Staff are always attentive and helpful. There are so many amenities to enjoy with best being the close beach access and well kept pool, adult Jacuzzi, morning coffee in the lobby. Sylvia from security went well out of her way doing a fantastic job in her duties and making guests feel welcome, for my family especially. In addition, Elba and the housekeeping team are prompt, efficient, and do a great job keeping the linens, towels, and rooms, clean and comfortable. Let me in screw is always working diligently to make repairs and keep the facilities looking and functioning well and we appreciated their work. Deep thanks to everyone, we will be back. Highly recommend.

I’ve been coming to the Carlsbad Inn since I was a kid, and it’s truly a special place that keeps me coming back. The location can’t be beat steps from the beach and right in the heart of Carlsbad Village with shops, restaurants, and everything you could need nearby. The property has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s beautifully maintained with charming grounds, a cozy courtyard, and plenty of spots to relax. Whether I’m here for a family trip or a quiet getaway, it always feels like a home away from home. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, and the staff is consistently friendly and helpful. There’s just something nostalgic and timeless about this place. It’s been a part of my life for years, and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Carlsbad.

Many times coming to this resort. Every time exceeds expectations. Staff is great. Amenities are great (not to mention the beach is just steps away)! It’s the best checking out all the beach toys at the beach not having to carry everything from the room. Kudos to our housekeeper, Laura, who did a terrific job at keeping us clean and tidy! This place never fails to delight |Jeff

We have the best family time every year at The Carlsbad Inn! We love everything about it. The green area is great for kids, family, and just relaxing. The pool is great for before or after the beach, or anytime in between! And the staff keeps it so clean! Housekeeping department has kept our room and towels fresh and dry! Miwa Ke & Elba have been fantastic!

We had an amazing time staying here. The location is perfect, right across from Carlsbad beach. You will receive a parking permit upon arriving which is necessary to park in the lower garage. There are activities daily. The units are pretty nice we stayed at one on the ground level. Plenty to do for our teenagers. Pool and table tennis. There is an adult only hot rub which was a nice touch. We met several people who live nearby but come for a staycation. Which says a lot. The outside communal area is very clean and taken care of. There are several grills to use if you wanted. We met Randy the General Manager and he was very nice and friendly. The female security guard does a great job making you feel safe. It would have received 5 stars but the maintenance to the unit needed to be done. Loose doors, broken toilet seat and fridge leaked water on the floor. Pro tip 7-11 is within a short walking distance to get your groceries. You are right in the heart of Carlsbad.

🏖️ Family Beach Getaway Paradise 🏖️ My family has had a timeshare here at the Carlsbad Inn for many years since my childhood and we've made countless treasured memories during our visits! 🌊 Perfect Beachfront Location 🌊 Being right next to the beach is absolutely the best part about staying here! We love waking up and taking just a short stroll to reach the beautiful California coastline. The sound of waves and ocean views make every stay special. 🏊 Excellent Amenities 🏊 The amenities at Carlsbad Inn are truly fantastic! From the well-maintained swimming pool to the comfortable communal spaces, everything is designed to enhance your vacation experience. We especially enjoy the BBQ areas where we've hosted many family gatherings. 🛏️ Comfortable Accommodations 🛏️ Our timeshare unit always feels like our second home. The rooms are spacious, clean, and have everything we need for a relaxing stay. Having a kitchen and living area makes longer stays so much more convenient than a standard hotel room. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Creating Traditions 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Coming back year after year has allowed us to create special family traditions that we all look forward to. We've watched the property evolve over the years while maintaining its charm and welcoming atmosphere. 💖 Highly Recommended 💖 If you're considering a beach hotel or looking into timeshare options, the Carlsbad Inn is an excellent choice! The combination of prime location, great facilities, and the ability to return to a familiar place each year makes it perfect for creating your own family traditions and lasting memories.

Our annual 4th of July stay at the Carlsbad Inn & Beach Resort, was absolutely wonderful! The grounds and amenities seem to get better every time we stay! This time, I need to give a big shout out to Theresa & Estella of the housekeeping staff. They helped find a lost item of ours and I so appreciate their efforts! Great job!

We recently hosted a corporate offsite at the Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort, and the experience was beyond perfect from start to finish.||Every detail was handled with care — from the thoughtful welcome notes in our rooms to the impeccable coordination of our meeting space, beverages, and setup. The team was attentive, professional, and incredibly kind throughout our stay. They were always one step ahead, making sure everything ran smoothly, and their warmth made a real difference for our group.||A very special thank you to Jeanette and Brenda, who supported us with everything we needed. Their attentiveness, kindness, and professionalism stood out from the moment we arrived. They truly went above and beyond, and we’re incredibly grateful.||The location is beautiful, the facilities are great, and the service is truly next-level. We couldn’t have asked for a better setting or team to support our event. I highly recommend Carlsbad Inn for anyone planning a group trip, meeting, or even a personal getaway.||Thank you again to the entire team — we hope to be back soon!|-Cassandra from Mexico

Yelp
Location, location, location! Did I mention location? The rooms aren't as nice as some of the other places to stay but the location is better than all of them. You have access to the beach, out the back gate and down the stairs. The main street is out the front door where you can eat and drink and still walk home. Getting back to the room; the mattresses are older and not comfortable. The kitchen is adequate albeit quite narrow. The coffee in the rooms is mediocre. The reception room downstairs is inviting with a fireplace and lots of windows and coffee/tea, or water. There are many activities offered, mostly for a fee. The grounds are pretty. Bottom line: You sacrifice the comfort for the location. And they charge over $30 a day for resort fees.

Yelp
What happened you guys? You guys were so amazing.... The customer service has gone down the drain. The property needs major renovations. Why is everything so dated. I've hollered at and hooted as by sales reps after having to continuously explain that I am already part owner with their timeshare program. The aggressive people in the bingo hall, the swingers trying to recruit by the pool and the hot tub. The age group used to vary here and now it's like the 55+

Yelp
Quiet and lovely little beach resort with many modernized points. Did I mention quiet? If you're not looking for all the bells and whistles and just want a nice place to chill out and vacation near the beach this is the place. All staff here were very nice and helpful. There is a gym, 2 pools, jacuzzis, and water play pad for kids. Right next to the tracks so if you're facing the city, there is noise from passing trains. There is also a weird scent in the air on this side. Have no idea if it's because of the construction that was going on. There is a tiny laundry room that's hard to find if you don't pay attention to the signs. Free private garage parking available for guests of the resort only.

Yelp
Great location and inn is nice and cozy. They have a nice pool area and walking distance to the beach. Rooms are clean and come with a fridge and Keurig with coffee.

Yelp
We rented a space above the news cafe for a week and the Carlsbad inn took such good care of us! We always had fresh coffee, hot water and ice water in the room, refreshed each day. The bathroom is clean and close to our room. We had a patio right off our room which was amazing for lunch breaks. We would sit in the sun and relax. The Inn is close to many, many restaurants so we could walk anywhere we wanted for a great lunch or dinner. Highly recommend for a private event!!

Yelp
Great location in Carlsbad. Because it is near Legoland, the area gets many families with young children (more so during the summer). It's still quiet and relaxing. It is a time share, but much better maintained than some.

Yelp
Had a DVD player go bad and called the desk, after 8pm. Alex came and fixed us right up, professional and so polite and friendly. They have SO many movies to check out at the activities desk.

Yelp
My family and I had a great stay at the Carlsbad Inn resort. It's a very close walk to the beach. You can check out chairs, boogie boards, ocean toys and towels. This makes it very convenient for a low stress beach day. The property is decent enough. Every day there are activities for adults and kids. It's a pricey stay but we all had a lot of fun. Today we went to check out chairs and they would only give us 2. Evidently there are chairs up in the room we didn't know about. It was a huge inconvenience and when you pay over $10k for a week it's ridiculous to not accommodate your guests. We have 4 people in our family and a friend today. Very disappointing.

Yelp
Returning after 4 years. How would i describe my experience. I first stayed at Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort few years ago. It was a reward to myself for graduating college and then jump straight into working. I gotta say, The Carlsbad downtown beach charm is still here. The location is awesomely convenience. 7-11 right across the street, alot of great restaurant in walking distance. The resort got a noticeable level of renovation. The lobby feels modern. The center garden is nicely done. The room offers great comfort. A quick walk on the beach is always great anytime. Though, the weekend breakfast is still lackluster. It need some proteins! Overall, i had a great weekend.

Henry U.

Yelp
Very nice and beautiful surroundings with plenty of things to do. The best part is walking to the beach.

Yelp
I had a nice weekend stay for the Carlsbad 5000 of 2024. I showed up about the 12:00pm hour Saturday. Room wasn't ready (as expected considering check in is 4:00pm) but I was able to get a parking pass and park my car below. I was told it would be ready in about 30 minutes, but I wanted to go to the expo to pick up my packet, and eat lunch. I returned about 3:00pm and the room was ready. I brought all my gear with me and the room was amazing. Room was clean and I had a pretty good view of the pool and lawn area for the guests who were staying there. My overall experience was wonderful and I look forward to returning for next years Carlsbad 5000 (maybe a visit before). Only thing I would say that caught me off guard is when talking to reservations the room had to be paid upfront. That's ok though because knowledge is power and it helps me to prepare a little better for next year. We'll see if I can get a few more to where maybe we can reserve a suite with a kitchen (if available). Maybe make use of the BBQ's that I saw when I was walking the resort checking it out.

Yelp
Beautiful location Beautiful property BUT ..... this is the NOISIEST HOTEL EVER!!!!! We could hear entire conversations from next door as if they were in bed with us. I feel a bit bad for them in the am because we were not quite last night, lol. The coffee machine was on the other side of the wall from our head and of course they neighbors woke up at 5 AM on a SUNDAY The walls are made of Paper!!! Even the door jam squeaked so loud it was a joke!!!!! Not sure if there is anything between the walls but air.

Bubba J.

Yelp
If you're looking for a quiet place to relax DO NOT COME HERE!!! This place is extremely loud with kids screaming, crying, running up and down the halls, slamming doors, adults talking loudly in the halls and courtyards. We stayed on the first floor so it's even worse. You can feel and hear the pounding of kids and adults walking and slamming doors. Of course there's quiet time from 9pm-9am but there's no one here to enforce that policy. My husband and I didn't get any sleep and are completely dissatisfied with our stay. We paid over $350 a night to stay here. We will never be back, so if you are the manager and read this review, I suggest you do not suggest us coming back again to make it right. You. A can make it right WITHOUT forcing us to come back to this playground. After reading previous reviews, it was clear to me that they don't do anything about the noise even if you complain. This place is a complete joke. I will bring awareness to anyone who is planning to stay in Carlsbad to avoid this hotel. This place is a complete joke. Service was terrible. They never came to our room to clean or bring new towels and scheduled. We had to grab towels from the housekeeping bin outside. The rooms were nice and had everything we needed except no house cleaning.

Yelp
I vacationed here for two weeks this past January; an ideal time of year to vacation in Carlsbad if it's quiet you like. It is a resort, so there are scheduled family activities each day, Fire pits in the court yard, A beautiful swimming pool, And an adults-only hot tub that is in a separate location on the property. Coffee and tea are available in the common area. A Mexican restaurant is next door - always very busy - loud with music and sports on the TVs. The suites have balcony's and each one provides an excellent sunset view. The beachfront is only a staircase away. You'll see the coast guard and some navy ships as the base in San Diego is twenty minutes south. You may also spot the Navy's Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawk helicopters flying up and down the coast. Just across the street from the resort, there are a couple very nice seafood restaurants, a coffee shop, a liquor store, a 7-11. A massage therapist is two blocks away. A bookstore is a short walking distance as well as Mediterranean food, breweries, shops, and even a pharmacy about a twenty minute walk (if you need to transfer your scripts during your stay). The resort is less than two hours south of Hollywood. Two hours or so from Palmdale/Edwards AFB. And only two hours from Palm Springs. The weather is usually perfect every single day.

Yelp
This hotel is lovely, very close to the beach, a few steps. We come to Carlsbad often & have stayed at Westin, Omni and Sheraton. This time around I wanted something by the beach, after a lot of consideration booked this resort. What I loved: *Next to the beach, so fabulous!!!!!!!!! *Beautiful and clean hotel grounds * Really nice front desk staff. *Convenient to have everything you need at the resort, pool, spa (family and adult only). On site gym, movies (DVDs), board games, activities, *beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, boggie boards, beach toys, all available for guests complimentary. * really nice courtyard to spend time in grassy area or by the Firepit, lots of sitting. *having a kitchen in the room is very convenient when you have kids. What I didn't like: *broken umbrella when I walked to the beach. Opened and it would stay up. I had to walk back and get another one. I hope they test those before handing them out. It was an inconvenience but acceptable. * elevator to the 3rd floor was not available and my room was there. Hotel is going through some construction. I had to carry luggage, backpacks, water case, etc on my own through the stairs. That was super hard. However, I did love my room and views. I wished I had help however carrying everything going up that stairs. *voice message left on my hotel phone about timeshare sales. Every day the phone was blinking with a message from them. No, thank you. *loud Ac, super strange noise when it starts blowing air. It woke me up many times. Would I come back, yes!!!!!!!. This resort is worth more visits. It is very well located, clean, safe, beautiful grounds, quaint vibe. We had so much fun and it is close to everything. Literally by the Carlsbad Village sign that is just outside the hotel doorsteps. So much fun!

Yelp
First off, I've been coming here since childhood and every time I'm on the grounds it fills me with nostalgia but also they've unkept the property very well over the years and it is just beautiful. You could'nt ask for a better location in Carlsbad and it is very family friendly. Most recently we were in town for a memorial, so definetly a bitter sweet time. I called the lobby to ask for a few recommendations and had the good fortune to get ahold of Jeanette Valdez, who went ABOVE and BEYOND to aid me with my request. She even took the time to email a response because she knew I would be mid travels and not available by telephone. Because of her our stay was even better than picture perfect and we look forward to returning here again and again. In today's world, customer service like hers is a rarity. The resort is lucky to have a dedicated and profession employess like Jeaneatte, and we were blessed to have her assistance. If I could give more than 5 stars I would :)

Yelp
We purchased a coupon for $15 that stated a free breakfast, it wasn't a free breakfast, it only took off $15 off the bill. False advertising.

Yelp
Came here for a "staycation" with my BF. As locals we were just really looking for some relaxation away from work and chores. We travel quite a bit both domestic and international and so rarely take advantage of the beautiful area we live in. Parking and check in was super easy. The courtyard is nice and has lots of areas to sit and relax with a partially obstructed ocean views. We saw a pod of dolphins swim by in the morning which was amazing. The rooms and bathrooms are large and clean, semi comfortable beds. However... The elevator situation was weird. We were on 3rd floor and staff/housekeeping were sharing the only elevator with guests. Every single time we had to use it there was a line of housekeeping that we had to wait on because their carts and supplies filled the elevator. Housekeeping staff were nice though, just odd to have to wait in a line to use the elevator. The "complimentary" breakfast was the most disappointing. Starting at 9am everyone hoards upstairs to a couple tables with fruit, pastries and juice. You see staff loading up peoples plates with multiple pastries (some guest's plates looked like mountains of food). By 9:10 they were completely out of food, with several still standing in line and I'm sure so many others not even out of bed yet. Location is awesome but their amenities need some rethinking and better management.

Armando O.

Yelp
We paid a lot of money to stay at this beach resort, we just checked in and there is No internet in the room. We would have to go downstairs to use our devices. This is very inconvenient for us. This resort is doing some upgrades and we were given a list of areas affected. This was ok, because we weren't going to use those areas anyways. It did not mention that there was only internet in the lobby. This is not going to be a good trip, we use our computers for personal and work, would have been better off staying at LaQuinta down the road. What a waste of money.

Yelp
Our friend suggested this location as a mini getaway during the Thanksgiving break. I have not been to Carlsbad since we had season passes to Legoland when my son was a little guy. He's almost 25..so it's been awhile! This is one of the cutest resorts I have ever been in. The views, especially the sunset, were stellar. The grounds are beautiful with firepits, lounge chairs, heated swimming pool and a pretty nice size hot tub with a great view of the ocean! They have Happy Hour everyday and each day is different. The day we arrived, it was a wine mixer with crudite and various dips! The next night was margarita Monday...need I say more? We opted for an ocean view room and it did not disappoint! Rooms are undergoing some upgrades, but it was super comfortable! This hotel is also part of the Carlsbad Vacation Club, so there are also condos with kitchenettes! We rented bikes and you can also rent beach chairs and umbrellas and strollers! There is beach access also it's super convenient to walk down to catch the sunset! The Inn is in walking distance to lots of cool eateries..check out my other reviews!

Yelp
Update from 2007... still coming here with adult sons and their families... beautiful location courtyard has been remodeled a few years ago.. we were here when the room we're recently renovated.. nice and new for a couple of years.. but it's looking a bit beaten.. the guest staying here are pretty rough on the furniture and carpet... no need to be savages when staying here folks...enjoy but respect the place.

Valerie S.

Yelp
We have been coming to the Carlsbad Inn for close to 35 years. The property is perfectly located to restaurants, the village and the beach. You don't have to drive anywhere, it's all within walking distance from the inn. The staff were all very friendly. The only negative on our recent stay in room 262. The room is very spacious and clean, however the mattress was horrible. It was rock hard and we could feel every spring in our back. It caused a lot of pain in our hips and back. Hopefully management will read this review and consider replacing the mattress in this room.

Yelp
One would think that the customer service industry would be clamoring for great reviews after COVID nearly killed the hospitality sector. Well..... Carlsbad Inn Beach doesn't really care. Maybe they are just bad at showing it. I really wanted to give this place a chance to make things right. August 2023 was a special time for my wife and I. Our 10 year anniversary!! We booked 3 nights in a condo facing the water. When we arrived we were told that they had overbooked and our condo was no longer available. After a lengthy check in process trying to figure things out we were given a room in the main building... facing the street.. fun. Thanks for making my wife cry on our anniversary day. Trying to make this right we spent hours on the phone with "customer service". They ended up giving us a round of margaritas and chips at the attached restaurant, a breakfast next door, and "a free night in a condo at a future visit". We know the real reason we got that condo night was due to us acting interested in a time share... well, here we are 5 months later attempting to book a night or two to check things out.. give them a second chance at winning us over. Guess what?!?! The free night can't be used as it expires 8/2024 and they are "booked up"/blacked out until 09/2024. There are a LOT of great places to stay with ocean views in California... don't make this run down, crappy customer service place one of them

Yelp
This property needs a serious renovation and is not at all worth the excessive amount of money you will spend especially during the off season. We were placed in a room in the corner facing the street which unfortunately, is under construction. This means that it is loud, we hear workers yelling, and there is a metal plate covering a hole on the street and every time a car runs over it, it makes a loud banging sound (the banging is ALL NIGHT). In addition, you can hear the trains (the track is only a few blocks away) most of the evening. There is a strong odor of dampness in the hallways (needs some serious cleaning), the rooms are very dated (not at all charming), and there is a general feeling of it all just being dirty. Additionally, with the exception of one or two times, there was no one at the front desk when I walked by, morning or night. No visible security, no front desk attendant or security check-in- just a bell on the desk. The positive- location, location, location!
google avatar

Kodey C.

Yelp
Awesome property. Lots of things to do around the property with events daily to keep the adults and kids busy. Also literally across the street from the beach. Great walking distance from everything. Stayed for over a week and worth it! Will be back.
google avatar

Joshua H.

Yelp
The rooms are nice, the bed was comfortable, and the property has nice features, such as a pool and whirlpool. And you cannot beat the location, across the street from the ocean. However, the property could use some updating, and customer service was spotty. For example, the receptionist told us that our room would be cleaned and we would be given some supplies that we were missing. However, no one showed up to do these things.

Karen P.

Yelp
My first time here and upon check in i was informed water was turned off. To go to the restroom we had to go downstairs to activity center. We r seniors in our 70's and the activity center had 2 stalls. This went on for 3 hours until 7pm. Also the ice machines never worked. I will never stay here again!!
google avatar

Kololia P.

Yelp
It's beautiful and close to the ocean. It's Clean and close by to shops and the beach area downtown. My main issue is we were on the main bottom floor. However, the individual upstairs continues to walk back and forth ALL night long. We called main desk up front. However, no resolve. Such a nice place otherwise. I am beyond disappointed . We are here for a week!

Yelp
This should be a 5 star hotel easy . First of all it's classy it's elegant it's beautiful the staff is A-mazing. I would get married here if I could . This place is first class . The rooms the pool the grounds I want to stay all the time please come here . We usually stay at the palms down the street but I think this place has them beat

Deborah S.

Yelp
After many years of wonderful memories, this complex has become a disaster and a disappointment. We finally received agreement for them to take back our unit and now it's just more promises not met and more wasted money. Should have just defaulted on the unit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not sure if Randy will EVER complete the work. One promise after another that this major project is it. All they care about are the summer owners and their weddings!!!!!!!!!!!!

M S.

Yelp
This is quite possibly one of the worst hotel experiences ever. First of all, the hotel is crammed into a busy part of Carlsbad and its half hotel and half condos?! It's difficult to find any parking. I parked along a green curb and went in to ask if that was suffice and the lady said "yeah, we painted it the wrong color but it's ok to park there". I really didn't want to risk getting towed so I ended up circling around until I found a proper spot that was clearly for hotel guests but that was a hassle. Then at check in our room was not even ready! It seems they are understaffed and not prepared for spring breakers and with so many other options in the area I'd go elsewhere!

Patricia W.

Yelp
Turns out this is a timeshare pretending to be a hotel. There are signs everywhere you turn, trying to sell you a one week, once a year stay, just $4995.00. I'm waiting to hear an announcement for a mandatory four hour timeshare "no pressure" informational meeting for all guests. it didnt help that when we arrived the clerk told us the room was $320 a night. What about the $220 a night room on the hotel's own website, we asked. Visably flustered he gave us the $220 rate. Oh, but wait, with all the extra fees and taxes, the actual price is now $300. I'm no Elon Musk, I'm happy to pay my fair share of taxes, but the $30.00 "resort" fee? Apparently there is no way of getting around this, in spite of it being a downpour outside and no chance of using a beach chair or toy bucket and shovel. At this point in my life, a senior citizen with cancer I would gladly pay $30.00 to sit in the sand and then actually stand up from this sitting position. As that is not happening, I don't think I should have to pay the so called "resort fee". If you want to raise the room rates, go ahead, but don't nickel and dime me just to get every penny out of me through trickery. This sad room is in desperate need of a makeover. Unless you like beige of course. And if you do like beige, you will love the scuffed up trim, the funeral home window valances and the very strange bejeweled hand towel, left on the bed. To the cleaning staff I say good job, you are doing the best you can with what you have to work with. Obviously management doesn't have a clue. But as long as they're selling timeshares, they will happily take their bonuses. if you are in any way tempted to stay in this hotel, learn from my mistakes. Turn around and run to a chain hotel. There is a Marriott a block away. At least you will know what you are getting.

Yelp
Just spent 4 days here in town for a wedding. Booked mainly for the location and had worried some about a few of the negative comments on here, but we were quite happy with our overall experience, and would certainly stay here again. In fairness I would probably rate it a 4-1/2 if I could cause the rooms are a little bit dated, but the grounds are beautiful, the location can't be beat, and service was top notch. Having the beach chair and umbrella checkout was super convenient. They even accommodated our request for an earlier room cleaning service one day. Definitely deserves a better rating than it's got on here. And Carlsbad Village is just awesome.

Yelp
Brenda was great! Very welcoming, helpful and hospitable. We loved our stay :) Room was so nice, clean and comfy. Loved that the hot tub was open until 11

Yelp
This was one of the best places we have stayed in. It felt just like a second home because the kitchen contained everything you might need for a long stay. The showerhead was incredibly great it moves up or down sideways or it disconnects and has lots of pressure and very hot water. The view of the beach was ok from the balcony but we were hoping for a room facing the beach. Customer service was very polite and helpful but the only reason im giving my review this time is because to be forwarned they are doing contruction renovating the property so you might be woke if you plan on sleeping in.

Yelp
I love this place so much! We have been staying here for years. Lots of fun activities for the kiddos, the staff is helpful and rooms are clean. The property is quiet during "off times" which is nice since I have 3 little kids. The adult only spa is a nice way to wind down from the busy day at the beach. I have recommended this place to numerous friends and family members, it's a great place to relax and enjoy family time.

Yelp
What a nice spot. The Carlsbad Inn is super clean, comfortable and a great place for a weekend getaway. The rooms are comfy and the bathrooms are large. The service at the front desk was very friendly and the house keeping and room services were also great. This is a high dollar spot but they frequently have online deals on rates etc. The Carlsbad Inn is worth a stay!

Yelp
We have been here twice now and we always love the location. This time there was a ton of remodeling going on which was a bummer but everything else was wonderful! I love how close it is to the beach.

Yelp
We recently stayed a weekend here and it exceeded my expectations. Location Location Location! Close to EVERYTHING! We loved how it was right on the beach, right by the restaurants, literally across the sidewalk...right by an adorable ice cream shop and coffee shop. Clean! Most of all, I want to give a shout out to Teresa Leduc who found and returned my earbuds to me! She mailed them and wouldn't let me pay her back! Amazing staff! We will be back! Can't wait!!

Yelp
A few years ago when we stayed, it was definitely 5 stars all around for room, quiet atmosphere view, staff, cleanliness. 2020- A lot of demolition and remodeling outside. We should have asked for a discount. View of rubble, dirty floor with shoe prints that weren't ours. No pool, no grounds to stroll around on. Loud, obnoxious guests nearby, No problem with staff, check in was easy. It's a nice location within walking distance of beach and restaurants.

Yelp
Great location close to beach and downtown. Room was clean and spacious. Pool area is good and also the lawn area They have a Mexican restaurant next door as well as a cafe. Would definitely stay there again.

Yelp
If you want to check out 10 mins late that is an extra $25. If you want to check out 1 hour late that is an extra $50. They do not make any exceptions, even if someone is dying they will charge you extra. Kinda sad but it is what it is.

Yelp
Now the elevator is out on check out day. I'm disabled and the resort won't even lend a hand. I would have even paid for the help. Going up and down two flights of stairs is a no way for someone as broken as me. Avoid this property like the plague.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible. Worst vacation ever. I couldn't sleep due to non-stop construction noises and a hard lumpy bed that leaned to the left . The couch Lean Forward causing low back and hip pain. They refused to refund our money when we can't sleep due to construction all day. There was construction on both sides of Resort from 8am to 5pm. The staff was rude and didn't care at all. The general manager Randall Chapin was hands down the worst of all of them. He is mean, rude, incompetent & Refused to move us or even refund our money. He told us if we didn't like it we could leave with no refund. I am an owner that paid a small fortune for a two-bedroom and he's going to tell me that if I don't like the construction and jackhammering 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. everyday then I could just leave. Wow absolutely unbelievable. Save yourself the Nightmare and do not go.

Yelp
Unfortunate loud construction going on for a long time. That in itself wouldn't be so bad because of the awsome double pain windows and sliders that closed out almost all noise. And having someone in an elevator stuck between floors made it difficult at best to check out on time. Being that this is service field related place you would think they would put some of the best folks on the phone. I would rather hear "let's see if there's another way to help you rather than... "Well! You didn't ask that". That having been said. The front desk was amazing and Carlsbad is a great town to visit.

Yelp
We have stayed at so many places in Carlsbad but this was our first time here. I never booked before because the reviews were not too good. But overall I'm glad we finally tried it. The location was perfect and the grounds are beautiful. The pool, jacuzzi and fire pits were lovely. However the rooms are not up to standard of the current nightly rate. I hope there is a remodel scheduled in the near future. The gym and the parking situation are great. I didn't like that you have to go down the elevator to the garage to get a pool towel. This place is half time -share and half hotel, so many of the guest are staying long term. Overall I would recommend for location to restaurants and beach.

Yelp
Favorite local resort. Purchased a timeshare in 2021 loved it so much, purchased another week. Rooms are very clean, updated and comfortable. Staff on site helpful, many activities and gorgeous views.

Yelp
Dirty underwear left in my room. AC barley works. For the price they charge you'd think they'd at least clean dirty underwear up. Possibly the nastiest thing I've seen traveling for work. They have all this covid safety crap everywhere but can't clean crap stained underwear up?!? Then when I complain their only option is to put me in a worse room that faces the street on the first floor so I can hear all the Darrylick kids running up and down the hall all night. I was just speaking with my wife about staying here this summer with the kids but after this experience I'll stick with a different option. Disgusting!
