The Caribbean House Bed & Breakfast was a fantastic last-minute find during our stay in Key West. We were able to book at a great rate, and the experience far exceeded expectations. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, and the home itself is charming and very well-maintained.
The rooms are definitely on the small side, but they’re upfront about that, and they’ve done a great job maximizing the space. Our second-floor room was cozy and comfortable, and we especially loved the small outdoor table just outside our door where we could enjoy breakfast in the morning breeze.
One of the highlights was the customizable breakfast basket each day. We got to choose from fresh fruit, yogurt, Danish, bagels, English muffins, and a variety of drinks, all brought together with complimentary mimosas during breakfast hours. There’s also an honor-system fridge stocked with drinks available 24/7, which was a really thoughtful touch.
Parking is limited to just four on-site spots for $25/night, and in hindsight, I wish I had reserved one. I parked a block away and ended up getting towed, even though there were no visible signs marking the area as restricted. Just a heads-up: Key West parking enforcement can be overly aggressive, so it’s worth playing it safe.
Special shoutout to Aleks, who runs the place. She’s awesome, incredibly friendly, helpful, and just fun to talk with. Her warmth and attention really added to the experience.
Overall, Caribbean House is a hidden gem. Between the location (perfect for exploring Old Town), the hospitality, and the value, we highly recommend staying here.
