I did not enjoyed the first night in the hotel due to insects in the room, but next morning when I talked with management, it made all the difference in the world because they were so kind and professional with our group.||||Courtesy, empathy and professionalism goes a long way when we get service and manager Deyver really made our experience in the hotel so special that there is no other hotel in the area that we would visit. I will definitely keep coming back to Cariblue Resort.

I mean for $60 I expected a lot more but that is based of what $60 in the United States would get you. There were 2 staff members at check in. No real formal process just sign a form and get a key. After that I was helped to my room which was so hot/ humid it was almost unbearable. The A/C wasn’t the best so they had it cranked, with the ceiling fan going and we had to leave the patio door open. The room was in poor shape, very run down looking like the rest of the hotel. The bathroom floor was dirty and had a dirty floor mat. The toilet tank lid wasn’t on all the way. The cabinets were all beat up. But at least the bed sheets were clean and no bed bugs from my inspection. Bathroom only came with two big dry off towels. What went wrong…. Water didn’t work most of the first day I was there. Which sucks after coming off a long flight into the hot island weather you just want to shower and change. The internet also didn’t work so after a couple hours the manager reset it and got it working. The TV didn’t work at all. Rough couple hours to start my stay with a 3 year old, no working water, no fridge (unplugged) and it’s hot in the room. There is a restaurant next to the hotel and a small local convenience store for snacks and toiletries. The staff were nice but the hotel is just run down. It was good for my one night before I stayed at the Hilton when the rest of the family got in. But beyond that I wouldn’t stay. Nice view though. I took a taxi from this hotel to the Hilton an 8 minute drive and he charged me $40 USD. So very high priced in my opinion. Thank you Patrick for the hospitality.

Stay away from this place. False advertising, a scam, a bootlegged operation, and not permitted by the Jamaica Tourism Board to operate. Several platforms that promote this dump should remove it from their website. My worst hotel experience ever. Reserved 1/2/24 and 1/3/24 but could not stay. I arrived at 7:30p to an unlit and closed reception area; there was no one to check me in, and I could not get a hold of management. The place was short of desolate had it not been for a watchman and a cat. The watchman took me along a dark alley to a room. The room was moldy, musty, and smelly. It did not appear the bedding had been changed for some time. I asked for a different room. That room was no different. I left for another hotel. I returned the following day to complain to management and request a refund. The manager and owner, Roy Watkins, was not customer-friendly and behaved as though he did not understand the issue. He did not offer a refund. I filed a complaint with my credit card issuer and with Expedia. I am still waiting for my refund.

This is a scam, a bootlegged operation, and not permitted by the Jamaica Tourism Board to operate. Expedia must take it down from its site. I reserved 1/2/24 and 1/3/24 but did not stay because of the filth I arrived at 7:30 p.m. to an unlit reception area, short of being desolate, had it not been for a watchman and a cat guarding the place. There was no hotel clerk for check-in. The watchman took me to a room down a dark hallway they had assigned for me. The room was moldy, musty, and smelly. It did not appear that the bedding had been changed for some time; it looked dingy. I asked for a different room. That room was no different. I left for another hotel. I returned the following day to ask for my refund. The manager and owner, Roy Watkins, was not customer-friendly and behaved as though he did not understand the issue. He did not offer a refund or any solution to the problem. I had to file a fraud claim with my card company and a complaint with Expedia. I am still waiting for the investigation's completion. This is a dirty and terrible place.

Stayed here because of a missed flight and it's very close to the airport. Cab is $15-$20 USD. The rooms are extremely basic and some furniture looked like it was falling apart. Most photos online are outdated so take them with a grain of salt but the staff at the desk were very helpful and there are food options close by. Only stayed here 1 night and it was cheap and cheerful.

This place was like looking at a horror movie! We were in shock that the pictures on the internet were waaayyy off! We left after the first night and didn't ask for our money because it appears that the hotel could really use it. So we decided to use this as charity. Don't waste your time or money. The one good thing about this place is the housekeeper named Diane. The day we arrived, she took all of our luggage to our room. She was very slim and had to walk up a large flight of stairs. There was no man to help her. The owner should be ashamed of himself.

I know I rated it very low and I did not pay much. The pool is actually a nice pool. But the place is a bit run. The pictures are probably from 50 years ago.
