The rise of conservation-focused resorts - SilverKris

"One of Southeast Asia’s last stretches of unbroken rainforest, this vast landscape covers more than five percent of Cambodia and hosts over a million hectares of diverse habitat across some 16 ecosystems, supporting many rare species including dozens listed on the IUCN Red List. The range has been severely threatened by logging, sand dredging and poaching, but protection has expanded since the 1990s and in 2016 several parks were merged into a far larger protected area, creating a corridor for conservation while attracting eco-conscious tourism that aims to fund and spotlight preservation efforts." - Silkwinds, the inflight magazine of SilkAir

Some very good hiking. Keep in mind there are Asian Moon Bears living in the mountain range and they tend to be pretty aggressive. Elephants as well. Treat this place with the kind of respect you would treat Yellow Stone in the US. It’s a massive park and help can be very far away when you need it. Other than that, it’s stunningly beautiful and large parts of it are untouched. A guide is highly recommended if you want to get further out.
