An Italian-style restaurant tucked away in a lively alley. The prices here aren’t cheap, and the restaurant itself is quite small with three floors. They serve food along with a wide selection of wines and beers. This place is more suitable for foreign guests as the prices are on the higher side. The dishes are neatly and cleanly presented. It’s a nice spot for a relaxed evening with your partner or a small group of friends.

Overall, the dining experience was excellent. We started with garlic prawns and Wagyu beef skewers, both flavorful and perfectly cooked. For mains, we had pasta and lamb chops, each well-prepared and satisfying. The highlight of the evening was dessert: crispy fried dough dusted with cinnamon, served with ice cream, a 10 out of 10 for sure. One note of caution: steer clear of the house wine unless you enjoy drinking regret.

I had dinner with my friends and was impressed by the kind service—from recommending the perfect steak doneness to explaining different beers and offering us a sample. All the food we ordered was delicious. Among the menu items, the pistachio pasta seems to be a flavor you can only taste here. The price was 1,000,000 VND per person for three people, including three beers and five dishes each, so please keep that in mind On top of that, I was lucky enough to enjoy our meal outside with a cool breeze, which was quite romantic. It would be a great place for a date with a partner, not just with friends

One of the best meals I've had in Saigon. Everything we ordered was a hit and very memorable. The vibe was almost immaculate (adding some flowers, and a little more spotlight on the food would be 💯). Servers were wonderful. Will be back many times.

I was highly recommended the Torrija Caramelizada with Cinnamon Ice Cream and it did not disappoint. Easily one of the best things I’ve eaten on this trip. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes! 🩵

If I could rate this place higher than 5 stars, I would. This place is phenomenal and I almost wish I haven’t been yet so I can experience it again for the first time. Because this place is a bit pricier, my boyfriend and I have been saving it for a special occasion rather than having it in our regular date night rotation. We just celebrated our anniversary and messaged them on FB to make a reservation (note: you have to make a reservation to eat here since seating is very limited). They responded pretty quickly which is always a plus. The food so unbelievably well done and tastefully prepared/plated. We actually just came back from a five star resort that charged basically double the prices of Captain Phook and the food/portions were horrendous. Makes us really appreciate how flavorful Captain Phook’s food is. You are 100% getting your money’s worth here. We ordered the garlic prawns nibbles, beef tenderloin with chipotle sauce main, grilled broccolini & fries sides, the torrija caramelizada with cinnamon ice cream, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We also got two plates of bread with our dishes. I knew coming in I’d order that caramel dessert from the reviews I’ve read and holy smokes… that dessert was everything and more. We really enjoyed how cozy and intimate this place was. We’ll definitely be back.

Highly recommend this small restaurant hidden in a small alley. Dishes were tasty but small sized portion. Steak was great and good size. Pesto pasta was not typical basil sauce but pistachio, which didn't taste that good. The waiter did not explain this and actually said "green pasta" when she was referring to the pesto pasta dish. Good atmosphere and popular with locals.

I came here with a friend and we ordered 4 dishes in total. Overall the food was good but not amazing. Polenta was not as creamy and smooth as I wanted. Steak & Hashbrown with coffee sauce: Funny thing is the hashbrown from the steak dish is the polenta I was hoping for. It's not reminiscent of hashbrown but it was good. I don't really taste a lot of coffee in the sauce. Very good steak though. Lamb: Great cook on the lamb, great crust. No complaint Dessert: 10/10. I would come back just for this.
