Had the lobster supper, everything was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The view from the outside deck was wonderful. Thanks for a great evening

Lobster was ok-slightly overcooked. The five courses they offer is really acting as a filling and aren't that unique or that tasty. Mussels were good but nothing more. Salad dressing was watery and dessert was dry (sticky pudding). All in all over priced for what it is. Next time i will get my own cooled lobster from the wharf.

We both ordered the 5 course lobster supper. It was decent but nothing to write home about. The chowder did not have any flavors. The side salad was small and uninspiring. The bucket of mussels was decent but the meat in the smaller side. Drawn butter tasted a bit funny. The lobsters were nicely cooked and good sized. Dessert was good. Service was excellent. We sat outside and looked over the water.

This is a must visit place. It was so honoring to be served by John. He was so friendly and helpful. I loved their clam chowder...mussels and lobster!!! I will 100% encourage anyone who visits PEI to visit Cardigan - call for hours of operation I believe its 4pm tp 9pm...enjoy!

Wonderful staff made us feel like family. The seafood was fresh but prepared without any seasoning. The mussels for example were just steamed in their own juice. Not even any diced onions for flavour. The decor has not been updated in 20 or more years. The washrooms were clean but very dated.

The scallops were like Captain Highliner frozen from a box. Definitely not seared scallops!! The muscles were OK, small, nothing to brag about The strawberry shortcake was jam on top of what seem to be angel food cake The only thing that was great was the server. She’s wasted talent in that place. She’d make better tips at a different near by restaurant 🤷‍♂️ Definitely not a PEI traditional lobster house

Wonderful patio overlooking the water, amazing service and delicious food. We’ll be back!

Got the lobster 5 course. The chowder tasted off, the salad tasted frozen and cheap. The mussels and lobster were actually very good, and the dessert felt soggy and old. The atmosphere felt like an old building that got paint slapped on, some carpet and old event chairs. Skip the course meal and just get the seafood and enjoy it for what it is. Service was friendly and accommodating

Yelp
We enjoyed a very good lobster supper at Cardigan Lobster Suppers, which is located in Eastern PEI in a quiet location near the banks of the Cardigan River. Cardigan Lobster Suppers is open seasonally during the warmer months and tourist season from 5PM to 9PM daily serving up their 5-Course Lobster Suppers, as well as other dishes (3 courses). Senior and youth portions (half size) are available for some entrees including the 5-Course Lobster Supper. We stopped by Cardigan Lobster Suppers on the way back from visiting East Point. Initially, we checked out and stopped by other lobster suppers earlier in the day including Fisherman's Wharf in North Rustico, but mutually decided to stop here since it was conveniently located along our route back west and we driving through Cardigan by 6:15 PM. The place was not that busy since it was towards the end of the season. They have a good sized indoor dining room (old style building atmosphere) and also an outside wooden patio in the back overlooking the Cardigan Harbour. We decided to take a seat outside since it was nice outside and no one was eating in the dining room. I already knew what I was going to order, which was the 5-Course Lobster Supper ($38.95 plus taxes), but my friend wanted to try the Scallops for dinner. However, they had no more scallops, so my friend decided to order the Half Size Lobster Supper ($25.95 plus taxes), which also comes with 5-Courses, but only 3/4 lb Lobster instead of the 1-1/4 lb Lobster. Coffee or tea is included in the price pf the supper. Course 1: Seafood Chowder (all you can eat): This chowder was creamy and not too rich and had celery, fish, baby shrimp, and mussels, sprinkled with paprika. We were also given a basket pf hot rolls with butter. I really enjoyed this seafood chowder and I asked for two more bowls through the course of supper. Course 2: Garden Side Salads: These fresh salads came with choice of homemade dressings and we enjoyed Mango Jalapeño and Raspberry Vinaigrette dressings on the salads. Course 3: Mussels: I was given a big bowl of PEI mussels (counted 32 mussels) and my friend was given half the amount of mussels. The mussels were cooked just right, little broth in the bowl. Course 4: Lobster: I was given a full lobster, which was strategically cut in certain locations for easy breaking (I still needed a lobster cracker). My friend was given a half lobster, cut up the middle, tamales already removed. The lobsters were served with melted butter and side plates with a boiled PEI potato, 1/3 corn on the cob, and long sliced carrots. Course 5: Desserts: Two dessert choices were offered including a Fudge Nut Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream and a Blueberry Shortcake, so we decided to get one of each to share. The brownie was really good which was not to rich and had crunchy walnuts baked in and the vanilla ice cream was cold and light topped with chocolate syrup. The blueberry shortcake consisted of a soft piece of pound cake topped with fresh blueberries/sauce and cool whip. Overall, the food we had was very good and tasty (all courses). The dining atmosphere outside was very quiet and serene overlooking the Cardigan Harbour, but there was a tree blocking much of the view. There were also a few older older couples also having supper outside and the best part was, there were no screaming kids here during our supper. However, since we were dining outside, the flies became attracted to the food on the table, which we had to shoo-away/swat (this could also happen in my backyard too). The service was very good, as our waitress served our courses in a staged and timely order including refills on the seafood chowder and coffees. We left here very full and very content with the PEI lobster supper.

Yelp
2.5 on very slow service, food came too slowly over a course of 2 hours for 4 meals. We were sat in the pub area with no air conditioning and poor ventilation. Dripping sweat the entire time. The chairs could use some cleaning. Very greasy on touch. In terms of food, 4 stars. The clam chowder was amazing. The lobsters were good size. The muscles was okay. The salad with their special house made dressing was a refreshing touch. I'd say overall the food was decent but the ventilation needs improvement.

Yelp
In a word, marginal. The seafood chowder was good although we were only served one bowl, and the lobster was cooked well, not hard and over cooked. The mussels were small and tasted like the only spice used was salt, the salad was wilted, and the ice cream used for dessert was almost ice milk. If this were all then I would give 3 stars, but the service was terrible. Dinner took over 2 and a half hours, and we arrived early shortly after 5 so it's not like it was the height of the rush. One of our party had trouble opening their lobster claw; the waitress promised to come back and take care of it but never did, another person (the owner?) made a joke of pretending to take it into his mouth to crack it, then left without fixing the issue. There were 20 minute lulls between courses, and the dessert was brought without spoons, after 3 minutes with toddlers getting upset one of us had to go ask for spoons. At $50 a person this really was not worth the price, I would go elsewhere for lobster.

Yelp
Lobster and mussels were excellent. Sole was a huge serving and great. We loved it here. Pressers was great. Janice looked after us and she was wonderful. Mosquitoes can get pesty if you eat too late. We loved it all.

Yelp
The five mark is likely excessive, but this place is to me the most authentic and serves the best and most joyful lobster dinner on the CB-PEI culinary trail! The 5 course lobster dinner is a must. All you can eat Chowder! 1 lbs fresh mussel! good lobster and a dessert! (forget the salad, just there for the fun). Nothing very original or top notch in creativity or execution, but so authentic and good! Service is very nice, place has a really local spirit...I would go back tomorrow!

Yelp
We had the 5 course lobster dinner. 1. Clam Chowder was really good and it's all you can eat. 2. Salad was ok. 3. Mussels were good but we had fresher better smelling mussels at other places in NS and PEI. 4. Lobster was also average. 5. For desert we tried the blueberry shortcake and the chocolate fudge. These were below average. My rating is based on the comparison with the lobster dinner we had in Baddeck NS. It was way better than the dinner we had here. On the other hand I would recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a lobster dinner experience in Eastern PEI.

Yelp
The service was amazing, the food was delicious and there was tons of it. We had the full lobster dinner (5 course). You get chowder, a plate of mussels, a huge lobster and a dessert for $39. The view of the lake is lovely though we didn't get a window seat, it didn't reduce the wxperience at all. I loved it and I'm going back next trip. Also, it's reasonably accessible (walker) but a wheelchair might have to be lifted and the washroom has a step.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our evening here. Friendly, casual, authentic ambience. Server was so friendly. We did the full lobster supper: chowder with homemade rolls (great), salad (good), mussels (great), lobster (out of this world!) and dessert (good). If you're on holiday and PEI and looking for an authentic experience this is the place.

Yelp
Save your money. The food was prepared in advance - some of the lettuce leaves in the salad were still a bit frozen. The lobster was tough. The baked potato and corn were overlooked and tasteless. The only redeeming thing about this $45 meal was the rhubarb crisp.

Yelp
Food was only ok. Was kind of disappointed with the service too. We had a large group and it seemed as tho they'd never had a big group in before. Only 3 options off the menu for us and food came very spread out. Scallops first, thenPotatoes, with no condiments, 10 min later came the lobsters. Then the sour cream for potatoes came after someone asked but most of us were done our potatoes by then. Scallops were battered which was disappointing (and no mentioned and my hubby is allergic so we had to switch meals)..... anyway, maybe it would be better with a small group of people, but there are many better places to eat within a reasonable drive.

Yelp
This is a terrific lobster house in the grand tradition. Whoever runs the kitchen here is a true pro -- every dish our party of six ordered was cooked to perfection. Mussels, lobster, sole, shrimp, literally everything was delicious -- even the baked potato and corn on the cob sides were perfectly prepared. The servers are also outstanding -- personable and professional. Our server (I think her name was Jacinta) was the absolute best ever. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.
