I went for spa day in the afternoon. The layout of the spa was great. Sue was amazing and very helpful. All the other staff was very professional. Special thanks to Elements for the delish afternoon tea and strong tea as well as requested. Must try-outdoors was pods, herbal sauna and outdoor pool. Indoors must try-aroma aqua sauna, trapezium and Finnish sauna. I thoroughly enjoyed my spa afternoon at Carden. Calm, relaxed and chilled. Much needed during colder months. So lucky we had sunshine all day. I would definitely be back and highly recommend with friends ✌🏽✨️

Booking over the phone, last minute, was quick and easy. Staff were helpful and friendly, answering questions. Payment was also easy. We decided to upgrade the room because we were told that the beds were bigger (King Size) rather than double. We made use of the outdoor activities with both our boys completing the Vertigo & Zip Line course. Check in was easy, online, completed at the reception desk promptly. Our room was clean, however the beds were double beds instead of King Size. There were only 2 sets of towels and no robes. Reception (particularly a lady called Alex) were helpful and kind and found us an alternative room, with King Size beds. The restaurant (both dinner & breakfast) was clean and efficient. Dinner was delicious. Great food and wonderful staff (especially Gemma).

Overall we (Couple + Toddler) had a good stay. We each enjoyed certain aspects of the property and stay, and we all could have done with the stay being longer.||||My daughter enjoyed the play park at the back of the property, though it could use a days maintenance. My Wife enjoyed the room service and her morning in the Spa. I enjoyed the leisure facilities in the hotel and views of the estate (we had an Estate view room).||||All our staff interactions were good (Reception, House Keeping, Room Service, Leisure suite, Bar).||||What let it down was cleanliness and maintenance issues (point off for each).||||Cleanliness||The carpets in the room corridors were noticeably dirty from when we arrive to when we left. Our room had cobwebs, a piece of crisp, and some kind of liquid spill residue from the fridge.||||Maintenance||Lights in pool not working, missing costume drier in men's changing rooms, loose lamp shades in room, paint in places it shouldn't be (messy decorating not cleaned up). Child's play area has missing fixings, damaged ropes, some rotten timber.||||We would stay here again and hope that better room checks are done and the facilities are brought up to scratch.

Beautiful hotel and spa. Pleased I ignored the negative comments. Couldn't fault anything. Room, food and spa was amazing! Pleased we were allowed to wear our sliders and crocs as my mam can't wear the flip-flops provided and me being a big foot, mine didn't fit. We got mam a facial and to date it was the best she has had and we have had many spa experiences. We will most definitely be back when visiting Chester again.

Beautiful hotel both the inside and the grounds.|The staff deserve an A* review - welcoming, friendly and efficient.|We were upgraded to an estate view king room which was lovely- thank you. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with gorgeous views. However a coffee maker would be so much better than instant coffees. Most good hotels have one now, even in standard rooms.|The food in Morgan’s and Redmond’s was delicious; we had lunch, dinner and breakfast.|We will be returning!

We attended for a late christmas present! Fine dining and spa stay! Absolutely amazing spa afternoon, gorgeous facilities and superb treatment! We had booked the Vines Fine Dining tasting menu and chose to add on the wine flight. The food was exquisite and allowed me to explore dishes from would never have picked from a menu…. I was not disappointed the food was delicious Special thanks to Julian who took to the time to make our evening so special, explaining the wine choice, the origin of the wine and why it had been paired with the dish… nothing was too much trouble! Overall an amazing experience. Only one criticism would be the sizing of the spa ropes for quests of a larger stature like myself (however to be fair I did not ask if there was an alternative) Highly recommended and will defo be returning!!

First time visiting, lovely stay and facilities. Signal was poor as remote location. It would have been nice to have robes and slippers included. There isn’t much lighting in the room we stayed. I would recommend staying here.

Yelp
This is my 10th visit here as Carden is my spa of choice. Have visited others that only have some elements of this spa. A good tip! Usually tranquil and relaxing as today is a bank holiday the pool is full to rafters with boisterous children having a really good time. Not very relaxing if your looking to 'switch off' for a little while. So, having escaped to the relaxation rooms to have one of tomorrow's treatments today! I requested this and it was no bother at all to the spa staff. Can always return jacuzzi n swim in the morning instead.. Room lovely as usual and refurbished to a high standard. The meal in Redmonds was lovely and cost with wine for two was £60.. But you can usually get this included in a package. Would definitely recommend this hotel for spa enthusiasts and golfers of all abilities

Yelp
This place is a fantastic hotel. Everything about my stay here was luxurious and enjoyable. We attended the Morgan Foundation Young Entrepreneur awards here in 2009. Steve Morgan of the Morgan Foundation actually owns this hotel, so what better a venue for his illustrious awards event! The food was perfect, the service was first class, and the hotel itself was incredible. I've heard great things about the golf course, and it looked great, but I'm not a golfer so I can't comment too much on it. The pool area and spa were great, and all included in the price of our room. The room had two huge spacious double beds and a widescreen TV. The grounds of the hotel were fantastic for a walk, and the breakfast was to die for. If you're looking for a great, top class hotel, Carden Park is the one to go for!

Yelp
There was a 'metal creaking' noise all night. I made a complaint via email and in person. They did not put it right, just said that they had no other complaints and offered me a bottle of wine on my next visit. However, I shall not be returning. Not good enough I'm afraid. Couldn't enjoy my very expensive treatments because I was so wound up and tired.

Yelp
I stayed at the De vere Carden Park last year and it was fantastic. It was a 4 hour drive for me to get there but was worth every minute. The entrance and long drive up to the hotel is spectacular. The grounds contain many walks and activities including laser clay shooting, quad biking, 44 off roading and two championship golf courses! The amount of outdoor things to do is unsurprising since there are 750 acres of grounds!!!! That is enormous! For my visit, I had decided to treat myself for my birthday and go away on my own for a couple of nights. This was a scary prospect at first but I was made to feel so welcome and comfortable. The hotel itself is a stunning building which manages to feel both grand and welcoming at the same time. There are a number of places to eat from fine dining, to bar grub to a brasserie. I ate mainly in my room as I was on my own and usually covered in strange coloured face packs and hair treatments! The food was ok but to be honest I ordered very plain items. However, I have heard good reports about the restaurants. I stayed in one of the blocks in the grounds. These were buildings housing a few 'apartments'. When I entered my 'room' I couldn't believe it - it was honestly bigger than the first flat I stayed in! There was thee usual living and bed space but also a long wide corridor with storage and a dressing table. The most impressive was the bathroom which was total luxury and had the deepest bath I have ever seen. Plus it was all immaculate and there were lots of little free added items. The bed was enormous and I had to jump on to it as it was so high! There was the usual tea, coffee, biscuits, tv, phone etc. Plus there was lots of literature and details of room service, activities, menus etc. To keep me occupied I had booked a number of spa treatments. My favorite was the hot stones massage which was 2 hours of sheer bliss. The spa was again gorgeous with areas to sit and relax when you were resting or waiting to be seen. The rooms that the treatments were given in were also really lovely and had a very expensive feel to them with tasteful decor. The staff were fantastic and absolutely the right balance of being friendly and professional. I also had a manicure and pedicure which were both great too. The knowledge of the staff was impressive and I really felt like a valued guest. Plus, I got a free robe and slippers! The hotel also has a pool, sauna/spa area and gym. All of which are well equipped, clean and relaxing. There is plenty to do if you just want to laze around and there are seating areas so you can spend the whole day in the pool area. You are given towels when you arrive at the pool too so no need to carry wet ones back with you. Can you tell I loved this place? I would recommend this to anyone wanting some pampering and have heard similar reports about the other De vere locations. Yes, it was expensive but worth every single penny. I will definitely return and am always looking at their website for a quick 'fix' before I make it there again. Take a look at their website and tell me you're not tempted. Sheer indulgence.

Yelp
We went here for my boyfriends birthday, this is one of deveres deluxe hotels so its a bit nicer than some of the others. we went on a golf night deal. 70 pound a night per room with unlimited golf and breakfast included. on arrival we got a voucher for money off wine at the meal aswell. the rooms were really nice with a massive bed. the breakfast was fantastic. lots of choice, buffet style, so you can get as much as you like. we also stayed in one night and had the evening meal it was a set price, maybe 15 pound each, but again a hot buffet style, lovely food.

Yelp
A lovely hotel with golf course on the outskirts of Wrexham. The place is ver high class with excellent restaurant. It is possible to either stay in the main hotel or there are private suites in the extensive grounds which also has a fishing lake. The hotel is an excellent venue for weddings or christenings as it holds a civil ceremony licence. The staff are extremely helpful but the hotel is of a standard where you expect the best possible stay for your money. This is a great hotel for a weekend away or to celebrate a special occasion with four poster rooms with jacuzzi available. There is an excellent spa here offering everything you could dream of too.

Yelp
bit tiredprobably great in its day..bit needs a serious refurb..esp the business suites and corporate facilities.. recommend they mystery shop themselveswhilst the staff are courteous, there is little genuine warmth which tells you how the brand operates.. it could be so much better with a few but important touches. shame
