Captains Club Hotel & Spa

I originally booked a room with a double & single for my daughters birthday this weekend, & was totally surprised on arrival to be told we'd been upgraded to a 2 double bedroom + Ensuits, kitchen & huge lounge diner suite WOW!!. The accommodation was fabulous. We ordered Breakfast each day in our room & we had a couple of bar snacks. The food was excellent & the service excellent. All staff on reception where polite & extremely helpful. We had a couple of Spa treatments over our 2 day stay which we both enjoyed. Thankyou for making our mini break so enjoyable.

Just had a wonderful weekend at the hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and the overall experience was great. Our room was lovely and comfortable with good facilities and the view of The Stour was beautiful. Very nice bathroom although shower wasn't great and would have preferred a separate cubicle than over the bath. Otherwise the staff were friendly and efficient, food well presented and the whole ambience was relaxing. Great location and reserved parking both added to a really pleasant first visit.

We booked the 3 bed suite and it was wonderful. It was very clean and well looked after. The views from the apartment were amazing. There were 6 of us staying to celebrate a birthday and we had a great time. Breakfast was excellent and we will certainly be staying again. The location of the hotel is perfect and only a short stroll into town.

We went to Captains Club last weekend to celebrate my lovely friends 50th birthday. We stayed in the fabulous three bedroom suite. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely brilliant 👏 A huge big 'Thank you' to Mikey who is outstanding, he went above & beyond to ensure we had everything we needed & assisted in the surprises we had arranged for the birthday girl. Breakfast in our room, was delicious, very plentiful and the beds are super comfy. Our Saturday afternoon in the spa enjoying the pool & sauna was lovely & relaxing and Vanessa was very helpful. I was sad when the weekend celebrations came to an end & we had to leave. I would love to return & stay again & will recommend Captains Club to my friends. Thank you so much 😃

I can’t recommend The Captains Club enough. We recently held a company roadshow conference here, and from start to finish the experience was absolutely exceptional.||||Our presenters stayed the night before in the fabulous river-facing rooms, which set the tone perfectly — beautifully presented, relaxing, and with stunning views.||||The fantastic customer service began right from our initial enquiry and continued flawlessly throughout the entire event. On the day of our conference, the attention to detail from the whole team was outstanding. The food and service were second to none, and every aspect of the day ran smoothly thanks to their professionalism and genuine care.||||We host at least six local roadshows a year, and this hotel has outshone every venue to date. I genuinely can’t thank the team enough for making our day such a success.||||We’ll definitely be returning with more events — highly recommended!

This is undoubtedly my favourite hotel ever so it made sense to book it for my 60th Birthday celebrations. From the start to finish the crew looked after us and our guests. Special thanks to Abi who coordinated the event and patiently answered questions and emails. David, Juliet and Jane who helped check our guests as it was a bit complicated and Sam who attended to us on Saturday evening but all the crew who we encountered are fantastic from housekeeping to bar staff. We’ve visited several times since 2016 and although some faces change the recruitment process for crew members must be excellent as it is such a fabulous team. Our guests who had never visited before now know why we bloomin love this hotel and are completely enamoured. Thank you once again for making my celebration very special.

Spent a wonderful Saturday night away to celebrate my partners 60th birthday at The Captains Club. Booked a 2 bedroom suite with tv snug, for us & our 2 adult children & it was a lovely big space with beautiful views & exceeded all expectations, it was perfect. We spent the afternoon in the spa, had amazing massages & altogether great service, drinks in the spa pool & all the staff were helpful & polite. We didn’t eat dinner in the hotel but breakfast the following morning was very nice & I would highly recommend this hotel & certainly return. Thank you for making our weekend special.

We had our work Christmas Party here at the weekend and had THE best time. The staff could not do enough to help, they were courteous and efficient. The food was delicious and the rooms were spotless. Beautiful views, smooth check in and out. What a gem!
