Carina's at the Clocktower

We couldn’t have had a better experience here. We were so happy we went here after our elopement. The service was on point, the old fashioned is smoked table side with your selection of preferred ice and choice flavored smoking chips. We had two pasta dinners one spicy Alfredo and the Tuscan dinner. The spicy Alfredo was my husbands favorite they used ghost pepper and he loved how spicy it was. The Tuscan dinner was creamy & savory! They surprised us by honored our wedding day by playing wedding music and celebrated us at the table. The staff was soo welcoming. We came back for dinner a second time! Highly recommend Carina’s for awesome cocktails, delicious food, and great service.

This was our first visit and we had a superb experience. We drove from Anchorage just for brunch and were not disappointed. Our waiter was phenomenal and the setting was both elegant and casual. The menu was innovative and non typical, impressing us at a top level. The food brought out was beautiful, well prepared and plated meticulously. As a Chef of 30+ years I can’t say enough how much I appreciated all of the detail and craftsmanship put into our food and plating. The Chef even came out to finish my French onion soup at the table! Bravo!!! We can’t wait to experience dinner and this destination is at the top of our list for both recommendations and our next special night out. Prices were fair and drinks were fabulous and extensive. Highly recommend everyone stop by and see what awesome things are being done here. Side note that the ‘clock tower’ building has wonderful shops and specialty items you don’t find everywhere.

It definitely threw me off first walking into this location. AK Chics to one side and Expedition on the other. Straight ahead was the restaurant which didn’t look like much from the door, but when you walked in there it was a welcoming atmosphere. The waitress was kind and attentive and the cook would come out to ask if everything tasted good. There had been a couple birthdays that night which the crew would bring out a pastry with a candle and have music playing in the background. I thought that was fun. Everything was maintained and clean. You could set your own mood with a touch lamp on the table that had 3 settings of bright, medium bright and the last what I thought felt calm and relaxing. My wife had the New York cut with a blue cheese sort of glaze, mashed potatoes and veggies. I had had the seafood pasta. Everything was really good and we had enough to share with each other and our kiddo. We checked out the upstairs which had a bar and fun chill ambiance yet still held a chic feel. I would def recommend this place and go back there after a long drive coming from the north any time. Plus, there is a local joint that sells ice cream next door! Can’t beat that!

Last night marked our second visit to Carina's, and it was just as delightful as the first. A few weeks ago, we stumbled upon this gem and were blown away by the quality of the food, the stunning presentation, the attentive service, and the theatrical way they prepare an Old Fashioned right at your table. It was such a memorable experience that we decided to bring four friends along to celebrate a birthday. Once again, the evening was fantastic. The chef even took the time to chat with us after our meal, which was a lovely touch. I wholeheartedly recommend Carina's at the Clocktower; it's quickly becoming our favorite local dining spot.

I had an exceptionally nice and delicious dinner at Catina's. The soup de jour was wonderful, but the Blue New York steak was amazing. The best part was how attentive the server was, treating me as if I was their most valued customer. I will be back!

Amazing experience!! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable. You have to try the mushroom soup-it's to die for and I don't usually even like mushrooms! Highly recommend the pork belly appetizer and the beignets as well 🤤. I went for brunch with my friend and her hubby who just got married and we all had such a great time!

Food is sooooo good. The restaurant is clean and tidy with 14 ish tables. Both times we have been here Chrissy has been our server for brunch. She was attentive and bubbly with excellent suggestions. The chicken fried chicken was really tasty and moist. I was surprised it being so crunchy, yet so moist and flavorful. The 4 cheese grilled cheese sammiches with the tomato bisque soup were super duper good as well. We had the chipotle Caesar salads for appetizers. Crisp lettuce and great flavored lil tomatoes. The bloody mary comes with it's own lil' pickled garden and a little hamburger! The food and service were both exceptional. We will be back to try more!

We are visiting Alaska from Pennsylvania, and were driving from Alyeska to Denali when we dropped at Carina's at the Clock Tower. What a gem! We tried the langostine deviled eggs, which were delicious. I had the eggs benedict with a crab cake and avocado, and it was so good! The English muffin was really fresh and the eggs were cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed their mimosa selection- they had so many flavors to choose from! We tried the mango and pineapple and wow, what a treat! Highly recommend this place if you're in Wasilla. Locals are so lucky to have this place in their backyard!

OMG What a great little classy gourmet restaurant. White cloth ambiance. Diner personality Sushi bar complication Michelin quality chefs. Marriage proposal Date night Business meeting or Sunday brunch. Classy classy classy. Yum yum yum. I can't wait to return.

First, I'm totally impressed! It's been around 4 years but has new owners. It's welcoming and has an upscale feel. They brought us a sample of their Chicken Bacon Ranch soup of the day and it was so good we ordered and split a bowl. So I got the Eggs Benedict with Crab Cakes you can substitute out the ham and upgrade. It was delicious. They have an amazing assortment of mocktails, specialty cocktails, wines and Alaskan craft beers, I'll be back to try some of them for sure. It's a gem for brunch in Wasilla and the wait staff provides for an attentive service! Waters were refilled quickly and we were visited by all 3 servers checking on us. I love this place!

This is the 2nd time I have been here in one month and I do not live in Wasilla. I cannot believe this place only has 15 reviews, the food, ambience and service is first class. I assumed it was a new restaurant since so few reviews and it turns out they have been around for over 4 years. They have a soup dujour and both times they offered samples of the soup, great upsell because it worked. Last time it was a chicken bacon ranch soup, oh so rich. Today it was brisket bisque - a little bit of a curry thing going on. It was good and not too rich. I opted for the salad I was thinking about last time and it was awesome. Greens, mandarin oranges, goat cheese, candied pecans, really good homemade croutons and tiger shrimp, The salad was a nice portion and so tasty. This time we were with friends and as one said, 'Didn't Michelin star restaurants earn stars based on whether it was worth driving too?' Well yes, yes this place is certainly worth the drive to Wasilla for an awesome meal. Not only is the food great, the company was wonderful and as I mentioned, first class service all the way. Presentation was beautiful and the lady chef even came out to the table.

It was our first time visiting Carinas at the Clocktower, and we had a wonderful lunch -- and already planning to come back, maybe for dinner next time! The set up of the restaurant was cute, cozy, and played music with great vibes. Our server was very attentive and respectful, we really appreciated his service. And the food was not only presented beautifully, but it tasted great too. We ordered the Korean pork belly, avocado bomb (ahi tuna poke inside an avocado and crispy potato on top), French onion soup, and their umami rice. The French onion soup's cheese was melted right at our table via blowtorch, and it was a rich, flavorful soup. Loved the dishes we ordered -- We left very satisfied and are excited to come again!

Trivia: In 1985 a movie with a famous clock tower came out. It was unique because lightning striking that tower provided for time travel. What is that movie? Carinas is the real deal. Sort of a best kept secret at this point. I arrived on a whim. I knew the restaurant was there, but it wasn't popping up on Yelp. I knew there was an upstairs bar and I asked to be seated there. It was quiet and tasteful with impeccable service and excellent fare. The mood lighting makes it the perfect place for to bring a date or enjoy a quiet relaxing meal. It wasn't until I was about to leave that I discovered my server was also the owner. He managed and led the restaurant so smoothly. Food arrived quickly and was presented elegantly. Going for the small plates gave me a chance to try a sampling of things. Each dish was full of flavor and carefully cooked. Each dish came with a splendid accoutrement. A sauce or pickled veggie, for instance. The smoked old fashioned had one large ice cube, just the way it should be. (And they have the option of a steel cube as well). Give this place a try! Too many flavors to try. You'll be excited to return.

How have I never been here before?! Right away, I was struck by how cute the interior is. We were seated at a table with a little candlelit ambiance, and the lighting was perfect--dim, but each table has adjustable lights to set the mood with different brightness. The service was excellent, and the food? Absolutely delicious! My boyfriend even said we need to come back until we've tried everything on the menu. This time, we went with the Pork Belly and Caribbean Shrimp appetizers, and they were amazing. The drinks were also super unique and fun! Definitely a spot we'll be returning to soon.

Shopping is great and brunch was fantastic. Got great recommendations from locals on what to do and see next, we will be back :)

Carinas at the Clock Tower was a wonderful surprise. There isn't much signage so you could miss it. Carina was our server and she was friendly, and courteous. The restaurant was clean and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed my lunch of avocado toast with micro greens. We are from out of town but it was such a pleasure to find a place to eat where I could get a healthy meal that didn't make me feel rotten. Traveling with Crohn's disease is a challenge but Carina's made my choices simple! Thank you Carina and team! .

Wow! We came in looking for a nice place for breakfast & we're pleasantly surprised. The food is absolutely delicious, the ambiance is fantastic the staff is so efficient & sweet,

Nice location with fresh salad ingredients including super sweet strawberries in the apple salad. Avocado toast was well balanced, and tasty.

My husband had a BLT with fries and I got the siren orchard salad best salad I've ever had and I heard the BLT was pretty delicious too. We also got a mocha and a jasmine pearl tea latte, both amazing as well. The waitress was so awesome (wish I could remember her name) so attentive and kind. Also can we talk about how this might be the best restaurant in wasilla for dates, it is so nice compared to every other place here. Definitely recommend coming here

Carinas at the Clocktower tonight was amazing. The staff was quick and attentive but never rushed us. The food was stellar. We had a salad and 2 entrees. The tri tip and seafood pasta. It was seasoned perfectly, presented beautifully and tasted amazing. This is our new go-to for date night. Can't wait to try something new next time. I know it won't disappoint.

Good atmosphere, family run, so super kid friendly. We have been coming here for years, and it has changed management, but the staff seems to have remained the same, with top notch service. The incredible food just puts it over the top. Their are only like 4 places in the Valley I would recommend, and this place is #1 on that list.

Food was scrumptious and ample portions. Nice ambiance. Friendly staff. Will go again.
