Caputo Italian Pastry Shoppe

I have lived next to caputos my whole life and have purchased baked goods from here more times than I could count. The staff is always friendly but the product quality has gone way way down, the bread is good but anything else seems to always fall short, the jelly cookies have no jelly and what is there has no flavor (if you tasted this blind folded you wouldn’t be able to guess they had jelly in a million years) the cookies lack flavor and the texture seems to be getting lighter and drier to the point that it feels they are trying to use air as a filler. The last couple years I have gotten cookie and cake that taste stale or like the display case if that makes sense… I went today and got home to try the cookies, they have no flavor and no jelly it was seriously disappointing to the point that I decided I cannot justify spending (wasting) my money here. They have proved time and time again that the quality is not going to improve and no matter how much nostalgia tricked me into purchasing more times then I should have, it just isn’t worth the money.

I’m Canadian and I came here. They have onion rolls. Delicious onion rolls. They also have the softest fluffiest bread and pastries. Like cotton! Amazing little bakery. Don’t miss it.

Staff is always amazing. You cannot go wrong with any of the pastries there. Even if you’re not a local they definitely make you feel welcomed like you are.

Best Italian pastry shop in the area period, my favorite Italian pastry shoppe- better than most I've tried in NY too. Pastries and cakes etc. are very authentic and delicious. Some inferior "Italian" pastry shoppes in the area use cheap, cool-whip type fillings. Caputo's never skimps and uses quality ingredients. Caputo's pastries and other desserts are always fresh and delicious. Bakery is always impeccably clean and smells delicious when you walk in. Staff is always friendly and accommodating.

Stopped in for a snack. This is a nice Italian pastry shop. Coffee, cookies, pastries. Accessible. Plenty of parking.

My family and I shop at Caputo's at least twice a month. Definitely not helping my waistline. The service is fantastic, the pastries are wonderful and they have a great variety. The lobster tails are insanely good and still crispy after a day or 2 in the fridge. Our favorite is their key lime pie. We will absolutely keep going to Caputo's.

On a Monday I was delighted to find a wide variety of pastry that was perfect for a housewarming. Most bakeries in my area were closed and I was happy Caputo’s came through. My large box of delicious pastry was topped off with a ribbon!
