Legendary experience! This is a 1/1 unique, amazing culinary art experience! The food was unbelievable and actually has taken the top spot for two of my favorite all time dishes…tuna tartare and lobster ravioli. All food was outstanding and drinks were on point. Did I mention CARLI? This man is a music icon and played the piano for us. Basically a gourmet dining experience with unique twists AND an intimate show from a musician who, amongst other accomplishments, was a long time collaborator with The Beach Boys. Carli talked with us for a while afterwards, just such a cool and unique experience you cannot get anywhere else. 11/10, A+++ don’t think it over just go and see Carli

One of our best dining experiences in Old San Juan was at Carli’s Fine Bistro & Piano. This charming restaurant and bar offers a warm, intimate ambiance, elevated by the live piano music performed by Carli himself—a truly special touch that enhances the evening. For the main course, the mahi mahi was outstanding—perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The drink selection is top-notch, featuring an impressive array of rums and other beverages to complement the meal. Outdoor seating is also available, adding to the restaurant’s inviting atmosphere. For an unforgettable dining experience, reservations are highly recommended.

Burnt quesadillas, bad service. Beware of their chef special desserts whose prices are not mentioned on the menu and if u order them without asking, you will be in shock. Small piece exorbitant price. Only good thing is that white people are seated first despite coming in late and dont have to wait too long. Update: As the owner got back with reply with some quotes, I can find many on the internet for racist ones too. And No, we did not order the "toasted" ones. You can say whatever for your convenience. Please focus on your employees and your service.

Wow!! Just wow! We did a rum tour that started at Carli's. We liked the mojito so much that we decided to come back for dinner!! Best decision we made on this trip! The service and food were AWESOME!! Our waiter, Angel, was fantastic. We felt so catered to without being smothered. The food was DELICIOUS!! Lobster ravioli and filet...YUM!! The true treat was Carli Munoz playing piano during our wonderful dining experience!! God only knows....

Hidden Gem in Old San Juan we walked by heard the piano playing and it was inviting. The customer service over the top waiter Enrique was very nice and knowledgeable. Found out at the end the person playing piano is actually the owner. That was very cool detail to close out the night. Nice jazzy vibes nice bottle of wine.

The ambiance and live piano music at Carli’s were lovely and set a nice mood. However, the food was just average and didn’t quite meet the expectations set by the atmosphere. Service was decent, but overall the experience didn’t justify the higher prices. It was okay, but I wouldn’t rush back.

Lorianne (the bartender) is absolutely amazing. Such yummy drinks and the food was sooo delicious. Lorianne gave wonderful advice about where to visit in Puerto Rico. Personality plus 😊 Ronald (a server) is so sweet and was the person who greeted us and gave us the history of this amazing restaurant. The owner, Carli, played the piano beautifully. This was a great experience and we will be back!!!

Yelp
This was easily in the top 5 most delicious meals I've ever eaten. My husband agrees! The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy while still being upscale. We had a delicious bottle of wine and an appetizer that started everything off perfectly. Our waiter was attentive without being in the way. My husband ordered the grouper and I ordered the shrimp ravioli. Let me tell you, we will think about those meals and long to taste them again! We may even come back again on this trip! Divine!

Yelp
My husband and I took a Caribbean cruise and one of the stops was in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We were going to be on the island for about 12 hours, so we wanted to try a "local place" that had good food and a good reputation. I had done some research ahead of time and came across this little place called Carli's. Online line it looked like a cool and eclectic place to check out and for me, it ticked all the boxes for what I was looking for: - Eclectic atmosphere - Excellent food - Live music - Interesting people Carli Munoz is the owner of this establishment and a piano musician. He was the entire reason for me booking reservations at this location. We knew we had to leave at about 8pm to have time to return our rental car and get back to the ship and his website said he starts playing music around 6:30pm. We had 6:15pm reservations and upon arrival I asked the hostess what time Carli would be starting that evening. She said around 8pm to 8:30pm. I was *very* disappointed because HE was the whole reason we booked reservations for this location. I nearly left the restaurant when she told us that, but my husband was like, "Well, we're here and we do want dinner, so we might as well stay." I begrudgingly agreed, but with a very heavy heart and then add to that what I was going to spend on dinner and NOT get the entertainment I was planning on just really put a bit of damper on my evening. Carli was at the restaurant and he was talking with people and going in and out mingling. It's hard to put into words. I felt like I'd stepped back in time or was watching a movie taking place at small "club" in a foreign country. These people were friendly almost on an intimate level with each other. Smiling, gently touching Carli's shoulder and just "lighting up" at the sight of him. Then the restaurant itself is dark and moody and very eclectic. The overall "scene" helped to boost my mood, even with no music. Then Carli sat down at that piano and began to play. I was SO happy that we ended up staying and Carli playing the piano completed the perfect evening. I'm sorry. I haven't mentioned the food..it was excellent, but in my opinion secondary to the whole vibe of the establishment. Which would be a great place for drinks, music, and socializing with friends. I ordered the Risotto with Pumpkin and Shrimp. The flavor profile was excellent and paired perfectly with the shrimp. The Risotto cook was neither gummy nor undercooked. My husband ordered the Rack of Lamb and it too, was cooked a perfect medium rare. It was tender and flavorful and a very well prepared dish. The food did not disappoint, but for me, it was the entire atmosphere that would make this place "my regular" place, if I lived in San Juan. However, it is very small venue, so consider yourself very fortunate, if you can get yourself a table inside to allow you the opportunity to enjoy all the atmosphere and electiveness' of this venue. Should we be in San Juan in the future, this will definitely be one of my go to places.

Yelp
I was verbally and physically assaulted by both the owner and the owner's son. Video of the altercation has been reported and is being sent to the police department. Inexcusable and unacceptable behavior by both the owner and his son...shameful!! You cannot operate a restaurant like this and get away with grabbing people by the arms and demanding that they get the f out! So sad!! Do not visit this establishment. Wish we could upload the entire video. Both the owner and his son verbally and physically assaulted me. Both grabbed my phone and my arms and tried to wrestle me to the ground. They claimed they called the police but they didn't. They demanded payment or would not let us leave. It's interesting that the police never arrived. They kept saying to pay and get the f out. Both of the males. The only sensible one was the owner's son's wife. She tried to de-escalate the situation and tried to get to the bottom of what happened. It wasn't successful due to the power trip that both her husband and her father in law were on. The entire video, if we could upload it, shows the owner and his son grabbing my phone and arms and attempting to put me on the ground as if I was a felon and just committed murder. I was simply asking why I was charged for steak when they told me they were out of chicken! All he could keep asking was "DID YOU EAT IT?!?!"

Yelp
Place is very elegantly decorated. Piano music after 8:00pm, musics in the patio At 6. We went there on a Weds early afternoon after walking through Old San Juan. The service at the bar was exceptional. The food 10/10, everything we chose was tasty and beautifully presented. Great wine and drink selection.

Yelp
Been traveling to Puerto Rico for years now and I will say hands down so far my greatest meal to date! Service was exceptional and knowledgeable about food and drinks and the coziness of the restaurant creates such an at home feel! Will be back again and again!!!

Yelp
The worst service in San Juan. I ordered and sat there for over 30 minutes when I asked the waiter for my food he came to me put his hands on my shoulder and said he was sorry he forgot. Why would anyone want to eat here when the service is so horrible?

Yelp
My husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at Carli's. The food was amazing. For an appetizer, we had the cod fritters and chicken quesadilla. For my entree, I had the sweet potato risotto with shrimp. My husband had the shrimp Alfredo. For dessert, we shared the crème brûlée. The service was great. The ambiance was nice. The piano music was very nice.

Yelp
Having been to Carli's in 2022 and experienced the famous Carli performing on the piano, we were eager to return in 2024. The bistro is small so it not recommended for large parties but for two people it's snug and intimate. Be prepared to get to know your neighbors because the quarters are close. Personally, I enjoy this aspect. Unfortunately, Carli was not performing on this Saturday night but a talented gentlemen performed classics like 'Imagine' and 'Layla' on the outside patio. The restaurant has tremendous atmosphere and history. Our waiter, while humorous and lovely, proudly announcing his 66 years of age added pizazz. The experience is hit or miss food wise. We ordered a cheese course and escargot as appetizers and the cheese course was frighteningly large with grapes, strawberries, nuts, and olives overshadowing the actual cheese. We then had a featured potato soup that while tasty was extremely thick, more like porridge. Our drinks ran the gamut. The Bon Bon was a sweet beachy drink while the pica de pica packed a punch. A couple of misses included leaving our dirty dishes in front of us all evening and forgetting our neighbors meals altogether. It wasn't until we moved our dishes to another table and asked about our neighbors meals until action was taken. For an interesting and unpredictable experience try Carli's.

Yelp
I hate leaving bad reviews but we were sat by the speaker outside. The speaker played the same few songs on a loop over and over and as a musician myself, I can't unhear it. I think it's the owner's music, which we were excited to hear as our friends told us there would be live music. We were disappointed to learn the owner rarely does that any more. The food was nothing special and we waited a long time. I really wish had better to report. Sitting outside would have been lovely if the songs were not played on repeat. I hope I never have to hear the "hallelujah" song again.

Yelp
Vibes were nice server was nice. I would have order other food though and thats basically the sole cause of the low review. Whoever decided to make pasta sweet should be sent to some pasta prison! I get the sauce pairs nice with the fish but i do not want to be eating hard pasta covered in a sweet sauce. It was basically like eating cardboard with maple syrup. I couldn't even finish the food and my friend sent her plate back and she still couldn't stomach it as well. I hope the restaurant can take some criticism and hopefully update the blackened tuna penne to have a saltier or creme sauce to pair with the fish as that was what I was expecting.

Yelp
I understand that this is a novel, but do read to understand the entire story. Myself and my co-workers went to Carli's to celebrate. Couple of weeks ago, we heard the piano playing and noticed the restaurant, since then we wanted to try it! We finally got the opportunity this time around. We came to dinner around 7 pm where we found the restaurant to be a bit quiet and empty. Stylistically, the restaurant looks great from the inside - highlighting a piano in the center. The place was a bit crammed (because of the furniture) but it seemed nice. The waiter was too nice but rushed (he had two tables in the entire restaurant). Our coworker let him know that he was not drinking, but he proceeded to serve him wine several times despite being told that he wasn't drinking - several times. Regarding the drinks, I got a dirty gin martini that was not dirty (just had olives). The mojitos have a ton of muddled mint which made them difficult and messy to drink. My coworker described it as "someone put grass and water in a blender." It was time to order the food. Three of us got the recommended "French onion soup." The soup came in mugs with no cheese and two pieces of French bread on the side. Although flavorful, it was onion and mushroom soup (yes, I found a mushroom in there). I'll skip through the bad : The mahi was salty and overcooked, the vegetables were super salty and the chicken was dry. This kinda ruined our night in old San Juan. I understand this sounds bad but there were positives: the risotto was amazing and the lamb rack was good (although not cooked to the correct term). The music was amazing. I would cautiously recommend this place. The staff are nice and I believe that they are trying their best. The restaurant is a gem because of its amazing live piano player and location.

Yelp
Do not eat there. It is a piano bar in Old San Juan. Good for drinks and listening to music. I go to Old San Juan at least once a week when teleworking from the island and stop sometime for music and a drink. Normally, I don't eat there. I decided to get a bite, what a mistake. I got the cod fritters and it was so bad--I mean, it was like you were eating cardboard. I was planning to have a full dinner but I decided not to. Service was too condescending, patronizing, and too inquisitive. With so many places in OSJ, definitely a place I won't visit again.

Yelp
The food was excellent, we had the grouper. The service was excellent! The ambiance was outstanding. I had the best mojito I have ever had. There was live music for most or our time there (7:00 PM - 9:30 PM). Carli played and a very accomplished musician was on guitar and vocals. We will remember that night for a very long time.

Yelp
HORRIBLE service. It took 2 for our food to be served ! We ordered our appetizers for our party and told the waiter like 3 TIMES we were ordering the same appetizers for our family at the next table. We were a party of 10 Even then we didn't get all of the appetizers that we requested for initially !!!! There was NOBODY in the restaurant besides 1 couple and even then it took them 2 hours for them to serve our food. ON TOP OF THAT all 3 waiters were outside chit chatting laughing while we were still waiting for our food. We never got an update on how much longer. Mind you I have a 2 year old who was hungry! I went outside to ask all 3 waiters how much longer. Horrible service DO NOT come here unless you want your food order to get messed up & take FOREVER to come out. They said there would be piano playing and there was nothing and no music in general

Yelp
I'd give them 4.5 stars if I could. Jose was a great server. The piano player was awesome! Small intimate place with great food. OMG! even the bread is good! It' has a sweet flavor. I wanted to take some home. The parcha vinaigrette for the organic spinach salad was delicious and the bread was useful to sop it up with lol I ordered the lobster ravioli, which was perfect! The seafood was fresh and the dish was seasoned perfectly. My daughter ordered the half rack of lamb. OMG! It was so tender and seasoned well to me. She has to add a little salt to most foods smh. The flavor of the lamb and the sauce complemented each other well. She also liked the potatoes & mixed vegetables that came with the lamb. She said they were cooked perfectly and described the potatoes as buttery. She ordered a passion fruit mojito and said it was good. They didn't have any desserts we wanted tonight, pecan pie and an amaretto cake, really wanted the guava crème brûlée but no such luck. We were stuffed anyway so it's probably for the best. ‍ When I called I was told the menu online isn't accurate, so just know this when you come. You're sure to have a great dining experience accompanied by some lovely music and great service.

Yelp
We shower up for dinner to an empty restaurant with a few tables inside and out. We thought maybe we just came at a bad time, but it was Thursday at 7 pm. The server was very kind, and very talkative. We ordered the mahi served with potatoes and lobster ravioli. It took 50 mins (yes 5-0) to get our meal. The tuna was fine. The ravioli was very tasty. The old fashions we ordered were muddled so much that it basically had pulp. The bottle of wine was $$$ and not very tasty, which I know isn't their fault. To top it off, we decided to go because it was a piano bar with live music every night after 8. We arrived only to find out the musician wasn't playing that night. I'm told he's very talented but we unfortunately did not get to experience it. I would recommend other restaurants we tried before I would eat here.

Yelp
We've been to Old San Juan many times. This night was a busy one, it was after 9PM and we had no reservations so we were turned away from almost every restaurant. Carli's looked bougie (which I like), so we walked inside and were seated within a few minutes. Great start! The service was excellent right off the bat with a guy named William. We ordered cod fritters as an appetizer and it was delicious. I played it safe with the alfredo linguini and jumbo shrimp and it was better than I expected. The sauce was very savory and the shrimp was fresh. My husband had blackened ahi tuna and he wiped the plate clean. Everything went great. We saw the owners and thanked them and then left happy and satisfied.

Geoffrey C.

Yelp
First things first: this place is not for everyone! If you require speedy service and/or you're looking for a quiet place to enjoy your dinner, this place is not for you. Go somewhere else. If you come here, you're making a night of it with the experience. Expect appetizers, dinner, drinks, and a dessert to take about 2.5 hours. The place is lively, it has great food, and has great music at night. The music isn't so loud you can't hear each other talk, but you have to speak up a little. Service is kind and they take their time. If Carli himself plays - like he did for us - you're in for a treat! I had the lobster ravioli and it was delicious. I also had a couple bites of my companion's half rack of lamb, was great! Their "Anthropolitan" was a star of my evening. Their "Rum Fashioned" was good but pulpy. The tiramisu was a bit unusual for me, and it's the best I've ever had.

Yelp
Nice restaurant. Food was great l as well waitress and ambiance. The waitress was especially accommodating and kept an alternative table as an option should our outdoor seating be tested by inclement weather. Great evening in San Juan.

Yelp
Talk about stumbling on a gem! This place has it all. Great food! Great music! Great drinks and a great service! The welcoming hospitality and cuteness of the restaurant really impressed our party. They were so accommodating and we got to meet Carli himself-what a treat! This is on our list for every time we visit! Thank you sooooo much

Nathaniel S.

Yelp
Now the owner has replied claiming it's fabricated. Hatefully crafted, no- emphatic, certainly. Avoid! *** A disappointing meal, atmosphere and service. Dined here with my fiancé, both meals and drinks were poor quality. She had the seafood pasta, shrimp was over cooked, tough and flavorless; sauce left a significant amount to be desired. My lobster ravioli was rubbery and served lukewarm at best, a mysteriously fishy flavor revealed itself as the lobster raviolis revisited me at 4am. The music was on repeat and felt like torture with a single unsettlingly loud speaker aimed directly at our table for 2. Service was slow, mojito was sweet and weak, traditional pina colada was overwhelmingly sweet and similarly weak. Asador blew this place out of the water.
google avatar

Deb B.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in PR. Old time restaurant with good service and a piano player with great tunes. We shared a spinach salad as a starter. It was not a traditional spinach salad, but had mixed greens, two types of grapes and olives. Unusual, but it worked. I ordered a tuna steak with ziti that arrived in an unexpected way. The tuna steak was large and cut into nice wide strips. It appeared to have a spicy rub and was charbroiled. It tasted just like the finest fillet mignon. The ziti was tossed in a balsamic type dressing, which made it dark and delish. My husbands salmon dish was perfect. This is one place I would return to.

Yelp
What a memorable and fabulous evening. The food was absolutely delicious, grouper that was mouthwatering for me chicken Alfredo for him. The wine pairing of. Chardonnay perfect. The service was attentive but did not rush and was not overbearing. Carli's jazz piano playing was wonderful and he even played and sang happy birthday to my man which I did not expect. It is a small place so if you are going make a reservation in order to sit inside and hear this talented piano player. There is outside seating if you don't want to hear the music and the food is good enough to just come eat but you'll miss a dining enhancement second to none!

Yelp
Food is so good and owner will play some amazing tunes. Highly recommend the specials

Yelp
A very disappointing visit this evening. The "open" neon sign was lighted. The sign showing the hours of business said open until 11pm. People on the front patio were having orders taken and being served. However, when I walked in a few minutes after 10pm the bartender told me they were closed. It's pretty simple: if you say you are open until 11pm, don't close before 11pm. If you are going to close at 10pm, then put that on your sign. If you are closed, turn off the neon sign that says "open.

Yelp
zero stars !! Horrible service . So rude. From waitress to the manager . The macaroni had zero flavor, lemon n herb linguinie had no flavor , it tastes like water . We waited a hour and people were served before Us. Very races , very horrible .

Yelp
The restaurant that we were trying to visit had an hour and a half wait to we decided to just walk around and find a place to accommodate 6 people with no reservation. We had no idea if the food was good we were just starving after a long day at the pool. They sat us on the patio were they had live music. We had the cod fritters and risotto balls as an appetizer. The risotto appetizer was fantastic! My husband had fish and said it was cooked well but slightly bland in flavor. I had the lobster ravioli and it was AMAZING! It was so fresh and creamy. The kids had Carlis Mac & Cheese and loved it!

Yelp
This place was recommended to us. Good food and a nice, intimate, ambiance in a small room with a world class entertainer playing to a room of maybe 30 people. Fun, and worth the visit.

Yelp
We just stopped here because we were suddenly hungry. There was no place to sit but the bar. The hostess said you'll enjoy sitting there, the bartender is amazing. She was so right. Just watching him was a night's entertainment! And the food! I had spinach raviolis and they were the best I ever had. And we went to Italy this spring. The drinks were perfect. The food took a bit. It's not fast food, guys. But we didn't care because the drinks were amazing. We will definitely be stopping back by for a drink and at least a snack while here.

Yelp
Terrible service. We had a reservation for 8 on my birthday and they lost my reservation!!!! The owner was super rude and questioning an email HE SENT me with the confirmation!! So rude. DONT GO HERE Owner is rude and will treat you like second rate citizens. The owner needs to learn better business practices. He said to me "we get stood up all the time", as if it was my problem , while we were standing there in front of him with CONFIRMATION of our reservation in WRITING Edit to Respond to owner: what you are doing is called DEFAMATION and SLANDER. I hold a law degree from a prestigious law school in the US and it is ridiculous and borderline pathetic to that a business chooses to run their slum house this way. Sorry but at this point that is what your business is. Plain old TRASH and again bad business practices. And FYI Right of refusal is incorrect term to use in this instance and you can tell with your indecorous comments that YOU are a liar because you are contradicting in your own response. Where you trying to accommodate us or did you refuse us service? What you did refuse was to honor our reservation. Get your story straight!

Yelp
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU EAT AT CARLI'S. Don't be fooled by the ambiance, the music or the food. Carli, himself, is an surly Puerto Rican brute who threw is staff under the bus, wouldn't take responsibility for an unfortunate mishap, and almost got into a fist fight with my brother-in-law were it not for the police that HE summoned to the restaurant to ensure we were going to pay our bill. Quick backstory: my family of 15 (age range: 18-86) was visiting over Xmas break, so I made a reservation for 6:00 at Carli's, and was charged $300 to hold it. After three hours of walking around OSJ, we arrived at the restaurant right on time to discover there was no table available. (Apparently, the host had an emergency and didn't tell anyone else about our reservation.) The woman in charge (I thought another host, but I later learned she was just a server) indicated it would be another 60-90 minutes before we'd be seated; sensing our collective frustration, she said, "look, we'll get you some drinks, you'll hang out outside, and when we can put enough tables together you'll be seated." What I heard was that the restaurant was buying us a round of drinks to make up for keeping us waiting for what turned out to be 80 minutes. At the end of the meal (it was 9:30 at this point) the bill came: $872 and NO DEDUCTIONS (they later took off the $300 deposit). When I raised the matter of buying us a round of drinks given the mixup, the restaurant kept us waiting another 20 minutes until Carli and his belligerent wife came outside to our table with clear hostility. Two minutes later the police arrived. Carli explained that a reservation is NOT a guarantee that we will be seated at a specific time, yet he couldn't explain why I was charged a $300 reservation deposit. His wife kept yelling outrageous insults at us -- my 86 year old mom was aghast! Regarding the drinks, Carli turned to his server, the woman who tried to smooth out the reservation issue early on, and yelled, "if you want to buy them a round of drinks out of your paycheck, that's fine with me! Is that what you want, to buy them drinks?!" She was mortified. And when I asked why the police were there, he said, in no uncertain terms, that it was to make sure the bill was paid. When I mentioned that I would be leaving a bad review, Carli said, "I don't give a sh*t what you do -- your review is not going to matter." My brother-in-law continued to ask him about the $300 deposit, and finally Carli started to come after him fists raised; but for the two police officers who held him back, I'm sure he would have thrown a punch. I eat at nice restaurants all the time and there are many in OSJ -- in fact, if you want a great piano bar experience, go to the Cannon Club on Calle de San Sebastián, it's always wonderful with much better ambiance! Carli's proved to be the worst dining experience I've ever had, and that goes for all 15 of us. It's shameful that someone is so arrogant about his restaurant that he ignores basic hospitality and customer service. I would urge you not to indulge this kind of behavior and eat ANYWHERE ELSE other than Carli's. I'm just bummed I didn't record a video to put on TikTok, that might have shown him! BTW, if you look at the other one-star reviews they are all about poor service and rude behavior -- As they say, the fish always stinks from the head!

Yelp
Ate dinner here with my boyfriend on a Thursday night. We made reservations ahead of time, which was a smart move. I ordered the Mahi and my boyfriend ordered the Ahi Tuna. Mine was pretty good, however his was very cold in the middle. I'm a fan of ahi tuna, however I've never had a dish prepared where the middle was cold. It almost seemed like it was frozen and didn't have time to thaw out. Our server was great, but it took a long time to get drinks once we were seated. There was a man singing, but after 2 songs he stopped. We thought it was a bit odd since it's more of a piano/live music place.

Yelp
A true bistro, with service and ambiance combined with top-notch food and the best jazz in town.....5 stars for Master of Master Carli Muñoz . Julio Miranda

Yelp
Excellent meal, terrific ambience, delightful music, good service, everything you could hope for in an evening out. We chose to eat in but there was live music just outside with plenty of tables, and the night brought a cool breeze perfect to accompany any cocktail. They have an experienced bartender who makes an awesome, authentic mojito. The music through speakers could be heard inside the restaurant. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Service was unbelievably bad. The waitress was lovely but the owner is aggressively nasty. I've rarely had experience as bad as this place. Avoid at all costs.

Yelp
This was an awesome find in San Juan. The hostess was amazing and the food was delicious. We had the salmon and half rack lamb with rice and veggies as sides. I'd love to visit this establishment again. The ambiance was sooo romantic.

Yelp
Found this place by accident and last minute and I highly recommend if you want to experience an intimate date night vibe with live piano music! Also, I'm a picky eater and the food was amazing! Linguine with jumbo shrimp (garland herb sauce): 10/10 Rum cake: 10/10

Yelp
Delightful experience! Super friendly staff starting with the hostess. Sat at the bar since we didn't have a reservation. The atmosphere was great with live piano player. Fausto was an artist at work with the cocktails. Had Mahi Mahi and Grouper entrees. Food was great. Drinks were excellent. We highly recommend!

Yelp
Terrible service. We were 9, they seated us outside, and that was nice. When the waitress finally came gave us the menus, brought water for everyone, but never asked what we wanted to drink. Didn't offer drink menus, and we all would have ordered alcoholic drinks. She eventually got our orders for food, two of us wanted salads. After a wait we got our orders but the salads. One had to be returned because was cold. The salads didn't come until everyone had finished their meals! And not until we talked to the manager, that just gave excuses. We went looking for the drink menu, but by the time the waitress came to take the order everyone was done and too late. What a terrible end to our vacations in San Juan! And the food was bland, not a place I would recommend.

Yelp
Great food and convenient to the cruise port. Will certainly return next time our ship stops in PR.

Yelp
If you want a great place to relax and listen to a world class musician and have 5star dinning. This is the place to go. Awesome atmosphere and even better food and wine.

Yelp
A reservation was made over a week ago for a birthday party for 8. We get to the restaurant and they said they don't have it. We show them the email and the dumb a** possibly the owner says he can't do anything for us because people stiff reservations all the time?! What does that have anything to do with us?! Mind you we were punctual and the guy was so rude to all of us and did not care about our reservation or to accommodate us at all. It ruined my friends birthday. Thanks a lot jerk.

Yelp
Fantastic! Great, old school, classic fine dining and food. The drinks were next level good. World class, no joke, Mojitos. The Rum Old Fashioned was so good I had 2. While we were only there for drinks we ended up getting dessert. The tres leche and the cheese cake are all made in house and are the best dessert we've had in a long time. Plus Carli was there playing piano and it was a great time. I met a real life Beach Boy! Great atmosphere, great service and phenomenal food and drinks.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND!! We had reservations for 8 with an e-mail confirmation from the owner. When we arrived they did not have a table for us and the owner did not bother to accommodate us. He asked us for proof of the reservation and even then, he did nothing to accommodate us. On top of everything else he was extremely rude and combative as if we did something wrong. He has no idea how to run a business. Go somewhere else!

Yelp
As always the service is top notch! We spent 3 hours and we had live music from Carli (former Beach Boys pianist). Carrot soup: 5 stars. Never had it and it was good and well seasoned. Escargots: 5 stars. SUPERB! The butter sauce is thick and they use rosemary (which I like). The snails were very soft and like M&M's they melted in your mouth. Filet mignon: 4.5 stars. I always order this entree on this restaurant. Cocked to order (pink) but it lacked a tad of seasoning for my taste. When they brought the food, the vegetables and smashed potatoes were cold (sitting there for a while) and the meat was lukewarm. Carrot cake: 2 stars. Disappointing. It was not moist and had a strong cinnamon flavor. I always order créeme brûlée but they were not on the menu. Service: 5 stars. The server did a great job! The score

Yelp
I ate here with my family on a recent vacation when we were looking for outdoor seating and vegetarian options. Everyone loved their meals: cheese quesadilla, spinach salad, tuna steak, rack of lamb, linguini Del Mar and mahi mahi. The rum cake was pretty good (but I could've used more rum lol)!

Yelp
This restaurant was absolutely a find walking through San Juan. The atmosphere was a smalll jazz club with a terrific bar serving excellent mixed cocktails and was told by a local that the mojito's were to die for, so what's a guy to do but order a few and they did not disappoint. Mrs K stuck with her favorite, Long Island Ice Tea and she said that was one of the perfectly made one she has had, reminded her of the OBI, flash back Long Islander's. The Trio was dynamite playing some of the smoothest jazz and they never took a break. The food was delicious and fresh, serving steaks, chicken, fish, and pasta's. Deserts are homemade and we shared an incredible guava creme brûlée. This is a perfect date night spot in San Juan where customer service, great prices and some of the best jazz can be found. Highly recommend PS was told by one of the locals this place is owned by one of The Beach Boys but not 100 percent sure of that!!

Yelp
I'm going to keep it simple. This by far was the worst food experience I have ever tasted. This was my last night in PR dinner and I'm still in shock on how bad the food tasted. We tried 5 entrees - tuna, chicken apricot, seafood pasta, linguini with marinara and garlic herb sauce. I would stay away from this establishment for a few months after this post. Hopefully they change the way they prepare the food.
