Lovely staff and Owner. Food is nice and not expensive. We booked the pool room and spent a fantastic time there. Painswick is a quiet and fabulous village. Definitely recommend a rococo gardens to visit, even wintertime.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Room felt warm and cosy. Restaurant was closed in the evening we stayed but this was not an issue at all as we planned to go into cheltenham for the afternoon which is only a 25 mins drive. Breakfast was average. Would not recommend the sausages. Wife had the cheese omelette which was really nice. Parking is a totally nightmare in town as the roads are very narrow and hilly. We would recommend parking on the road next to the church or even parking in Stamages Lane Car Park which is 5 mins walk and a pay and display car park but is free on Sundays.

Quirky, unique guest house. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great breakfast and evening meals. Would definitely recommend. We are saving up for our next visit!

Never expected international fine cuisine in the Cotswolds. Excellent food in a cozy corner. Step outside for a romantic after dinner stroll. Phone ahead or pop in a day ahead especially in high times. Especially since there are few alternatives.

What a lovely little Gem of a Bistro we found, just how restaurants used to be, lacy table cloths real napkins not just paper ones, and a great atmosphere The lady who did the waitressing who along with the Chef are Rumanian, are lovely and so mindful that everything is perfect for you, even the chef came out into the restaurant to ask if everything was to our liking/ The Choice on the printed menu was adequate but onto was the specials board with a mouthwatering array of dishes so many we found it hard to make up our minds,, but because of this we will be back to try all the other tempting offers, Both my husband and I chose the steak which was cooked to perfection and served on a wooden platter with all the trimming and the chips were lovely none of this fancy cooked three times rubbish, just perfect chips, Congratulations to the owners they have the perfect little Gem in an otherwise very quiet village

What a special place! The attic room is gorgeous and quite spacious for the 4 of us. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We had dinner at the bistro and food was great. Breakfast portion was big. There're are small shops, pubs and restaurants nearby and is right across a beautiful church. Parking could be a bit tricky.

You need to know this hotel and bistro has no car park, there is not even a pavement around it or courtyard to unload etc !....Just double yellow lines all around it and on the other side of the road !.....The front door opens onto the busy road outside, total murder trying to unload when it's raining......decor is tired and a refurb and refit even in period style is long overdue. The menu caters for most popular taste and meals well prepared and presented, portion size was on the weight watchers side and could be bigger. The car parking issue was unexpected and ruined the experience, think twice if you have a large family group in more than one car, be prepared to walk 4 to 6 hundred yards to your car even if you were lucky enough to find somewhere to park !

Booked to stay in the pool room for 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised with how spacious the room actually was. The room is located round the back of the b&b giving it its own privacy which is a lovely added touch. We ate breakfast and dinner here when staying and have to say that the food and staff could not be faulted. The only thing which could be faulted was the fact that wifi could not be used within our room as it was located in the main lounge.

Yelp
This cutesy Bistro had the white tablecloth and real roses charm in a family run corner shop. The service was excellent despite being short staffed. The food options for vegetarians were above average but the quality of the pasta only average. There were a variety of items to tempt you on the dessert menu and what the table chose was all yummy.

Yelp
A friendly and charming Bistro style restaurant in the picturesque village of Painswick. Standard bistro fare done to a reasonable standard. Steaks, fish and game, with some HUngarian specials such as Hungarian sausages reflecting the ethnic origins of the owners. I've eaten here several times and it is always consistent and pitched right. Not been disappointed so far and I would always be happy to go back. Reasonably priced and quite a good wine list, as well. They do have B&B here but I've not seen the rooms. Open every day except Monday for lunchl.

Yelp
This charming restaurant had a great menu featuring a wide variety of entrees to suit many cravings. Our party of four dined here twice in a week and we were all delighted with our choices. Tonight we had the beef stroganoff, clams, and ribeye steak. All came with chips. The wine list was varied enough and served good coffee. The desserts have been absolutely delicious as well; having tried the berry pavlova, apple crumb with ice cream and a toffee dessert. We will miss this lovely dining treasure and hope you'll enjoy it as much as we did!

Yelp
This charming Bistro was so cute and quaint. We were walking around painswick looking for a place to eat and we're so happy we stumbled across this place. Such a great vibe and the two man team that ran this place was extraordinary! The menu was large with a great selection of specials. Everything we are was scrumptious! I had the halibut with lemon caper sauce and the husband had the pork tenderloin with apricot cream sauce. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better we ended the night with two yummy desserts. The chocolate fudge cake and the banofee pie, of which my husband only let me have one bite because it was so good. Thanks for an incredible dinner!
