I usually do not write negative reviews about restaurants, but this experience being the second at this establishment in the last few months needed to be noted. Another office was kind enough to gift us with a luncheon that they delivered. Unfortunately, not only was the order not complete ( missing turkey, cheese on the sandwich and a drink), the bread was stale, the salads had one slice of cucumber and tomato on each and the soup had a sour taste. We had called and left two separate messages on their answering machine with no return call by the following day. One of our coworkers went down to the restaurant and spoke with one of the employees to which she was told they were in between bakeries ( that's why the bread was limited) and that they were very busy that day. She was then told to call the following morning and to ask for the owner. As recommended, she called in the morning and instead of speaking with the owner, was greeted by the lady she spoke with the previous day. She said the lady once again apologized for the mistakes but had only offered a $6 refund. You would think as a courtesy for the inconvenience, poor food quality and dismissal of the messages left and also stopping by, the order would be corrected. Nope, $6 refund was offered, which she declined. 3 sandwiches with salad/ soup at around $15 each that were made with stale bread, no turkey or cheese and a single slice of tomato and slice of cucumber on each and sour soup that was tossed was more than enough to leave a bad taste in our mouths permanently. As I said this has happened before at Carnegie's and we decided not to address it with the establishment, chalking it up to them having a bad day. So for this being our last food experience here a one star review is being left. The employee was quite polite but an apology and excuses is not what I consider good customer service to try and make the customer whole. The food should have been replaced with quality products and made as ordered. Very disappointing.
