We took a day trip to the west side from our home on the south side for lunch. At Costco you can get $100 dollar gift card for $80. Captain Jacks has a great location across the street and upstairs from the banyan tree. It was our first time visiting and we went for lunch. After looking at the menu we both decided on food from the lower portion of the menu. We didn’t know that was the dinner portion of the menu and not served for lunch. Not a big deal just worth noting if you are going for lunch dinner items are not available. We had the ceviche appetizer which was very good. We also had the fish and chips and the loco moco. The fish and chips were very good. I like that you can order a 2 or 3 piece and 2 was perfect to not feel over stuffed. The loco moco was good. The gravy was a little unusual. They also make a very good lava flow which can make for a perfect dessert. The home made hot sauce is excellent.

Best Loco Moco I've had, ever. It's the gravy here, it's great. Service was really efficient, a pretty no-nonsense approach but everything was really good. Fish and chips were great as well. We started with the shrimp and calamari appetizer. Shrimp was good but the calamari was exceptional. Tender and cooked perfectly. We're going back again before we leave.

Cool place overall, atmosphere was spectacular and service was fantastic. Went with some local friends, had a few drink and appetizers and was not rushed what so ever. All the food was great minus the Mac salad, was not one of my favorites at all. We had the ceviche, fried calamari, coconut shrimp and BBQ plate lunch which was well worth the money. Our server (cannot remember his name) was very patient and attentive to our needs and making us happy without being overbearing what so ever. The second story balcony was nice for people watching and just soaking in the atmosphere. Would recommend this place Fer sher 🤙🤙

Delicious food! Especially the chowder soup and the pork ribs! Also the dressing of the salad is nice too. ! It’s also clean the restaurant. As well I’m impressed with the decorations of them! We went there 3 times already while we are in Maui.

Great place for a meal. Came to Lahaina for shopping and saw the fun vibe here and decided to climb upstairs to try it out. We weren’t disappointed. Fish and chips were great, large Ono fish breaded just right. Also had fist tacos which were great. Only tough thing was the music. Heavy metal which isn’t all bad but maybe more at night. #captainiacks

We got a call saying our table was ready but we had to wait an additional 5 min to be seated.. Our server was nice but seemed to be a little dismissive and forgetful. I asked for salt and pepper for my chowder (for someone who grew up in Boston, this clam chowder was pretty good; nice and thick, creamy, but there was no "seafood" or "clammy" taste because the bacon overpowered those flavors) and it was half eaten and warm by the time I got the seasonings. My wife ordered BBQ wings (expensive appetizer at $16). They were fried wings. The sauce was good and the wings were crunchy on the outside, juicy in the middle. I do not recommend getting the house Mai tai for happy hour. It did not taste good at all. My wife liked her Maui mule though. We also got a side of onion rings. I expected more rings for the $6 price , and they were hit and miss on the crunchy/soggy scale. Overall, 4 stars is a perfect score for a quick lunch in downtown Lahaina.

We were looking for somewhere to eat and were stopped by one of their barkers. We were told the fish and chips were voted best on the island, and my husband says that even though he hasn't had any other fish and chips on Maui, that he isn't surprised by this news. He said they were very delicious and loved the cole slaw that came with it. I had the fajitas, which seemed to be a little under seasoned, but were good.

Good place to grab a snack. The wait was pretty long and the food a little pricey but the menu is pretty large with good options. I suggest going during happy hour (typical Hawaii) Good service and cool atmosphere. The Mai Tai was yum. Loved the coconut shrimp. We also got some sliders that were pretty tasty.
