"Caracalla, the 43,000 square-foot modern bathhouse built on top of the city’s tourable Roman bath ruins, features thermal baths and saunas. Visitors can enjoy warm water under rock grottoes, an outdoor hot tub, and a forest sauna. The bathhouse is known for its relaxing atmosphere and health benefits."

Excellent place to relax. The pools are clean. The changing rooms and lockers make getting in and out quick. The outside pools are delightful. You pay for either 2 hours 3 hours or all day.

I liked Caracalla Spa but if I came back to Baden-Baden, it's Friedrichsbad I'd go to. Caracalla is more along the lines of a waterpark than a spa - it's got a big warm round pool with jets at all heights plus raised bubbling pools, there are two outdoor pools with more jets and waterfalls and hot tubs in the cooler one, there's a steam room, a pair of hot and cold plunge pools and a full-on cafe/restaurant and lots of sunloungers. Upstairs is the textile-free sauna area which somehow felt a bit uninspiring, but then I'm not a huge fan of sitting around feeling too hot - there are two outdoor saunas in log cabins which are really hot and you're going to want your pool shoes to run out to them, as well as a towel to sit on. Inside are some more conventional saunas, one of them with lights, scents and music. There's plenty to keep you busy in the clothed area - I spent somewhere around four hours mostly going backwards and forwards between the hot plunge pool and the outdoor pools with the occasional trip back to the main pool to enjoy the massage jets. Wouldn't make a trip to Baden-Baden deliberately to go to Caracalla Spa but if I was in the area, no doubt I'd find myself back here in the evening.

Convenient location, parking, changing rooms, and showers. We only took the aquatic part on the ground floor. The concept is good, but unfortunately the hammam provides almost no heat, and outside most of the pool is closed for renovations. Still a good impression though.

Super diassapointed~ I was looking forward for this trip to the spa but in my opinion was no more than mediocre… still it was ok to come and see so one star is enough but probably would not come back

I visited about 10 years ago and thought it was amazing, however this time it didn’t feel as impressive - although it’s still nice. There was a lot of construction going on in the sauna level, so I assume it will be very beautiful soon! The water is amazing, leaving skin so soft and body very relaxed! I’d still visit whenever I’m in the area! In their upper lobby they have an area to fill water vessels so that you can drink the spring water, I love this!

I’ve enjoyed a calm and relaxing experience here at Caracalla Spa. One of the must-visit spas in Baden-Baden, the spa town. In the morning, it’s not too crowded, and the vibe was refreshing and peaceful.

Details: 2 hours: 24 euros with sauna The sauna is WITHOUT swimwear Everything else WITH swimwear The waiting time was 30-45 mins to get in. Note that it was weekend They also have a swimsuit shop at the door before entering. Also there is one thermal water sink and 2 drinkable water sinks next to the waiting line. They give you a bracelet which you will use later to enter the sauna area, get food, use for solarium or if you stay extra minutes and you can even use it to lock and unlock your locker. then at the end you pay what u owe as difference using a machine that scans your bracelet. There is a big changing room area which is very confusing Then you arrive to the big pool Its cool because it is connected to the outside Outside there is 2 pool and there is also 3 jacuzzis which was very good The sauna is located up the stairs There is 2 solarium room 12mins is around 7 euros (one of the rooms was not working when we went) but note that there is multiple options you can also do 8 mins or 4mins or 16 mins each with different price There is a brines room Aroma room Super cold pool indoor Super nice jacuzzi indoor (big) Therapy pool indoor The pools outdoor (one was hot and one was cold) the cold one has like a small current. There is also a cafeteria which I didnt try There is also bathrooms in the pool area There is a changing room in the pool area It was busy, filled with people but we were able to find a chair to sit on (there were many empty ones) Bring your own towel, flip flops but you can also rent a towel there. The receptionist could be more kind to be honest and a bit more helpful I would say 3 hours is enough

Good experience. Loved the outdoor pools. The reception person could surely use a smile to make the place more ‘thermal’ (warm). There is a lot of things one can do. Recommend 3-4 hours minimum. Did not try the cafeteria but it is good. Parking can be validated. Being own towels to save money. And relax as much as u can. Most visitors were nice and fun.

Yelp
I had a horrible experience at this place. Beware! As I was leaving a gentleman from the US was being accused of taking something/not getting refunded for his towel because he did not have a receipt. Next it was my turn to check out... the woman at the check out desk aggressively kept saying I owed 3.50 for a lemon... and accusing my son of having a lemon??? We are wondering what a lemon is (apparently it's a drink) then accused me going to sauna... we never stepped foot in a spa and never had this so called lemon... it was a horrible experience and terrible way to end my experience in Germany! Just beware!! Horrible situation!!

Yelp
When in Rome, or in this case Germany, you have to experience the spa. It's affordable and relaxing. Pools filled with natural mineral water of varying temperatures, under lots of natural light from the dome. A sauna and massage unit in different rooms, there is a variety of areas to lounge. I didn't see any children, I believe 16 is the minimum age here. There are waterfalls and swimming areas outside and I hear this is open all year. The water is warm so even if the air is freezing, you will be comfortable and exhilarated by the variance. Upstairs is a clothing prohibited area for a few extra euros for those who are adventurous. I was. For an American this is for the very mature and open minded. I love to people watch and experience the culture from a non tourist perspective. This was not an American nudist beach where everybody is 60+. All ages from probably 16 up since I believe 16 is their technical adult age. But a wide range of people. There were outside areas that led to saunas, a hot tub and bar to grab a drink. Everything was charged to your waterproof bracelet (no where else to hold a wallet or purse, flip flops and towel only). Very relaxing and free. Loved it!

Yelp
I loved it here. It was the most relaxing and enjoyable experience of all of Germany. My body was exhausted and tight and soar from all of my travels. They have so many different jets and whirlpools to help you relax and to target each part of your body. It felt like an aqua massage. The restaurant was okay, nothing special, but the experience of the cold and warm plunge as well as the sauna and steam room and the indoor out door pools.... i never wanted to leave. Definitely recommend this for anyone.
