$20 passion fruit with lite alcohol drink… had the same drink at HAVANA CAFE (larger serving) , and paid way less. Food was ok.. so yeah get it together this caridad ain’t it . $180 3 people 2 drinks do the math .

The food was excellent! The moro was really good, the chicken and salad were well-seasoned, and the portion sizes were perfect. Three of us had lunch and there was still some chicken and rice left over. Great taste and great value, highly recommend! The atmosphere was nice, just your typical restaurant, people in and out. Some people eating in, we did take out.

The price on the menu is different than what the charge their customers. The steak with onions was listed at $17+ but I was billed $20.19. It was also supposed to come with either beans, salad or plantain. I chose the plantain but I got charged an additional $5 for it. The food was good but their dishonest practice is the reason I will not come back. The waiter was not friendly at all. He had ZERO personality.

The food here is ok. It was not particularly flavorful, was pretty dry, but it did not taste bad. The real reason for the low review is that they have a $10 additional charge if you order 4 of their “family” dishes. We found that out after getting our food, as it is not written on the website. It is written on the physical menus in the restaurant though. So its sort of hidden

When I need comfort food, this is my favorite spot. I visit here too much. The food is very tasty and large portion size, two people can definitely share a plate. Drinks are on point they don't disappoint it's worth it.

The food is top notch! A+ for the Bistec Higado, A for the Tostones con Ajo, C+ for the Sancocho (too watery and barely any meat), A++++++ for the Mondongo (best I ever had in NYC) and A + Café con Leche con Flan.

Very lively restaurant. The food portions were enough to fill you up. The only things that threw me off was how the food was brought over and how the tipping was laid out. I had a party of 5 so our food was brought by each individual plate even if said party members ordered the same thing. The tip part was confusing because it wasn't listed. We only found out after we asked that should probably be something that should be mentioned beforehand to avoid future confusions. However, the food was cooked with great flavor. I really enjoyed the Mofongo con Chicharrón. It was very delicious, it is very heavy and made up for my missed meal haha. My party got the Zapote, coconut, tamarind and parcha(I believe that's what it was called) drinks, they were savory. Will be going back for a heavy meal. I'd like to say this is my second time coming here. The food is good. I'm not Spanish so the language barrier is kind of crazy for me. I know a little bit a little bit of Spanish. Not too much but so I order my lunch. It's almost $20 right for the lunch that I got so I didn't see the chairs at first I was like oh wow they got chairs so I asked the guy hey Can I sit down he goes no papi you order food to go. You can't sit down. I said what really??? He goes then you can sit down for today and Lowe's good head in his phone, I said nah don't worry about it man and I left funny thing is me like you spend money to the go to the establishment not get it. Maybe he's busing tables so maybe he figures he get a tip but to tell somebody they can't sit down because they already ordered it to go. They didn't even ask me did I want to stay. They just assumed that I wanted to go. I'm coming from lunch but until that gets corrected man that guy is just not a good person. And I'm never go back there again. I don't care how good the fool is. Thanks I can't really give a review for the atmosphere cuz I wasn't allowed to sit down so with that they get a three. I would like to give them a five because the food is really really good but the people they have employed there it's just not good

Don't order the Pallea. I have been going to Caridad in the Bronx, New Rochelle and now Yonkers forever. I have always found the food to be delicious and consistent. @ Yonkers NY, the Pallea for two, that wasn't cheap, was terrible. The seafood was over cooked and mostly rice that was dry. Not traditional Pallea by a long shot.

Terrible experience. I will never be ordering or eating from here again. This was in my soup, it is very disappointing I loved this place.

My review will reflect some areas that can use improvement. Speaking of improvement, the renovation recently done is poor. Sometimes changes can be for the better and sometimes for the worst. Before, the restaurant was a cozy letting with low lighting. It set the mood for a nice evening dinner. Today, the sun never goes down. The choices of interior reno are too light and too bright for a diner.

Too expensive small portions not worth it Its garbage nothing special go to asian cuisine rather.

Love the new look/renovations! The staff is very friendly. Food looks fresh and always being refreshed. A la cart menu has a nice variety of choices.

Food was excellent. Service was impeccable. My server eas the best. Pernil was sooooo good. My belly was full. I will be back. I recommend this place for good Dominican food

The fried pork chops were the best. Service was pleasant too and the prices were decent. The place needs some fans or air conditioning though- it is brutally hot in there.

We have a big family dinner today It was 11 of us, my wife ordered the pollo Al caldero food came in she begun to eat,right after the first bite she was showing she thought it was a piece of bone but she find out it was a staple,we call the waitress they took the staple not even an apology or sorry nothing like it never happened you would've thought the mgr would've come and apologize and make you feel good or try to do anything to make you happy but none of that happen at all,is very disappointing the lack of customer service.. If I had an option to not even give a star I would've done it. They didn't even took the plate out bill. Shame,I will never! I repeat will never will food on that place disgusting!!!!!

Great food and price . I order rotisserie chicken and chicharon de pollo 2 order of rice & beans chicken soup and salad with ginger ale . Delicious taste ! 50 dollars . 6 people ate . Nice Service !

I haven't visited this location in almost a year, and I figured I would give it one more try. My mistake! Extremely rude service, even at the beginning of lunch rush. When you enter the restaurant, no one greets you, they all look at you and turn away. They never ask you for your order, they just stand there. Also don't dare ask for an additional item, after your receipt is given. You'll get an even bigger attitude from the servers! In regards to the food, the beef stew was cut into such large chunks. The meat, potatoes and vegetables wasn't cooked through properly. It's nothing like the New Rochelle location. I will never order from this location again!!

This birthday dinner was horrible. We brought my MIL here to treat her to a night out, her choice. Personally, I would only come to a restaurant like this for a lunch or to-go order but it wasn't my decision. We walked into a bit of a frenzy. The place seemed disorganized and we stood there for a while for our table despite being the only people waiting. When we were finally seated, our server came and greeted us. He was very nice and attentive, at first. We started with the Calamari appetizer to start, which was basically the cheap calamari rings you would get at any run-of-the-mill dining establishment. Hubby had the Churrasco with vegetables, rice and beans. It tasted ok. There was nothing special about it. My MIL and I both ordered the Red Snapper w/Grilled Shrimp and two vegetable sides. I had a few bites before it made itself apparent to me and didn't dare take it to-go. The fish was terrible. There is absolutely no way it could have been fresh. It smelled so bad. I was done. I couldn't eat anymore of that food. We were waiting for our server to come back to the table. Fifteen minutes passed and he never showed. We went searching for him because we wanted to leave as soon as possible. The smell of the fish was only getting worse and worse the entire time we sat there. It got unbearable. When we finally found our server we realised that he was doing double duty singing a birthday song to tiger diners. I'm unsure how many birthday dinners were happening that evening but there must have been a few. He had to sing and play an instrument at multiple tsbles, apparently. All this, when we waited to get out bill and leave. It's safe to say that I won't be returning here.

I am so disappointed ! I usually don't have any complaints but I ordered food and picked up cheesecake and there was mold on the cheesecake! I am happy I saw It before eating.

This weekend I picked up breakfast for the family. It is a small local restaurant that is close by. I usually come by to pick up the family meal for dinner which comes with rotisserie chicken, rice, beans, sweet plantains, salad, and soda. The food is delicious and never had any issues. They give large portions that can feed everyone for at least two days. This is the first time I ordered breakfast. I picked up two eggs with bacon and fried cheese on the side. I picked up a large coffee as well. The food was delicious. The eggs and cheese were very flavorful. The coffee was strong just how I like it. Overall, the food was good and service was fast. I never ate inside but judging from the reviews it is probably for the best. I like to stop by local places for a quick meal so I will stop by here again.

Truly disgusted and sick to my stomach. Normally I enjoy the food here. Today I ordered the broiled fish fillet for the first time. The fillet smelled TERRIBLE through the bag and unopened container. Then, when I opened the container, the dish was basically raw. I'm so disgusted and appalled that anyone would serve something like this.

The waitress treated us like we owed her a favor Most likely bc the tip is already calculated in bill go to the Bronx locations totally un concerned about how they treat their customers. Orders are wrong they blame you, they throw out your food they blame you, they can't find the bill again your mistake unbelievable

You can never go wrong with delicious well seasoned and fragrant Spanish food. I was in the mood for some Fresh Spanish food so I came to my usual spot in Yonkers and got me some pork and black rice Man was it delicious. When you step inside of the restaurant they have an open buffet where you can choose your meats and your rice and to the left there is a grill with an abundance of chicken being grilled up to perfection just standing online wearing your mask you will begin to just drew in anticipation for that first bite. You order your food and they make your plates when you go over to the cashier and you pay then you come back and retrieve your food to go when I stepped outside my mask and my nostrils were still filled with flavor even after taking my mask off on the way home I can still smell the garlic and seasonings deep in my nose the food was delicious and I could eat that every day if my health would not fail me. Whenever I am in the mood for something different and fresh I make my way here and get me some good cooked food at a very reasonable price

I work nearby, so we used to order here a lot until the management decided to have a new rule about having to show ID in order to process credit card purchases. This right here is COMPLETELY understandable from a business point of view but when you have a returning customer from a huge business that also orders from here at least twice a week over $100 purchases, it's kind of an inconvenience. Food always tastes great. Convenient for when you need something fast already made to go. Last visit I ordered a Cuban sandwich. Amazing like always, only complaint here would be I found a bone in the sandwich. I have mixed feelings for the place. It's like being in a toxic relationship that I keep going back to.

What ever you do do not ask for mojito they might bite your hand off. So sad to see. 5 star for good food -4 star for service.

Tried the empanadas from here and they were decent! Deep fried and with a tasty chicken filling.

We ordered dinner with yellow rice and received white. When I called the order taker was adamant that it was grub hubs fault. How is it grub hubs fault? They dont pack the orders! Will never order from them again. When I want Spanish food I'll order from malecon or Lola's .

I realized I wrote the wrong review for the wrong location. I got food poisoning from this place on June 30th. The chicken was dry and tasted old, the beans were off, please order at your own risk.

I was passing by and I decided to give Caridad and Louie and chance despite all the bad reviews. I saw the Mexican menu on the window and I was fooled. I always ask before ordering, what kind of salsa comes with the tacos. They told me: no salsa. I still ordered the 4 tacos. Tacos were ok, not bad but not great, just ok. My wife ordered the breakfast platter. Pancakes were the best of all, eggs were over cook. I'll keep searching of the real flavor. On the reviews people keep calling this Spanish good, which I don't really know what that means, but I think is more like Dominican/PuertoRican food. If you're looking for Mexican food go somewhere else. Generous 3. Won't comeback.

Better off going to the roach infested McDonald's next door. The people taking your order don't care to have any customer service. Have to assert yourself here or you'll be waiting forever. Even for a pickup

What sad is the that the food was not bad. After eating half I noticed there was a penny in my rice. Yes like a whole one cent. I hope I don't get sick. Even though I'm feeling sick to my stomach. Absolutely disgusting! People shouldn't be dealing with money by the food.

Amazing food!! We had the chicken with rice, mofongo and the Cuban sandwich and loved it all. Will be back for more!

Ordered from these guys thru Grubhub. Food took Alittle long to get to me but not a big deal. The combination tacos were Delish and filling. I would avoid the hamburger--wasn't too appetizing. Stick with the favorites and anything Spanish. The delivery guy wasn't too great towards me despite a 15% tip he got for driving a less then a 1/2 mile...rude!

Ordered delivery through Grub Hub Pretty good. Will order again Delivery guy was upset because he couldn't locate me. We went back and forth because he was telling me I should've noted specific instructions on the receipt. And I'm telling him I did note that through grub hub but apparently the receipt they gave him was not the same as the grub hub one.

I eat here at least once a week, doesn't matter if I do delivery or pick it up it's ALWAYS good and they know how to package things properly, which if you order delivery a lot, you know is a major key. The pepper steak is amazing with yellow rice & beans... always get the jugo de coco. I love the chicharron de pollo sin hueso (deep fried chicken chunks) and the carne guisado (beef stew) extra limon (lime) squeezed on top and I'm in heaven! This is for sure my go to spot, I have yet to ever have a complaint and I've probably ordered nearly 100 times, that's rare! They earned their 5 Stars!

Used to love this place, then I got an order of beans with tons of dead maggots in them. Really unfortunate because some of their other dishes are great, but now I don't trust this place.

Worst place to order a 3 Golpes. Mangu was soupy & they don't read any special instructions.

Chicken was dry and old and DISGUSTING. spent 32$ on old re-used food. So beyond gross. Chicken had fat pieces and skin was dry and tasteless. Literally got sick from this order. Place needs to close down and stop stealing money from customers.

I've ordered breakfast from here before and it was delicious. This time I ordered from Uber eats and I was extremely disappointed with the breakfast. I ordered eggs over easy with french fries and turkey bacon but they sent me pork bacon. I ordered 2 mangu breakfasts. The mangu was extremely soggy and the onions had so much vinegar that it was pretty much inedible!...They also burried the fried cheese under the soggy mangu. My boyfriend and I wound up throwing almost the whole thing away. Maybe they had an off day but very I was very disappointed to say the least.

One star for good food but they are bloody liars!!!! The menu says combo beans and plantains...I received my food ! No beans or plantains and she had the audacity to say menu was was subject to change

its one of the best Caridad Restaurants from the chain. The place is big and has lots of seating, separated from the area to take out food...The food is great, cheap and delicious. I Have taken lots of friends here for a fast and quick meal and they have loved it. Their chicken is the best, get the dominican staple (la bandera) rice, beans and one side of meat, this will run you about 7 bucks, and you will not eat for the rest of the day. Get some maduros with that, and for desert..the delicious 3 leches (3 milk) cake. go there and tell us about it.

Be VERY CAREFUL when ordering or eating here if you have allergies. I am a regular customer. I placed an order and was very specific with them about my shellfish allergy and told them my food cannot be in contact with any shellfish. When the food arrived, several bites into the meal...I see two pieces of shrimp inside my meal. Very careless, very irresponsible of the restaurant. Use caution

Order from here a Lunch special got a plate of pure chicken. Thought it might have been a mistake so i called them up . Hostess was rude and said yea thats the meal for 11 dollars. Ask her what happen to the sides she hang up. Worst customer service.

Food is ok, DO NOT call for delivery if you are super hungry, you'll get your food 2 hours later, pick up is better than dine in because service is HORRIBLE, staff is rude. Drive up 4-5 more blocks to MALECON, staff is friendly and they have the best chicharrón mofóngo

Just so you know, the tips are automatically placed in your bill but you can choose to refuse to tip, which I did I'm complaining here because even when I have told management and gave the business a second try I had the same results if not, worse then the last time

Great food at good price if you order lunch specials that are already made. The items from the menu are a little pricey for this type of establishment, especially in the location that it's in. The ladies behind the counter can use some customer service training. The waitresses aren't the friendliest but the food makes up for it. The manager of the place is a really nice guy, very friendly to the customers. I would definitely return because of the great tasting food.

The waitresses are super rude I just don't understand it. The food is simply mediocre and a combination of undercooked and over cooked just plain miss as opposed to hit mostly. They charged $20+ for a plate of lasagna with meat literally the size of an appetizer so not worth it.

I ordered chicken, beans, rice, plantains and soda from this restaurant, and it was like pulling teeth with a needle-nosed plier. The lady who served me was not enthused at all. I started off ordering in english, then she told me that she could not understand me. I then switched to spanish since I am a bilingual, and she still had a tough time just listening to my request. After getting the check from this woman, I noticed that the total price was way off the mark from where it should be. There was actually a $30 dollar difference that had to be corrected by the cashier. I finally paid, took my order and left. The bottom line to this whole story is that the taste of the food was nothing more than normal spanish food, but the ordering experience was tiring. I will never go back to this place.

Was an order for delivery. I spoke spanish. I asked for chicken mofongo, cheese mofongo, fried pork chunks and fried yuca. I got chicken nuggets instead of fried pork chunks. All for $30. I was wondering why it came out to so much money. I am beyond upset. I have eaten here plenty of times in the past and have maybe ordered for delivery a few times. I am upset. Not only that but the delivery guy calls to tell me he's outside. I told the lady over the phone that I live on the 2nd floor and he can come up. So I get ready to go down and the delivery guy knocks on my door. I am upset about getting chicken over pork. I should have called and complained but what would be done about it?? Probably nothing. whatever.

I wasn't too sure about this place since I'm usually not a fan when they mix different type of cuisines. I didn't try anything from the Italian menu so my review is just on the Dominican food. I tried the Pollo al Ajillo (chicken in garlic sauce), moro (rice mix with beans), baked chicken, plantains and pastelitos (chicken patty) Everything was delicious.

Ordered family combo steak with onions. for 25.00 the steak was only enough for 2. Would not order that again.. There was not enough steak to be called a family combo for 4.. I feel cheated

If you are picking up then order an hour ahead and if you are getting delivery then good luck to you because they deliver whatever they feel like delivering that day. Worst service imaginable.
