Caraluzzi's Danbury Market

Always a perfect shopping experience. Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Prepared food is top notch. Meats and produce are the freshest around. Store is always clean, well-organized, and pleasant to be in.

SO happy Caraluzzi's is finally in Danbury! This store is absolutely gorgeous. Great prices, great food. They frequently even have buy one get one free items. The employees are extremely nice and willing to help! It's such a nice change from stop and shop down the road where their employees will literally tell you they hate their job. The deli food is amazing.. hot food, pizza, sandwiches, cold cuts, cold salads you name it.. the bakery is beautiful with cakes that are designed by THEM!! The seafood is always fresh and fully stocked.. The managers are willing to speak to you without rushing..it's really a great place to shop.

Everyone is very helpful and nice. Their prices are also very good and maybe a little lower than other liquor stores in the area. They are also always doing tastings which my husband loves! Wish they had more buffalo trace in stock though!

1st time there last weekend.. Great market. Nice & clean. They have just about everything in there. If you dont see it, just ask. I couldnt find discos at other markets in the area, walked the whole frozen section and like a man decided to ask for help as a last resort and the young lady directed me to exactly where they were. I bought all that were on the shelf. Empanadas anyone? Lol..

Simply amazing! Extremely clean. Fresh fruits and meat! Great affordable prices! The Bakery is just way above any other in Danbury! This is my new grocery store! Loved it! By the way, the chicken is $.69 cents a pound! Incredible!

I will take this review down when I speak with Steve. I will leave a message for him to call me and then I will take this review down. This is not the first time this has happened. In the past, I’ve gotten the wrong soup, all fat in my corned beef, not everything put into my bag. Now today, two whole bags were left on the register with a girl with blue or purple hair or whatever you call it who has her mind perhaps on her boyfriend or her love leaves two of my bags behind on the register. She never even rang them up. I believe in mistakes. But when it’s mistake after mistake after mistake after mistake, it shows me that employees don’t have their head where it belongs. Steve needs to know this and bring all their employees together and tell them to shape up or ship out.

Love how convenient it is to go from grocery store to liquor store next door in their locations. Freshest produce around and the heat n serve food is fresh delicious and simple.

I'm Happy to see that Caraluzzi's is now carrying Borgatti's Ravioli. I would like for the management of the Supermarkets with the utmost responsibility to see and tend that Borgatti's Ravioli are displayed Properly in the Freezer section. Borgatti's Ravioli since 1935 has been Making a Quality Product for its customers and I expect Caraluzzi's to follow The Borgatti's way.

This is the second time I've ordered Thanksgiving catering at Caraluzzi, and it doesn't disappoint. Last year, I ordered the turkey, and this year the brisket, and it's worth it. They have really good stuffing too! I'll be ordering again.

I love their deli and sandwich section. Chicken salad varieties and seem very fresh. Soft serve ice cream is a fun treat. Service is a little slow at the ice cream counter. Young lady spent some time talking to her friend before an acknowledgment about g others in line. This store has what you need from a regular grocery store but with the addition of unique items. We love stopping here on roadtrips . Bathrooms easy to use. Very clean the first time. Dirtier bathroom the second time I've visited this store but may have caught it before cleaning time.

A grocery store but make it all the things we want: clean, organized and gourmet. Got to finally check out this awesome, newly opened, grocery store that did not disappoint. From their cafe section to beautiful flower arrangements, Caraluzzi has you covered. Their quality and variety of things while being so very well organized makes shopping here a breeze. Their bakery section also has a lot to say, from their pick up and go pre decorated cakes to fun and cute unicorn cake pops, they are well stocked and ready to cover your last minute dinner party.

I used Caraluzzis for the flowers and cake for my son's wedding and they were amazing. Jesenia in Floral made beautiful arrangements and bouquets and was a pleasure to work with. The bakery dept was also a pleasure and the mgr Isabel and the decorator Christian did an amazing job. Would HIGHLY recommend both depts!!

This is a beautiful new supermarket on the west side of Danbury. It just opened in the past couple of weeks and I'm impressed that ever employee I encountered seemed so upbeat and well-trained. Management did a great job of getting this place ready to open and there's a lot of people working there so I hope that lasts. The market is beautiful and laid out nicely. There's a little cafe right when you walk in so if you need a cup of coffee while doing your shopping, they have you covered. The deli area is what make me really like this place...the options for meats, cheeses, seafood, etc. is incredible. I love making short ribs in the winter time and I'll definitely come here to get them. There is also an amazing bakery with breads, cakes, cookies and more. If you want prepared food, there's plenty of that Prices are fairly reasonable too. Their roast chicken looked great! As of this writing, the self checkouts are not open but we didn't have to wait too long to check out and our line had a checker and a bagger. I can't tell you when I've seen that. This is a really nice place and I will probably do a lot of shopping here. I'm hoping my local Stop and Shop isn't impacted too negatively by that, because I like that place too but it's hard to beat a shiny new market!

I ordered 2 wedding cakes and flowers and was so happy with both! Jesenia in floral did an AMAZING job on the wedding flowers, and Isabel and her staff made delicious and beautiful cakes! I would highly recommend both!!!!!

Caraluzzi's is our favorite supermarket in the area. The store is always clean, staff is friendly and the location is well-stocked. Their selection of meats is plentiful. Next year I hope they will offer fresh Butterball turkeys, instead of just frozen. This year they only had fresh Bell and Evans, which, for a 22 lb. bird, had a hefty $113.00 price tag. Their bakery section is the best anywhere. Except for the turkey, prices are reasonable.

I am so amazed with this gourmet grocery store. I don't know where to start how to describe I just so amazed. Received they built this place and I was waiting patiently to go. Finally the day came and had a chance to go. The store was very well organized and everything was looking so good. There are so many selections for everyone. I walked around at entire place. They have a gigantic options for ready to eat meals. We got some mozzarella sticks and shrimp cocktail. Of course chocolate cream pie. If you are throwing a party, this is the place you should go without thinking what to cook or make. They have everything ready for you with daily fresh options. I was thinking it could be expensive but not at all comparing other grocery stores. Just make sure get your reward card! I am so grateful to have caraluzzi's at Danbury.

Nice grocery store, and I like that it has a liquor store attached. Aisles were clean and laid out well and they had good selection. I was hoping they would have more store made items but they did have a nice display of pre cooked foods. Cashiers were fast and friendly. Not a store I'd go out of my way for, but nice to stop in if nearby.

I love both locations from the beautiful ambiance to the food and very clean store. I love the bakery section not to mention always fresh fruits. Staff is around to help and guide you.

Like their meats. Usually the best prices for cold cuts although the roast beef is usually well done. Very clean. Best supermarket around

A huge shout out to Matt, the owner I live across the state and have been helping a family member and have seen how Matt and his employees go above and beyond In a time when it is difficult to find good customer service, it is refreshing to see that they know how to take care of their customers I only wish I live closer

My husband often gets his steak here. I been there with him a few times and we got stuffed pork and stuffed turkey. He often asks for a particular cut of steak at the butcher. Excellent service there. The food looks delectable. And the atmosphere is clean and wholesome.

The chicken noodle soup is delicious but there is hardly any chicken and few noodles. LOTs of onions and celery...Needs more chicken and noodles!

Clean, organized and friendly. Three major components for a successful supermarket. All the aisles we were stocked. During opening week in Danbury, the checkout area was especially were staffed. You have a cashier along with a designated bagger. Hope this will continue.

After several trips across town and multiple conversations with two bakery reps, my order for a decorated cake was very disappointing. I had given the rep a photo of the design I wanted well in advance and requested to have it copied as much as possible, which was their selling point when I placed the order. This was a shower cake with pastel pink and peach flowers on a white background, asking that the writing on the cake incorporate or enhance one of the colors, telling the rep that I trusted her judgement. My heart sank when I picked up the cake and saw DARK BROWN writing! The decorator had left for the day and I had no choice but to display the cake "as is" for that afternoon's very special occasion. DARK BROWN lettering on a pastel cake? REALLY? I suppose I should not have relied on their experience and/or judgement. I will not recommend Caraluzzi's bakery for cake decorating to family and friends. Unforgettable indeed.**

Just moving to Danbury five months ago I was so happy to find the supermarket had opened. It is excellent the workers are great but there is a downfall. They are totally misleading their customers when it comes to the hot dinner foods they take a $17 per pound meat they add all the heavy vegetables and they're still weighing it at $17 that is absolutely ridiculous. When I told the man behind the counter he said that's how his supervisor told him to do it. I said who would pay $17 for potatoes or string beans, and then they look at you like you are crazy. Anything going on that scale they're robbing people it's really a shame.

Does anyone know what is going on with Caralluzi's Danbury?? I have always gone to the Georgetown store and have always had a great experience there. The Danbury store is a whole different experience and not a good one. Twice I have gotten rotten fish, both the Skate and Sole. Three times I have been charged for items I didn't purchase to the tune of $20 each time. Now, I was trying to call to place an order for lobsters and the phone just rings and rings. Take my advice and go the extra distance to Georgetown where every employee is helpful and they answer the phone! Caraluzzis should really look into the management or lack of in Danbury.

Best grocer I've ever shopped. It is clean, employees are friendly and knowledgeable, and the selection is very good.

The prices are unbeatable, the food is fresh and absolutely delicious and I have yet to eat anything that wasn't fresh or tasty. Their store made food (pastas, etc) are amazing. I drive about 20 minutes from where I live in New York multiple times per week to shop here exclusively.
