This is the hotel you want to book for your stay in Granada. Everything here is perfect and the only issue is that you have to leave when your vacation ends. The location, cleanliness, decor and attention to detail are all excellent. The views were a gem of the city in itself. The private view of the city in all its splendor was definitely a top 3 attraction of the city for us. Starting or ending a day on one of the multiple terasses with a drink and some food was really special. But above all of the above, the staff was incredible. Alejandro is a perfect host, the likes of which I have rarely seen. Robin was perfectly attentive to our morning needs and had some great recommendations for us. Lola had an incredible motherly feel and we felt at home as she prepared custom breakfasts for us. An incredible experience, can only celebrate, recommend and hope to be back again soon. Thanks for everything!

Beautiful boutique hotel with fabulous views over Granada and of the Sierra Nevada mountains. My wife and I stayed at Carmen de la Alcubilla del caracol for three nights in early January. Alejandro made us feel very welcome and was extremely helpful, as was Robin. It is a beautiful hotel and only a 10-15 minute walk from Alhambra or from the City Center. We had a room with a terrace and even in early January we could sit outside in the late afternoon. The room was very comfortable and had floor to ceiling windows with great views over Grenada. We had a great time and I highly recommend it.

This is a beautiful property within walking distance to the Alhambra. With its garden of fruit trees, it is a great place to sit back and relax after a day of walking and sightseeing. Alejandro, the host, is a most affable and helpful person and provides a highly useful synopsis on how to get to the different points of interest in Granada. Even though it is a relatively small city, the public bus is the way to go if you want to visit areas such as Albaicin and Sacromonte, which are located on hills. Alejandro will summarize all thes important details, as well as the shortcut from the hotel to Al Alhambra.

Our stay at this hotel for 5 nights was wonderful. The location is near to the Alhambra and within walking distance of the old city (though there are hills). The host is very accommodating and provided good advice. The hotel rooms and common spaces have a rustic feel to them, fitting the location. Our room had a nice view of the city with a terrace. All in all the hotel was very pleasant and relaxing. Highly recommended!

We stayed at the hotel in november 2024. Alejandro, the hotel owner, has a wonderful, intimate hotel with a homely atmosphere. The room was nice and clean with a balcony, wonderful view and bougainvillea outside. |There is a wonderful garden with orange and pomegranate trees and lush corners to take a break. The personnel, Alejandro and Robin are keen on providing suggestions for eating out or sightseeing. Breakfast is simple, but contains everything one needs.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Carmen de la Alcubilla del Caracol during our recent visit to Granada. The Carmen is very beautiful, and has been lovingly cared for. It has seven unique rooms, and a shaded courtyard with fountains and gardens throughout the property. The views of the surrounding Granada hillsides are spectacular. Alejandro is a thoughtful and gracious host, and part of what makes this Carmen so special. He is a Granada native, and a great source of information about the area. His insights were particularly valuable for our visit to the Alhambra. He gave us a map and annotated it to show us the best way to go in, and how to easily navigate all of Granada. The Carmen is very close to the Alhambra, and a particularly good accommodation for visiting it. Another member of the team at the Carmen de la Alcubilla del Caracol who helped make our visit so special was Robin, who prepared a great breakfast for us each morning, and also provided excellent suggestions and guidance on the area. Breakfast in the courtyard of the Carmen with that amazing view was a highlight of our vacation in Spain. I wholeheartedly recommend this Carmen for visitors to Granada. It is worlds apart from the standard corporate hotel options, and a truly memorable experience!

Lovely boutique hotel just a few minutes walk from the Alhambra Palace (uphill). We really enjoyed our stay here. It has a cosy, relaxed feel to it. The views from the balconies are incredible and sitting outside to eat breakfast and admire the views was a real treat. The bedrooms are clean and well maintained. They have the feel of a family home rather than a hotel, which we liked. Breakfast is the only meal served in the hotel, but there are plenty of very good restaurants nearby. The hotel is a little out of the centre, but it means that you are in a quieter location. It's not a long walk in, but the hills are quite steep, so bring your trainers. Alejandro, the manager, was very welcoming and really knowledgeable about Granada. He made recommendations for places to visit. He also runs the hotel very efficiently. We spent 3 nights here and got to thoroughly explore Granada. I would highly recommend a visit to both this hotel and Granada.
