Caravan Outpost (Ojai Valley, California) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Tucked away in the Topatopa Mountains between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, bohemian Ojai — famous for its mystical sunsets, scenic hiking trails, lively art galleries, and spiritual retreats — is the Sedona of southern California. The perfect place, in other words, for a hotel made up of a collection of refurbished Airstream trailers and a tiny house. Arranged in a semi-circle around a lush botanical garden, each has a private outdoor space framed by greenery, and a few come with hammocks strung up between palm trees." - Tablet Hotels

It's a fun, off-grid place to stay in an airstream. There's about 9 rigs on the property, but each unit feels very private. There are tables scattered around on the property to relax outside. They offer a corn hole game, bike rentals, and a large wagon to carry luggage. Staff is welcoming and accommodating. And the sheets are the softest, most inviting I've slept on! Wish I'd gotten the brand!

This is a fabulous glamping experience. If you want spacious accommodations this is not the place for you. For 2 adults we were quite comfortable in the deluxe caravan. The grounds are perfectly landscaped. Downtown Ojai is within walking distance. There is a newly paved biking/walking trail right next to the Outpost. Plus, it is easy to get back to the center of town from many places along the path. The staff was very helpful and available even if not on site. I highly recommend this place. I look forward to returning soon.

Took the wife for a surprise visit to the Caravan Outpost - she had no idea where we were going until we arrived at the front gate. From the flexibility of the staff during booking ( had to make a change due to weather ) , the check in process ( a timely text with all info was received about 2 hours prior to check in ) to the location itself, it could not be any better. The Airstream was spotless clean , everything we needed was provided, and the maintenance of the grounds was flawless - we absolutely loved it - A+++ , and will return for another visit. Highly recommend!!!

Staying at the Caravans in Ojai was such a fun experience. The grounds are beautiful and the airstream was well equipped as described and very clean. It was great having the extra restrooms and showers also. We will definitely be back!

We booked this place because the listing said it had a queen bed and a sofa bed, which was perfect for our group. After booking, we were hit with a surprise $35 “extra bed fee.” But what extra bed? The sofa bed was already listed in the description. When we asked, they said the charge was for linens. We even offered to bring our own, but they wouldn’t allow it and were very rude and aggressive. They used the we have been in business 10 years and not once have we had an issue message, we checked Google reviews and found people had complained ABOUT THE EXACT SAME ISSUE! Overall a really dishonest experience. They basically told us we could cancel if we didn’t like it — this was last minute, right before our trip. It felt really dishonest and left us scrambling to figure out a backup plan. I will say, the location of the spot is great. Right next to downtown but i’m glad we could give our business elsewhere.

Google
This is a great little place with about 10-12 airstreams and a little cabin, all tucked away in what could be described as an urban tropical oasis. It’s all very quaint and cute, with a boho chilled out vibe about it. I had a dog and a toddler with me and they both enjoyed it 😍 The Airstream was clean enough and well equipped. Parking was a pain because there was no availability close by but they provide a cart to haul your stuff from the parking spot. Toilets are clean and they provide bikes for getting around.

Google
Wonderful one night stay at the Caravan Outpost, the airstreams were so clean and secluded from one another. Right off of the main street of Ojai, clear instructions inside the airstream. Be cautious when using the public shower and restrooms, got walked in on a few times by accident, LOL

Google
I have had the pleasure of working with many hotels, retreats, cabins, and boatels, and I must say, the cleanliness and quality of service provided by Leilani and Aubs are simply amazing! They consistently deliver great kindness and a welcoming approach. The Outpost is the cutest getaway for any small event, private gatherings, or even Wine tour Preparations!

Yelp
I recently stayed at the Outpost and I couldn't be more impressed with the overall experience. From the moment we arrived, Leilani was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making it a smooth and positive stay. The landscaping throughout the site is absolutely stunning--lush greenery, well-maintained paths, and thoughtfully placed plants and flowers that create a peaceful and scenic environment. You can tell a lot of care and attention goes into maintaining the grounds, and it really adds to the overall charm of the place. The airstream was so cozy, clean, and well-equipped. We had access to clean restrooms, and hot showers. The communal areas were really nice and picnic tables, were well-kept. There were plenty of activities available, but it was also the perfect place to just unwind and enjoy. Walking distance to good food, live music and great boutique shops. We'll definitely be back! Thank you!

Yelp
Stylish, clean, and peaceful - if you're looking for a place that offers all of this, this spot might be just what you need. I'd even say it's one of the coolest places to stay in Ojai. My partner and I stayed here for two nights, and I felt completely recharged. Even though the airstreams are fairly close to each other, the neighbors were respectful and quiet no disturbances at all. There are two bathrooms: one inside the camper and another outside. There's also a shared common area for guests to hang out and connect. One of the best parts? Free bikes to ride around and explore the town! If I ever visit Ojai again, I'll definitely be staying here again.

Yelp
The vibes are just incredible here. I wish we could have stayed longer. The campers are very clean as well. Expect a camper-sized stay, not a spacious resort vibe. The bathroom is TINY, as expected for a camper. The bedroom is a very tight squeeze, as expected for a camper. But again, fantastic vibes. My only complaint is that it's extremely pricey. I'm not sure if I can make this my go-to spot. $350+/night is A LOT for a camper. If it wasn't for the price, this would be a BIG 5 star from me.

Yelp
Everything was perfect. Trailers clean and nicely ready for us. The staff was fantastic and helpful for any needs we may have had. Thank you for a great experience!!

Yelp
I really enjoyed our stay at Caravan Outpost! It's a cute, unique accomodation for anyone trying to get away. We originally booked an airstream but ended up getting to stay in the tiny house which actually worked better for us since our little one was with us. Despite the name, the tiny house was actually spacious and cozy! We had our own bathroom including a shower. The kitchen included a fridge, stove, sink, water boiler with complimentary coffee, tea and hot cocoa. I'd suggest bringing your own food but there are local restaurants that are walking distance. Check-in and all that is via email and text. I think the only time I saw an employee was the morning of our checkout when they were cleaning the communal bathroom. The space itself was also super quiet, it felt like we had the whole outpost to ourselves! They also have bikes, wagons and a communal outdoor area.

Yelp
Our first visit in Ojai and booked a night here , so glad we did!! Darling relaxing outpost with couple of caravan that's clean and equipped with supplies! Even though there was no host clear communication was done via online ! Great amenities (love the free bike usage) and a nice/quite location among the town

Yelp
Have known about this spot for years from social media and rave reviews from friends. Everything great I heard was spot on! This is such a fun, clean, and chill place to stay while in Ojai. My partner, myself, and our pup Twinkle spent two nights here and LOVED it! The facilities are SO clean and modern, and very welcoming. Comfy chairs, hammocks, desert/ low water garden...beautiful! Incense burning in the communal area all day.... totally my vibe! At night, it was so peaceful, and the beds in the Airsteams are so comfy. Also, everything is in walking distance as this is right off the Main Street at the end of the Arcade. Leilani is such an awesome person, we felt we were very well cared for with anything we asked for. Can't say enough good things, except that we are most definitely coming back!

Yelp
We recently spent two nights in Ojai at Caravan Outpost, and absolutely loved every minute. The communications coming from them was fantastic. We were texted when our trailer was ready with instructions on which trailer was ours, how to get in to the trailer and phone numbers to contact if we needed anything at all. We arrived, parked on the street, and quickly found our beautiful airstream trailer tucked in some trees with a table and two chairs with an umbrella out front. We settled in and walked the grounds. Everything was spotlessly clean, there are games, cornhole and chairs out in the middle of the common area. There are bicycles with helmets available to guests and the bathrooms and shower rooms for guests too were spotlessly clean. Mr. B used the shower rooms as our shower in the trailer was to short for him. He said they were so clean and had everything he needed. Being short, I was able to use the shower in our trailer. Now to the trailer, so fun! It was clean, everything was well taken care of. On the dining table was a retro record player with some vinyl to enjoy. The bathroom had everything we needed and the bedroom was cozy and the bed so comfortable. The air conditioner worked well and we were more than comfortable in the trailer. Leilani, the camp host isn't on site all the time, we saw her both mornings and she was so friendly as was all the staff when on site. Leilani offered recommendations of things to do and places to eat. We had a ball, and loved every minute of our resort camping experience. Parking is on the street and never had a problem getting parking. We would absolutely stay again when in the area. Located on a side street in Ojai and easy to walk into town. We walked the bike path one evening to get dinner, and walked back through town, even stopping a few doors down at a Brewery and Winery to have an after dinner drink before turning in for the night.

Everything about this gorgeous place is a hit! Comfortable, feels serene, very clean! Will definitely be back!!

Yelp
Even though my stay was not that great, I still gave this 4 stars because the grounds were so well maintained and the check in was easy. But here are some negatives: The lighting in our Airstream was very blue (ie daylight, 5500k) and not warm and inviting. So hanging out in the airstream at night with the lights on felt like a prison cell with the cold Florescent lighting and aluminum walls. It doesn't have the fizzy camper feeling we were hoping for. I know they are LED lights but they feel like Florescent lighting in a hospital. So we ended up turning off most of the lights in our airstream due to the harshness. Mostly because of that we will not return. Also our shower door did not close and water went everywhere in the bathroom. And we could not get our heater to turn on. Probably a user error but neither me or my wife could get it to work. Speaking of cold and sterile feeling, booking your stay there is also sterile. You never speak to anyone over the phone or in person. Everything is handled via email or text. Some people may actually like that but I prefer talking to a human and knowing a human is on staff somewhere on the grounds. It was quiet and not very many people when we stayed there in early November, but I bet it gets a bit loud in the summer time. So if you are use to a quiet hotel, this might not be the best place to stay when it's packed. Anyways, the place is well maintained and manicured but will not stay again.

Yelp
Such a cute, unique little spot! Spent an impromptu weekend with 2 of my besties. Our airstream, Diego, was the perfect size for the 3 of us. The record player was such a fun detail. The grounds are well-maintained, clean and everything is meticulous. Shawn was so sweet and kind when booking and especially helpful and excited for us throughout our stay. They even handwrote a bday card for one the besties parking was easy, getting to all the best ojai spots was easy and even the brewery next door was a great easy spot to check out. Can't wait to come back for next time! Thanks for having us, Caravan Outpost!

Yelp
We got a recommendation from a friend because we were going to see Bruce Hornsby at the Libbey Bowl. From beginning to end we could not have been more happy! This is the biggest hidden gem in Ojai. We were 10 minutes walking from the Libbey Bowl, restaurants, bars, and stores all around. The Airstreams are awesome. If you have vinyl, bring some. Every unit had a Victrola knock off. The units are clean and equipped as advertised. I can't wait to visit again when the next show sparks my interest.

Yelp
I absolutely loved staying here with my dog! The property is so cute and there are lots of places that are walkable, including a brewery next door. Leilani was very helpful and got back to me very quickly.

Yelp
From the moment I saw it online I knew it would be an amazing experience. And then we arrived, I was overwhelmed with excitement. The grounds were gorgeous, like your own private tropical getaway, and so peaceful. Great vibe. I took three 13 year old girls with me and they loved the caravan, the bean bag games, and even just playing with their volleyball in their center courtyard. And the service outstanding. Leilani during the day helped me so much! From learning how to pen the windows, getting additional towels, cups etc, to even helping me get a carpenter bee out of the caravan! And the owner was super responsive over text. And so kind. I ask a lot of questions! :) I'd totally stay here again and next time bring friends! (Oh wait, I did, they stayed in the tiny house! Which was super cute). And bring more friends. Thank you Caravan Outpost! Note: they also gave great restaurant recommendations! We went to Zaidees, The Dutchess, La Fuente, and Exotic Thai. Everything delicious!

Yelp
I had no idea what to expect, but this was exceptional. They literally thought of everything to make it a nice glamping experience. I had some of the best sleep in an Airstream for goodness sake! The only thing I think they could do to improve upon this place is have a fire pit. I would have easily bought a bottle of wine and sat outside by the fire pit drinking a bottle of wine. But no fire pit lead me to find the Ojai Valley Brewery which was super fun!

Yelp
Such a cute weekend getaway setup. Away from the big city and just nature and cute local shops. Lots to do and explore here. The staff is very friendly and the airstream is so clean and full of nice vibes. It's romantic and peaceful and cozy, just love it! Our only thing is that the AC can be too loud at night, it's quiet for a bit but then it booms and wakes us up a little. Anyhoo, we just turned it off eventually. It's not hot inside (at least at night) so it's ok.

Yelp
So much more than just staying in a hotel, it's a experience of a lifetime. We stayed in an airstream trailer. It's set up like a campground with a large seating area in the center, surrounded by gardens. The guests gather in the community seating area (around the fire pit) which lens even more to the community feel of this place. It was clean, comfortable, the staff was fantastic, very friendly, and knowledgeable. Already planning a return trip.

Yelp
The Pure essence of "Ojai"! This is the coolest and most economical place to stay in Ojai. Perfect for one or two people who just want to get away from the normal, cookie-cutter crap in order to simply enjoy everything the Ojai Valley has to offer. And then at the end of the day soak in the ambiance with a few glasses of wine before walking next door to the Ojai Valley Brewery. Bikes are available on-site, but pretty much everything is within walking distance, to include the Ojai Valley Athletic/Tennis Club, which offers daily guest passes.

Yelp
What a great experience for our family and fur babies the airstream trailer is so clean and spacious. very good location for shopping and activities. Emma and other staff in the Caravan are very helpful and friendly! Looking forward to come back again .

Yelp
Amazing!! Such a lovely place. I was very surprised on how much room was in the airstream. Would highly recommend coming here and getting out of hectic LA for a weekend. I will definitely be coming back soon, thanks Shawn for an easy check in

Yelp
I just wanted to say THANK YOU! I am referring everyone I know! You all are the best!! From answering my questions before arrival to the clever welcome text letting us know the caravan was ready to your attention to detail and warm welcome!!! Every part of the stay was PERFECT!!! Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
This place was awesome!! So glad we found it and we were able to book 3 trailers for our friends 40th birthday!! The grounds are beautiful, the trailers were so cute, cozy and very comfortable for 3 adults each! At some point we had 4 people! Leilani and Alexandra were two employees that really stood out for their helpfulness and being so nice and attentive! I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance!!!

Yelp
Great spot! Clean, cozy, cool vibe and excellent customer communication and service! The have Bikes to help get around town and a brewery two doors down. A great launching pad for a romantic getaway or a small get together ( and Covid compliant of course.)

Lana T.

Yelp
What a magical spot for a special girls' weekend and birthday celebration! The airstreams are clean and comfortable while also being tastefully decorated and thoughtfully appointed. We were treated so well during our whole stay and had an amazing time hanging out in the shared outside spaces as well as walking to nearby shops and restaurants.

Yelp
What a special place to stay in Ojai; it far exceeded my expectations. The staff was excellent. The Airstreams were beautiful and the coffee in the morning hit the spot! The lighting at night, and the vinyls in the room are also a lovely touch - highly recommend staying here.

Allegra L.

Yelp
Impeccable. We absolutely loved this unique and peaceful retreat style Airstream lodge. Every detail was unique and perfect. To begin on that note, the record player with classic records was so fun and cute. The hot water heating tea kettle was awesome, the luggage cart is absolutely perfect, the free bike rentals are genius (no child seats yet, but I was told they were trying to find one, my guess is for reasonable safety reasons), the outdoor bathroom and shower is a good addition (the airstream has a shower and toilet, but it is a movable trailer so the plumbing obviously is different than a fixed structure). Ojai has a curfew and I love that fact, the early quiet nights are appreciated when visiting from Los Angeles. Great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants but not next to the Main Street. The other guests are respectful and the employees are awesome and really care about your satisfaction. They make check in easy and are helpful. Important details. Impeccably clean. You will not be disappointed. I am very adamant about clean overnight stays and I will notice everything. Not a stain anywhere. Gorgeous. The Airstream is beautiful. It's is roomy and in good condition. It's an airstream so be aware of the windows. Not an issue for me, but this isn't a hotel, so simply be mindful of the technical details. The shower in the airstream is limited and water inside in general. Not an issue if you are already conservative in this regard. Has full cooking capability but doesn't have pots pans etc. This wasn't an issue for me. There is a refrigerator. I can't remember if there is a microwave. The windows are wonderful for natural light and tinted for the day, and curtains for privacy in the evening. Has solid AC and heat. Bed is very comfortable. Pillows are good. Blankets and sheets are good. Fall asleep easy. The kitchen sitting area is roomy. The outside personal sitting area is also spacious and roomy. Enough privacy you don't feel crowded amongst the other guests. There are only 10 airstream and doesn't feel crowded. There is also a shared outdoor sitting area. We could hear an acoustic band early evening and stopped by the curfew of 9/10pm. The band was playing Back Street Boys acoustic "I want it that way"...amongst other songs. It was distant but could hear it when outside very faintly and it was very good ambience. Parking isn't difficult but it's street parking on a quiet street and not an issue. We loved it here and will return. Very unique and fun adventure. My son LOVED it. We felt very welcomed and at ease here. Sorry I didn't have more photos, these were just personal photos I shared with family and friends, I didn't take them for reviewing purposes.

Yelp
Our recent two-night stay at the Caravan Outpost served as a relaxing endpoint to a very busy vacation. We chose to stay in Julian (the tiny house) as opposed to an Airstream, simply because we weren't sure how cramped the layout would feel. No less than fifteen minutes into our first evening at the outpost, my boyfriend immediately began remarking about how curious he was to stay in an Airstream and how cute they looked. I guess we'll have to come back and try one for "research purposes" at some point. Julian contains a living room, kitchen with microwave, small cooktop, dishwasher, and fridge as well as a bathroom, bedroom, and loft with two beds. I found the space to be perfect for two adults who want to spread out a bit and can imagine it would accommodate a family with a couple kids quite nicely. The super efficient a/c and heater kept the space comfortable despite temps that soared to 90 during the day and dipped into the 50's at night. Outdoors there is a bistro set with lights situated in the back and two lounge chairs closer to the action at the main circle of the caravan. (They get some amazing sunlight throughout the day just fyi.) Service is chill and friendly, and the host texted me in advance to say she'd put ice in our freezer and left us a cute complimentary tote bag with eco-friendly disposable place settings and dishes. We didn't have a bit of trouble getting anything extra we needed during our stay. I grew up in Ojai, so getting to experience my hometown as a guest in such a novel and enchanting environment was super meaningful for me. I'm already looking forward to future visits and plan to stay at the Caravan Outpost each time I'm in town. Thank you!

Yelp
We had a great stay here. They serve coffee every morning starting at 8:15am. They have bicycles available also! There is a walking/biking trail right behind here that we used every day. Bed was comfortable and everything was clean. There is a stove and convection oven. They also had an electric kettle. We had to bring our own kitchen supplies and forgot to bring dish soap/ sponge. It would have been nice if they had some of these kind of supplies just in case. They also give you disposable utensils and plates, but we stayed for 4 nights and only got 2 of each. Shower is a little tight just as an fyi. I would stay here again.

Yelp
Travel is one of my passions and traveling with my kids, especially now that they are teenagers, is something I don't get to do enough. We have been fortunate to stay at incredible hotels (and some not so incredible) So when we were planning our weekend get away from my doctor's birthday and I offered to take her and her friends to a 5 star Resort in Ojai and she chose a return trip to Caravan Outpost I am was thrilled to know that coming here last time had made such an impression, and a bit concerned that the passage of a few years plus Covid would result in it not living up to her memories of it. From the moment I booked the trip to our departure I was thrilled that my concerns were unfounded! Honestly the people who work here are beyond friendly ans helpful. The caravans are clean and the upkeep is excellent. The kids loved the record player (we have one at home but rarely used- however the collection of albums was awesome!) This is a great family getaway and walking into town takes about seven minutes so while you feel like you are completely removed it's convenient to shops and restaurants (I wouldn't recommend trying to cook in the kitchen since there isn't cookware and the space is small!) Please note that the fire pit is not open but the neighboring property invites guests to come and use their fire pits, bring picnics etc with no obligation to buy anything!
google avatar

Yelp
The Caravan Outpost exceeded all expectations. Very cool and uniquely curated, made the trip feel very special and memorable. The designs of the airstreams were well done. The public bathrooms on the premise were very clean. The communal hangouts were very picturesque. I would 1000% stay here again.

Yelp
We stayed here over the 4th of July holiday and we're SO happy with Caravan Outpost. 10/10 would stay again. We loved the airstream, it was my husband and I, our daughter and doggie. Super fun! Loved the atmosphere, the lights and games. Walking distance to E Ojai Ave.. loved how the bike trail is right behind and you can hop on it to ride or walk for miles if you like. The brewery is right next door and we enjoyed their live music from the table/chairs in front of our Airstream. Great camp hosts..Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place. Beautiful, relaxing property. Gorgeous nature. Right next to the biking trail and super quick walk to all the great Ojai restaurants, breweries, and bars! Cute, comfortable, hip airstreams with everything you need. Slept GREAT. We will be back!

Yelp
Came here for a little getaway with my family of four. We stayed in the two room caravan. We had a great visit. We walked around during the day in downtown Ojai and came back to camp in the evenings. We loved all the decor! In the morning there is hot cocoa and coffee available. My kids loved the outdoor games and spent some time there. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Yelp
Cool and chill spot to stay at in Ojai. Close to everything, with bikes available for their guests and a bike path very close by. Would definitely love to stay and visit again...

Christine T.

Yelp
My daughter and I recently stayed at The Caravan Outpost for a quick getaway. We stayed in one of their many refurbished Airstreams. There was a cute outside sitting area, but unfortunately it was too hot to sit outside. Our airstream was adorable clean and so comfortable. There was a little kitchen nook where we eat some of our meals and a comfortable coach. The bed was very comfortable as well. The biking/ walking path is just outside the facility and goes right into town. We walked almost everywhere. The caravan is a perfect getaway for a couple or 2 people or Mother/ daughter. Leilani was our host and was very attentive to our needs and always so sweet and welcoming. We really enjoyed her! Thank you Caravan outpost for such a great stay. We will be back!

Yelp
This place is really cute and "instagram-able" ... nice setting and the park has been set up well. That said, this was not a comfortable stay when you consider the luxury price. The inside of the camper is very small. The shower was uncomfortably cramped for my husband. I'm glad we only stayed one night ... it was a novelty but not something I'd want to repeat.

Janet B.

Yelp
The airstream trailers were very clean with updated interiors and appliances. The bed was comfortable and linens were good The bikes were great and location of the campground was convenient The two criticisms I have are that the person checking us in was not very informative about the many idiosyncrasies of the trailers. The booklet had only a minimum of instructions especially regarding how to turn on the hot water heater. Door locks were frustrating to use Also, the absence of a fire pit was a disappointment since it was listed.

Yelp
Such a unique and fun adventure!!! I'm in love with Ojai and the Caravan Outpost had such a fun and unique vibe. The airstream we stayed in #11 was great, clean and comfortable. 2 adults and 2 kiddos fit nicely. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My kids were in heaven getting to stay in an airstream! The airstreams have a toilet and shower, but there is also a very clean restroom and shower room on the premises. I'll definitely be a return guest!!!

Yelp
Caravan Outpost was listed as one of the stops on this year's Ojai Valley Chamber of Commerce Spring Garden Tour for its stunning tropical setting. The description was cryptically clever, so that I didn't realize it was a lodging option until we arrived. When we pulled up, there was one of their Tommy Bahama-styled Airstreams out on the street, open for touring. The Outpost was gracious enough to welcome tour participants to visit their grounds. The garden designer was on hand to answer questions, as well. The lush plantings, ripe with palms and other exotic flora, brought to mind an island getaway. There is an Adventureland feeling, like being able to camp out there in the original Disneyland jungle. It that were possible, it might just have this vibe. It's such a whimsical, magical combination of laid-back campground, but also "glamping" in the elegantly turned out Airstream trailers. I'm sure that hanging out at the campfire each evening is a throwback experience to sleep-away camp when we were kids. There's also a camp store; a place with logo gear for sale, and provisions for the outdoorsy lifestyle. Large sofas sit in the heart of the space, with a stereo playing. While we were there, it was mostly Neil Young serenading the guests. Brought me right back to my younger years; simpler times. Can't wait to stay here!

Yelp
It would be nice if flush toilets were open earlier than posted signage of 9-5 We also needed cups for hot drinks vs just the two plastic glasses.

Yelp
Great but got bitten by bedbugs at night!!! Would be super minus the bedbugs!

Yelp
Stayed here with a couple of friends in late December because we wanted to make ourselves believe that we are campers when in fact we are everything but. The caravan outpost is located on a random side street a few blocks away from DT Ojai and right next to a bike bath. You cannot check in early so don't arrive expecting to be accommodated, especially since someone has to perform deep cleaning between every guest. Also keep in mind that because of COVID, they took away most utensils and dishes from inside the airstream so you have to ask for everything. In addition, you cannot gather with others outside of your party on the common "play" area. However, we ate lunch outside without a problem. The airstream easily accommodated 3 people and we didn't even have to do anything to turn on the hot water which is awesome become that made me nervous. Unfortunately we came to Ojai on the rainiest day/night in a year so we had to experience a heavy rainstorm in the airstream which was definitely loud. However, it was never cold inside and the temperature is easily manipulated. In addition to the bathroom inside your airstream, they have very nice/clean bathroom in the common area. And don't forget to ask for coffee! Yes, they serve free coffee in the AM to get your day started.

Yelp
Such an amazing little gem in Ojai. I can only speak on behalf of our experience with "Earl" - a lovely little spot with an outdoor hammock, two chairs, privacy, and one of the two lucky caravans with an outdoor lounge chaise in front. Earl was quiet and clean and easy to adjust to an "at home" feeling. The decor is definitely hip, yet comfortable. A record player and records are provided in the kitchen, with the ability to exchange your records throughout your trip for free! Everyone working here was extremely kind and accommodating, creating the perfect glamping experience. Stay tuned, we will be booking our next trip in the (very) near future!

Yelp
This place is AMAZING! Hubby and I had a mini vacation here and it was the highlight of the summer we can't wait to go back! The staff was so friendly and accommodating , they were able to make good recommendations for food and beverages place near by, they provide stuff for s'more for us and kept the fire lit all night! The owner made a reservation for us to get massages and that worked out so well! So relaxing! And to top that off they had some awesome bike cruiser for us to use! Those were soooo fun riding around town! Our camper was clean and just adorable, we enjoyed listening to the old records that were provided and chilling in the hammock! We brought our dog and she had a blast hanging out with us although the camper was a little scary for her, but she's afraid of everything! Such a great experience we can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We spent a weekend at Caravan Outpost with family and friends for our daughter and son in laws birthday. Leilani and Kelly were the best hosts and so helpful and friendly. The airstreams are newer and good accommodations. There are two restrooms an one big shower to use in addition to the trailers bathroom/shower. We met new friend while playing corn hole and the tables and chairs in the common area were pleasant. The greenery with palms trees, plants and succulents felt tropical. There is a brewery nearby and so much within walking distance. We utilized the walking trail that is next to the outpost to go get breakfast, lunch and exercise. It ended up being an enjoyable weekend and we hope to find another time to celebrate at Caravan Outpost.

Yelp
The Caravan Outpost is a great place to stay in Ojai. My son and I wanted an adventure, so we rented their Tiny House which had a great heater for a very cold night. We loved every thing about our stay. The staff is very friendly and we could walk to restaurants and stores easily.

Yelp
Stayed in a luxury airstream with our baby & dog for a weekend getaway from LA. They have contactless check in, Paris texted the day of check in with instructions. They offer disposable plates, utensils & cups. The A/C during the day & heater at night worked great. They have a lot of restaurants close by if you don't want to cook in your airstream. The have bike rentals for the day. Our airstream was spotless with cleanliness. Mask have to be worn in public areas. There was hand sanitizer and soap provided in different areas. Can't wait to come back! Definitely recommend staying for more than two days.
