Caribbean Villas Hotel

The ocean view from my balcony was spectacular. Bed comfy and clean. I walked along the beach everyday and it felt totally safe. The location was ideal for everything- fairly close to airstrip and only a five minute walk to the ferry point to Caye Caulker and Belize City. There was a massage cabana right on the pier from which some dive and boat tours can pick you up.

I was so glad I eventually booked this hotel on Expedia. It was exactly what I was looking for . Right on the beach, 2 small pools. Tidy grounds and clean comfortable rooms. I think the staff made this stay for me. From check- in to check out.|At the bar & Restaurant Iris, Monika & Danny took good care of us. LeRoi booked a snorkel trip to the reef & swimming with the sharks where they picked my son and I up right on the hotel dock. I will definitely be returning .

We just stayed 10 nights at Caribbean Villas. It was great! They have 2 floor villas or regular rooms. The staff were amazing! AnnaFred at reception is so wonderful! Mr. Jerry was so amazing with getting our luggage to and from our rooms. The Beach Bar & Grill is fun. Glen, Daniel, Yanni, Monica are all great bartenders and servers! They became friends I will forever remember!! Leroy had great suggestions of excursions. The guys who were cleaning the sargassum from the beach did an amazing job! Housekeeping comes every other day (unless you want them more) and has our sheets changed and room clean. The location is great for the south side of the island. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay. Also, no problem with WiFi. My boyfriend had to work some while we were there and never had connectivity issues. I can’t wait to go back!!! The only unfortunate thing I witnessed was the manager of the property was very rude to the employees. I witnessed two separate occasions where she was reprimanding employees right in from of me, a guest! It was uncomfortable and very unprofessional! Every person who works there, that I witnessed, work there butts off and don’t deserve to be treated that way! I hope she sees this and changes her management style. She has an office to take employees to if she needs to speak to them about their performance.

The rooms and facilities are old. Rooms are musty smelling. I had 3 roaches in my room. Drinks are expensive. Food is good if you are okay with "bar food." The pool deck was falling apart. Pool needs resurfacing. Super old looking. Lounge chairs are beat up and old. The cost to vacation here does not equate to the value.

It is right by the spacious and relaxing beach front. Breakfast was great. It was a nice place with pleasant and helpful staff. However the fourth floor room 4D had no view even though the reservation stated a nice ocean view because the coconut trees completely blocked the view. Getting a room either the 1st or the 2nd floor would have open views.

I don't even feel comfortable giving them one star; this place has the worst customer service, starting from the receptionist and ending with the manager. I booked a room from Feb. 13th to Feb. 17th. We got in late, and the office was closed. We found the security guard, and he let us in to a room (we thought that he had given us whatever room was available or he had keys to), so we were like, Ok, we'll go straight things out in the morning. When I go to the office the next day, I greet the receptionist and tell her my name, also that we got in late, and that the room we got is not it. She didn't even reply to my greeting; instead, she said, "What did you expect for $140 a night?" I was shocked that this girl was talking to me that way and looking at me with an attitude. When I asked to speak to the manager, she told me she wasn't in, and when we came back, to my surprise, the manager was way worse than the girl... As soon as I told her my name, she said, "I was just on the phone with Expedia, and they will help you find another place," so I was like, Excuse me, and you did all that without even hearing my side of the story. I am your customer and paying for your service, and her reply was, Yes, I am not going to argue with you; I just need you out of here." and I was like I wasn't arguing with the girl, the way she responded to me set the whole mood, how did you expect me to react after her talking to me the way she did? My friend tried to work things out with her, even showing her the pictures of the condition the room is in, and still she did not care. Anyways, I felt the need to share this experience on here… I never leave bad reviews because I feel sorry for people if they end up losing their jobs, but this lady had no remorse or sympathy to leave me stranded on my first visit to this country. I have been traveling for a few years now, and I know that sometimes what the booking pictures represent is not 100% accurate, but there is no way I will willingly make a reservation for a moldy room and a beat up bed while on vacation.

Carribean Villas was the perfect balance for us between luxury and budget. The Villas are right on the beach, walking distance to town, and very comfortable. The Restaurant/bar sits right on the beach, the food was delicious. The staff were fantastic and a pleasure to spend time around.

Super cozy rooms with a really great view of the ocean. This particular hotel is right on the beach which is perfect. The beds are comfy and the staff were super helpful, professional and friendly. Rooms come with a fridge and there are 2 pools in the property.
