Caravel Hotel

We had a wonderful stay at Caravel Hotel. The location is fantastic, it is within walking distance to many major attractions and surrounded by great food options, including an excellent dim sum restaurant just nearby. There’s also a small supermarket just one street down, and a 24-hour beef brisket takeaway stall that offers many other delicious local delicacies. The rooms were clean and comfortable, just as shown in the photos. We booked two rooms for a family of four for two nights, and found the rates to be very reasonable, definitely great value for money. What truly stood out was the service. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially Kenneth from Guest Services. My husband had a mishap while we were out visiting a tourist spot and wasn’t feeling well the next morning. Kenneth went above and beyond to assist us and he helped arrange a visit to a nearby hospital, called a taxi for us, and even guided us on how to get back to the hotel afterwards. Though we were supposed to check out that same day, the hotel was kind enough to make an exception in case we returned late from the hospital. We ended up making it back in time and checked out by their designated check out time, but the gesture was deeply appreciated. Overall, it was a comfortable, convenient, and stress-free experience with excellent service and great value. We’re truly grateful for the care and thoughtfulness shown by the team at Caravel. Highly recommend this hotel!

Caravel hotel was located a bit away from the main casino street, but pretty much good to walk around the tourist area tho. Room was clean and good sized, but really the one make this hotel special is hospitality from receptionist. Mr.Harvey was very kind and informative from check-in to check-out. He’s kindness made me feeling so welcomed in Macau, and it was the best part of staying at caravel hotel.

The Caravel Hotel is a right choice of hotel to stay in. The Room is spectacular. Beautiful decoration and good amenities. Miss Ivy/ Receptionist is an excellent staff who try to serve us at utmost. The location is near to main tourist attractions. I do recommend to stay here is you are visiting Macao

Family room was pleasant, spacious, and clean. Only downside is the location which is in old Macao, so if you will tour the common tourist destinations such as Londoner, Parisian, etc, you will have to navigate which bus to take to get to the other side or better take the hop on hop off tour bus. The place around the hotel is also old residential and busy place, but generally clean streets and close to a bus stop.

It was a great stay in general, booked 2 rooms (a twin and a double bed), and stayed for a night while we explored the city. 🎵 rooms were quiet at night, though I did spot that the door gaps were pretty huge, which would let out noise if anyone is to be noisy 🛏️ bed was comfortable, and generally clean 🚻 loccitane toiletries were provided, water temperature was consistent, no bidet for the WC and the basin was built slightly too inwards - resulting in us having to lean quite a bit forward when using it. 🗺️ location was decent actually, quite a short bus ride to the hotel from the outer harbour, and its walking distance to the ruins and senado square A great stay overall, no complaints and would stay again in future 👍🏻

Recently stayed at the Caravel Hotel. Must i say, originally finding hotels in Macau was super hard. I encountered the Caravel Hotel, a little skeptical of it being stated a two star hotel. 100% a solid 4 to 4.5 star hotel, offered with great staff experience, resplendent rooms and a room filled with essentials. The staff were super welcoming such as assisting us with our suitcases and the process smooth. This was a 2 day hotel, yet it felt like an everlasting experience; in a good way. My three kids were thrilled with the hotel experience and i thank the staff on my behalf. Thank you for a safe and comfortable experience. A hotel filled with endless memories.

They're offerring "No-prepayment needed, pay at the property" but they will still charge your card anyway (it doesn't say anything about pre-authorization in the website either). This is annoying especially when you're just trying to book a room for someone else. Since the guest didn't have the physical card that was used to book, they had to charge the guest with a different card. They said the previous charge will take 2-3 months to be refunded, that's absurd! They rather get a very unsatisfied customer than finding a better solution!

Rating of 4.7 stars is correct and description of 2 stars is incorrect. This hotel is a wonderful place to stay at the prescribed price. Best to get a promo rate. The room is comfortable, clean and cosy. Facilities are adequate and shower water has good pressure and temperature can be controlled easily. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful particularly Harvey. Good food around and near tourist attractions.
