I took my two daughter in laws out for a nice lunch for some much needed decompression time With how hard they both work and take care of my grandchildren, it was so refreshing to have amazing food with such wonderful service. Our waitress was so prompt and efficient. Both of them didn't bring their driver's licenses, so they ordered some non alcoholic margaritas and were raving about how amazing they were. We ALL needed this. Thank you so much!!

The Carlos & Harley's Fresh-Mex and Bar restaurant is an Eden, Utah, town landmark. The original building was build as a General Store back in 1881 and is still a place of nostalgia and heritage. The restaurant has kept the rustic look and offers good mexican-style food. Ambiance, service and food are good. The plate of chips and salsa was good, but did not come as a compliment, you have to order and pay for them. It is a nice place to stop while driving to Huntsville, Nordic Valley, or Wolf Creek. Recommended.

Carlos & Harley’s never disappoints. They seated us quickly, the service was attentive, and the food was excellent, just like every other time I’ve been here. I’ve visited several times and am always impressed with the consistent quality and flavor of their dishes. The atmosphere is great, especially the outdoor seating area, which is one of my favorite spots to enjoy a meal.

The atmosphere is really good. The service great. Everyone one was really friendly. The jalapeño poppers were 10/10 fresh and sizzling. But the other food was kinda cold. It's tough cause you can see the potential of this place, but the execution is just not there. The chimichanga was really good, especially covered in pablono sauce. The enchiladas were pretty mid, which if I'm saying that it means something. Hahaha. Desert was mid.

What a surprise! We randomly found this place after a day at the lake. Excellent food and excellent service! Adored our wait staff and adored our enchiladas. Thank you!

The service was great and the restaurant is pretty cute but it’s way overpriced! I was there with a group and we all ordered different things. We ordered the carne asada tacos, the chicken tacos, shrimp tacos, and enchiladas. The only thing that we got that we thought was worth the price was the coconut shrimp tacos. I’m sorry but $18 for 3 small street style tacos was practically highway robbery, especially since that didn’t include the side of rice and beans which was an extra $2. Also the tacos weren’t that good. Way too much sauce so they fell apart when you try to pick them up. Honestly, just save the money and go somewhere else or make the same thing at home for half the price. Great service but the food really wasn’t good.

Really enjoyed the enchiladas, carne asada tacos, Cabo shrimp tacos, and even the kids Mac n cheese and chicken tenders were good. Tried the shrimp taco again but it was different this time. See picture comparisons. Update: Chile verde burrito was amazing. It's only a special, but they should do it every Friday or some set cadence because I want it again already! 😂

This is my first time coming here. I've heard good things. Apparently, things have changed. We walked in to short staff, on a very slow day. Still had to wait for a small table to be wiped off, or even to be seen. The manager, I'm assuming, was at a table chatting with someone as his staff were visablly stressed out. Finally got seated but was not asked for drinks or appetizers. Instead, we waited again, for a good 10 minutes, still not busy. At that point, I was going to just up and leave. Server finally came with water and asked for our drinks and appetizers. It's a guessing game with the drinks, since they can't give a proper list for customers to choose from on their simplified menu. It took another 10 minutes for the nachos to come out and we had to ask for our ONE plate we ordered, to go. So, in total, me and my wife waited about 45 minutes till I said to pack everything up. Food? Good. Service? Needs desperate work Atmosphere? Quit simplifying and modernizing town staples Lastly, management? Either the owners need to look into it, or the owners need to look at how the entire establishment is being run but managers and staff. Good place. I'd probably only order takeout. Oh! One appetizer, 2 drinks and 1 plate? Close to $100. Would show you, but their receipts couldnt print, convenient, right?

First time in Eden, so found out food options are limited. However, was very glad to find this place via friends' recs even if it was pricey. The chips, guac, & quesadilla were pretty yummy. Thought the Carne Asada tacos were decent (kind of chewy meat). The skinny margarita hit the spot and was not overly sweet! Would come back and try the enchiladas or burrito.

This used to be my go to place to eat in Eden. Since new ownership, The food has become worse and the service is horrible. I went there with a friend 2 days ago. We waited a half hour for a wait staff to at least acknowledge we were there. Nothing. Ill never go there again. NEVER!

Loved this place! I assumed there was no good food or service in Eden but then I found this place. The food was so good and the service was good for Eden. The waitress was great but handling the whole place by herself, she was a champ keeping up with everything. This is definitely my new spot in Eden

Molcajete is delicious!!!! Enough to feed three people. Highly recommend. Wash it down with a house margarita and a modelo with a lime. I'll be back.

Seriously OVERPRICED. It was 20 bucks for a bowl of soup, ice tea and chips Let us know you charge for chips next time, okay? Nobody was there. Just there for the rip off on the ski crowd. NOT GOING BACK!

Found this place when we were out for a drive .. wish we wouldn't kept driving! Atmosphere of the place was very nice n they have patio dining. We ordered the appetizer n when it arrived it was wrong. They were replacing it and brought or meals... totally screwed hers up! We just canceled her food N left.

I keep thinking this will get better but it doesn't. Today's veggie tacos included only one ingredient from the menu description. The kid chicken tenders were so overcooked but the service was so slow that we didn't dare risk sending back and deal with a hangry kid. The nachos were dry and unimpressive. I really wish as a local resident , that this place could get it together. But I won't be back for a while !

This place is off the hook. Alexis took great care of us, and the molcajete was straight from Park City. Great local vibe, and views out every window. 6/5 stars!!!!

Food is good but they charge for chips and salsa. Even crappy Mexican places include this with your meal. Carlos and Harley's is not good enough to pull this kind of garbage. Shame!

Food is horrible and not worth the experience. This use to be an amazing place. But it has slowly gone down hill over the past years. We keep trying it and trying it. But are disappointed every time. It's too bad.

Very nice place, love the feel of this restaurant. Our waitress Heidi was awesome. I had the fried green tomatoes & the watermelon salad! Both were excellent, definitely recommend this one.

We had been here once before. It was ok but we remember the rice being crunchy. Well this time it was for a family members birthday party. We were a party of 13 with 5 of them being children and we sat out on the patio. Our waitress was great, super friendly. But my husband is very specific when he orders... he wanted a plain chicken taco with meat and cheese only, and a bean and cheese burrito with cheese on top... well the taco came out with pico in it, so she said just keep that one and I'll have them make a fresh on. We had also ordered 3 Mac n cheese kids meals but they came back and said they only had enough for 1 Mac n cheese and we needed to pick 2 other kids dishes which became an issue with the kids. Well his burrito finally came out and was covered in sour cream which he will not touch. The waitress took it back and brought him out "another" burrito. Which he's positive was just thrown under the boiler with cheese on top to cover the sour cream. He wouldn't touch it. Come to find out the burrito that was supposed to be just a bean and cheese burrito had rice in it too.... Our bill with the $30+ added gratuity was almost $200.... And that is the last time we will be there. No Mexican food is worth that when they can't even make a simple bean and cheese burrito.

Food, great! Service, garbage. Ambience, cute. Service... not for it. 9/10 times they're just rude. Plain and simple.. I get you can have an off day but it's been the last 3 times I've gone. I got a box thrown at me to put my kids leftovers in..? And They'll just charge your card without you seeing the bill as well. Just not for going there anymore due to that. Shame tho cause the shrimp tacos YUM. Shout out to the chef

Vegan!? I felt punked in my experience here. When we arrived I asked the Waitress Brandi specifically to make sure that my food was Vegan. At first she seemed sweet. But soon I realized she was manipulating us into purchasing her kitchen mistakes. ALL my food was wrong. First I ordered a Pina Colada and was brought a Strawberry Daiquiri that had whipped cream mixed into it. She gave me the impression that it was a strawberry colada but since it was the only thing I ingested at Carlos and Harley I know it had dairy because I was sick for two days. Then she brought me my "Vegan" nachos smothered in cheese and sour cream. My husband was taken by Brandi and was nice enough to eat her mistake and order me another Nachos. Lastly Brandi brought me my "Vegan" enchiladas smothered with cheese. She than claimed there was a conversation with the kitchen and they thought Vegans ate cheese, milk, and FISH!!? The worst part was I was so excited to try this place. Brandi seemed like a friendly professional but turned out to be manipulative and incompetent. She kept trying to serve me food that she knew was not Vegan and feigned ignorance of Vegan options. This place should not claim to offer Vegan options. The only thing I can compare this experience to was being served meat at a BBQ. This experience was utter cruelty. To make things worst Brandi had the audacity to ask if we wanted to join their rewards program and welcome us to return. She was being extremely sarcastic in a fake nice mean girl way. Vegans run far from this place it is not a good place for anyone who is plant based.

Really disappointed. After heading into the restaurant last night at 8 PM, and seeing the patio open with at least three available tables. and having two other groups immediately sat in front of us, the hostess told us it would be least 45 minutes until they could seat us. I asked if we could just sit on the patio and order drinks to keep an eye on our bikes and was told that was against policy. After suggesting that the policies be discussed with the manager, we decided to go somewhere else and the hostess seemed just fine with that. I was so excited to try this restaurant in Eden as we hadn't been. Now I don't think we'll be back with other good choices around. I'm sure they're fine with that, until other locals stop going because they get the same treatment.

Holy Smokes!!! The Habanero Mahi Mahi tacos are to die for!! Delicious and fresh! Didn't taste fishy whatsoever!

I've been coming here for years and always have ordered the same menu item "enchiladas". Last time I came it was under the new owner and the enchilada sauce was so bad it was enough to keep me away since last year. I decided to give it another chance tonight.... fail! Still exactly as last time. This is not enchilada sauce in my opinion. I can't say anything about other menu items but at least for the enchiladas I don't recommend. The red sauce definitely needs a makeover. Not the same as it was under the previous owners and not a traditional red sauce. I will come back but never their enchiladas again. The service has always been great here and I enjoy the atmosphere in the bar area.

Friendly service, and good Mexican food. Chimichanga was substantial, and house margaritas a good deal. They have a hotter salsa you can ask for, really good. Unfortunately, seated right under their loud speaker meant listening to explicit lyrics all dinner long with our kids. Not my scene, but if you dig F-bombs with your chips, maybe? Whoever picks your Spotify list needs to keep that in the back.

The food is good (it gets worse every time we go) and staff fairly friendly. The service is ridiculously slow. Over the last 3 times we have been, you can expect to wait 30 minutes after being seated before a server comes to your table. Someone brought water after about 20 minutes, but we waited over an hour for our guacamole appetizer and only got it then after flagging down a waitress to ask about it. Expect to be there for at least 2 hours for a simple taco/burger dinner. It used to be our favorite spot, but we won't be back anytime soon.

It was a beautiful day sitting out on the patio. We had our adorable four year old Pomeranian with us. We ordered drinks and the bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers for an appetizer and Tiradito De Atun plus seafood enchiladas for brunch. The food was delicious and Alexis was an amazing server! We definitely will come back and highly recommend!

Got into Eden and we were hungry and needed a cocktail after our long drive. This adorable restaurant popped up and we are so happy we did. Friendly staff and the salsa is delicious. If you aren't familiar with Utah laws, there is a separate bar from the restaurant, but you are served cocktails in the restaurant (thank goodness). We had an amazing server names Sequoia. If your in the neighborhood and need a good drink and food, I would stop here first! Oh and this last piece is my favorite the artwork is cute!

Terrible service waited outside for 15 mins. No water or menus we were freezing and they told us no tables available inside the restaurant. We decided to leave. Would not recommend.

I'm going to review them bc they have improved a lot! Yes the prices are expensive... but it's a local sit down place and the redecorating has really elevated this place! I brought a huge group in and asked them to reserve an area for us and they accommodated with no problem! Jake is awesome! And so helpful! The green iguana drink is delicious, can you serve by the pitcher?? Haha Love the soup (it does taste a little like the sea so be prepared for that! But I actually like seafood so it wasn't a problem, my husband doesn't and wasn't expecting those flavors...) The carnitas are good but I do wish they had a sauce or something that they came with. Maybe an avocado, cilantro, lime sauce... I have a great recipe of ya need one! The fajitas are pretty much the same, good amount of meat on the full order, skimmed a bit on the cheese but it's fine..I got over it haha Overall the food has really improved, I LOVE the new layout and decor changes and we had no issues with the service at all!

Cool Building and nice location with a welcoming atmosphere. Very friendly service. That's about the only positives. Two of us ordered tacos for lunch at $17. For three tacos with a choice of 3 different meats. A side of rice and beans were extra and chips and salsa were also an additional charge. Well if the meal was served warm it might have passed for possibly 2 stars, but it was all cold. The place wasn't busy at all, actually more help than patrons. The filling was quite bland, almost flavorless and the lettuce was stale and brownish. The lime wedges l would trash, and the rice was overcooked to the crunchy stage.Refried beans were cold and in my opinion probably canned. One star is quite generous and only because the server was polite and attentive. My pets ate much better than l did today and rest assured I won't be back. One other positive the salsa was homemade and quite tasty.

Suggested by our B and B owner and we were not disappointed. The Tiradito de Atun appetizer is a must!!!

The food quality is superb! Chef Luis has the ability to transport you to Mexico with his dishes. The service is friendly and courteous. The place has different areas to cater from families to sitting on the bar. My favorite dessert is the flan Estrella.

The service was not great. It took them an hour to bring our food out. My friend and I ordered the same cocktail- a prickly pear margarita and they brought me the wrong drink. When we pointed it out the waitress refused to bring me the correct one saying she couldn't because we were in Utah. We sat for 10 min after everyone was done eating looking for the waitress to get our checks and when she finally came she had added a large group gratuity to our group of 7. Not impressed!

Food was good, service was okay. But the check out process was bad. You get a digital display thrown in your face without a receipt. Waitress fails to tell you about the 20% gratuity and on the device it's asking for a tip (again) I wasn't "taken" but other people in our group of 6 ended up double tipping, netting the waitress probably $40. Way to keep it classy. I'll probably be back but I will never tip here again.

We were going to stop by for a beer and a taco after golf. Arrived at 7:35 to sit at the bar. They refused to seat us, as they were closing at 8:00. They said there was a wait list, but not a person in sight was waiting, and lots of open tables. We are fairly regular diners, and were disappointed.

Our experience last night at Carlos & Harley's was far less than acceptable! The waitress claimed that 2 workers didn't show up for work but I think that is more than that. Dirty dishes were everywhere with every unattended table filled with dirty dishes. Food service was extremely slow and the Mexican meal was among the worst I have ever eaten. The only redeeming value was our waitress (Alicia) who tried real hard to make the meal as normal as possible. We won't be back until major changes are made, either another ownership change with commitment to improve or major overhaul of the management. Either that, just shut it down!!

We had a group of 10 with a 6:00 reservation. When we arrived, they were immediately rude and told us they couldn't seat us yet. We finally got seated at 6:30 and sat for a good 20 mins without even getting water. Our waiter was the bar tender, and it was his first time waiting tables. It took a while to get our order down. Two people, including my wife, never got their food at all, and one didn't get his beer he ordered. The manager came out and started yelling at us for making our waiter tear up, and all we did was ask about the orders. She never even asked what the problem was. We will never go back!!!!

We were looking for a place to watch the Super Bowl, and folks were saying that this place had TVs. They sure do, and from every angle! It's a very "hole in the wall" type of place; eclectic and fun to look around. It used to be a general store in the 1800s, so lots of history here. The food was much better than I expected, all of their meats were super delicious, the fajita beef was flavorful tender and full of peppers and onions, and the other steak taco was also good. The only thing that wasn't loved fully with my friends chicken fajita, she said the chicken wasn't the best she's had, but she still ate it all. The drinks are very reasonable as are the food prices.

We've been going to Carlos and Harleys's for lots of years, but our most recent visit there was not up to par. We waited for a very long time for our food, and finally discovered that our order had been taken to the table next to us, and they had already started enjoying it. When they finally did bring our order, it was still wrong, but we just went ahead and ate it. The service was fairly marginal and the food. nothing terribly memorable as Mexican food goes. In the past, they would bring a lovely chips and salsa Flight with like four different salsas. Now, they give you two red salsas, claiming one is regular and one is spicy, but they tasted identical. For the delay and general inconvenience they did not charge us for our chips and salsa. I feel like a more significant discount would have been more appropriate. The one bright spot was that our house margaritas were very tasty and reasonably priced. Hopefully this night was unusual and we will definitely give them another chance.

Food was fantastic and tasty! Super in love with the cheese queso dip!!! We will be going back here next time we are in town!

What a hidden gem!! I've lived in Ogden most of my life and I've never been here before, and I can't wait to come back. The bar area is huge, a great spot to watch any games or have a big group of people. I highly suggest the chili Poblano soup with crab meat, it's thicker and loaded with flavor! We also got the Cabo shrimp salad with the tequila lime dressing and 3 street tacos (shrimp, fish, asada). I tried to convince my wife to order more tacos to take home because they were so good. Don't hesitate to try this spot especially after a day of skiing at powder mountain or Snowbasin!

Pros: Great ambience, clean, most staff was friendly. Food was great though pricey for product. Cons: our server took forever with everything. He seems easily distracted. The person who brought our food had to get our drinks for us. They were sitting up at the bar. I ordered flan 1/2 way through our meal, we had been finished for a long time and it never came. Had to request to check out and at that time requested flan to go. Finally had to go find the server and stay with him until he put the flan into a to go box. My drink said it came with peaches but there were none. There was the peach purée at the bottom and it was good. My carne asada tacos said they had melted cheese in them but they didn't have any cheese. They were very good but I really like cheese, especially melted cheese.

Best pablano salmon recipe ever! The cream sauce over the rice was so flavorful and the salmon just melted in my mouth. The Carlos margarita is the best.

Fish tacos are good. The red enchilada sauce is awesome, especially compared to the orange-ish bland sauce most restaurants in Northern Utah have. Dining area is a little cramped but service is pretty good. Will definitely be back.

My GF and I made a 7pm reservation for 8/31. We show up at 6:55 and the hostess greets us with a smile and proceeds to sit us outside (which we preferred). At 7:05 another couple gets seated by us and are immediately greeted by a server, who takes their drink and appetizer order. We have yet to get noticed by 715 (not even an acknowledgment of we'll be right with you). At this time the couple get their drinks and appetizers, meanwhile we don't have a server who will bring us a glass of water. In all this time I'm trying to get the attention of anybody and it fell on deaf ears. So we start to walk out and finally a lady stops us on the way out and says "I'll be right with you". I said we're leaving and she says okay goodbye. This was the 2nd time this summer we had a bad experience there with service , as their excuse was the kitchen was behind and the server was told not to seat any more people. I think the most frustrating part is I emailed the GM of the restaurant twice and she hasn't even responded . I can inly guess that the employees of this restaurant take on the personality of leadership. Needless to say, we used to love this restaurant but will not be returning.

Beer? Great. Could be colder. Seafood enchiladas? Great! Good flavor; chunks of seafood. Mahi mahi tacos? No way. Dry as a bone. The server (didn't get his name-used to be the sous chef, he said) was excellent. The water had no ice. They have remodeled since we were here last. We were in an odd room with about 6 tables. The waitress had to kick open the door to get to the patio numerous times. We looked into the 'main' room before we left, which was more our idea of the place: open to the bar. If we come up again, we will ask to sit there or the patio. It's fun to come up the canyon and open on Sundays, so we'll probably try again!

Came here for lunch with some co-workers and the food was Awesome!!! I had the Al Pastor tacos and loved them! The chips and salsa were also really good, better than most places. I will say the service was really slow. I was surprised how slow it was, but the food was worth the wait.

We visited on a night where the restaurant was short staffed but our server, Olive, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The food was amazing. 10/10 would recommend to anybody

We're in the middle of nowhere, so my 5-stars wouldn't necessarily compare with the big city that has lots to choose from. We've been here twice and found both times that it's a solid Mexican joint. It's filling, tasty, and priced right for what you get. We've never had to wait for a table and have encountered nothing but pleasant staff.

start off with i've been coming here for years, and it's gone TO SHIT. first, THE WAITER LOST OUR ID'S? wtf And the hostess said the bar was full yet sat people at the bar after we asked? lame. no jalapeño poppers, they didn't even have the special they were advertising, lol. waiter was weird too, i tried to order a beer said he was out, asked for the beer menu, couldn't get the menu and then he told me what beer to order. i got a margarita too he said it was the best in utah, he lied. ALSO! the tip, it was suggested to tip 25%.... really lol after that no way. heard one of the waiters say "is this edible" lol won't be coming back this place SUCKS!!

I came back after a few years, and wow has the quality of the food improved! It's expensive, but the portions are worth it. The best thing on the menu by far is the molcajete, and it's definitely enough to feed two or three people. The views are also beautiful, so I always recommend sitting outside when going to the valley.

Cool Mexican place in Huntsville but not sure how the food is. We sat down and waited several minutes before seeing a server. Finally got to order drinks and food. The place was busy but not crazy busy. After nearly and hour passed and still no food we checked again with the server and she said it was coming. Then when we saw two tables seated after us get their food we were done. 90 minutes later and all we had were drinks and chips. Very disappointing visit.

We used to come here all the time on our motorcycles about 2-3 years ago. I was never overly impressed, but the location was good and a fun patio. We came back last night after not going for along time and WOW. Blown away. It was a Saturday on a 'holiday' (Pioneer Day) weekend and so there was a long wait, but the hostess was very organized and nice. The menu has changed to include a LOT more vegetarian items. All of the staff were VERY nice and attentive and the whole vibe and ambience was great. I am DYING for more of the jackfruit, perfectly seasoned and great texture. Only improvement would be to add more bathrooms and maybe add live music! Great work!!
