Carnitas Barajas

We came here because Miguel's down the street was closed on Mondays. The menu sign indicated they served other meats, but when we were there, they only had carnitas and chicharromes. Most people were getting carnitas. It was plentiful but lacked flavor. Get the chicharrones instead and get it mixed. They will mix pork rinds and pork belly, and they are excellent. Four of us got 4 carnitas and 8 mixed chicharrones, and we were stuffed. Chicharrones were so good that we ordered 8 more to go for our breakfast the next day. 20 tacos and 4 drinks came out to $21. No alcoholic beverages available.

Be sure to bring your phone with the google translate app because the menu is in Chinese. At this place you buy the meat by the kilo and they serve you with a pile of tortillas and all the sides. Beer comes from across the street.

Papas Rellenas are delicious! People are super friendly! Cute little spot and they stay open later than most. Great for take out, too!

Happened upon this place for lunch. Stick with the mixed chicharrones like the other post indicated. Carnitas were dry. I even got some chicharrones to go. This place is a good pit-stop and a nice stop from all the gringo -traps.

We had the chimicarron and carnitas tacos with toppings. We got sick the next morning. We think it was this place because the condiments were sitting out (for hours?) and there were lots of flies.

Great food, friendly service! We had the carnitas tacos. One of our favorite meals in Baja. We loved it!

Got take out carnitas complete with all fixings, packaged nicely to eat at our hotel outside of town. Perfect first meal.
