We brought two guides and six marine biology students and stayed in a three-bath villa—wonderful accommodations with plenty of room, a usable (though slightly cramped) kitchen, and an amazing backyard that opens right onto the ocean and reefs. It made an ideal home base for a week of diving and learning. Housekeeping was consistently excellent, and it always felt great returning “home” to a freshly reset space after long days in the water.||Breakfast at Rum Runners was delicious each day. Dinner, however, showed clear short-staffing issues—servers sometimes disappeared or didn’t follow up on orders. The food and the setting were great, but the service challenges were noticeable.||The dive shop staff were very helpful with the students’ rental gear, swaps, and shore dive recommendations. The boat dive crews were especially terrific—friendly, upbeat, and clearly experienced. The boats were spacious with great tank setups, quick refills between dives, and fun soundtracks that kept the atmosphere lively. Fellow divers added to the positive vibe.||Captain Don’s was also accommodating with a late check-out, which we really appreciated.||After visiting in the summer and now the fall, I’m already looking forward to returning again in late winter or early spring. A wonderful place overall, with a few service hiccups, but still very much worth coming back to.
