Guests can relax on a sandy beach with chairs and umbrellas or enjoy two pools—one nestled in a coconut grove with an ocean view and another with a children’s area. We were lucky and got a newly renovated room with sea view (lucky or lucky, we paid for it, but it looked like it was just finished renovating it). The spot is just marvelous, with a neat little private beach to the resort. Two different pool areas and a good vibe. We had to pay 20 euros in deposit per beach towel, which I feel is very unnecessary for a hotel guest. The place was also a bit old, but it looks like they are doing something about it. Breakfast was also just okey. Spacious breakfast place with a sea view, and they serve omelette. Walking distance from the boat ferry connecting to Fort de France at the marina (15-20 min boat ride). Very convenient. A bit pricey, but I guess all of the places out here is a bit pricey.

Stayed for one week and we were happy about it. In general the hotel is well situated with a private small beach where there are some small waves thus keep an eye on the kids. The room is just ok - not fancy at all and even old schooled with furnitures in a very used status. However the daily cleaning is well done thus you will not find the sands after. Since we took the full pension thus we had the buffet every meal. The food is very good - many choices and each of them is tasty. Especially the daily fruits are fresh and super sweet (watermelons, pineapples, oranges, etc.) Next to the hotel, there is the small port where the shuttle to Fort de France can be taken as well as all excursions can be found - very practical for hotel guests as it is in a walking distance (10 mins max).

Stayed for 4 nights June 2023. Rooms need updating and have no fridge or coffee facilities in them. Aircon is central fed as well so no real control except fan speed. Receptionist on arrival was very unhelpful. I speak basic French but there was no help in understanding check in. Food was the usual buffet affair and very basic. Breakfast was not hot as it was bulk made and left to go cold and stodgy. Bacon looked awful. Pool was good for relaxing except one of the gates was shut so you had to walk all the way round and up the stairs past the restaurant to get to the bar. The all inclusive package was very limited on drinks options. Beware! The local bars and restaurants so much better. TUI also provide entertainment but it is tailored 100% to French speaking only so that had us lost.

A perfectly located hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The room had a beach- and sea view on the top floor. Breakfast was good with lots of local fruits. There are two good swimming pools and one small beach at the hotel and just a few minutes walk to other beaches, which are very beautiful. During our stay there were problems with the electricity and the WiFi was not stable. The hotel rooms interior are getting quite old but still the bathroom shower was one of the we've ever had, with good water pressure and lots of hot water.

Rooms are spread over a large area of tropical gardens, with plants identified with markers for those interested. Rooms are large and comfortable, but there is no coffee available in the rooms. Meals are served buffet style in a large hall, with breakfast included, but other meals for additional but reasonable cost. Lots of choices on the menu. There is a small beach, and two pools. A catamaran offering cruises docks at the hotel. A marina nearby has a number of restaurants and shops, and is the place to catch a boat to Fort de France in place of a cab, and for a much lower price. The guests are mostly French.

My wife and I were guests of this awesome hotel for our Honeymoon. We are both profoundly grateful for the gracious hospitality of the staff. P.S. The hotel itself has a wonderful beach area with lots of great snorkeling, and a pier for fishing. It very much had a family vibe which was nice. I still recommend going across the small harbor next door and checking out the point. The more you explore (Shoes advised), the more you get rewarded with cool finds.

For our first trip to Martinique, we decided to stay in the area of the Trois Ilets which was away from the capital of Fort de France but yet provided easy access to the city. We couldn't have asked for a better location than that which we found at the Carayou Hotel and Spa. The hotel is at the end of the peninsula of Pointe du Bout and is in a relatively quiet area. And yet, within easy walking distance of the hotel is a marina which offers ferry rides to the city, a number of wonderful small restaurants and bistros and a shopping area which was very convenient and provided quite a lot of variety. We loved it there and were sorry when our four-day visit ended.||||Our room was located right on the little bay leading to the harbor so we had a wonderful view of the sea, and there were beautiful sandy beaches right nearby. The hotel itself has a lovely pool and also a sandy beach with plenty of chairs for lounging and shaded areas--much appreciated!||||All of the staff at the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful in every way, and there was always someone available who could speak English very well in case of any problems or concerns. (We had none!!)||||Additionally, we loved the buffet breakfasts and the beautiful dining area, meticulously attended to by the servers. It was a great way to begin each morning!||||As other reviewers have noted, the accommodations are more than adequate and served all of our needs but there could be improvements. This is the only reason that I have for not giving the Carayou five stars! Everything else was five star all of the way!!||||Magnifique!

I visited the Carayou in September, 2017 with a large group. The restaurant is very nice, with good buffets for breakfast and dinner. The deck overlooks the bay. It's a magnificent place to eat breakfast while watching the water.||||The swimming pools are equally good. There are two, one overlooking the bay and another inside the hotel complex. There is a waterfall (slide?) in one of them, and the hotel offers excursions for hiking, snorkeling, and such.||||The drawback is the rooms. The air-conditioning isn't terribly powerful, and the rooms are built to European standards of the 1980s- beds are relatively narrow and firm, there are few power outlets. It's quite acceptable, but American tourists are likely to be surprised at the accommodations.
