Google
This private club and restaurant is adorable and a wonderful find in Aspen - very popular with local crowd which is always a good sign. The food and service is impeccable. The menu is very creative. The wine list is extensive. This is an absolute treat! Try their sushi rolls and any of the fish dishes - there was also lamb, steak and so many other wonderful options to choose from it has a great vibe - honestly, one of the best experiences in Aspen.

I had an amazing sinner here my last night in Aspen. I love the dim light vibe. The food was amazing. The drinks were all very well paired with our meal as per our servers suggestions.i recommend the Caribou Club.

We brought clients recently to the Caribou Club. We had a great experience; the food was terrific, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed the DJ after dinner; fun was had by all.

Didn't eat here. Bartender wasn't awesome but the bouncers and front staff were fantastic. I just loved the atmosphere in here and the music selection was amazing.

Google
Tasty food with great service and a very knowledgeable sommelier. The best part is the comfortable ambiance in this hideaway under Aspen. They make you feel very welcome here. Go for a drink and dinner if you can get in.

Google
As with all private clubs, the vibe is intimate and high service. We had a private room and the dinner was wonderful. Not the best of best food but still interesting and well executed. We loved the drink pours and the random music and crowd after the party was fun. If you can get in do try to make an effort to go.

Yelp
If you know you know ,if you dont , you don't belong ...this place has been rocking our world for the 10 years we've been living in Aspen

Yelp
We had a killer time at the Caribou Club! This place rocks and I really love it! It was like being back at St. Tropez at Les Caves du Roi. The Caribou Club opened its doors in 1990 as Aspen's first members-only club, offering fine dining, an impressive wine list, bar and nightclub. The cuisine is elegant, sophisticated yet approachable. The staff was impressive with a great and friendly sommelier who made you feel at home with old friends! They have a great focus and attention to details to ensure a classy and feutre experience. The food was absolutely fantastic with one of the best rack of lamb I ever had. Their heavy load garlic cheese bread is a local fav! The line to get in was long and you need to be invited by a member. Then magically the tables are removed and the place transformed into a magical night club where old friends can rock the casbah with a beautiful cowboy/cowgirl crowd! What a cool place! I had the best time at the Caribou! We will be back!!!

Anita Z.

Yelp
Wonderful place, friend's family took me here for a dinner. Perfect night, they have foodies pick from all over the world, great variety of food and wine; surprised to see a pretty extensive tea selection. We had silver needles jasmine

Yelp
Amazing food and service from the there was one great server David Smallwood he was so kind and he made such good service for me and my family

David P.

Yelp
Decided to come here after dinner with a party of 15. First thing...wore my jacket in cause it's freezing in Dec and was greeted by the general manager, billy or whatever his name was, no coats allowed! Then I politely said that I was cold and was returned with a "if you don't like it you can go somewhere else". Power trip much? I heard him make that comment at least 10 times about various things in my one and only drink there before leaving. Horrible pretend to be upscale experience.

Mary S.

Yelp
Our second time in Aspen. We tried all the go to places to dine and this was tops. Lovely attentive service, and fantastic meal. All of it near perfection. Thank you to the Caribou Club for a wonderful evening.

Anna W.

Yelp
We visited Caribou Club for dinner after a long day of skiing and we all absolutely loved the dishes. They have a really comfortable area to enjoy drinks and socializing. I had the evenings special which was superb paired with a merlot.

Alan L.

Yelp
First things First.....it was snowing ,so I had on a jacket and a beanie, and the first thing you are told as you walk in the front door...welcome to caribou club...I need your coats....club policy.... you must coat-check to get in.... We proceeded to go inside as I was told "sir take your beanie off!!!!"I found that annoying and alil Standoff-ish Due to the freezing weather...... I see why people wrote bad reviews about that...... but that's where I was wrong, It's a exclusive members only club.....people pay a lot of money for the membership.... so patrons should respect club rules.......now....entering the doors really helps makes you understand.......... What a beautiful establishment, and a very wonderful staff, from the moment you walk-in , you get coat check in, and seated promptly(if you go early)the atmosphere gives you the classic rustic feel, and very classy ......... From the server, to the wine guy, very professional and knowledgeable....The recommended Russian River Pinot noir was just OK, but the pairing of the sweet wine with the foie gras was phenomenal , They have one of the biggest and best wine cellars I've ever seen, And I'm a big wine guy..(no I don't have a drinking problem, I just luv drinking ).... Onto the foods.....from the chessy garlic bread (yum) to the one bite crab salad (so good)...the foie gras was a tad too sweet, the baked scallops was great, as was the fried mixed seafood , I liked the baked oysters better, the bigeye tuna was phenomenal, as was the giant prawn, The halibut was exquisite.....the rack of lamb was delicious, but my favorite had to be the seared scallops (yummmmmm)......as for all the deserts was phenomenal and I'm not really a sweets fan, but the blood orange sorbet?!?!so yummy!!!!!!! I would go back just for that!!! Overall first time experience was phenomenal if I have a chance I would definitely be back!!!!

Yelp
The Caribou Club is a members only club in Aspen. The vibe is perfection, the service is literally white glove & the food is phenomenal. The garlic cheese bread is what dreams are made of. The tuna crudo was so tasty. It was unlike anything we had ever tried and was presented super cute. We also ordered the halibut Bangkok and the black angus filet. Both incredible with a ton of flavor. The halibut had the perfect amount of spice. The club itself is stunning. The art is immaculate and the service is probably the best I have very experienced. It was our first time visiting and they knew exactly who we were and made us feel like we were old friends! Absolutely loved this experience and we will be back

Ben H.

Yelp
It's hard to imagine any yelper giving anything but a ***** review at Caribou club. The restaurant and service is unreal. It is Aspen's MOST exclusive club and it's not even close. I ordered the Sea bass which apparently is a new menu item. The flavor was unique and rich but ultimately amazing. What an incredible experience. Thankful for a great evening.

Tony T.

Yelp
This place has it going on. One of the best martinis that I've ever had! Had to get 2 more before I left. My group and I had the filet, antelope loin, and the lamb chops. The lamb chops were my favorite, hands down. Perfectly cooked and tender. The service was outstanding, and I can't wait until the next time I get to come back!

Princess P.

Yelp
Not surprised with their rate! The host is such a stupid ass Bi...!! After spending 400$ at the bar I went upstairs to grab my lil coat because it was very cold in the sitting area. When I went back in she told me I could not go in with my coat and the way she said it was with such an ugly attitude. I asked to wak in to say bye to my friends and sat with them for a min. she came after me asking me to leave in front of everybody (1am on a Tuesday night, we were the only people at the club‍‍) They were closing 5 min later.. where is your commonsense what a stupid woman to higher for such a place. After 2nd time there I thought about getting the membership for the time I come out to Aspen but that was my last visit

Jeffrey B.

Yelp
Aspen's premiere members-only Club which remains a fixture of the jet-set calendar. A fun environment combining a dining room, dance space and bar / lounge. Alongside from Annabelle's in London and Castelle's in Paris this is one of the few remaining fun places to meet and party with interesting people from around the world. If you are going to spend significant time in Aspen become or befriend a member as a matter of priority.

Jen R.

Yelp
Went there for dinner on a Friday evening. The food was subpar. Forget the cost, the food was not good, simply not worth paying for. I see why they push you to have a ton of pre-dinner drinks now. I expected more from this is "world class restaurant." Also, this is not a classy establishment. There was a table of wearing t-shirts and hats, and 3 girls doing coke in the bathroom. The only reason I am leaving 2 stars is because of their wine list.

Kaitlin H.

Yelp
This place was insane... they aren't lying when they say it turns into a club at 11pm. I was so taken back. The food was pretty good - I've had much better fine dining before but this place is worth the price tag for the ambiance and experience. Don't know if I'll ever do it again, but I'm glad to have had the experience!

Outback J.

Yelp
Pretend upscale. They don't have enough $ to fix their insulation - the vents blow freezing cold air all night and when asked about it, host acknowledged the problem and stated that it should get better as the place fills up. You would think that 20k would get you basic warmth in the dead of winter. Also, we were told there was a "tomahawk steak" as a special, only to find out later that it was bison tomahawk. Maybe include that detail. Hate to leave bad reviews but this place was a big miss, catering to the easily duped.

Yelp
This is a members only club in Aspen that features a restaurant and bar and a fabulously mountain chic atmosphere. Memberships are expensive but they do offer a week-long membership over Christmas and New Years. If you have the money to spend, it is well worth it, as this is the best place in Aspen for a pre or post dinner drink and a bit of dancing. The space is very Ralph Lauren. Dark mahogany woods, plaid pillows and scenic art make you feel cozy and warm, even when it's 5 degrees outside. Antler chandeliers and navaho furniture are all part of the draw. The dinner menu features a variety of salads, soups, and proteins from fish to local meats. Coming to the Caribou is an experience and a very special one at that!

Ghoncheh E.

Yelp
We were invited here by a member we had met earlier in the day and we were not disappointed. Everything from the ambiance to the food and drinks were incredible. Dinner was great, the wine was great, and the service was awesome. We stayed after dinner and hung out by the fire place. It was super cozy and very relaxed.

R G.

Yelp
Loved the interior and ambiance! This place is great- if you don't take yourself too seriously. Our waitress was a little odd and pushy - making sure our table ordered dinner RIGHT AWAY. Other than that, I don't have any complaints!

Dominika L.

Yelp
Delicious meals, beautiful food preparations, excellent service and charming atmosphere.

Yelp
I went to the Caribou Club for a wedding. We had our own private room for dinner. The cocktail hour and dinner were really great. Excellent service, great food, I would give it 4 or 5 stars for this for sure! It got super weird around 11pm. The bride and groom had done their dances and then the dance floor filled up with a bunch of weirdos. Old rich men and way-too-young-for-said-old-guy girls. It was almost uncomfortable! The DJ played straight up techno and all these akward couples were grinding on each other. This really brought the rating down. I would never hang out here for fun. The wedding was great though! Would have been nice to have the place to ourselves a little longer before the Scenesters made an appearance.

Alan K.

Yelp
If you have 20K to spare yearly, this is the club for you. This is a members only club in the heart of Aspen. I thought the amenities were really nice in this club. The bathrooms utilized cloth towels, a sign that this club intends to cater to the elite. This club felt like I was in some private moose lodge. It was dimly lit with a lounge area where people can converse and a dance floor where people dance the night away. As a warning, no caps or hats allowed inside the club which means you need to check it in at the coat check. Also, coats are also not allowed. Anyhow, for what this club is, it was pretty fun although the drinks are quite hefty, but then, this is Aspen.

Jon B.

Yelp
Great place with cozy , cool atmosphere. The food is amazing ( the sliders are to die for) , service is great and it is a nice venue to have a private party as we had Weill certainly visit again!!

Alex A.

Yelp
Never a bad meal at this venerable Aspen institution. We dined late night last time and closed the place down but the service wasn't bothered as we felt quite bad but lost track of time. Decor is like a Connecticut country club meaning plush and comfy. Late night dancing is always great and the bar staff and DJ puts on a good show!

M B.

Yelp
I would like to have a lifetime supply of cheese bread! It's soooooo good. I wish they had better cocktail options. We had a great time!

Deborah B.

Yelp
You haven't had a full Aspen experience unless you find yourself at the "bou" for dinner and/or the late night party scene. While the late scene may be what makes them infamous, truly, the expertly crafted menu and the wine list, with great care taken by Oliver to select the best wines from around the world, is what always catches my attention and keeps me coming back. Note: This is a member's only club, so be prepared to be turned away at the door unless you have a member-connection or purchase a membership.

Yelp
My daughters boyfriend, Richard, asked me to sum up my experience at Caribou Club into one word, my response to him is: PRIMETIME (the regularly occurring time at which a television or radio audience is expected to be greatest, typically the hours between 8 and 11 p.m.). The whole experience was elite, 5-star, concierge, white glove service. It all started when I first walked in, you smell the burning of a wonderful candle that captures the smell of both barbecue and wood burning. You know what they say, scent is your strongest senses. Scientologists, psychologists and my four children's pediatrician all say that smells will bring back memories. This smell did just that to me. It brought me back to when I was in Boy Scouts. I was on a trip where all the boys and I were in Fairbanks, Alaska for a camping trip (minimum average temp -16.9). My dad, who at the time was an Eagle Scout and boy let me tell you he wore that badge with so much beautiful pride. The boys and I were so cold one evening and my friend, Anthony, had a great idea of lighting a fire with some extra toilet paper he had. My dad thought it was such a great idea this little fellow had and decided to cook us some baby back ribs under the stars. I had the rack of lamb and boy did that sense of taste bring me back to my ol granddaddy's farm where he would raise, kill and marinate lamb. My suggestion is to pair this rack back to a refreshing chocolate martini and you're in for the real treat.

Andrew B.

Yelp
Caribou Club. Yes. Fun. You need to have the right mindset to come here. What if I told you my really rich 50-year-old friend was going to get married in the middle of winter. You are invited to the reception at this weird hunting lodge, but unfortunately they didn't spring for an open bar. They know lots of famous people and you will probably see one. Would you go? Of course you would, you star-f**ker. You have to endure the fact that there are going to be some people eating, right next to other people on an awkward disco dance floor, next to a brightly lit room where everybody is constantly scanning for somebody famous. If you are black, prepare to be mobbed, because it's safe to assume that you're famous. I went, and I saw a certain famous person. Her name starts with a "p" and rhymes with harrishilton. Worth it!

Ryan H.

Yelp
First of all, this is a members' only club. i don't understand why people write hasty reviews here based on simply its exclusivity. If you're not a member, and you're not with a member, don't go! You've no reason to be there! This place is an oasis in Aspen when the place is crowded. It's for people to get out of the spotlight and have a good time. It's beautiful, the food is great, the staff is awesome, and you never know who you might run into!

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Oh, Caribou Club. Do you have a predilection for wearing mink coats and several dozen carats of diamonds at once? Do you love small, $8 bottles of Fiji Water? Do you like making out with people several decades younger than you? Do you want to hang out with Neil Patrick Harris and Jon Voight and dance awkwardly to old Britney Spears hits? Then the Caribou Club is for you, my friend. This is a private, expensive, members-only bar/nightclub in Aspen. Considering the price of membership and the usual crowd in Aspen, the scene is definitely that of a high-roller, fancy-dressing, middle-aged crowd. Is it hard to get into, and thus exclusive? Yes. If you've never been here and happen to have a friend with membership, then by all means, go and drink and dance. It won't be your usual night out.

Yelp
After reading all of the reviews posted, prior to going, most of the reviews talked more about the quality of patrons that frequent the club or the poor service or being treated rudely by staff. I thought these reviews were just from unfairly discontent reviewers and vowed to go in with an open mind about the experience. The hotel arranged for us to dine as potential members. Our initial impression of the staff was excellent. Not at all what I was expecting from the reviews. Neat laid back atmosphere. The hostess greeted us and offered us several options for waiting for the 2 remaining guests to arrive. We opted to wait in their expansive/relaxed cocktail lounge, that really seemed more like an old friend's living room. The cocktail server was a bit busy, but when she made it over to us in about 5 - 10 minutes, was very nice and attentive. Brought cocktails quickly. Checked backed with us frequently. When our late guests arrived she immediately came over and got their orders. The food was excellent. 5 stars. All of it, at least the apps and entrees. The service by wait staff however was aweful. Thus the overall 2 star rating. Had to argue with the waiter about the fact that he hadn't taken my wife's entire order. Multiple times during the meal it felt as though we had been forgotten. We literally had to get up from the table and walk across the restaurant to get our waiter to take our dessert orders. It was then another 30 minutes for desserts to arrive (again we had to flag down our waiter to inquire about the desserts). They told us the dessert chef was backed up then, suprise the desserts all came up a moment later. Again they had forgotten our desserts that were just sitting at the servers station getting stale. The desserts were just ok. This club is a members only club with a hefty lifetime membership fee. However based on the wait staff's performance, we would not have joined even if they paid us. At 10:00PM, the bar turned into a night club, which was lively and vibrant, but we were so put off by the experience, couldn't wait to get out of there, even though our original plan was to stay to experience the club.

Ellie Z.

Yelp
Luxurious, elegant, and such a great time everytime! The dining is -- mind blowing, unbelievably, amazingly delicious. I've eaten here many nights, they even catered my wedding party, and it's always a stunning experience from beginning to end!

Travelista P.

Yelp
Amazing ! The best & the music is great:) Danced with a "Kennedy" the night I went . :)

Chris T.

Yelp
Incredibly classless manager. Who in their right mind would be rude to members asking a question, especially when the place was pretty empty.

Sharol R.

Yelp
This is our favorite restaurant in Aspen and that's saying a lot. Great food, fabulous wine list and wonderful employees. Cheesy garlic bread is incredible, their onion rings are the best and the steaks are always perfect. Fresh seafood daily and if you save room for dessert, there is nothing bad on the menu. The entire evening was memorable and we can't wait to go back!

Joanna S.

Yelp
Awesome ambiance, incredible food. Romantic or fun, elegant yet not stuffy. Great Aspen establishment.

Christopher J.

Yelp
I have been to the Caribou Club three times over the last 10 years. I met the owner, Harley Baldwin....many years ago and was even invited to his private residence upstairs for cocktails. He made the Caribou Club a classy place. Sadly, it is no longer the place Harley envisioned since he passed away. I received an invitation to the Club from a member on January 20th and entered the club. The dooman had no record of my name on the list, and suggested I leave !! A few minutes later, another guest of the same member arrived, and the list of invitees was found in the reservations book, and I was rescued and admitted. The host took me to the member's dining table, and told me that I "must" check my coat. I decided that I may come after their dinner, back to the club and have drinks with my friends. While we were deciding, the host rudely demanded I check my coat. I told him, we were deciding whether to stay or not..and he interupted me and told me "Check your coat...it's the club policy, or GET OUT!" I was very embarassed and appalled by the rude treatment, we weren't even seated yet. I decided to check my coat and THEN decide on whether I wanted to stay, or not. While checking my coat, a lady entered the club and told the same host, "I'm just going to look for my friends, first". He abrubtly told her, "Check your coat first!" and she replied, "Are you serious? I just want to see if my friends are here, first!", to which he retorted, "DOES IT LOOK LIKE I AM JOKING?!!" He was of some foreign descent...possibly Spanish? But nevertheless....VERY rude and completely unprofessional. Later in the lounge, we were having drinks and some 20 something year old ladies were scantilly dressed and started doing lap dances on the men at their table, and were very loud and drunk and acting obnoxious. My friend noted that the host was overly concerned with checking coats (perhaps a form of club income?) but had no care on how guests acted in the "private" and supposedly exclisive club. Harley would be rolling over in his grave..!! Sad to say, the Caribou Club is no longer what it used to be, and I have no desire to return. I was treated much better the following nights by the fireplace lounge at La Montagna in the Little Nell, by their staff.

Don S.

Yelp
Very cool space. Members only (or guests of members put on a list). "Sitting" room is warmly decorated with plush seating, warm colors, and many paintings and sculptures along the perimeter. Through the opening you walk into a happening bar scene with an adjacent dance floor (which was earlier in the evening the dining room. Very cool, well dressed crowd, very happening, decent DJ.

Frank S.

Yelp
Although this is a private club, if you are staying at Hotel Jerome, Little Nell or the St Regis ask your concierge as they can sometimes get you in as a guest. The food here has always been excellent, especially the Colorado Rack of Lamb. I always plan at least one dinner here.

michael m.

Yelp
What an incredible waste of time. I spent more time trying to getin than I spent inside. this place doesn't kniw if it wants to be a longue, restaurant or club. Way too corwded with 45+ yr olds who want to pretend they's 20 somethings. skip it

Sebastien R.

Yelp
Last visited December. The Caribu Club is Classic this is a private club, it's not a place to ask if you may just come in. The membership component has allowed Caribu to survive Aspen. aspen is hyper seasonal and this place has lasted over 20 years, very rare. The gate keepers a straight forward and it's not difficult to join you pay the yearly and or life time or you must be put on the list by another member food is exceptional and after being lame for number of years it's gotten much more fun. The decor is amazing but it needs a touch up a lift half the spaces are used for storage and not functional. I would love to see the club slightly modified for improved function.

Paul A.

Yelp
I have been to over 40 countries in the last 5 years, I have to say some of the best restaurants in the world. While i was visiting there with some friends who have been long time members invited me to dinner here, and i have to say the best lamb chops i have ever had in my life, along with the best small plate appetizers i have had in long time. I see a bunch of people complaining on here about checking your coats and hats, fact is this is a small place, so if you don't check your coats, hats and etc.. this place would be a mess. So with that being said private clubs ave their own rules and if you don't like it , don't go. I'm sure if you don't go you will not be missed. From beginning to end it was a great experience . Yeah they are pretty hard at the door, but if i payed 20k for a membership i wouldn't just want anyone to come in and do what they want. I like the exclusive feel. if i'm spending 1000 dollars on a dinner i want it exclusive and tasty which i got all of that.!!! Highly recommend trying!!!
