Coming from the country in NC & a family that can cook , hats off to Carla’s kitchen , service , atmosphere and food out of this world !!! I got the chitterling plate & a turkey wing on the side with banana pudding , my husband got an oxtail plate , a side of chitterlings and sweet potato pie. This is his hometown and we will definitely be a stop everytime we visit ! Seasoned & good portion sizes. 5 star plus. The Mac & Cheese is amazing as well! - Desmond & Kelsee Leverette .

This restaurant has some of the best soul food I have had that's not from my mom's kitchen! Everything was seasoned well and not overly salty. The menu does change daily so always check their Facebook page. I will be back!

I LOVED THE OXTAILS! I got Oxtails, Collard Greens, Rice, and then I also got a banana pudding on the side, please get! (Sorry I took a bite out of the banana pudding before the picture)

I love visiting different restaurants in various cities. Many times, I happen upon hidden gems that amaze me. This place is one of them. With so many delicious choices, it was difficult to decide what to get. Nevertheless, my party and I were highly pleased. Everything was completely satisfying. We were more than pleased.

I ordered some food from here today. Overall the food was pretty delicious. I order oxtails, with cabbage, and green beans, bbq pigs feet with macaroni and cheese, and green beans, smothered pork chops, with green beans and cabbage. My Aunt ordered baked chicken with 2 sides. I also ordered a banana pudding. I enjoyed the oxtails, I had 2 medium sized ones. I wish they had put a couple of small ones with it. I do know that oxtails are expensive. The same for the pigs feet, it also was two pieces but one barely had any meat on it. It’s definitely not the cooks fault but giving a little extra makes up for that. My Aunt asked for some ice but they didn’t have any. However, they did have cold refrigerated drinks. As for the parking, it’s not a big parking lot but they do have parking available. I would definitely visit this restaurant again. The oxtails were the most expensive at $19, all the other meals were under $15 each, so the pricing is about right. The banana pudding was also good. It had a hint of banana flavoring but not overpowering, thank you. I love supporting Black owned businesses, this is one to support. Any business that shows care for their customers I appreciate big time!!!

Carla’s Kitchen is hands down the best soul food spot in Augusta. It’s a small place, but the flavors are huge—just like something my mom or grandma would make. The fried chicken is crispy and seasoned just right, the mac & cheese is old school, and the collard greens have that perfect homemade taste. Everything is fresh, full of flavor, and made with love.

Carla is my new best friend. Whenever we visit my Son and his family in Augusta and need a lil Soul Food. This is our no.1 spot from now on! They are small meat and 3 style setup. I ordered a pork chop plate, oxtail plate and of course a Chitlin plate. We all loved our food. Nice to know that the greens had no sugar in them as well. Ain't nobody trying to have greens for dessert if you catch my drift! Everything was delish!

I cant say anything bad about Carla's Kitchen. Ive been numerous times. I love the food here. Each time, my food is abundant and flavorful.
