This is a good restaurant offering a variety of high-quality dishes, including pizza, pasta, and antipasti. Parking in the area can be challenging. It is conveniently located next to the University of the West of Scotland.menus. The prices are reasonable, and they also offer two- and three-course menu options.

Absolutely fantastic meal, never been here before but the staff (both in the restaurant and kitchen) were great. Our food (minestrone soup, garlic prawns, chicken, salmon, tiramisu and ice cream with homemade tablet) was outstanding. Absolutely delicious and faultless. We will definitely be back soon! Thank you so much.

It is one of the best restaurants in Paisley, which has just been beautifully refurbished. Always great food and service.

We popped in without a booking on a Sunday night after a long drive and were met with such fantastic service. Our waiter Blair was soo friendly, made some great recommendations and made us laugh a lot! The frito misto was a great starter, huge fresh bits of fresh and a delicious garlic and parsley sauce. We also ordered the asparagus with pancetta which was so nicely done with another great sauce. The fresh pasta dishes were phenomenal! Between our table we ordered the slow cooked beef and tuscan sausage ragu which had so much tender meat and a delicious rich sauce, the rigatoni sinatra (crumbled italian sausages with loads of roasted peppers and chilli in a tomato sauce) and the fettuccine pollo piccante which was my favourite. This was spicy chicken in a creamy parmesan sauce with a right kick of chilli! For a complete accidental find we had such a great meal and would definitely come back if we were travelling down to Glasgow from the Highlands again!

Nice early evening meal. Went to old favourite in Paisley. Given early evening menu which is set price for 2/3 course. Food arrives quickly, is hot, seasoned correctly and as described. Meats cooked perfectly, generous portions although salad undressed. Drinks are varied and wine menu has nice classical Italian varieties. House wines (by glass) are really good and priced well. Staff friendly and patient with kids. Surroundings well presented and clean and peak in open kitchen showed a very clean and organised area. Will be back as always

We have been coming here for years, so it pains me to say, this meal wasn't the best. My husband's beef shin meal was cold when it arrived and my chicken parmigiana was not cooked enough. (raw) The tomato sauce on my pasta did not seem fresh as it was a strange bright red colour. Overall not up to Cardosi's usual standards.

Had a lovely family dinner for 8 of us, service was impeccable and the food was served in good time despite the restaurant being at near capacity. Lovely menu and very tasty

Had a fantastic meal here at the end of my trip, we skipped lunch and ordered every course, drink and dessert we wanted (went all out) and still ended up spending little! Delicious food from start to finish, couldn't get enough of the lemonade!

Yelp
Fabulous restaurant. Our server was delightful, the meals delicious and it was the perfect dinner after a long day of travel. I would recommend to anyone coming to Glasgow.

Yelp
People always say you'll have to book in advance for a table at Cardosi's and its reputation and popularity become clear after one visit (perhaps even as soon as the scents from the kitchen first hit you). Having visited the restaurant for years, celebrating all manner of things with my family, I can honestly say I consider it to be Paisley's best restaurant. The staff are attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and they make each experience - always a culinary delight - truly excellent. American and Italian influences are married beautifully; the latter being (thankfully) far more prominent leaving the former as an interesting accent. The resultant atmosphere is inviting, warm, relaxed and a pleasure to dine in. The lighting in the back is perfect and really makes Cardosi's a great place for a special occasion whilst the booths are somewhat secluded and provide for an intimate retreat in which to enjoy an afternoon or evening with good company. The menu has developed over the years but some signature dishes remain popular with my family; the simple Penne Alfredo is pasta perfection and the goats' cheese bruschetta (one of the four or so bruschettas offered) is divine. Presentation is thoughtful and consistent no matter which service you're enjoying; this is a testament to the kitchen staff as dinner can be exceptionally busy. Value is excellent, especially at lunchtime when two courses can be had for £9.50. Evening and pre-theatre are very well priced and do not overly restrict the diner. The à la carte options can be a little pricey but I have yet to be anything less than impressed by the choices therefrom. Recently there have been a couple of duck dishes on both the evening and à la carte menus which have been superbly executed. The Coppa Scozia, which raises the humble vanilla ice cream to dizzying gastronomic heights with the addition of crumbled Scottish tablet and hot caramel sauce, stands out from the dessert menu (but is equally matched by the rich and decadent cheesecake). Heralded by many as Paisley's go-to place for any special occasion, Cardosi's is unrivalled in the town and can hold its own against many of the reputable Glasgow restaurants. Whether you go for lunch or dinner, with a crowd or your significant other, you can be sure you'll be enjoying the very best that Paisley has to offer in quality dining.

Yelp
3 Courses for £11.95 and it's decent and in the heart of Paisley? Not only is this surprising, but it's almost unheard of. That said Cardosi's has been serving Italian grub in Paisley for years, so it is no surprise that they do it well. It isn't fine dining, but it's a great place for a working lunch. Clean fast and efficient.

Yelp
Nice Italian restaurant with a variety of dishes on their menu including three or four specials daily. I had artichoke ravioli with a creamy tomato sauce and a glass of Italian Sangeovasi. Both left me satisfied and smiling. I had been told by many people this is the best Italian restaurant in town. I have not been to another but I would not doubt the statement is true.

Yelp
Excellent efficient service from well-trained waiting staff and a very organised kitchen. Good quality food, including veggie option daily special, representing good value for money. A wee gem. Remember to book a table a week in advance, as increasing popular. Ideal for special and casual dining. One small thing is there is no draft beer, only bottled italian and that is not everybody's cup of tea, err, I mean favourite beer.

Yelp
Soft spot for Cardosi's and every time I come here, the food and service are consistently good. Lunch deal is great - two courses for £9.50 and generous portions so come hungry. Great options too - pizza, pasta, burgers, fish, chicken dishes so something to suit all tastes. There are gluten free options too - if you booking, just mention you are gf so they can ensure they have everything in but usually gf bread, pasta and pizza is on offer. And, Cardosi's can cook gf pasta properly unlike some other places. Staff have been here for years so it is really a great neighbourhood restaurant which provides yummy food and service!

Yelp
Exquisite pizza and pasta! Everything was so fresh and yummy! I'm Italian and have eaten a lot of pasta and pizza and this was yummy!

Yelp
This is a great restaurant that puts Paisley on the map. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is great, the staff are lovely. All round this is one of the best restaurants in Paisley! Go on, give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
Would not say this restauant is overrated! normally always really busy and has a great atmosphere! Food is fab, not cheap but good value! Staff were very helpfull when i last visited. Love the wall decor aswell!

Yelp
Food was mediocre at best and service was appalling. Literally 20 minutes to get a jug of water on a Wednesday night, waiting an age on food too. I looked around and there were long periods of time of people sitting with no food in front of them. Then when the food finally did arrive, it didn't all come out together, leaving some of us sitting waiting while others had their food. Anti-pasti starters weren't great. Too many pickled things, even the olives were pickled instead of fresh, and they didn't have enough bowls so just put some of the 3 people's stuff in the one bowl. Steak was pretty bad. I asked for it medium rare, which it was for the most part, but it had an overwhelming acrid burnt taste which I could smell strongly before I even ate it. My wife could smell it across the table. Apart from the grill marks it wasn't actually charred, so maybe it was a dirty grill. The radiators were turned up full blast, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was 25° in there, it was pretty uncomfortable anyway. All in all we were there for more than 3 hours and it really wasn't worth the wait.

Yelp
We visit this restaurant quite often and are never disappointed. The choice of dishes is excellent and we always try something different. The seating arrangement affords privacy (if you want it) and yet has a cosy, uncramped feel. It is usually busy in the evenings and what we like is we usually meet some people we haven't seen for a while there and this adds to the enjoyment. The family who run this restaurant are friendly and attentive. What more could you ask for?

Qype User (maggio…)

Yelp
Excellent food at reasonable prices. So you always have to book in advance, that tells me it is a popular & quality restaurant. Ask yourself this: would you want to be the only table in a restaurant? No, cos that would mean it was rotten! The food is delighful with an excellent range on the menu, pleasant surroundings and the staff are lovely. They really couldn't do more for you. I would highly recomend this place.

Yelp
Paisley's hidden gem. Friendly and professional service. Going out for a meal with friends, family or your partner, this venue is perfect . Food always delicious. Service great. Never disappoints :-)

Yelp
A nice little Italian restaurant in the heart of Paisley. Offers a range of delicacies on the menu from lunch to a la carte to pre theatre. There is also a good selection on the wine list. Very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit!

Craig A.

Yelp
Lilly was brilliant. She was a phenomenal server. The food here was incredible. All of the staff were at the top of their game. Portion sizes were more than fair for the price.

Qype User (BillyB…)

Yelp
Highly over rated in my opinion. Food average and staff grumpy. Go to Raeburns for real quality!

Qype User (nicola…)

Yelp
Nice food but can be expensive, also you almost always have to book in advance

Qype User (drew…)

Yelp
Pleasant staff and really good food make Cardosis a great choice for a meal out. The pepper corn steak is my favourite. Can be busy so worth calling in advance.

Qype User (scotgi…)

Yelp
Lovely Italian food at reasonable prices. I have not found better in Paisley. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is plenty of tables but it does get bus so advisable to book in advance if you can. Reasonable priced wine list. Parking is on street but not too difficult.

Paul V.

Yelp
Had a wonderful meal. My wife had the bruschetta and it was the best we have ever had. My wife had the rigatoni and I had the salmon for mains. We finished with the homage cheesecake. The food and service were excellent !

Jodie S.

Yelp
Mediocre food, and no refund on stake which had to get sent back twice due to being severely undercooked. Overpriced for what we received. Only good point was the server, Louise. Hopefully she ends up somewhere where the food matches her quality service and patter.

Qype User (lushli…)

Yelp
Visited with a couple of friends one fairly local to this area who will only eat here! Friendly unfussy service, fantastic food and outstanding value. Definitely will return!

Yelp
About the best restaurant in Paisley. The staff have been there for ages and embarrass you with their Italian menu speaking skills. I think one of them fancies me.

Qype User (lauzbe…)

Yelp
I love cardosis! lovely meals and not to over prices, the staff are lovely aswell

Qype User (jingli…)

Yelp
Great Italian food in the centre of Paisley. Warm atmosphere, nicely decorated and they pushed the boat out with the gangster-themed photos in the gents! Foodwise, the chunky minestrone came with three types of bread, and the spicy pizza was excellent. Very good pre-theatre selection for the price, and we will be back soon for a family meal.

Qype User (daviem…)

Yelp
Good food with decent standard that you would expect in glasgow City centre however small and charming enough to make you feel welcome whenever you go...Steaks are a winner usually here.

Qype User (davidh…)

Yelp
Very good food for an above average but not shirt and tie required price.
