"Or, if you prefer Connecticut-style (warm with butter, as opposed to the more common Maine-style, served cold with mayo and some combination of piquant greens and herbs), there is Captain Scott's Lobster Deck in New London, Connecticut."

This place is great! I’m a big fan of lobster shacks and always try to stop at one when I get the chance. We found this spot while searching for a quick lunch during a drive and it turned out to be lovely. It’s clean and charming with no birds around the tables. They also run a fish market next door which is promising. Most of what we tried was excellent. The New England chowder was rich and delicious, we ordered it in a bread bowl but I’d go for a regular bowl next time since the bread soaked up too much of the soup. Just a personal preference. The clam fritters were amazing: crispy, very flavorful and perfect on their own without any dipping sauce. But the highlight of the meal was the salad with lobster. You can choose it cold or warm. We went with cold and it was incredibly fresh and a true generous portion. Absolutely worth it. The only disappointment was the steamed mussels which were a bit overcooked and served with unsalted clarified butter (why?). I wouldn’t recommend them. All in all a fantastic stop. I would go again.

The bacon wrapped scallops are awesome! I don't know how they keep the bacon crispy and the scallops tender as well as they do, but that along with the flavor is unbeatable. Hot lobster roll is good, but whatever sauce you add is doing a lot of heavy lifting for flavor. Maybe it's just me, but what they call a large is still quite small, and for $30, isn't worth it. Shrimp cocktail is everything you'd Hope it would be. Very good.

Captain Scott’s is a must visit if you love seafood! We ordered the fried calamari and lobster roll, both were amazing. The calamari was super crispy and not greasy at all, and the lobster roll was packed with fresh, flavorful lobster. Also, shoutout to their tartar sauce… seriously next level! The staff is extremely kind and welcoming. It was unfortunately too windy to eat outside, but we ate in our car right in front of the marina and it was still an awesome experience. Can’t wait to come back!

Google
"Hot" Lobster Roll and Lobster Bisque review. If you are going to charge top dollar, make sure you are providing a quality product. The lobster roll was not hot as advertised. The extra butter I ordered was coagulated. Very disappointing. The soup was lukewarm at best. It's soup and it should be hot. The person taking our order obviously did not enjoy her job and projected negative energy. The front of the house should be welcoming and helpful. Not grumpy.

Down a very odd road that looks almost abandoned by the train tracks, then BAM. You are greeted with rows of cars and people bustling around this outdoor stand. It is truly a great culinary experience. The haddock poboy was on a toasted bun with remoulade sauce, red onion, lettuce, tomato. It was one of the best fried fish sandwiches I have had in recent memory. The street corn was off the wall good, they take their whole corn, slather it with a crema, some lime, and some Tajin. It's literally the best streey corn I have ever had. Cheers from NY, Captain Scott!!!

Google
Have eaten here many times. Fun shack. New England Chowder was very good but Rhode Island bland. Lobster roll was good. Not the best I’ve had but almost. I asked for more butter and it made a difference.

Google
This was my first time trying New England seafood, and I was blown away by how fresh everything tasted. I truly believe that your other senses can enhance your dining experience—and being able to smell the ocean made the food taste even more incredible. I can’t wait to come back and try everything on the menu!

We love Captain Scott's Lobster Dock! We've been traveling to New London for four years now. If they're in season (open), we always stop in! Lobster rolls, clans, oysters, onion rings, TO-DIE-FOR lobster bisque, etc.! So may items prepared in a variety of ways! They have great food at varying price points. Great food, beautifully located at the docks so GREAT views! Outdoor dining, only. They have sturdy picnic tables, bar height adirondak chairs and a pavillion to dine beneath. Dress however you like. In addition to the restaurant, they have a great little raw seafood counter and gift shop. The restrooms are always clean and there is ample parking. Did I mention the ice cream counter? Captain Scott's is an easy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ buuuut that's only because we can't rate them higher.

Yelp
Good food, lovely view. You order at the window and they will call your name through the loudspeaker when your food is ready. Huge chunks of lobster in the lobster roll, even the small size was filling enough for me. Bread was perfectly toasted. 5/5 for me! Fried oysters were fat and juicy, wasn't overly breaded, and you get a good mouthful with each bite. So satisfying, also 5/5 Tuna caprese salad with balsamic vinegar was a special and not on the regular menu. Quite refreshing, though tuna felt a little rubbery. 4/5 Fish sandwich was big and hearty, very filling and hits the spot. Husband rated it 4/5 Overall this was a great pick for lunch, would definitely return!

Yelp
One weekend, my husband and I decided to take a drive up north and going back home to Jersey, tried to find a place where we can eat authentic sea food. Searched IG what CT can offer and bam! Captain Scott's Lobster Dock! Ordering is straight up and simple...menu right there above the order window...they'll ask for your name...you pay cash or card...then wait for your name to be called. Condiments are provided as well as cutleries and napkins. They sell ice cream but it was mad cold the day we went so it's closed. They have bathrooms and ample parking and enough garbage cans around. Clean as you go. How does the food taste? GOOD! Very good! Their fish and chips are so tender and sweet--fresh to the taste that is...I ordered one piece and boy it was huge! Their lobster bisque was creamy and happy at the same time. Their large lobster roll was not that large though but it had good amount of lobster. Overall--one good place to drive to when in CT.

Yelp
Food was good and loved the setting and way of ordering. I'd recommend this place. We got the large hot lobster roll, clam fritters, fish & chips and the chocolate ice cream with chocolate soda. The fritters were a lot of bread so I personally wouldn't order again, my husband said they are like hush puppies. The lobster roll I expected to be bigger since I've had some overflowing on this trip, but I didn't ask how much to expect when ordering. Overall we'd return here given the chance.

Yelp
Located off the beaten path in a private marina, Scotts is the quintessential fish shack. Line was long but moved quick. Lots of seating-some even covered. Dog friendly!

Aleece P.

Yelp
One of the best lobster bisques with a good amount of large lobster pieces in it. Very big all outdoor seating area, with a large covered area Incase of rain or you want to stay out of the sun. We come here every summer.

Chelsea A.

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday afternoon with my partner on the way to Cape Cod. It's been a while since I've been here (4 years ago, pre-pandemic). We got a quart of New England clam chowder, and a hot lobster roll. We opted for a side of potato chips with the lobster roll and the soup comes with oyster crackers (typical of this area). We were surprised out food came out in less than 5 minutes. The clam chowder was filling but not the "best". The lobster roll was also chunky and filled with lots of lobster meat, but we wished that the temperature was just...hotter? It was very lukewarm. The brioche hot dog roll was honestly an amazing touch though -- sweet and a little doughy where the butter touched. I can't remember what the prices were like back then, but compared to other "lobster rolls" I've gotten in touristy areas outside of the NE area, $24.95 plus tax and tip is pretty great. $13.95 plus tax and tip for the quart of chowder. If looking for decent quality lobster rolls and soup along a waterside, this is your spot. Just don't expect the "best of the best" chowder. If you get lobster rolls super fresh, you'll be getting the best price and best tasting rolls around. If lukewarm lobster rolls, there will be something left to be desired.

David M.

Yelp
Got a couple of lobstah rolls here. Not bad. Not as good as in Massachusetts but still not bad. Nice outdoorsy spot on the marina. Plenty of table space and chairs, and they also have ice cream.

Yvette P.

Yelp
Meh. Was heading back to Pennsylvania from a random jaunt to Charlestown/Narragansett Rhode Island. Had been meaning to stop here for several years based on the input of others who have been here. It's off the beaten path a little. Plenty of parking. And extremely busy. They have the main restaurant, a seafood market, and a food truck all at the same location. The line was insanely long. It moved at an ok pace though. While waiting in line I had seen patrons not finishing things like clam strips, fish etc. I was hoping it wasn't because of quality and taste etc. I ordered a shrimp dinner (comes with fries), steamers, hot lobster roll (large) and two drinks. The shrimp tasted like it was fried in old oil. But they were large and had good texture. The fries were cold. The steamers seemed like they had been sitting out they were very dry. The lobster roll was cold in spots and didn't have butter you had to order that on the side. I ordered a little lobster bisque to put on top. The lobster was actually very flavorless. I had gotten lobster rolls at a place in Rhode Island right off the docks and they were so flavorful over there and didn't need anything to help it along. They also had way more lobster in them for around the same price in Rhode Island. All in all, can say we are here but wouldn't do it again. The view and seating areas were probably the best part for me.

D A.

Yelp
What is there to talk about? The line here is a mile long from when they open until closing time. Just the best in classic clam shack and seafood cuisine in an outdoor setting.

Tom C.

Yelp
Had an impromptu dinner with my bride and enjoyed the Captain's Platter. Loved the blackened Halibut and shrimp with fried oysters. The clam fritters were okay. Oysters were amazing. There was a problem with my wife's order in which they gave her fried oysters instead of the breaded shrimp she ordered. They graciously and quickly corrected the issue and were super nice about it. I highly recommend this place and its food. We ate well and enjoyed the ambiance of the wharf.

Ron R.

Yelp
After a long weekend of driving around Rhode Island and Massachusetts, driving around with my brother from the Philippines, it was time to back home to NY, but not without his obligatory tourist spots. One of them was suggested by his daughter, so we stopped by and obliged. What to get for someone who hasn't tried lobster rolls? Hot roll, cold roll, some clam fritters and New England clam chowder of course. Great place to be, great food. Definitely recommend and will come back.

Serene C.

Yelp
We were in town recently for a friend's wedding and this was one of the places we were recommended. Having previously lived on the East Coast, we always get seafood when we are back to visit. The lobster roll was tasty and had a good amount of lobster in it. The clam chowder was pretty delicious. The fried seafood platter was also very good. Overall we were glad we stopped by for lunch here and if we are back in the area, will certainly consider stopping by again!

Aura B.

Yelp
5 plus if you want fresh Lobster and Seafood. Right off the boat. I took my Mother here and she liked it, I liked it more because the price was fair for our dishes as compared to NYC. Last time I went to a Seafood restaurant in Queens, it made a huge dent in my pocket. Fresh food, outdoor seating, and a fair price make this one a must do if you are in the area. My only negative was that, I had 2 Wasps circleling around me and my dish, which made me scared and I had to get up and finish eating standing up while trying to run away from the Wasps that also kept trying to eat me and my food. I made it out with no Wasp bite. Will absolutely eat here again if I am around. Even if I drive by, I will get off the highway for this place. Tasty.

Vanessa W.

Yelp
Great environment and vibe! Service is amazing, the food is delicious and the views are fantastic.

Sapha H.

Yelp
The seafood here is really fresh and you can tell that it's good quality. Both lobster rolls were really good, we slightly preferred the hot one but both tasted great. The hot one already had butter on it, I wish it was on the side so the bread didn't get soggy. The clam strips and shrimp were crispy and didn't have too much breading. Fries tasted good, and so did the coleslaw. The line was long but it moves fast and food came out quickly after we ordered. The ambiance is nice; located right on the dock.

Joann ..

Yelp
Delicious fish tacos--could use a little creme to top it off, used tartar sauce. Excellent service. Casual and rustic seafood shack

Crystal G.

Yelp
Another amazing Yelp find! Was in town and had to find the best lobster roll. Very glad I stumbled upon Captain Scott's. Parking was easy and straight forward. Weather wasn't great, so I think I avoided the lines most people mentioned in reviews. You order at the window and are given a number for your food to be called. The gentleman who took my order was kind answering all my questions. I ordered the hot lobster roll with coleslaw. IT WAS AMAZING! I probably could've eaten two more. If I wasn't dining alone I would've also loved to try to bisque and everything else on the menu. I am looking forward to returning for more!

Allison K.

Yelp
Excellent lobster shack with all kinds of very fresh seafood, fried and grilled options, fast casual service. The lines can get long on busy evenings but it's totally worth it! They often have live music, their ice cream hut is great too. We bring tablecloths, flowers, wine etc to make it rustic/fancy! One of my favorite hot lobster rolls in CT! Ask for extra butter that's the key! Friendly staff and they will even text you when your food is ready! Pro tip have one person stand in line and another claim/set up the table while you wait.

Carla B.

Yelp
Delicious lobster rolls, great fish and chips! Fun to sit by the water in a relaxed environment. It's a walk up service, nothing fancy, but sure yummy! Ice cream for dessert was fantastic!

Li Y.

Yelp
There are lots of varying opinion on Captain Scott's. One thing everyone agrees, there are a heck a lot of choices of seafood! Some better than others, tho we enjoyed all. Happy to dine with a regular of the restaurant. Lu had some great recommendations. Of course I was a like a deer in headlights and ordered way more than we could handle. This is what we had: Lobster rolls hot and buttered - delicious yet could use more butter. Extra butter option for 50cents is available...get it! Bacon wrapped scallop - not what I expected. Not grilled or broiled but deep fried. Still good for what it is. 5 large and succulent pieces. Shrimp cocktail - large, firm, sweet, and ordered by the piece or a set of three. Recommend. Fisherman combo platter of large belly clams and succulent scallops. Fabulous and fried. Served with fries or cold slaw or for a slight upcharge of $1 onion rings. Clam fritters - a Lu favorite. Never tried. Tho in appearance, they are very large and golden crispy. As expected, too much with leftovers. Tho much better fresh; Nothing is wrong with leftovers!

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
Tl;dr Everything was fresh and tasty. Staff was nice. Reasonable prices. Bring a jacket if it's cold. We came at about 5:30 in March, still a good amount of people even tho there was a drizzle and it was chilly. Not too long of a wait tho. Bring a jacket if it's a colder day tho since you sit outside. We ordered fries, onion rings, two hot lobster rolls and two sodas. This is one of the few seafood spots that I've seen actually give a price for their lobster rolls so it's not a surprise when you order it. Everything was super reasonably priced. The food was great. The hot lobster rolls came with a container of hot butter wish we poured on top when we were ready to eat, it kept it from getting cold in the weather. There were lemon slices as well. Good chunks of lobster on a tasty roll. Exactly what we had hoped for. The onion rings were a nice surprise as they came out perfectly fried, without that stringy and gummy onion you sometimes get. The fries were also super yummy and we got 'em with a side of tartare sauce. The staff was super nice and friendly, didn't rush us, answered our questions and checked thoroughly regarding allergies which we really appreciated.

David B.

Yelp
Have been planning on getting here all summer and finally got around to it today. Now I feel like we missed out on a great experience. The vibe is casual ,take out shoreline spot. It's located in a marina right on the water. Nothing fancy but the view is great and so is the food. We split an oyster po boy, hot dog small fry, small onion rings and cole slaw. Due to it being late in the year, our wait was very short. Food came out hot and fresh. The dog was split and grilled in a nice, crisp toasted roll. The po boy in a good roll stuffed with fresh fried oysters, tomato, lettuce ,romolade sauce and topped with a pickle spear. Fries were shoestring variety and the rings were crisp and hot. The slaw was a suprise with a nice bit of vinegar kick. We will definitely be back

Alissa D.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite seafood spots in CT! They typically have a line, but you can walk up and place your order and there's plenty of reallly nice picnic tables to sit at. It's also BYOB so that's a plus! We have enjoyed all our meals -- my favorite is the fried shrimp and scallop platter. Their cocktail sauce is superb. We'll come back time and time again.

Pat C.

Yelp
No, I was expecting this exceptional and traditional experience. It wasn't even road side quality. The staff have the system perfected but the fish was average the fries soft and the steamers were sandy! I get the traditional ambiance, it works! You need to get back to your roots!

Rhonna C.

Yelp
Such a fun place to go! The Lobster Roll is my favorite! But there is so much more to choose from and don't forget the whoopie Pie! Great service and a fun atmosphere!

Meng Z.

Yelp
After hearing the hype about this place in New London, I've been looking forward to trying the lobster rolls here. I ordered a Hot lobster roll and it honestly taste pretty good and I like how big the lobster pieces are. I just wish I ate it while majority of it was still warm but was too busy taking pics of it! And the breeze by the water also escalate the roll to get cold quickly despite the fact that it's summer time! This restaurant is situated right by a boatyard and you get to overlook a body of water and a bunch of boats which is pretty relaxing. Once you get there, you just place an order at the front and then find any table you want to sit at. They will text you and also call your name over the microphone when your order is ready.

Ryan Y.

Yelp
On our way to Boston, we took a pit stop at Captain Scott's Lobster Dock because my bf had the lobster roll here when he was a child and remembered it being good. It was 11am on a weekday, so there was no line when we got there. We ordered a hot lobster roll, New England clam chowder, and the bacon wrapped scallops. They put the butter on the side of the Hot Lobster Roll ($24.95), so you can adjust how much you want to put on. We ended up using the whole container, but we mainly only tasted the lemon that we squeezed on top, and the natural lobster flavor. The bun was warm, but the lobster was room temperature. The order came with a side of cole slaw that we didn't finish. Overall, just okay. 3/5 The New England Clam Chowder ($5.75) was on the thinner side and could use more clams, but it tasted decent. 3/5 The Bacon Wrapped Scallops ($9.95) were delicious. Scallops were decent sized and juicy. Would recommend. 5/5 I think it's nice to be able to enjoy the seafood with the view of the harbor, but I definitely had better lobster rolls elsewhere.

Erin H.

Yelp
I have only ordered one item from this menu because it is so good, I can't go there and get anything else - the lobster grilled cheese sandwich. It is AMAZING. Huge chunks of lobster, gooey cheese, and perfectly toasty, buttery grilled bread. It's a must order. Order at the window, sit near the water, and enjoy!

Julie Ying X.

Yelp
I came here for lunch with a group of 4 people on a Saturday afternoon. It was a good pit stop on the way to Rhode Island. The place is on a dock and pretty casual with outdoor picnic tables. We ordered the whole belly clams seafood platter (fries, coleslaw) and the Rhode Island clam chowder. The clams were lightly battered and crispy. The fries were crispy. The coleslaw didn't taste fresh though but it's fine, I'm not a fan of coleslaw in general. The Rhode Island clam chowder was interesting since it's not creamy as New England clam chowder but it's something I would order again. I would definitely come back for their fried seafood. I always enjoy eating seafood on a dock!

LaVonda A.

Yelp
When in CT I have to stop and grab a lobster roll and much more as you can see . The family enjoyed their food as well. Service is good and not a long wait for the food! We enjoyed our food enjoying the breeze and view

George N.

Yelp
Great fresh seafood on the water. Wonderful casual atmosphere. Love this place, especially on a nice day.

Tina D.

Yelp
Great food, good prices, service with a smile and a nice relaxed ambiance. Can't ask for more! Definitely worth the drive!

SalvadorAble S.

Yelp
This place is the fried seafood place to be. It's along the water. Gorgeous view on a sunny day. The help are very friendly and make you feel like home. Clam chowder is a must and so is the calamari. Honestly everything is good. Be careful with the gulls. They read this review and come often.

Linda A.

Yelp
I came right at 11am when they open to avoid the lines. Yay, lobster for breakfast! The large lobster roll is so great and gives plenty of lobster meat for the price. I don't like many cole slaws, but this one is perfect. The chowder is not as thick as I'd like it, but every tasty. Clam cakes (or fritters, as they call them around these parts), were a little too overdone, also still very good. Overall, a perfect spot to get amazing seafood and eat by the water. Pricing is fair overall. Can't wait to come back!

Al A.

Yelp
Very pricey, but good lobster rolls and seafood. It is usually crowded on the weekends, so I try to go during the week.

Giancarlo M.

Yelp
Easy ordering process and plenty of seating (outdoor). We arrived on a chilly day in March but take away was straight forward. Food was good.

Robert M.

Yelp
Only found this place because of Yelp. Had a great relaxed vibe. Look at all the boats while you have a lobster roll or fried clams. New England clam chowder was just okay, but fried clam bellies and the hot buttered lobster roll were great.

Kara S.

Yelp
There's over 800 reviews for Captain Scott's so I'm not sure what I have to contribute is going to worth reading but here goes. Captain Scott's could be more expensive but it's not, and that's wonderful. I'm a "look at the menu before you get there" person and I honestly thought, "this must be an old menu" because you just don't see the highest price for a large lobster roll costing only $24.95. Even a cup of lobster bisque was under $8, so a steal if you ask me. I arrived with my wife and another couple on a beautiful Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm, expecting a long line. Fortunately we only had to wait about 20 minutes to order and about 10 more minutes for food. There's scads of tables both shaded and not for you to get your nosh on. You can BYOB too if that's your thing (nice). We went for the works and ordered 2 large hot lobster rolls, one cold lobster salad roll, a chicken sandwich for our landlubber friend, small onion rings, large fries, a bowl of lobster bisque and an order of steamers. Everything came out hot (or cold if ordered that way) and fresh. The hot lobster roll was not the very best I've had but it was definitely worth the price tag. In this case it was mostly tail, rather than claw meat but still quite good. I especially enjoyed the bisque and the steamers. If you're in the area and wanting some well priced seafood with a fairly vast menu (they also have ice cream), wind your way down that weird street of abandoned buildings to Captain Scott's. I think you'll like it.

Chuck B.

Yelp
Good lobster. I ate the lobster, not the roll. Very tasty. Place was busy and clean. Drive up was easy to find and the patrons were very friendly and helpful to visitors who were there.

Sandy D.

Yelp
Fresh calamari and lobster. It was a long wait but worth the time. Would definitely recommend.

Edwin Y.

Yelp
This place use to be one of the top places but it's sad that it's not how I remembered. The lobster quality isn't the same. It felt less meaty more diced. I am not sure if they are just adding filler meat but it's not what I remembered. The onion rings are great and still is but I don't want to drive here just to get them. Nothing is wrong with it but it's also nothing special

Delia M.

Yelp
Had lobster roll very good. Also great onion rings . Crispy not mushy. Ordered then waited til name called. Reasonable wait.

Michael V.

Yelp
Always a good place to grab some seafood. It was a beautiful day and the wait in line was. It bad at all.

Kari B.

Yelp
This place is a fun spot- don't let the long line deter you. We tried a hot and cold lobster roll- I found the hot lobster to be a little chewy however still good. Coleslaw was great, gobbled those up. We also ordered the scallop platter with fries- I'm not seeing any other reviews that would confirm this but we kinda tasted a bit of cinnamon or a similar spice in the tarter sauce? Sounds strange but it was quite tasty whatever it was. There's also an attached ice cream shoppe, ample parking, and they take cash and credit. Nothing like watching the boats come in and out while having lunch- great find! The fish and chips also looked amazing so we will def try that next time.

Eric Y.

Yelp
My family and I decided to come here for lunch during our vacation to CT. What we thought would be a quick and easy lunch turned out to be the wait of a lifetime. We came for lunch on a Saturday at about 2pm. We thought the line would move fast but it seemed to crawl that day. We didn't get to order until about 3:30. As we got closer to the front of the line, it seemed apparent what was going on. There was only one person taking orders for the entire shack. It seemed very inefficient, with the amount of staff members and their popularity they could have easily opened a second window to take in orders. Other than the long wait, Captain Scott is one of those typical dockside seafood shacks. The pricing seemed to be a bit high to me but other people in my party thought it was alright. My friend and I decided to split an order of fish and chips, clam strips and a clam chowder. All the fried food seemed to have a nice even layer of batter on it and was perfectly cooked. I also tried some of the fried oysters, they were good but I still prefer them raw. The clam chowder was extremely disappointing. Our order did not get any clams and had a watery consistency. It was alot more soup-like than chowder. I can't say I was very impressed by Captain Scott's Lobster Dock, the long wait just to order and the miss of clams in a clam chowder is just a bit hard to take. If they fix their logistics in the ordering process and in the kitchen, Captain Scott would be a great lunch spot but until then I would say skip.

Sheba W.

Yelp
Every time I go to this restaurant there is always a long line. So prepare yourself. The food here is great! When I go I order two lobster rolls, because one isn't enough. You have the option of ordering a small or large roll. When I ordered, I ordered a hot roll. It was very good. The service is standard. When you do come you're really going for the beautiful view of the docking area. I would go back again.

Sheeri C.

Yelp
Perfect spot to see boats, watch the amtrak trains, and have delicious seafood (or hot dogs, if you're my kids...)

Kelly H.

Yelp
My partner and I went to Ocean Beach yesterday with my family and decided we wanted seafood after our gorgeous beach day! Yelp stated this was the best seafood restaurant in the area and so we trusted it. I am so glad we did! We ordered the New England clam chowder, 1.5 pound lobster dinner, lobster rolls, calamari, and fish and chips. I ordered the lobster dinner for myself and it was DELICIOUS. It had TONS of lobster roe in it and for $38 it was a STEAL with current lobster prices. We all enjoyed our meals! You can tell how fresh the seafood is and the view was simply gorgeous. For everything we got, it was a great price. Our only low note was the fries. The batter was a bit much on it. There was a line, but the line went SO fast. Our food was ready quickly as well despite how much we ordered! We will be back and I highly recommend this place.

Thomas F.

Yelp
Another good meal at Captain Scott's Lobster Dock but just wish it wasn't so far away. The day was overcast and slightly chill and it was a Monday so no one would be here for lunch. NOT! The word is out that this is the place to eat regardless of the weather or time of day. The special was a Fried Oyster Po'Boy so that was my choice. The oysters were so succulent, the sandwich filling was fresh and the remoulade was just the right spicy. The roll was slightly toasted or a little stale but I certainly enjoyed it. The Onion Rings were super. My dining partner got a cold Lobster Roll and was very pleased with taste, freshness and amount of lobster meat. All in all, a great day out to enjoy the start of summer. I will return soon!

Yelp
Best lobsters rolls in Eastern CT! Actually all the seafood is great at Captain Scott's, but the large lobster roll is an exceptionally memorable dining experience!
