Caramba!

This is my favorite Mexican and Latin food restaurant in the Haight-Ashbury! I think it's a hidden gem! They have excellent breakfast options, including pancakes and French toast, excellent menu options including vegetarian options and hamburgers. They are very flexible with special requests. I'm vegetarian and I love their spinach and mushroom enchiladas, their hot chocolate is delicious and their coffee very good. My friends love their tamales, seafood and meat dishes. The staff, specially Ileana and the Chef Victor, are excellent! I highly recommend it!

People who rate this less than five stars need to have their taste buds checked. Stumbled in there after a long day and had the best chicken quesadilla of my LIFE. Nothing fancy about it -- just really good Mexican food. Reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere. And the woman who took our orders was so nice and helpful. I think this is my first Google review but I had to leave it because I can't understand why this place isn't mobbed all the time!!! No notes.

If i coud give this place 10 stars i would. From the moment you walk in, this place makes you feel like you’re home. The food is hands down the most authentic and delicious Mexican food I’ve had in a long time—every dish tastes like it was made with tradition, love, and pride. The flavors are rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced, just like real home-style Mexican cooking should be. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. They are incredibly respectful, welcoming, and genuinely kind, treating every customer like family rather than just another order. Their warmth and attention make the entire experience even more special. This isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a place where culture, comfort, and amazing food come together. If you’re looking for real Mexican food that feeds both your stomach and your soul, this is the place. I can’t recommend it enough.

I cannot say enough amazing things about the food! Everything was fresh, handmade and absolutely delicious! From the homemade tortillas and hot sauces to the incredible compote!! We will be back- hopefully before the secrets out!

Went here for the first time today. The California steak burrito is SO HUGE and super delicious. Their house-made hot salsa is amazing, too! Friendly staff, great food, clean space. Can't wait to come back and try everything!

My favorite breakfast burrito in the city. The salsa are to die for. And the staff is LOVELY! I’ve been going here since they were in the financial district. The burritos are also the perfect size.

New favorite breakfast burrito. That spicy salsa is SO SO good, burrito was small-medium sized, but perfect because it doesn’t leave you feeling dead after. Bacon was greasy, but not to the point where it makes you feel yuck. Just what I’m looking for to bounce back on rough mornings.

When they first opened they made their own chips. Small salsa containers were full. Now half full at best salsa containers and chips are store bought. Advice to the owners – this isn’t getting lost on locals. We can make or break you. Would rather support you but if you cheap out you won’t last. Do better. Strong start and you’ve cheapened out. Think very carefully about your next steps.
