Caribbea Bay Hotel

My family enjoyed our stay at the resort. The rooms have been modernised to a high standard including the bathrooms. The staff were always on hand to assist us with our requirements. The breakfast was amazing and bountiful. Will always remember the place with a lot of nostalgia...

Despite the heat outside, the rooms are cool. Great views from the hotel garden. They should come up with a good plan to deal with mosquito in the rooms.

Good to see the supa tube is still running. I would suggest build a toilet close by and a bar. I felt sorry for the waiters walking all that way. Ordering our food did take a while (over an hour) and there was no excuse as the hotel was not busy at all.

The two large swimming pools were a definite plus — perfect for lounging with a drink in hand, and the kids’ pool ensured families had their share of fun too. The poolside ambiance, combined with the lush surroundings, created an ideal spot for unwinding. One of my favorite moments was dining at the terrace restaurant. The blend of local flavors and international cuisine, paired with panoramic views of the lake, was simply unforgettable. Every meal felt like a celebration of taste and scenery. Beyond the relaxation, the resort offers so much to do! I loved the beach volleyball and the supertube waterslide, which added a playful energy to the otherwise tranquil atmosphere. For the history buff in me, learning about the local Tonga culture and the legend of Nyaminyami during the Kariba Dam tour was fascinating. The Mediterranean-inspired architecture gave the resort a distinct charm, making me feel like I’d stepped into another world. The attention to detail in the rooms and public spaces showcased the resort’s commitment to luxury and comfort. Getting to the resort was easy and stress-free. It’s just a 3.5-hour drive from Harare or a short trip from Kariba Airport, making it incredibly accessible for both local and international travelers. Caribbea Bay Resort is a perfect blend of adventure, luxury, and natural beauty. Whether you're traveling with family, your significant other, or even solo, this lakeside gem has something for everyone. My stay here was nothing short of exceptional, and I can’t wait to return!

The reception was great. The rooms were spot on. The team was always willing to offer help. The Chefs were spot on. The waiters were great. The reception from the guards on entry was splendid

When you think your stuff is safe in the room, it's not. House keeping stole a substantial amount of money from my bag and they didn't do anything tangible about that issue. Only rated 1 because there is nothing below that. Worst experiance ever .

Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent scence. More recreational activities have to be ||made available. The rooms need more supplementary items like toothpaste, nair brush ..., the staff needs to be flexible enough to use their shona/ ndebele dialogue as it appears english was the speaking norm. The professionalism was exceptional. Overall its an excellent resort area

The buildings are fairly old and i feel there is need of an overhall of the structures. The location is fairly alright given its proximity and full views of the lake. ||||Increase number of days when you save traditional food.||
