We stayed from July 31 to August 3 in an Executive Double Room with Lounge Access and couldn’t have chosen a better base. The location is unbeatable — right next to Queen Street Station and around the corner from Buchanan Street, perfect for exploring Glasgow on foot.
The Executive Lounge was a real treat, with snacks, refreshments, and extra drinks — a great place to meet like-minded travellers enjoying Glasgow’s hospitality. Our minibar was replenished daily (thank you, Mary!) and the personal touches really stood out. Special thanks to Patrick at reception and Mary for making us feel so welcome — People Make Glasgow is especially true here.
We didn’t take breakfast, but the rooftop terrace offers fantastic views over the city, George Square (closed for renovations in August), and beyond. Around the hotel you’ll also notice touches inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, from the artwork to the furniture — a delight for art lovers.
Our room had a classic style but was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed, coffee machine, desk, chairs, and everything we could have needed. We liked it so much we even considered extending our stay by two days — the rate offered was excellent, and we genuinely felt wanted there. No doubt we’d happily stay again.
