Stayed at the hotel for 3  nights but paid for 4 nights due to my flight arriving early in the morning and guaranteeing  i could check in early to my room.||Because of the thunderstorms when arriving the airport ground staff had to stopped working for the luggage till further notice, so I left the airport without my luggage and the airline would send it to the hotel when it was safely done, only had to wait for the rest of the day, the luggage was delivered around 7pm  and the hotel delivered to my room.||Check-in was quick and smooth. The room was ready from the night before, which was an advantage because didn’t have to wait til the normal check-in time || ||The room was large and comfortable, all in working order||I had access to the club lounge with my room, offering breakfast, all day snacks and drinks and evening cocktails, and somewhere to relax and watch the world go by, the staff in the lounge was really attentive and friendly and helpful.||If you wanted more choice for breakfast, the buffet was served in the main restaurant, plenty of choices and plenty of food to choose. Plenty of helpful staff to look after you.||Went to the rooftop bar for some drinks and food, amazing views , good food, good staff||Overall, it was a good place to stay ,great location walking distance to chinatown, maxwell food centre and the mtr was waling distance from the hotel.| excellent service and staff, and I would return in the future next in Singapore

I would like to commend Mr Bernard Chen, Ms Josephine and Mr Andy for their excellent assistance. When my friend’s reservation could not be located with the details I first provided, they went the extra mile to carefully verify and resolve the matter. Thanks to their persistence and professionalism, the Nonya snack gift I had arranged was delivered smoothly. Their courteous support, clear communication, and attention to detail left both myself and my overseas guest with a lasting positive impression of Carlton City Hotel.

Had a fabulous night there last night! Great little bar with fabulous views over the city. Bar Manager - Min Zin was very welcoming, efficient and made us feel very special! Highly recommend this bar and hotel! Would definitely stay again! We also received a Kahlua & Baileys shot to end the night with!!🎉🥂🍻💯💖

My favourite hotel for staycay. Been coming back to this hotel. Nearby CBD and Vivo City. Easy access to the MRT and bus services. The room and toilet is huge, I love the fast flow of the shower. Only no bidet.Check in process also smooth. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall is a good plc to stay.

Some of the things I liked/enjoyed about the room/hotel:- it has sufficient power points especially one each on both sides of the bed- HDMI port within reach in case you want to plug in your gaming console and iPad to use the TV as monitor- TV has variety of channels - The mini foyer in the room gives extra space if you want to put your bags/luggage - Mini fridge big enough to fit in around 12-15 cans of drinks- Hotel delivered a complimentary birthday cake Some things I disliked or didn’t enjoy:- The bed looks clean but while resting, I find that after awhile I got itchy - Mini fridge couldn’t fit in a regular sized birthday cake- Had slight problems using the TV remote buttons - sometimes it doesn’t respond to button inputOverall, it’s a comfortable room and I would consider staying again if the price was more reasonable. Saying this because I stayed in a better room for slightly less $$ so it’s something to consider.

We were fortunate to have stayed a few nights , we enjoyed it immensely, we found the whole experience to be of a high standard, warm , accommodating staff, exceptionally clean well sized room and bathroom ( Japanese bidet was a bonus )..! We found the housekeeping consistently good, the amenities well maintained ,great city views from the Club Lounge and fab cocktails by Kiki ! a shout out to Andy the duty manager for thoughtfully organising a room where we could freshen up after checking out before our flight home.!|Top location for great local food ( although no shortage of that in Singapore) , restaurants etc.. close to MRT if you don’t fancy walking…|To sum it up 10/10 !

Overall a very good hotel. I stayed on the club lounge package which had the nice added extra of a couple of free laundry items per day. Comfortable room too. My only small gripe is that the breakfast quality is only so-so.

Great experience at the Carlton City. Clean, big rooms. Nice staff. Good coffee shop in lobby (Justin provided great service). Rooftop bar is great. Pool was nice. Location off the metro was super convenient and we could walk to some great food. Would recommend!

Yelp
The lobby of the hotel was opulent and nicely decorated. However, the staff at the check in counter was subpar. They assigned the same room to me and another guest without knowing it. Instead of being apologetic, the staff blamed us for crowding her counter - and made us moving to the sofas in the lobby. We waited over 20 mins in which she handled other guests before getting to us again. I don't know why she had a bad attitude and pissed at us as she was the one who made the mistake. This hotel made a very bad first impression - paying over US$200 a night for an very unprofessional welcome The room was okay and clean. The hotel was close to multiple hawker centers and convenience to the metro station. I had no complaint about its housekeeping. I would never come back to this hotel nor I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Yelp
This is a fantastic hotel, well located in Singapore. I've stayed at this spot a few times and have always received excellent service. The rooms are always clean and spacious. The pool is great since there's great options for shade and sun depending on what you're looking for...you get great city views and creates for an urban oasis. There's a subway/metro station close by so it's easy to get to other spots around the city.

Yelp
It was not a comfortable stay. Something in the road made us itch and hence we're not able to sleep the whole night.

Yelp
Within walking distance of the financial district is Carlton City Hotel. This is a brand new hotel (or feels like one). Careful, taxis aren't quite familiar where it's located. Be ready to tell them it's at 1 Gopeng st. and not the Carlton Hotel (another district). This is a beautiful building that has a fresh, updated and chic feeling. The gorgeous chandelier in the lobby sets the stage for the rest of the hotel. The rooms are modern and accommodations very comfortable. It's outfitted with a pool and mini-gym that never was busy. The high rise bar is worth checking out for the views as well. The staff were extra accommodating, but one occasion I was misunderstood and given a 'yes' answer out of politeness. The front desk was pretty slow in servicing the line that was there for check in and check out as well. Other than this, I'd say everything went well!

Yelp
Super nice, clean and convenient location. It's right across the street from a huge mall with food courts, access to the metro. The room was clean and spotless. We had a great stay!

Yelp
This is a modern and recently updated hotel in Singapore's Chinatown. Only 1 1/2 short blocks away from the subway, the Tanjong Pagar MRT Station, so it's very easy to get around on public transportation from here. Within a 10 minute or so walk from the Maxwell Food Centre. But it may be hot and humid, so getting around in a taxi is another option. Also, the hotel is close to a variety of eateries, from the inexpensive, to bars and nicer restaurants. Some very quaint streets with traditional architecture and hip places to shop and eat. Including some nice bookstores. And there are also convenience stores and neighborhood shops nearby, where the locals frequent. A block over is a modern mini shopping center with more eateries. You can get your morning kaya toast and kopi and runny eggs there in the air conditioned building, while planning out your day's activities. The basic room we stayed in has high ceilings and comfortable beds. So good to come back to a room with air conditioning and shade from the heat and humidity. The bathroom has a standalone shower which has a handheld shower head plus a rain shower. It's high enough for the really tall guests. There is also a bathtub which has a window into the bedroom, but don't worry, you can pull down the shade. A good sized room for 2 guests. There's also a ledge against the window to sit on or place your bags on. Always good to have the extra space for your travel gear. We didn't opt for the higher floor, and thereby higher priced room. I believe higher floor rooms have access to a lounge, too. No views, but we aren't here on our first visit to Singapore to stay in the room. So much to see and food to eat during a short stay. The rooms are reasonably priced, you can book them through travel search engines to compare prices. Very nice service at the front desk, too. A nice place to stay in Singapore if you don't need to be close to somewhere else otherwise.

Yelp
Great hotel for business trips! Hotel is brand new and proximity to the financial district is great. Proximity to nice restaurants in Duxton Rd is a plus. Staff were friendly and accommodative. Room was super clean and amenities meet expectations. Will be definitely staying there again on my next business trip. Highly recommended.

Yelp
We booked at Carlton City Hotel for 12-15 July, purchased on Agoda.com. My travel partner and I could not travel due to an injury that has made me unable to bear weight on my right foot. I want express my disappointment in your hotel's response to this situation. Although the booking was non-refundable, I am surprised you do not have a provision for special circumstances such as an injury. For example, Singapore Airlines kindly waived our rebooking fees when we presented them with proper documentation of the incident. However, your representative only deflected us to Agoda when we called, and then the hotel declined our request when Agoda attempted to cancel our booking. True hospitality is revealed in situations like this, when you have the opportunity to help someone, even though you are not obligated to do so. We were excited to stay at the Carlton and would have happily rebooked at a later date if you would have extended that courtesy. Instead you held strictly to the booking terms and charged us for the stay - literally adding insult to injury. It's a short sighted reaction as our opinion of your brand is quite negative now. I encourage you to review your policy on matters such as this.
