. Should be way better than this. I can pick up too many other places that I can go to besides here and get better quality tasting food for cheaper. I know this place is related to Blue Water Seafood. I've never had bad food at those locations and the food is cheaper there. This is a one and done for me. I'll stick with Blue Water.

I had such a wonderful experience dining here! The food was absolutely delicious. What really made the night special, though, was Esme. She was attentive without being overbearing, incredibly friendly, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we sat down. She gave great recommendations, checked in at the perfect times, and her warm personality truly elevated the whole experience. Service like hers makes all the difference. I've been eyeing this restaurant for a while now. I work close by and they always have a crowd. Sometimes the crowd parks over at Ruby's BBQ to walk over. First of all, I would like to thank you for leaving "My Name is Not Important's" review up. They obviously don't know what they're talking about. The food has great seasoning, spice, and taste. And if you need to save money and still eat great here, order the Lunch Specials. They don't skip on anything because it's a lunch Special. I ordered the Burger and fries & the 1/2 poboy and gumbo (I was starving and I wasn't sure when will be the next time I'll have this opportunity 😅 ). The burger was massive and you get to customize it. Onion rings had that crisp and taste that your looking for. Crawfish poboy had a good flavor to it and the gumbo had a great taste too. I definitely will be back, just not sure when. But you guys are making Captain Brad proud, keep it up!!

Annelisa is always wonderful!! Her service is spot on, she’s so sweet and my kiddos and I love her! Thank you for always making us feel at home! Food here is fresh, delicious and keeps us coming back! Love the crawfish, shrimp, captain’s burger and ribeye. My kids have had the po’boys, pizza and fried crawfish tails and they loved those also. Their specialty drinks, micheladas, margaritas and happy hour items are some of my favorites as well. They have flights too!

Extensive menu with a lot of great options. I ordered the Texas Redfish with crawfish sauce. Subbed green beans in for the rice. The whole dish was delicious! I had a Ranch Water for my drink and it was very good. The Brussels sprouts appetizer with lump crab was amazing. Our server was attentive. I cannot think of a single thing that could be improved on.

Came into our favorite restaurant for lunch today! Food and service is always great! If you come into the bar, be sure and ask for Hayden! If you dine on the restaurant side, be sure and ask for Alecea! They're both fantastic!

I tried this place today and it was so good and fresh tasting! One of the best crab legs I’ve had. It was super spicy just how I like it. Shonh was also very pleasant. She’s so funny, she makes it such a great vibe to be there. Me and my fiends will be back! MUST TRY!!

Wanted to really like it 2nd visit since it opened now, I remember why we haven’t been back I didn’t take any more pictures because I believe the shrimp stuffed avocado was enough the calamari was very dry frozen tasting bloody Mary’s come and shot glasses and taste like ketchup

First time visit and on Father's Day! We (my group) wanted to try for a while now but every time we wanted to it was spur of the moment and always slam busy. So we showed up today at 11 when they opened thinking we would get in early thinking they would be slam busy like normal but Father's Day is not as busy as Mother's Day! Place has plenty of parking, games and seats outside if you have to wait. Plenty of tables inside and TVs on the walls. Moderate noise level and conversation was easy to hear at our table. Service was good and multiple workers checked in us and clear plates not busy our server. Great team work and we never went without drink refills. We had a dozen raw oysters and they were great. Also gumbo and corn crab bisque and étouffée and tacos. Sweet and unsweet tea. Everything was great, the gumbo was excellent, the bisque was just OK (I only ordered a cup to try as I never had before but it tasted like cream corn with some crab meat added.) my étouffée was excellent and I was so glad they had dark roux (I prefer true Acadiana food) anyone who has had Cajun food knows that Lafayette/Acadiana is different then Cajun food in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Highly recommend this place, prices are fair and portions are good size. I will be back again for sure.

Service here was never any good. We've had multiple servers in the past already and none have been memorable. The food is okay. We usually get crawfish and just the margarita flights. We've never tried much of anything else. It's a nice place to chill though. They have swings outside and comfy booths and if you bring your kids here some games out there too.

Goodness, the service excellent, but the food horrible, so oily, my plate was full of cooking oil , too buttery. The salad had rotten tomatoes. No for me , will not be coming back.

The best Friday spot there is! Macbeth and Annelisa is the way to go! They make sure you get taken care of.

Our waitress was amazing & sweet. She brightened our night. The oysters are the star of the show. I think next time, I'll focus on oysters and skip the entree all together. The entrees I have tried so far (three visits now) are ok but, not outstanding. That said, I haven't tried anything fried and have stuck to various fish with sauces. This is a restaurant with lively atmosphere. The food prices didn't seem exceptionally compelling although the price of beer was, per my boyfriend, a good deal. (Two draft ultras for $13). The parking lot is always full to overflow so be prepared to circle or walk from another nearby lot. The crowd & wait seems somewhat perplexing given the food but, I think part of the draw is lively atmosphere & drinks. For me, it's not quite my vibe. Because of the oysters and fact that my boyfriend likes fish, I'll probably go back again. But if looking for a night out with girlfriend, this wouldn't be on my list for that.

We went there for dinner this evening. We had the grilled Brussels Sprouts and Crab Stuffed Jalapeño's as appetizers, then the Crawfish Etouffee and Fried Crawfish Combo, Fried Shrimp Dinner. All good and good service.

Always a solid spot. My go to when my friends from other parts of town come visit Northside. MacBeth has always been my recommended server and I have never have heard a complaint from my parties I sent here. Thanks again for being awesome.

Overall was an amazing experience, the food was really tasty, I love the atmosphere and the ambience, made me feel like I was in my home state of Florida. Absolutely best food, staff is amazing, Annelisa is by far my favorite server, very courteous, attentive makes sure whoever is with our party that everyone is taken care of. Goes over and beyond to provide excellent service.

Our favorite spot! I've been coming to Captain Brad's for a while now, and every visit is made better thanks to Macbeth. She's not just a great waitress -- she's genuinely kind, attentive, and always on top of things. Came for good seafood & Drinks, started with blackened shrimp avocado my server monica recommended! It was delicious; Then i had to take her suggestion for the Tx Redfish. Man these dishes were great, service was great. Will be coming back! Thanks Monica!

Honestly, we used to love this place but our past two visits we feel the place has gone down hill. Today I ordered the grilled shrimp wrap. It came out and half the wrap had 4 of the smallest shrimp I have ever seen- like those tiny canned cocktail shrimp. I sent it back and said I thought they would have been regular size. When trying to decide on what to get instead the waitress said she told her GM and they even said the shrimp were too small and shouldn't have been used. She assured me that if I ordered it again it would be regular size shrimp, so I asked for a remake. Nope. This was like they had the largest of the canned shrimp available, still not comparable to the ones on the burger my daughter had. I left most of the wrap on my plate because after eating the shrimp in one bit, the wrap was 95% lettuce. Overall not impressed. Paid full for the meal, GM never came out, just expected more, sad that quality has dropped so far.

Kayla from Captain Brad's reached our to me after my first review and offered to make sure I had a better experience if I came back. My return visit was a 180 degree improvement. Food was delicious, Kayla and Monica were very hospitable, friendly, and engaging. Thanks for your hospitality, ladies.

If you come here for other than crawfish, the food is pretty good; crawfish was either frozen or old, because it wasn't good at all. The red snapper is a most, clam chowder was one of the best ever. The service was amazing and so was the ambiance. Good family place

Lunchtime visit was great.. good menu options, service and the catfish was thick, cooked perfectly and just right! Portions are exactly what we should have. . Our waitress was very attentive and made us feel right at home... Worth a lunchtime visit for sure!

My family has been passing by this place for a long time!! We were so excited to try it. We are a family of 7 and every meal we ordered a side from the 2 kids meals were HORRIBLE!!! No seasoning, soggy catfish and the boudain balls were all rice and the size of a ping pong ball. I had to use hot sauce, ketchup and tartar sauce just to get flavor. A tipsy mermaid as also ordered and it taste like fruit juice no alcohol what so ever! I WILL NOT BE RETURNING AND I WILL / WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!! The biggest waste of $130!!!

The food and service were absolutely amazing. My boyfriend and I came in and ordered the Shrimp Tacos and the Surf and Turf Burger. He said that the burger was by far the best burger he's ever had and it doesn't even come close. I used some of the queso blanco that came with his burger and added it to my tacos bc they seemed to be missing just a little something and let me tell you - SO GOOD. We did also order a bottle of the house wine and the calamari to start. Was a little expensive, but was a great night

Food was hot and very fresh. Our server cared for our every need but was spread a little thin for his skillset. I don't how to say that any nicer. He tried hard but walked with little purpose, lol.

Captain Brads - officially our go to place for seafood, great drinks, and amazing vibes! My husband ALWAYS gets their seafood boil with their spicy garlic butter. It comes with corn, potatoes, crawfish, crab legs, snow crab and andouille sausage. It is mouth watering For me I am obsessed with their redfish! It comes loaded with a Cajun crawfish sauce on a bed of cheesy mash. Get their side of green beans and wow And finally - guys they have MARGARITA FLIGHTS!! Great amount of alcohol- they don't skimp on it! You can try so many different flavors from classic, the blueberry, watermelon and more! The atmosphere is so chill, staff is so nice and a great casual spot for some great seafood. Check them out!

I really enjoy Captain Brad's They have great drinks, good food, staff is super friendly & they have plenty of options for the kiddos. The wings are super crispy & have nice flavor, we love the fried deviled eggs, mozzarella planks, the pretzel is massive. Their gumbo is decent, I love the redfish, fried shrimp, and their boils. It can get pretty packed so we always call beforehand so we aren't waiting too long for a table.

If you are looking for authentic Cajun it's not gonna be here. The food was not bad I was just expecting something different. Also the waitress spent a lot of time sitting at a table with her friends. I had to yell out to get her attention. I have no problem yelling I prefer not to yell at dinner time.

Hands down one of the BEST dining experiences I've ever had! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming, and attentive The real star of the show though? The crawfish. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and cooked to absolute perfection--honestly, some of the best I've ever had. The rest of the food was just as impressive--every dish was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. And the owner, Britney? She's a total rockstar. Her passion and energy shine through in everything, and she truly makes the whole experience unforgettable. Can't wait to come back!

My sweet daughter went to this place to purchase me seafood, today. I'm currently living in a hotel due to Beryl. When I told her I wanted some baked fish, I did not specify where from. Captain Brads has the worst seafood I've ever had. I wrote them off my radar several years ago. The fish was as tasty as cardboard. It was tough, and rubbery. The fried green tomatoes were mush. The toast was mush! The only thing I was able to salvage on this plate were the vegetables. Thank goodness it was not a complete waste of time. Oh, the sauces? They taste like Mayo with a squirt of lemon. This place sucks!!!!

Super friendly staff. Our server was very attentive, friendly, and cordial. (Apologize I forgot his name). The surf and turf burger is just insane. You better have about 2 rolls of paper towels to eat it. Also when in season, fantastic crawfish.

CRAWFISH REVIEW!! This place has always been great, atmosphere is fun and the staff is also amazing. I finally had CRAWFISH here and I'm regretting not doing so sooner FOOD-Crawfish: I was recommended to get the spicy garlic mixed with the old bay and let me tell you it was a solid recommendation! The flavor was amazing, not dusted, and juicy juicy juicy. Running down my face juicy. The spice level was legit and I love hot food. I was literally crying tears and nose running the entire time haha. Worth every tear!! The bugs were super clean, we found one baby strand of grass and we actually looked for it because of how impressed we were with the cleanliness. 100% recommend and will be back.

Well for starters I have to give props to my waiter Joseph F he was simply amazing!!! He went over and beyond customer services guidelines!! As for the food, I ordered a variety of things. For starters had the fried deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes. Once they arrived they were well presented but lacked SOOOOO much flavor. The batter didn't have a taste on the tomatoes and the egg just tasted like potato salad, the shrimp over the top of the egg was a nice tough but it still didn't help the lack of flavor. Moving along to the entrees, the red fish was super bland as well it was topped with a crawfish bisque or something of that nature, you couldn't even taste the crawfish on it. The rice underneath the fish was ok, and the green beans were stiff they could've been steamed longer. Redfish holds flavor no matter how it's cooked but it lacked in that department. For desert I ordered the bread pudding, you can tell the pudding was very very VERYYYY old it was topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, but due to the stiffness and dryness of the desert I wasn't interested in eating anymore of it. I recommend a little more seasoning and efforts to be put into the dishes. Sprinkle with love and not a rushed effort and the food might be a hit. Not sure I would give them a second try or not.... I've recently had the worst experience here, it started with the waiter taking our order and shortly after we wanted to make a change and he stated " I'll see what I can do but the order is already in" as if we had no option to make a change and we would be forced to have and pay for something we've changed our minds from. He made the change but made the unnecessary comment towards the situation. Once our order came in another waiter brought only half of the order correct which was inconvenient since it's seafood and tends to get cold quickly. Once we received our whole order we ate and didn't get checked up on once, my husband finished his drink and attempted to get someone's attention for a refill and everyone kept walking by and didn't bothering checking up on us. The whole time we were there the waiter who took our order didn't come to our table at all, it was terrible. We had to go to the front to ask for our check since no one bothered checking up on our table for like 30 mins. This was ridiculous shortly after the waiter came by with our check and proceeded to apologise. It's understandable that sometimes it gets busy but even if you have larger tables or other tables you should time manage everyone or ask your team for help. This place was disappointing and the management needs to get it together.

Kale was our server and took great care of us. The shrimp and crawfish etoufee is my new go to. Companions enjoyed the grilled shrimp. Can't believe I forgot to take pictures... blaming the jet lag from the flight from Geneva.

Great ambiance (although very busy), felt comfortable. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Appetizers galore, but we decided to try the avocado with crab and crawfish pieces in a decadent sauce. ( can't remember the actual name). It was good. I ordered the Dungeness crab platter. It's plentiful. Will definitely come back!

I'm giving this restaurant 4 stars because I had a food allergy and sometimes they pay attention and sometimes they don't. I can always count on food customer service and amazing French fries! My favorite thing to have is their "dust" it's SO good! I come here often with friends and keep it safe by just ordering fries. I have had their scallops with spinach and that is amazing too. I really like when we have Andres as a waiter, he is patient, kind, and very personable. This is a casual place for good laughs. Next time I come, I'll check in and take some pictures!

Lunch was very good and the lunch prices were great! . Love the brussel sprouts and grilled shrimp!! Service was excellent. The cost of a simple drink, ranch warer with tequila waved over it was just stupidloved it but wont make that mistake again.

Beautiful interior design and nice staff. Food was out quickly and tasted yummy. The kids enjoyed their food as well. Lots of options check them out.
