Carcassonne Bed and Breakfast du Palais

They strike the perfect balance between attentive and respectful of your privacy.||||The attention to detail in housekeeping was remarkable, making the space feel fresh and inviting. The house is decorated beautifully, we stayed in the red room and it was stunning! We slept soundly in the comfy beds, which felt like sleeping on clouds.||||The tranquil garden is a highlight of the property. They provide a serene escape, perfect for a relaxing afternoon. The peaceful environment really allows you to unwind and disconnect by the pool under the beautiful olive trees listening to birds sing.||||The breakfast is lovely , fresh fruit, omelettes and crepes! The presentation of the continental breakfast was beautiful, and It was the perfect start to each day.||||I would highly recommend you stay here for your carcassonne getaway, we left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. The combination of stunning surroundings, comfortable accommodation, and outstanding service makes this B&B a must-visit. It is just a short walk to lovely restaurants and so close to the medieval city. We can't wait to return!

In the top five of accommodation we’ve ever stayed in and was spotlessly clean. From start to finish everything was first class. The ambiance was so laid back and homely. ||We chose the red room which had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and well groomed garden area. The room was spacious with a good sized bathroom, it had a very comfortable four poster bed with ample storage space in an adjoining separate area. ||Breakfast was a selection of fresh fruit, cereals, cured meats, cheese and croissants. Crepes and omelettes were cooked freshly by our hosts along with teas and coffees. ||We loved it. Elaine our host was charming, warm and welcoming. A special shout out to Jayne and Glen who met us on arrival and made us feel so at home. ||Top marks and we wish you continued success.

Wow, what a beautiful place. We have just returned today and had the best time ever at our stay at the Du Palais. It is in an accessible place but lovely and quiet with everything you need within 8mins walking distance. There are restaurants near by and the castle within the city is incredible. The rooms are lovely and spacious and breakfast was beautiful and to top our relaxing stay the sun beds are comfortable and the pool was perfect. Elaine the host was super supportive from the moment we booked over the phone and when we arrived Elaine directed us to the right places, so a massive “thank you” from us. I can’t explain how beautiful and special the place is and you will not be disappointed when you book. We will 100% go back at some point. A little gem in the heart of Carcassonne with attention to detail, friendly staff and such a relaxed atmosphere. Here for a long weekend in the South of France, our bijou B&B was simply a fantastic base. Breakfasts are a mixture of fruits, breads, cheeses, pastries, omelettes and crepes. Run by English ex pats, everyone staying has commented how exquisite this place is. A pool bag and towels for each room changed daily along with your room towels was a nice touch. As we had an early flight on departure day they provided a travel breakfast as we missed our normal time. Certainly a place we will return to when exploring the region again.

We had a fabulous stay at this hotel. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful.|The bed was so comfortable the whole place was clean. The owner is such a lovely lady and to top it off it has a lovely pool. Definitely would return. Location great for the city and restaurants.

The location was top notch less than 10 minute walk to center of new town and 15 minute walk to the Castle City, we got the shuttle bus €6 from airport and The Dome bus stop is a 5 minute walk. ||The hostess with the mostess Elaine welcomed us with a big smile, and she is every bit as glamorous as the Palais, we immediately felt right at home. The house (Palais) is decorated so beautifully even down to numerous scented candles lighting throughout the day, full of lovely little touches, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious, omlettes/ crepes and continental breakfast set us up the day. ||She provides cute little beach bags with towels for the pool use. We stayed in the pink room and honestly the bed and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud so much so we looked forward to getting back to bed in the evening!!||I went with my friend celebrating a milestone birthday I would definitely go back with my husband. ||I highly recommend going to Chateau Pennautier for lunch it’s 10 minutes by taxi and we also did wine tasting. |We also visited O Vineyard for wine tour.

Just completed a 3 night stay at the wonderful Carcassonne bed and breakfast du Palais. Our room was quite large with a nice sitting area and balcony. The entire house is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. It is in a perfect location. An easy 10 minutes walk from the train station, very close to many restaurants and a 15/20 min walk to the old city. The breakfast was excellent with many choices and fresh bread and Croissants. I would definitely stay again.

This was a fairly last minute booking for 4 nights, for my wife, parents and I. We had thought about booking a hotel but upon reading the superb reviews, decided to book B&B du palais. It was a great decision! The B&B is ideally situated for both the main town and station, and the old town. The building itself is extremely charming and provides a real boutigue feel. The rooms are a good size and very tastefully decorated, as is the lounge area. The pool is a bonus - set in an intimate garden area that really catches the sun. The B&B's greatest asset is its staff - Elaine (the owner), ably assisted by Jess at breakfast times, made our stay extremely comfortable. Carcassonne, and the surrounding towns and cities, made for a lovely trip, but our stay at du Palais made it exceptional.
