Carmencita Brunch Lavapiés

Shout out to our waiter Sergio. We had 4 kids with us and he was amazing from start to finish with all the chaos going on. The food and drinks were nothing short of top tier. I had to order the Purple Rain drink twice because it was just that good. I highly suggest the Carlos Rancheros, absolutely incredible. If you’re in the area this is a Must Visit! There’s a reason they have almost 2k reviews with an almost impeccable 5* rating.

1 euro mimosas were amazing. Very well balanced would recommend. We got the pitcher for 8€ and got probably 9-10 glasses out of it. We ordered the foothills burger, pitiful picadillo Benedict, Carlos rancheros. All of them were fantastic especially the benedict! All strong recommendations. I recommend a reservation for sure as they are often busy. Amazing service from Daniela, couldn't have asked for more from her!

Despite it being a busy Sunday, our party of 5 only waited about 10 minutes. The food was so delicious. It was apparent that everything was fresh, with quality ingredients. The eggs and bacon were cooked to perfection. The French toast was amazing as well. Fresh squeezed orange juice was the best I’ve ever had. This meal surpassed any breakfast in the US. It definitely won’t taste the same, not even close, even at our favorite and popular breakfast spot in San Diego, California. I can’t forget to mention that our server was so nice (I’m sorry I don’t remember her name).

Café Carmencita Lavapiés is such a cozy and welcoming spot. The atmosphere makes you feel right at home, perfect for relaxing or enjoying time with friends. The food is absolutely delicious, with generous portions that leave you more than satisfied. A wonderful place to enjoy good flavors in a warm setting — highly recommended!

Perfect brunch spot! Nice staff and lovely atmosphere. I had the Piti Picadillo with fries and I loved it, the eggs were perfectly cooked and the chorrizo was delicious. Had a mimosa as well. I would definitely come back! Highly recommended.

I had a super friendly welcome from Laura as I walked in. She is simply amazing and gave me awesome recommendations on from the menu. She also understood English as well which really helps when you can't speak Spanish. The drinks and food were delicious and I hope to return soon again.

Benedicts are their signature dishes, so a must-have when you are here. The mushroom scramble with goat cheese was superb. Recommend the carrot cake and blue cheese cake too. The store may be easy to miss since its entrance is a narrow door along the streets, but keep a lookout for their sign to enjoy a hearty meal.

The vegan option was great! It didn't feel like a worse alternative to the other things on the menu, i really appreciate this.
